Molly had barely been able to hear him, over the nightmare that was replaying itself in her sleeping mind. The one where Claire died. This time, it was more vivid. She could make out the werewolf, and he strangely resembled Jake, but she knew instantly that it wasn't him. Maybe a relative? Like an uncle or brother? Although he'd never mentioned having a brother.
By the time the dream got bloody and gruesome, she was able to snap herself out of it with a scream, but nobody came. She must be home alone. Except with Claire. She shivered madly and sunk back down into the covers, pulling them tightly around her, stealing a glance at Claire. She must've been asleep for two hours, at least. That was odd, because dreams usually only lasted but a few minutes. Suddenly she felt tears roll down her cheeks and she fought herself like crazy to keep them from falling.
She hated showing weakness.

[ It's fine =3 ]

Jake

I glance around me before changing. Instantly. And painlessly. Immediately I caught the scent of another of my kind, behind me, and whip around. Bristling and snarl ripping from my throat. "Calm down... Eesh" Just who I wanted to see -__-. Max stalked closer before turning and around me. "What do you want?!" I snap, and he startles back slightly. "Like I said, calm. Your father sent me. Said you'd be here" He smirks, as though saying I was such a daddy's boy. "And why am I here?" I counter.

[ ha, i love how you put a smiley face in the middle of a post XD ]

Molly was vaguely aware that she was sweating from fear, and she got up and went into the bathroom that was adjecent to her room. She quickly turned on the water and stripped herself of her clothes. The sudden thought that Jake might've forgotten to lock the doors wafted through her mind, and she put on a robe before bringing Claire's crib outside the bathroom door and locking the door to her room before taking off the robe and stepping into the shower.
God, it felt nice to finally be getting clean.

[ Hahaha, I didn't quite know how to show his sarcasm, and that smiley was just perfect xP ]

Jake

"You know why. You see, alpha sent a couple of the lower ranking to your neighborhood" He flashes that creeper smile of his and sits down promptly. My eyes narrow in his comfort around me. I cut him off "How are you so sure I won't slit your throat right here and now?" I snap randomly, and he cowers back. I wasn't in the rankings, but I was known because of my father. And Max and I hadn't the best of histories. "Because I am under your fathers order" He says. But he obviously wasn't sure about it.

[ lol o3o it made me smile ]

After showering, Molly searched around for a hairdryer, realizing he may not use one, and shrugged. Instead, she worked with drying it out with a towel before slipping into her new clothes. She put on a dark grey T-Shirt that said "TRY ME" in bold letters centered across the front in crimson, and some white-washed skinny jeans. It made her feel comfortable to be in her own style of clothing again. She sank onto her bed and cradled Claire gently, resting against the pillows and letting her eyes flutter closed again.

Jake

I growl loudly at his words and step closer. He forces himself to stay put, as I was much larger than he. "You listen to me" I say. Surprised at the power in my voice, and what I was about to see. "You touch Molly, or Claire, and I'll kill you myself" I say, side stepping around him before pausing and turning back. "She is my mate, not yours, and her cub will be taken care of" He nods sheepishly and immediately dashes into the forest to repeat my words and actions to father. That I'd have to deal with. With a heavy sigh, I lift into a light trot and head towards the neighborhood. The scent of two young males reaching my nostrils. But they were in human form. I grimace and turn into my other form. Jogging rather quickly to the house.

Molly flicked open her eyes as the haunting memory of a blood-stained crib reached her, and she shivered, hugging Claire closely. She kissed her sleeping baby's forehead and sighed, wondering when Jake would be home. She had about an hour before he was supposed to return, anyways. She hated the idea of being alone for another hour. Molly decided to busy herself doing something, so she began to unpack her bags of clothing, and settled Claire into her crib before putting the clothes either into the drawer or closet. So much for sharing a room with Jake. She grimaced. She'd really wanted to. So, instead she stopped packing and flopped onto the bed, staring at the ceiling, trying desperately to empty her mind when she thought she heard a knock on the front door.
Curious, she got up and wound her way through the unfamiliar house until she reached the front door and opened it, seeing two young men (who looked Mormon, to her) and she briskly said, "If you're Mormons, I don't need your book. Already got my own religion." She half-sneered.

Jake

I grit my teeth at the sight of the two talking to Molly. "Get you mangy mutts" I snarl at them, walking closer. They turn to look at me, before looking at each other in confusion. "Now" I say, but they still didn't leave. Sighing, I grab the collars of their shirts and pull them back. One threw a fist towards me while the other simply stumbled back. I dodge the punch and grab his fist, pushing him into the wall. "What did he tell you?" I ask him, "The orders, not anything else"

Molly flinched at the violence that was going on around them and she sighed. What'd she gotten herself into? She grimaced and fled back to her room, shutting the door behind her, but not before faintly hearing something about 'the orders.' It sent shivers down her spine. She whimpered and held Claire close to her chest, singing a sweet melodious lullaby to the babe who'd now awoken. The lullaby had been one Molly's mother had sung to her, and she was singing to Claire to calm her down as much as herself.

