"I'm saving that for Derek" I jest playfully with a grin "Of course you can use that one" I say and pull it out and next to the bed. "Do you want to sleep here for tonight?" I ask her. We had slept together for a night once, but it had been a long time since then. I didn't know if she would be comfortable with me just yet.

Molly chuckled, "Just being polite!" She said. Molly took a blanket she found on the end of the bed and wrapped it around Claire, placing her gently into the bottom of the crib. She put her hands on her hips and nodded. "Umm..." she remembered the night in the hotel where they had slept together once. It had been nice, but she hadn't seen him for a while. Perhaps it would be best for her to sleep by herself for once night. It would be different, though, considering that she had become accustomed to sleeping with somebody, but she said, "Yeah, I can sleep in here." She smiled gently.

I nod "Alright" I say. "The bathroom is the first door on the left" I say before smiling softly and turning to leave the room.

Molly nodded, "Thanks." she put an extra pillow in Claire's crib and brushed her fingers through her hair. She was too tired to care anymore. Claire hadn't been breastfed, which meant she'd most likely wake up in the wee hours of the morning and start bawling. Grimacing, Molly flopped onto the bed and closed her eyes, not even bothering to pull the covers over her, and drifted into a deep sleep.

I shut her door silently and walk into my bedroom. Kicking off my shoes and changing into an old black t along with some sweat pants. I fall into the bed and make myself comfortable under the covers. Resting my eyes and thinking against changing. This was how I didn't change. Thinking moral, human, careful thoughts. It forced the other side of me away, and kept me human throughout the night.

It must've been a while since Molly had fallen asleep. She looked at the watch on her wrist to see that it was two in the morning. Molly groaned and looked over at the sobbing Claire.
She got out of bed and brought Claire back to the bed, along with her blanket. The child was obviously hungry, having gone to bed without food. Molly pulled down her shirt and bra just enough for Claire to breast feed, and threw the blanket over her own shoulders to cover herself and Claire while she ate.

The baby's crying woke me, and I shift positions. Knowing Molly would take care of it. I rest my eyes again and try to rest. Looking at the clock. It was two in the morning. But thank goodness it was a Friday. I let myself fall into sleep again.

Molly had nearly fallen asleep while Claire ate hungrily, but when she was done, she readjusted her clothing and put the now-sleepy Claire back into her crib, wrapped much like a sushi in the blanket. Molly curled up in her bed again, this time pulling the covers about her, taking off her watch and placing it on the bedside table before falling asleep once more, faintly hearing the scuttling of lizard-feet before she drifted off.

I awoke to the scratching and pawing of a hungry lizard. With a grumble, I sat up and pushed him lightly. With that, he immediately lifted himself into the tree and climbed towards the kitchen. That was the only time he moved fast. For food. I run a hand through my hair and open my door. Lumbering down the hallway and opening up the fridge. I pull out come carrots and lettuce and begin cutting them up for him. Nearly falling asleep. Yesterday had been too much work. And I was exhausted.

Molly groaned as she heard footsteps and scuttling claws that woke her up. She flipped onto the other side and burried her face under her pillow, trying to drown out all the sounds. Just at that moment, as if on cue, Claire woke up and started crying again -- most likely for food. Molly groaned into her pillow as she sat up on her bed, fairly light (though still visible) circles under her eyes.

I finish cutting up the food and mist it slightly. Setting it in his tree and leaning back against the counter. Drowsy from the lack of sleep. Derek quickly scuttled up the tree and gulped down the food. I think about going to get coffees, but that wouldn't be a good idea. I doubted Molly would enjoy being left at home with a large iguana and baby. Instead, I turn around and begin preparing coffee from the pot.

Molly swung her legs over the bed and got up, running her fingers through her hair and picking up the crying Claire, peeking down the hall and going back into her bedroom, shutting the door so she could breastfeed the hungry child in private. Like before, she threw a blanket over her shoulders to let Claire have privacy.

Soon the warm scent of espresso teased my nostrils. The coffee bings it quiet alarm and I pull out the pot. Pouring myself a cup of black coffee and placing it back so it would keep warm for Molly. I walk over and sit down in a wooden chair. Placing the coffee on the table and looking over an email about our recent case. Letting a small sigh of annoyance escape my lips. It was pathetic. Investigating fellow soldiers.

