Akki held the door for her while she entered, still thinking over her bow. He let the door slide back in and followed her in the cafe. He came up slightly behind on her right, and meet the lady in the middle. The cafe was open, having bar stools right behind the podium. Green and darkbrown stools were beside the caramel walls, with the floor matching dark, wood flooring. Heels tapped across the wood, carrying big round plates full of coffee mugs and pastries. The seats by the window were green with dark wood, the same as the bar stools. The tables were more of a sandy brown color, while the counter the bar stools were perched up upon was dark marble. The place looked fancy, though sorta has a homey feel. He stared in wonder as the lady on the podium clicked her heel again, wearing high-heeled, brown boots. She scowled a bit and waited for him to look at her. Finally taking in all the details, he looked at her. "Oh, uh yes. Table for two please." He said, but the lady was still scowling. He realized that she wasn't scowling at him, but rather, Tenshi. She eyed her up and down for a moment, then grabbed two long, plastic menus. "Mmkay. I'm Kara and i'll be your server today. You guys look new, it's good to see new customers. Our soup of the day is English Clam Chowder, which is half off." She rambled, her heels clicking on the wood.

He followed her to a seat with a clear look of the street. The table gleamed in the light, and so did the seats. It was well clean and smelled of citrus. He sat down and watched her slide the menu's to their spots, almost perfectly landing them in front of them. Now that he was sitting down, he noticed her height. She was well taller then him, while having light caramel hair, tied into a pony tail. She had two small, curled bangs in front of her face, and she blew them out of her eyesight. She wore long black jeans with a green long-sleeved shirt, folded at her wrists. Her green collar was unfolded, but slightly folded at the tips. She had dark brown eyes, though her voice betrayed her looks. She spoke slow, as if she was bored. She had a few buttons on her shirt unbuttoned, showing the beginning of her cleavage, and her brown chest. "Call me when your ready to order." She said as she walked off, then someone spoke again. "Kara! Dammit I'll fire you!" A voice spoke in the kitchen, which she just ignored.

Tenshi was amazed at the place. Looking at the counters and stools,including the windows. She almost felt like she was back with her mother when she was so little. She saw the dirty look Kara gave her. She wanted to return it but,gave a friendly smile due to her own personality. Tenshi waited for Akki to be ahead before following him. She didn't really like this girl,her animal senses can already tell about her bad behavior. As she sat down on the other side of the table,she watched the girl walk off after examining her. She waited till she was far off before saying "Trouble maker." in a cocky tone.

Akki heard Tenshi's remark, but ignored it. He didn't exactly like his women like this, but he didn't want the innocent ones. Picking up his menu, he casually flicked open it, seeing that it had three parts. He expected the writing to be fancy, but besides the titles for the sections, it was pretty decent. He glanced at Tenshi, then back to his menu. "You need help?" He said, but he eyed their waiter out of the corner of his eye. She was looking straight at them, her eyes flickering to Tenshi. Catching his gaze, she quickly put her head down and continued to chew her gum, blowing it out of her mouth every few seconds. A bell ringed as more people came in, making her get off the bar stool and meet them. She didn't even bother to hide her stare towards them. Meeting the party with boredom, she stopped looking at them. "Welcome to the cafe, you guys already know my name." She said it with almost a sneer, and which the party, a group of four males, just laughed. "Yeah, sure. Your not even gonna bother to be nice to us this time?" He said through his laughter, but his laughter quickly faded as he followed her to their seats, the other people just falling in line. She sat them in a corner, by the last window seat. She slid the menu's again, leaning on one leg. "Hey, you two ready to order?" She yelled across the room, not bothering to even walk around to their table.

Tenshi felt her gaze,staring back at her as her eyes looked feline for mere moments. She was ready to hiss but,instead let the girl's eyes focus on the group of males. She looked down to the menu,then looked at Akki. "Nah,I will get whatever your having. I don't have much taste really." she giggled to him,hearing the group walk past them to the far corner. She heard the ladie's response,ready to shout back but,waited for Akki.

