Akki was running, but he stopped beside the house he had fallen. He felt exposed and fearful, but he stopped. "Stop being so stupid." He muttered to himself, but he hardly believed himself. Now that he had light, he could see the weak spots. He looked at the dry blood, crouching down and putting his finger in it. It was dry, though some of it got smeared on his finger. He resisted the urge to wipe it on his shorts. Instead he wiped it on an exposed plank of wood.

Her eyes looked through her bangs,staring into her house. Her powers lifted the bookshelf next to the TV,her abusive mind raging on her own body. She turned around,screaming one more time before reaching for a cabinet. She went through many pills,throwing them on the ground. The bottles were empty.. All of them. She turned around,her eyes showing her pain as she looked at the door. She didn't know what to do.. She felt so.. Helpless.

Akki was just started to walk when he heard a scream. It came from the direction of Tenshi's house. He didn't know what to do, but for some reason he ran towards it. Maybe she was dying, or something. Even if the voice had scared him he wouldn't just run away like that. But he wouldn't want to confront a pissed off god to see if she would kill him or not. He felt himself breathing faster and faster, and pushed his legs to keep going. He stopped quickly, looking at her house. He thought about trying to rush inside the door, but that would be stupid. He felt like an idiot running to her again.

Tenshi backed into the wall,dragging her body down it until sitting down. She rested for a moment,the voices coming to a bay. She whimpered in relief,until they started shouting and screaming out of no where. Having such sensitive ears was a fault in many ways,but also an advantage. She held back her scream,knowing it fueled those sorry souls. She flickered her eyes to her window,seeing the glimpse of Akki outside her door. Great.. Just what she needed.

"Tenshi!" He yelled at the house, not wanting to knock on the door. He looked around, not knowing what to do with himself. He shifted his weight on his leg, waiting for an answer. He thought that she might be doing godly business to good for him. He laughed at the thought, then laughed at his stupidity for even coming to her house.

Tenshi lifted to her feet,looking on the ground. Pills were everywhere,and the voices were screeching in her mind. She tried to ignore them as she kicked some bottles away from eyeshot,walking to the door. She gripped the handle,putting on a smile as she opened it. She stared at Akki,the door slightly open enough for her to peak. "What?" she asked angered.

Akki had turned around by the time that she opened the door. But as he stopped to look at the door, he felt his anger slipping. He tried to grab onto it and scowled, but it just didn't seem there. But then again he didn't want to be killed by a demon, she he restrained himself just for his sake. "Nothing, just came to check." He responded, setting off to walk towards the town. He glanced behind him, taking a final look at what she might be doing.

Tenshi sighed at his response. As he walked off,she left the door open enough so he could see her picking up the bottles on the floor. She read each label,rubbing her head while she let a heavy breath escape her lungs. A god on drugs.. Eh,what did you know? She didn't take them every day though. They were like tylenol pills,only to be used for headaches and such. She brushed her hair back,her emerald eyes flickering around. Those pills were strong enough to kill a man,but were the only pill known in the mortal world to keep a god's powers from spiking.

Akki stared at the scene for a moment, unsure of what to think. After a few moments of straining his eyes, he took a few steps towards her door, trying to see more. He guessed that he could see the label of what he thought was Tylenol pills. He didn't know if he should say something or about it or just leave. She seemed to have a lot of it around. Little too much for his liking. He thought about the idea that she might be hiding something else in the bottles made him smirk. "Why do you have pills on the ground?" He couldn't help but ask.

Tenshi jumped as she heard him. She looked over to Akki,hiding the pill bottle she was holding behind her back. She thought hard,sighing. "Expired pills.. I was going to throw them out but,then the trashcan spilled and the bottles went everywhere." she smiled slightly,hoping it's believable. Just what she needed.. A eavesdropper.

Akki felt smug that she hadn't seen him. He walked closer to the door, fighting a smile. Whether it was true or not, he would still annoy her; he had a feeling that it wasn't true, though no reason to explain it. "So you hide in this empty place with a whole bunch of medicine? Do you grow weed here or have a meth lab somewhere?" He asked, the thought forming in his mind. He knew that it wasn't true, but he didn't put down the idea.

Tenshi laughed at him. She put the bottle down on the counter as she walked over to another cabinet. She swung it open,her hands scurrying about in it. She took out a bag filled with very little green plant leaves. "I don't have a garden but,it's medical purposes. It's like laughing gas,except much more woozy."