[ gtg D: mum's orders. you can reply, though. I'll be sure to reply tomorrow ^^ BAIII! ]

Jake

I push his fist harder against his chest. "Now" He looks to his friend. Amber eyes the same as mine. "Fine, get" I growl, throwing him to the ground next to me. He stands up and dusts himself off before walking off with his friend. Shaking my head softly, I step inside and walk down the hallway to Molly. I knock softly on the door before blinking my eyes back to green.

When Molly heard the knock on the door she opened it slightly to see who it was. When she realized it was only Jake, she opened it wide and shuffled into his arms, resting her head on his chest, "When the hell are you going to fill me in on what's going on? I'm starting to not believe your story about work." She then remembered, "But I do have semi-good news. I had the same dream again... The one I had almost a year ago.... but it wasn't you that killed Claire. It was somebody else. But he looked an awful lot like you..." Molly fell silent and snuggled closer into his warmth.

Jake

I was surprised when she hugged me. After all that you'd think she would run from me. The mention of the dream made me stiffen. "What was different about him?" I ask her, pulling her away just enough to see her face. I brush her hair gently over her ear. I didn't want to bring up the dream, but it was important to know who it was. My eyes were a mixture of green and amber as it turned back, and when I blinked they were green again.

Molly looked up at him and bit her lip, trying to remember the dream. "Well...." she said quietly, "He was a bit taller, more filled out, broader shoulders and his hair was a bit darker. Your eyes were pretty much the same... Except his were amber." Molly shuddered. Hew as just creapy. "Is he a real person, Jake?" Molly searched his eyes, hoping desperately that it was only a dream, and nothing more.

Jake

My stomach dropped suddenly at her description and I grit my teeth. "Yea" I say simply and step out of her arms. "I have to take care of something. Will you be ok?" I ask her. Trying not to let my fear of my father polute my mind.

Molly froze and stood rigid at his answer. "He... is?" she squeaked, backing up. And he knew him? He knew the bastard that was trying to kill her baby? Molly nodded dumbly and closed her door, sliding down the wall and cupping her face in her hands. This was a living nightmare. She was doing her best not to cry. She wouldn't...She looked up through tears at Claire's cradle and walked over to her baby girl, picking her up in her arms and singing a lullaby softly.

Jake

Once she closed the door I turn quickly around. Clenching my fists and walking briskly out the door. When I was outside, I turn quickly and bound unseen into the forests. "Father!" I yell out. Deep voice rattling like a snarl. "Father!" I repeat, sliding to a stop and pinning my ears firmly against my skull. "Come here right now!" I command, turning around to try and catch a glimpse. He was herre somewhere. This was his den, and he wouldn't leave the den during the day.

Molly heard Jake's receding footsteps, and she got up quietly, making sure that Claire was asleep before sneaking out of her room. She was hungry, and she should eat. She went into the kitchen and took the burger Jake had gotten her earlier and sat down at the island, eating it slowly and sipping at what was left of her coke. Her ears were honed on any and every noise, making sure Claire and her were the only people in the house. She hoped Jake had remembered to lock the front door, but she was too shaken to go and check, in case whoever those men were were still there.

Jake

The familiar gold eyes of an alpha shone in the sunlight. He blinked a few times from the brightness before stepping into my line of sight. Immediately I jumped at him and pushed him roughly to the ground. Fur bristled and eyes amber. He grasped my ear in his teeth and shook his head roughly. Flipping me to my back. I cry out in pain and push my forelegs into his chest. Shoving him into a tree and causing the tree to crack back against others. He snorted loudly and when he stood, two of his omegas were placed formally at his sides. "Son" he clears his throat. "Serias" He continues. The use of my real name sent shivers down my spine. "Stop it!" I snap, stiffly standing up and staying a few feet from him and his strength. "You are planning to kill my mate and her pup, aren't you?" I accuse, and his eyes narrow. "You are. And you are planning on doing it youself" I step closer, and the omegas snarl. I ignore them and watch my father closely.

After Molly had finished eating, she threw away the trash and wondered if she should run. If she should run away from here and never come back. Did Jake really love her? Or was this all a big scheme to get something from her that she didn't need or want to do? Only for Jake and his little 'clan' of werewolves? She ran into her room, and flopped onto the bed, sobbing into the pillow.
She thought she heard the floorboards creak, but she didn't care anymore. If Claire was to die, Molly would die with her.
