Molly grimaced as the police officers continued to question her, and finally ended up saying they'd be back tomorrow. Aggrivated that Jake hadn't told her earlier, Molly plopped back down on her chair and stared at the moon. She was still curious as to whether to ask Jake what he'd done or if she should just let it lie. Molly sighed and changed her mind, getting up and slipping into bed, falling easily into a restless sleep filled with nightmares that had her tossing and turning.

Jake

The outskirts of town held perfect conditions to practice. Although they contained shotguns, those that stung your skin with buckshot, I could deal. The first one reacted by screaming loudly-painful to my ears- and calling after her husband. Who raised a gun to my snout and nearly shot before I pushed the barrel at the deck's surface. I continued these actions throughout the night. I nearly attacked one man, who fearlessly threw his fist into my nose. How idiotic. But I held my cool, and faught the urge.

What woke her this time was the same nightmare she had last time, but more vividly. She had lived long enough (in the dream) to watch Jake kill the young girl on the bed. She heard her own screams, and nearly felt death. Before she'd died, she had sat up bolt-upright in bed, sweat beading down her forehead. She cupped her face in her shaking hands and got out of bed, walking into the bathroom and splashing ice-cold water on her face, her hands still shaking uncontrollably. She stared into the mirror at herself, barely able to imagine how maimed it would look, as it had in the dream. Molly sighed and slumped onto the bathroom floor, crying into her hands. It wouldn't happen. It wouldn't happen. It. Wouldn't. Happen!

Jake

With the weakening effects of the sun, I left the houses and began walking slowly to the city. Letting the change remain unaffecting to me. I ignored the pain and wrongness I felt during the change into human form. As though the wolven form was more natural. I stretch softly, and adjust my long trench coat. Sighing softly and walking towards the hotel. Only to be greeted by the police. They grab at my elbows and fold them back. Furrowing my brows in anger, I rip my hands free and stumble back to hide my power. "What are you doing?!" I act surprised, acting as though they had found the wrong person.

After Molly had finished crying, she wiped her eyes and sighed. She wondered if it'd be safe to call Jake. So, she picked up her phone, hoping he had his with him, and dialed the number. The ringing of the phone was unusually annoying to her at the moment, although she couldn't fathom why.

Jake

I swallow hard at my phone's ringing. They probably recognized it. "Shit" I murmur and back away from them. They immediately pursued, and I turn and run in the other direction. Barely a few paces from them. The one thing I wasn't good at, endurance or speed. I felt the man's gun at my back and stop abruptly, turning around and taking it from his hand. I flip it in my hand and hold it to his chest. "Tell her to stand down" I say, heavy breathing adding to my appearance of defeat, but my calm words saying otherwise.

Molly grimaced when he didn't answer. Where was he? Molly, instead, left a message asking him where he was and telling him she wanted him to come back 'home,' and that she'd had that same nightmare again. She really wanted to talk about it. She hung up a moment afterwards and climbed into bed, but couldn't fall asleep, and turned on the TV instead, watching Pretty Little Liars, only to be reminded about how she hated that show. Molly sighed and stiffened, but watched it anyways.

Jake

The female cop threw her weapon away, as did I. "Now, can we talk about this?" I say between breaths. The man clenched his jaw, obviously not wanting to, but the african american woman agreed to the idea. Only she said that we'd have to go to the station. I shake my head in reply. "Either you let me go now, or we talk somewhere else. Private. No weapons" I say. Trying to negotiate. My phone beeped, saying I had a voicemail. I tried to ignore it.

Molly began to worry about Jake. Usually he answered at the first ring. Molly didn't give thought to calling him again. He probably had a reason for not answering his phone. She trusted that he was alone (hopefully). Molly grimaced and stared at the TV screen. "Damn, I hate that actress!" She yelled at the TV. Molly grimaced. Why was she being so moody?

Jake

The man sighed and turned briskly around, grabbing the small woman's arm and pulling her after him. I furrowed my brows curiously. They were going to just leave me be? Well, it had been a long time. They didn't notice my lack of aging though. I briskly reach into my pocket nad flip open my cell. Ignoring the message but calling Molly's cell.

Molly had just managed to doze into a dreamless sleep when she felt her phone vibrating in her hand, and the ringtone reached her ears. She groaned and opened one eye, answering her phone begrudgingly, not noticing it was Jake was calling. "Mhmm?" She said, sleep clogging her words as she closed her eye again, waiting to see who was on the other end of the line.

Jake

"Molly? Are you ok?" I ask, picking up the colt's and throwing them into a nearby bush before returning to the sidewalk. Heading for the hotel that I had passed trying to run from the damned fit police. "I'm coming back right now" I add before letting her respond.

"Oh, hey," Molly said sleepily, yawning into the receiver. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just had that nightmare again... Wondered where you were.... What happened? You didn't answer the first time. Usually you do." Molly asked, rubbing her eyes with her free hand and waiting for his response. This oughta be good, Molly thought to herself.

Jake

I sigh softly at her words and rub my forhead groggily. "I ran into the police" I say with annoyance "Sorry" I step through the automatic doors of the hotel and walk deliberately towards the elevator.

Molly stiffened. "Oh," she then added, "Well, they did come and talk to me earlier this morning. At like... 12 am. Who does that?!" Molly huffed angrily. "Anyways. I'm assuming you'll be here soon. Love you..." Molly hung up the phone without waiting for his response but didn't bother getting out of bed. She felt suddenly like she was going to throw-up agian. Instead, she remained stiff as a board on the bed, barely breating, as she closed her eyes and tried to relax.