Molly finished with Claire, whom she put back in the crib. Claire seemed to be falling asleep again. Molly sighed. She assumed that would be most of Claire's activities until she got a bit older and more energized. She had made her way into the kitchen to hear Jake sigh, and she walked up behind him, placing her hands gently on her shoulderblades and massaging them with her thumbs. "Everything all right? You sound stressed."

I jump lightly at her touch, then relax at her massaging. Nearly making me fall back asleep. "Yea, just typical stupid stuff" I say and minimize the window. "There is coffee, if you'd like." I say, standing up and walking into the kitchen. I pull out a cup and set it on the counter. Leaning back against the cool, fake, granite and watch her. Admiring the beauty she possessed.

"Mmm," Molly said, nodding gently. She dropped her hands as he stood up and got a cup out for her. "That'd be nice..." Molly said and followed him into the kitchen, pouring herself some coffee. Her mind was still grogged with sleep, and she didn't care how it tasted (usually she put sugar in it), but this time she simply put the cup to her lips and took a few sips. It was refreshing. Molly chuckled when she caught him staring, "It's not polite to stare," she jested.

I feel my face warm, but I found out early in life I never blushed. Thankfully. "Sorry, it's hard not to notice your beauty" I say, almost teasingly, but it was 100% honest. I take another drink of the coffee, it's warm yet bitter taste coating my mouth and already making me more alert. "How was Claire?" I ask her after the drink.

Molly blushed slightly, but not as much as she had yesterday when Claire had basically pulled her shirt down in front of Jake. "Seriously, Jake. There are plenty more women that surpass me in beauty." Molly rolled her eyes and tried to ignore the comment. At the mention of Claire she let out a sigh, "Last night? Pretty good, actually. I expected her to wake up more than she did. You do not know how frusterating it is to have to get out of bed at two in the morning to breastfeed a baby. Takes a lot of effort. Especially if you're totally wiped out." Molly grimaced and took another sip of coffee.

I frown at her comment, and opened my mouth to disagree when she continued about Claire. Nodding softly "Sorry" I sympathize. Even if I didn't know how frustrating it was.

Molly had seen him open his mouth, but she'd inturrupted. She cocked and eyebrow and found a seat, sitting down greatfully. "Were you going to say something?" She asked, putting both hands on the coffee cup, warming up her fingers and palms.

"Just that you are degrading yourself and that you definately are more appealing than any other woman" I say casually, sitting down as well and closing my laptop's screen so I could see her. A playful grin lifting on my lips. I couldn't put into words how nice it was to see her again. And that she was in my house. And that I could give her a normal life. It raised my heartbeat just at the thought.

Molly furrowed her brows at his comment, "On second thought, I'm not sorry for inturrupting you." It was half-teasing, but Molly had never thought of herself as attractive (especially since she had lip rings; most guys shied away from that. At the time she'd gotten them, she'd really wanted them. She still liked them, but most men didn't like it), and she found it rather hard to think that Jake, of all people would.

I chuckle lightly, thrumming my fingers against the mug silently. "So, have you any occupation, or did Jordan make you stay with Claire?" I knew I had flinched slightly at the name. And I probably would for a long time. Along with the slight hesitation to speak of it. Derek's claws scratched slightly on the ground, as did his belly and tail brushed. Creating a sound very unique. He made his way into the living room and climbed up on the counch. He watched me. I rolled my eyes and looked back at Claire.

Molly smiled gently, and winced inwardly at the name of Jordan. "I do..." she said slowly. "I work as a kindergarten teacher at Mangrove Gardens School. It goes from pre-k to twelth grade. Although I have a month off, due to Claire. It'll be nice to be off... Although I do love those kids." Molly smiled gently. She stared the iguana for a moment and then looked back at Jake.

I nod at her words "Sounds fun" I say and stand up "Sorry" I say, walking into the living room and turning on the tv. Where the channel was still on animal planet. Derek immediately lit up and repositioned himself for a better view. I walk back into the dining room and sit in the chair I had been in before. "He enjoys television" I say, rather ammused.