Akki looked at what she was doing, a comeback slowly coming to his mind. "Might look pot enough for the police, I dunno." He shrugged and turned around, his stomach making him leave. He wanted to get to the bottom of this, so much so that he was laughing at himself for how un-nosy he was being.

Tenshi laughed again at him. She threw the bag back in the cabinet,coughing over the counter. Her ears were pinned down as her attempt was in vein. The voices were over powering,causing her mind to just ache. It was like a person dragging nails down a chalkboard. She tried to hold on her screams,looking at Akki with a rather pleading look. Why would he care anyway?

Akki audibly growled, keeping himself from looking back. He broke out into a run, his head turning around to see a peek at her. He ran faster, forcing his eyes to look at the ground. Eventually he sighed, turning his whole body around to get a look at her. He was glad that he couldn't see her body anymore nor her expression. He ran a lot faster, not wanting to get stopped this time.

"Humph!" she growled,turning away. She closed the door,locking it. The noises ringed in her ears,but they grew less as Akki walked further away. Were they coming because of his bad emotions? She shook her head,grumbling. "No! He's too nice.." she said,denying the fact that he was always like that. She walked around her house,pacing with a broad book in her arms.

Akki opened the Cafe doors, all too familiar with the scene. Kara didn't even glance at him twice, though she looked down at his bandages. He looked at them too, guessing that they might look worse then he thought. He gave her a small smile, which she ignored. Sitting down, she waited a few minutes before giving him a menu.

Tenshi kept pacing,her eyes sharp as she read through it. It wasn't exactly a medical book,more for pleasure reading. It was her favorite over the millenniums. It was The Magician: Nicholas Flamel,by Michael Crow. She was sweating,wanting to know more and more everyday.

There was barely anyone else in the restaurant, so she sat down at the seat next to him. "What's with all your cuts?" She asked, actually giving him eye contact. He ignored her for a few minutes, scanning the menu. He flipped it towards her, feeling annoyed. "I got cut, gimme some pancakes." He said, putting his hands on his face and rubbing his eyes. He could feel Kara's eyes on him, even as he heard her heels walking away.

Tenshi finally slammed the book close,her eyes wide with fear. She took books seriously,even the time eras in the book were dead on from how she remembered. Although the characters were fiction,the swords,spells,and streets were true. She took a deep breath,cooling herself down. She knew what was going to happen next,and couldn't bare the thought of her favorite character leaving the series.

Akki opened her eyes just a bit, staring at the wood. He knew that he would have to apologize sometime, though he didn't want to. He laughed at the thought of him crawling back to her, broke and homeless. He looked outside the window, squinting because of the bright light. His stomach rumbled, but that seemed to be the least of his worries.

Tenshi took a few deep breaths,gathering herself,and her emotions back together. She walked toward the door,sliding her black headband on while wrapping her tail around her like the poofy belt it was. She walked outside,leaving her door open as she traveled the pavement. Her eyes scanned her surroundings,seeming quite alert about something. She was thinking about Akki now,and about his behavior. He should be grateful! She gave him a house,food,water,even his own privacy! All for free too! He should be on his knees instead of disturbing the wildlife! Which he KNEW she loved more then her own life!

Akki's eyes follower Kara's movements as she walked across the store. At least she got rid of those stupid high-heeled boots. If she knew that he was watcher her, she gave no notice. Eventually he wanted to her disappear into the kitchen, then walk out with a platter of pancakes. She let out a soft grunt as she laid the plates on his table, carefully he noticed. He picked up his fork and bit off a piece, his stomach waiting eagerly for the food. Now that he was away from her place, he wondered what else he could do. He might try and call that girl at the bowling alley, maybe go further into the city, or pack his bags up to leave. He resisted the urge to sigh again at the thought.

Tenshi kept walking forward,smiling now. The remedy of birds chirping soothed her tension as she traveled through her small town like a tourist. Her eyes blinked for a moment,a sheen of blue covering her emerald green. The daylight to her now seemed complete darkness,but things stood out. She saw figures of the dead, floating,flying,walking through the town. There wasn't many,and not all of them seemed to regret death. She waved to some,they returning the wave. For dead souls,they weren't what people made them out to be.

Akki grabbed the bottle of syrup and pour a lot of them, then getting a knife and spreading the butter over it. He couldn't get each pancake in the stack, but he put the melting slab on one of the lower pancakes. He cut off another piece, starting to eat it faster now. It wasn't the best he ever tasted, but it was still good. He started to fill his mouth with pancakes and noticed Kara giving him a distasteful look. He turned his attention back on eating again, discovering that he already ate half of the stack.