The waitress scowled as Akki stared at her, but refused to respond. The group that had just came in was now staring at him too, but then their eyes fell on Tenshi. They looked like they were about to holler, but he made sure they didn't have any time to. "You going to come to our table, or does your boss?" He asked with a hint of a challenge, making her curse under her breath. Akki caught the word, and put his hands on the table, ready to get up. The lady sped up again, almost jogging the short distance to their table. He let a smug grin on his face fall, while she held her pen with a iron grip, making her hand shake. "Now, what do you need?" She gave a malicious smile and pretended to care. Having her attention, he poked around the menu for a bit, making her wait. Just as she was about to turn around, he spoke, knowing that he had her attention. "We'll have your award-winning pasta with a sprite, then give us both your daily special." He said, looking at her in the eye. He smiled as she whipped around, walking to the podium, greeting more guests. The group that was sitting on the table clapped, then turned to read their menu's. He sighed, setting his menu aside.

Tenshi watched all this happen,Akki's expression,the group's claps. She laughed sweetly,her hands closing the menu as she slipped it on top of the pile. She leaned back and let her hair flow as she watched Akki. "Never knew you could be rather intimidating." she said,then rethinking it. She didn't know if that could be a compliment but,shrugged it off her shoulders as she tried to act a bit normal.. For once.

Akki gave a smile, though he watched the kitchen door slide open. The lady was old, with long grey hair tied to a ponytail, flowing on her back. She had warm blue eyes, though her grey hair was frizzy near the top, and fell to her face. She had a few wrinkles by her forehead, but overall, she didn't look to be too old. Her hair even had blonde tints here and there. She was carrying a plate with two mugs of steaming liquid, with whip-cream smoothly floating on the top. She walked quickly towards them, giving a strained smile. "Oh, I am sorry for Kara. Please don't think too badly of it, but were short on staff and Kara is the only one who has hours like this." She said, and passed out the mugs to each of them. "This is our Hot Chocolate, it's brought us most of our customers over the years. We haven't seen too many though, since most of them moved away to find work." She said and had a saddened look on her face, which made Akki pay attention. Grabbing the tray, she put it on her shoulder, but not before Akki managed to put out a question. "Really? This place seemed like the type to get a lot of business. If you need help, I could help you wait tables, while I'm here anyway." He said, but then bit his tongue. This lady could be lying, just trying to get a sob story to make them stay. He regretted saying it, but then the lady smiled. "Oh, well I would've said no in the past, I wouldn't mind if you would help, though I can't pay you." She said and walked back to the kitchen, not letting Akki say anything. Kara passed his table, not staring this time. "Well, there goes my relaxation time." He muttered and shuffled rather miserably, regretting saying it, but didn't want to withdraw his offer.

Tenshi giggles at Akki,grasping the cup with her pale hands. She slowly lifted it towards her lips as she sipped on it. Oh my was the lady right! It tasted like honey,mixed with sugar and having a milky touch! She purred softly at the taste but,stopped as she came to reality. She put her hand on her stomach as if to act it out if it was a simple hunger cry. Her eyes moved slowly around the cafe,eyeing the door. She felt as if someone was going to walk in,or walk by. She shrugged the feeling away as she fell into the sweet,coffee's hypnotizing luxury.

Akki lifted his own mug after awhile, seeing that it sparked a response from Tenshi. He looked at her questionably, but then decided it was one of her weird noises, then took a sip. He closed his eyes as the warm feeling slipped down his throat, and he rubbed the tongue on the roof of his mouth to keep the flavor. As the flavor left his tongue, he then took another sip, breathing in deeply to smell it. He licked off some whip-cream on the corner of his lips, while sensing a presence next to him. Opening his eyes slowly, he noticed Kara looking at him, her hand supporting her head. She took a few curious glances at Tenshi, then spoke to him. "You guys seem new here, though you don't look like a couple. Grandma must have hit you with a sob story, but it's not that bad, so don't waste too much of your time." As soon as she spoke, she got up and quickly left, almost as if there was a customer waiting to be seated. As she got to her podium however, someone came in. The cafe was soon beginning to fill up, soon becoming lively with chats. More people with her uniforms and the grandma's came in from the back, serving the new rush hour customers. "Things going okay for you so far?" He asked her, looking at her through the mound of the disappearing whip-cream.

Tenshi had blushed deeply as she heard the word 'couple' from the waitress's lips. She stopped sipping on the hot chocolate and placed it down on the table. She looked down into it as she saw her reflection. She let out a slight giggle as she saw herself. Her emerald eyes showed with brown shading inside the cocoa. Her digits circled the tip of the cup as she lifted her head slowly to Akki. She heard his question but,wasn't sure who he directed it to. Her eyes looked away.