Jake

The hum of a cut line made me grit my teeth. Flicking the phone closed and pushing it into my pocket. I push the button to our floor and ease myself into a sitting position. Hiding my confusion and anger. What was bugging her? The nightmare? It wouldn't come true... I don't think...

Molly moved a bit as she opened her eyes and stared at the TV screen, just as her phone rang again. She expected it to be Jake, but when she answered, it was a different voice. It kinda of sounded like.... Jordan!?
"Hey. I heard you moved to Cali. Nice place..." he was saying. Molly stayed silent and mustered her strength, changing her voice a bit when she spoke,
"Excuse me. I think you have the wrong number."
"No, no. I don't. I have friends... let's say..." Jordan was saying. "Friends that have been tracking you down.... I lost my wife and unborn child! Anybody is willing to help me, darling." Jordan grimaced. "You said you wouldn't run. I told you I'd kill that werewolf boyfriend of yours if you ran. I intend to keep my promise."
Molly croaked slightly. "No, Jordan... You can't know where we...."
"Oh, I do..." Jordan said, his tone rather creepy.

Jake

The elevator slowed, but at the wrong level. I stand up briskly and press my back against the side of the elevator. A very innocent looking business man stepped inside. Acting as though he didn't even register my pressence. He pressed the button to close, as if he was going to the same floor as I was. I eye him nervously and straighten my jacket. Trying to hide my obvious discomfort with him being in the elevator. When the doors shut, it felt like there was barely a second before the man had a gun drawn to my head. I sigh roughly and look at him with fake annoyance. "Really, again?" I say and use my left hand to grasp the man's wrist, my right one to shove into his chest and send him to the ground. I take the gun from him and remove the magazine. Throwing it aside before dropping the pistol to the ground. "You I don't recognize" My words were cold and sharp. Anothing ding from the elevator said we were close to 'our' floor.

Molly couldn't speak. "Why can't you just leave us alone!" She ended up screaming into the receiver. "You don't love me! You know you don't! You just wanted the sex... and the... and the sex... and .... that's it! That's all you wanted!" Molly huffed, getting out of bed so fast that she got dizzy and nearly fell.
"Not true. I found your wedding ring on the pillow and I was completely devestated. I'm going to kill that werewolf, Molly. Then you'll have no choice than to come back to me."
Molly could feel tears welling up in her eyes as she continued to bicker with him, "NO, Jordan! if I come home for good, will you swear to God that you won't lay a finger on him? If you do, I'll kill myself and your 'precious' unborn baby!" Molly said angrily into the receiver.
There was no reply for a moment.

Jake

The man chuckled, something I didn't expect at all. Furrowing my brows, I lean down and take the collar of his shirt in my fist. Lifting him up easily and speaking into his ear. "Make any noise again, and I swear, I will kill you" My voice was low and intimidating, but he only grinned when I threw him back against the ground. "No, that would only go against what you have been 'trying' to do" He says. I shake my head, clenching my jaw and holding back the urge to snap his neck. The doors opened and I look into the hall. Jordan's frame standing at the very end. Talking into a phone. I clench my fist but refrain from getting more angered than needed. I straighten myself and step around the man. Walking towards Jordan. "Hang up" I say calmly.

"Molly, dearest, I'll consider your offer," he stared as he saw Jake coming down the hallway. "Oh. It looks like I have company. I'll talk to you later, sweetums."
Before Molly could yell at him again, she heard the line go dead.
Jordan stared at Jake. "In the last few weeks, you haven't changed at all." Jordan said, circling him. "Funny, I was just talking to Molly. She said she'd come home." Jordan said, twisting the truth, leaving out the fact she said she'd only come home if Jake wasn't hurt. A twisted grin spread across Jordan's face. "I don't know what she sees in you... You must have pretty large balls to get her attention." Jordan lied. He knew that Molly wasn't that kind of girl, but he was hoping silently that Jake wouldn't know that.

Jake

I held a steady expression on the outside, but his words killed me. Did she really say she'd go back? I replaced the sorrow and defeat with anger. Shoving him harshly into the wall and letting my eyes turn amber, not caring at the moment. "Don't you dare speak of her that way." I didn't peak against him, only defended Molly. For that was all I cared about at the moment. Everything and anything I would ever care about.

Jordan grimaced as he hit the wall, momentarily winded. He shook his head and got to his feet before regaining his composure. "Yes. I may as well go pick her up now..." Jordan said, shaking his head. "Turns out you didn't mean anything to her at all." Jordan smirked, then winked. "Well, since she's coming home, I guess I won't have to kill you anyways." Jordan sounded a bit disappointed, hoping he wouldn't catch onto the fact that she was only coming home so Jordan wouldn't kill Jake. Jordan strutted up to the door of Molly & Jake's hotel room, then knocked on it.
Molly opened the door to see Jordan standing there, and Jake stood down the hall. She didn't see the bright green of his eyes. Instead, only amber. "Jake?" Molly said, trying to push past Jordan, but he caught her arm and pulled her against his chest. "Let go of me, Jordan." she said through clenched teeth.

Jake

I lifted my chin, emotions flooding high. Molly answered the door, and from my view, looked as though she moved into his arms. I grit my teeth and ignored her voice that spoke my name. Closing my eyes and lowering my head. Avoiding the pain that grew in my chest. Just as it had been when my life fell apart before. Only that was at the age of 14. Jordan's words echoed in my head with each second.

Molly yanked out of Jordan's arms, and rushed over to Jake. She sighed and looked into his eyes, running a finger over his cheekbone. "What'd he tell you, Jake? What'd he do?" Molly stared into his eyes, and she could see and sense hurt, but why?
Jordan was losing his patience with her. He stalked down the hall and stood a ways behind her, letting them talk, hoping it would become more of an arguement.
