Re: Such Unspoken Mystery Is Like Playing With Fire [ Thunderstruck ]
Molly nodded her head absentmindedly, and fingered the wound on her neck before sighing and staring out the window. When she moved her head, it hurt a bit, but she ignored it, and looked back down to Claire.

I drive carefully after buckling in. I never did break any rules. I guess that made me boring, but I assumed it was what everyone else did. I turn towards post. "Do you have your driver's liscense?" I ask her, looking over for a second before looking forward again.

Molly looked up at him while he buckled himself in. He'd definately changed from the rambunctious werewolf boy--er, man--she'd once knew. But she still loved him, nonetheless. She sighed and rested her eyes, only to hear him ask a question, "Yeah, I do." She opened one eye and looked at him quizically. "Why?"

"I'll have to sign you in for post. Since you don't have an ID card." I say and slow the car down. Waiting to show my card and sign her in. There were few people in front of is. After all, it was getting pretty late. I was so glad I didn't have to go through that changing crap anymore.

"Oh," Molly yawned a bit and stared at him for a moment, then at the line of cars in front of them, "Geez! I'm tired. Why are there so many cars?" She half-whined (which wasn't like her) and she glared out the window. Suddenly she realized how moody she was being and laughed, "Sorry. Didn't mean to be so... moody." she gave Jake a weak smile.

I look over at her curiously when she complains. "It'll go by fast" I say, already moving up a bit. "Sorry" I say and hand the man my ID. He motioned me to the pull out and I take my card back. I turn into the side pullout and he hands me a clipboard. "It's fine" I say while signing on the line provided.

Molly chuckled slightly as he pulled up and gave the man his card. It was interesting how all of these things worked. She'd never really been here before, so it was an interesting new experience. She had her driver's lisence on her lap in case it was needed as she cradled Claire in her other hand, head against the seat, one eye open and watching Jake. She felt bad about being so moody.

I put my hand out to take Molly's driver's liscense when the guard asked for it. They were always so thorough. I had my ID didn't I? I noticed Claire watching me, and barely held from smiling.

Molly smiled and put the driver's liscense in Jake's hand, wondering why this precaution was so necessary.
Finally, Claire gave up on sleeping for the moment, and let out an ear-piercing giggle, and Molly hurriedly went to shushing the child who was now wriggling exuberantly.

I chuckle softly and hand the man her liscense. Who looked it over and handed it back to me. "Have a good night, sir" He said before allowing us to continue on our way. I pull out into the road and hand Molly her card. "She sounds happy" I comment light-heartedly.

Molly took the liscense back and tried to hush Claire, who was giggling unstoppably and pulling on her mother's hair.
"Ouch, Claire!" Molly said, pulling her hair out of Claire's chubby fingers. She looked at Jake and smiled sheepishly, "I guess. Either that or she finds me--OW, no grabbing hair!--or she is just really bored..." Molly continued to try and calm down Claire.

I look over, wondering what I could do to help. Although I knew I could do nothing, it still felt as though I was simply a by-stander. I turn into my lot and turn off the car. "I can go in first and lock Derek up if you want" I say, turning my gaze to the two most important things in my life.

Molly smiled at him gently. "That's not neccessary. I need to get out of this small space with a baby in my arms, anyways." Molly winced again as Claire pulled her hair. She opened her door and propped it open with her foot before undoing her seatbelt. She stepped out of the car and closed the door with her hip before taking in the house. "Nice place." she said sincerely.

I nod softly and get out as well. Locking the doors on my way. I push the keys into my jean pockets and step up to the home. "Sure, better than some I suppose" I say rather modestly. Although it was more of an insult directed to the army's building skills. They weren't all that great to be frank. I unlock the front door and push it open. Hoping Derek was asleep. He usually sleeps through me coming in in the night. A cool draft reached us, but it was refreshing.

Molly yawned slightly as Claire began pulling on the v-neck of her shirt. "Claire, stop it." Molly scolded and gently removed the child's hands, which kept coming back to tug at the fabric. Molly was starting to become rather embarrased with her child's behaviour. "It's better than the one Jordan and I used to share," Molly said coolly, trying not to flinch at the mention of Jordan's name. He was gone now. He'd be gone for a long time, now. "Is the... iguana thing asleep?" Molly asked, still trying to get Claire to stop tugging on her shirt and stretching it.

"I could hold her if you want" I ask. To be honest, I wanted to hold her. She was so small and sweet it was nearly impossible to not want to hold her. Sure she was being rather mischievious, but weren't we all? I laugh lightly at her question and nod "Yea, most likely"

Molly nodded briskly and handed Claire over, who had a fistful of Molly's shirt, and revealed a bit of cleavage before she could get Claire's hand away. "Oop, sorry," Molly flushed a bright pink and looked away. "Thanks for holding her, anyways." Molly looked around and nodded, "Is he really big?" Molly had never seen a live iguana before, and was a bit interested.

I avert my eyes when Claire pulled Molly's shirt. Thinking it rather cute that she flushed such a bright shade. Claire immediately began touching at my face and neck. I didn't mind. Molly's tone was curious, and I smile small. "We can go take a look. Trust me, it's impossible to wake that dragon" I jest, looking into Molly's captivating gaze.

Molly felt her face cooling down and braved it to look at Jake again, ndoding. "If she starts bugging you, I can always take her back and hold her." Molly offered then nodded at his offer. "That'd be cool." She glanced at him skeptically when he said 'dragon.' "Are you implying he's big, or he's a lumbering beast that sleeps 24/7?" Molly asked, hoping it was the latter.

"The last one, although he is rather fat" I say and step down the hall. "He is very gentle" I say and push open a door. This was the garage, where he slept and everything else. Of course, he was on the lowest branch, snoozing away. He rarely climbed higher than required.

Molly cocked an eyebrow as they entered what seemed to be a garage. "You keep him in your garage?" Molly tilted her head, then slightly jested, "If I was kept in a garage, I wouldn't be very gentle." She stared at the iguana a moment. He was bigger than she'd expected. Though, of course, when she thought of any lizard, she thought of the one from Geico commercials.

I shake my head softly and look up "Those branches run through the entire house. Well, except the spare bedrooms. He simply has to climb up through them and he can pass through the walls like his own doors" I explain before shifting Claire tenderly in my arms. She was getting a bit drowsy now. And she wasn't playing with the collar of my shirt like she had been when we first walked inside the garage.

Molly nodded, "Interesting. Did you build it all?" She turned to him to see Claire dozing off gently, and she shook her head. "We can talk later. I think we should find one of those cribs you made and put Claire to sleep." Molly smiled and took Claire back into her arms out of motherly instincts and began rocking her back and forth, humming sweetly in a lullaby.

I nod a reply and open the door. Letting her pass through first. I step out behind her and walk towards the back bedrooms. Opening one, I motion to the cribs. "You have a beautiful voice, you know" I compliment. I couldn't resist. Her voice was just so perfect and it rolled over the melody like it was an everyday occurance.

Re: Such Unspoken Mystery Is Like Playing With Fire [ Thunderstruck ]
Molly smiled a thank you, but didn't stop humming until she was sure that Claire was at least far enough into drowsiness that she'd fall asleep by herself. She blushed, only a tiny bit, when Jake complimented her. She wasn't used to getting compliments, considering that Jordan had never complimented her. In fact, she was the one that frequently had to give him (false) compliments to keep him carnally secure with himself. "Thanks," she muttered as she looked over the cribs, then pointed to a medium-sized crib. "Is it okay if we use that one?"