Akki looked at her for a few moments longer, wondering what was going through her mind. Deciding to let it go, he placed the mug on the table and licked his lips, clearing the evidence of the hot cocoa. He heard a faint sizzle come from the kitchen, then the old lady from before walked quickly towards them. Her skinny arms held up their food with surprising strength, not wavering an inch. She placed the two orders right beside them, then the drinks. Both of their plates were oval and green, but very thick and with patterns on the side. The pastas on their dishes looked almost identical, with a few stray noddles here and there. It was covered in creamy Alfredo sauce and seasonings were sprinkled on it. He grabbed the soda first though, grabbing the straw by his plate and popping it with a quick action. He grabbed the sheet with his teeth and pulled it off, grabbing the plastic and pushing it into his glass. Finally, he took a sip of the Sprite, letting the bubbly soda roll down his throat. It was much different then the sweet hot chocolate earlier, cooling his mouth down. He grabbed a fork from his wrapped napkins and poked the pasta, looking at it with uncertainty.

Tenshi focused on the lady,smiling gratefully at her as she backed up a bit to see the food and drinks placed down beside them. Her hand reached for a fork,looking at the old lady once more. "It looks delicious!" she said,her voice sweet and cheerful. She let her hand slide on the table toward the plate,the fork scooping up a little of the spaghetti. She sat the fork up and twirled it around three times as she drew it toward her mouth and ate it.

Akki watched vaguely on how she twirled her fork neatly, then rose it to her mouth. As the bubbly drink made his mouth finally cool down, he grabbed his fork and stuck it in the pasta. He felt hunger rise in his stomach and rose his fork up a bit, then twirled. Bringing it up to his mouth, he hesitated a moment to look at the steaming bite. Blowing it quickly, he brought it to his mouth and waited. He closed his eyes and let out a long mmmmm as he rolled it around his mouth, finally swallowing. After taking another drink of the Sprite, he decided to try and have a casual chat. "So you like taking care of animals?" He said, racking his brain on something that she had said before.

Tenshi looked at Akki,slurping on a few stray strands of the delicious pasta and nodded. "Yes,I do." she then lowered her head in thought,reminding herself that she was an animal. Her head tilted toward her sprite as she heard the bubbles pop and sprout toward the surface. She grabbed it quickly and then sipped on it,hoping the irritating noise would end soon enough.

Akki managed some more bites with the pasta, soon eating more then half of it. He watched her attack her Sprite with annoyance, and he chuckled a bit. "Is this your first time having Sprite?" He asked teasingly, wondering how weird this girl could get. As he ate more pieces, the old lady soon came back, carrying two bowls of soup. "Ah, it's hot! Sorry, your order got delayed a bit." She said in her old, kind voice. He watched as she skillfully placed the soup on the side of their plates, barley even moving the soup inside. He took a spoon out and put it in, then took it out slowly. He eyed the steam that came from the spoon, then blew on it. After a two seconds of blowing, he finally put the spoon in his mouth. He felt it slightly burn his tongue, but only laid his hand on his drink. Once he had put the spoon back in the soup, he grabbed the straw and began to sip the Sprite, cooling his mouth. He let out a ahh while sinking in his sink some. Trying to spark up more conversation, he spoke again. "What kind of animals are in the town?" He asked.

Tenshi giggled,thinking about it. She nodded slowly,putting it down as she smiled at the old lady. She mimicked Akki,taking her spoon and sipping the Soup. Her tongue didn't burn,she was dead on the inside anyway. She had only the normal senses besides tempature. Her head lowered to her plate of spaghetti as her fork scooped up more and more. She blew on it to look at least somewhat normal,eating it quickly. She pricked her head up to Akki's odd question. "All kinds. Foxes,bears,elk,squirrels."

Akki watched her carefully, eyeing her eating the soup. Shrugging it off how she ate, he turned towards the room around him. The place was just about to be full, with a few seats open at the middle table. The chats of stranger's reached his ears, but he couldn't focus in on one conversation. Just then, a loud noise came through the door. He looked at the door, as of most of the customers did as well, and saw a big group cheering. They were all surrounded by this one man, though were paying too much attention to him to even bother and fit through the door. They struggled to fit, until Kara came up in front of them. "SHUT UP." She yelled, and got all of their attention, even the man in the middle. He looked up to her, his eyes itching to go to his phone. "You guys going to buy something or just make noise?" She asked them loudly, making a scene in the whole diner. Somewhere in the kitchen, someone yelled. Akki looked away from the scene and turned to finishing his pasta, and with just a few bites, finished the whole thing. Then taking a long sip of his Sprite, he watched the scene again. By now, the group's excitement had turned sour, though they were still saying something, and still huddled around his phone. Tara tapped her foot on the floor, waiting for something. He turned his head away again, but eyed them. "Didn't know this place was that lively."

Tenshi watched them walk in,her hand pressing down against her headband as she narrowed her eyes at them. She smiled once they stopped by the waitress's command. Her head went down as she began to eat again,her mind focusing on little bits of every conversation. As she heard Akki's words,she lifted her head. "Well,it does look quite lively before."

Akki noticed her touching her headband again, and curiosity made him give in. "Is something wrong with your heabeand?" He asked, looking down at his soup bowl. He was starting to feel full, but took more bites out of the soup. The Sprite was less then a quarter full, but all the waitress did was stare at their table, then walk off. Akki didn't know what her problem was, but he was glad that they would be leaving soon. Her stares were starting to annoy him, making him almost want to confront the girl in front of the entire crowd. He took a look out from his window, and saw a lot more people walking down the sidewalks. "Is your first time out going good? I was thinking that we could maybe go somewhere else, but if you want we can go home." He asked, knowing that he had to first return the bowling alley shoes.

Tenshi shook her head. "No,I usually do that because of the noises.." she mumbled,her eyes gesturing toward the crowds. She finished her food,sipping on her sprite as she leaned back in her seat. She could still hear the group of men chatting about,her eyes traveling the crowds. She then took a last sip before speaking. "Yes,it was. I'm actually quite glad I came out! And yeah,we should return your shoes and maybe do whatever you want." she smiled to him,placing her cup down.

Akki smiled, pleased that he could do his fun plans. He grabbed his soup bowl and lifted it up to his mouth, while the familiar sound of click, click, click emanated right next to him. He swallowed the rest of his soup, knowing who it was. As the warm soup was no more, he laid it softly on the table and wiped his mouth off, then looked at Kara. She had been taking turns glaring at both him and Tenshi. She put the check on his table and walked straight to the kitchen. He played with the check a bit, noticing that the meal had only costed about 20 bucks, which surprised him. He didn't even look at the price before he ordered the food. "Ready to go?" He asked her, picking up the mug and draining what was left of it. He then put the remaining pasta on his fork and ate it, full but didn't want to waste it. He could tell that the lady was watching him. Wiping his mouth, he tried to think of where they could go next.

Tenshi looked at Kara,her eyes quite curious. She then looked down to her plate,hearing Kara walk off into the kitchen. Her own plate was empty,her sprite half way filled. She thought about drinking the last of it but,couldn't. She then nodded to Akki. "Yep."

Akki got up rather quickly and walked over to the waiting Kara. She was on her phone again, acting like she wasn't paying attention to them. He put his card on the wooden podium and she took it quickly, messing with the machine quickly. He tapped his foot on the floor while he waited, and before he knew it a stuttering noise was coming for the machine. She laid his card on the wood with a slam, then quickly turned around to answer the patrons. "Looks like someone is in a bad mood." He muttered under his breath and quickly slipped the blue card back to his wallet, and held the door for a few ladies that were coming in. "Since I chose the last spot, do you wanna choose the next place? I was thinking that we might go somewhere, but I have to go and find a cab to take me to the nearest city." He said, forgetting about the lack of internet at his lodge.

Tenshi picked up the plates while Akki went to go see Kara. She walked into the busy kitchen and put them inside the sink,then bowed to the old lady that served them. "It was delicious. I might come here more,no,a lot often." she corrected herself,smiling gratefully before walking out. She quickly rushed to Akki's side,then followed him toward the door. "Aww. Well,I'm as much new here as you are.." she said,giggling a bit and blushing out of embarrassment.

Akki was silent a minute, before spotting the bowling alley in the distance. "Well......I guess I can walk you back If you want?" He didn't want to do all the walking, even though it wasted all his time. Then again, he needed to get his things. There might not even be a cab service in the city anyway, which would make him scout for a internet connection. He looked back at the cafe, wondering if it had WiFi. He was too far to tell. Scratching the back of his head, he walked faster, leaving Tenshi behind. "Be right back." He said and rushed into the bowling alley, seeing that the same girl at the counter was still there. She didn't even bother to look up at him, and he ran up to the counter. His shoes were on the counter, and she pushed them toward him. Slipping the shoes off and tying his shoes, he ran out quickly. "I know you haven't been out in a while, so I want to show you a good time. If I can find a cab service would you wanna go to the city with me...though I might have to leave you for a bit." He said, feeling guilty of leaving her.
