Molly shrugged. "If you like having your clothes fingerpainted, indeed," Molly smiled kindheartedly. She didn't mind having her clothes fingerpainted. Once, she'd brought in an apron for the kids to paint, and she wore it every time they did fingerpainting now. The kids adored her for it. Molly watched Jake get up and turn on the TV, watching Derek move. She raised her eyebrows. "He actually watches it?"

I chuckle at her surprise. "Definately. Sometimes I catch him 'prowling' around the house. This happened after he watched an episode of Big Cats" I say with a smile and look over. At the time, he was simply watching. Every once in a while he would jolt, as though so into the show he tried to catch the prey. I shake my head playfully and look back at Molly. "Very strange"

Molly couldn't help but laugh. "That's quite strange." Molly smiled and leaned back, taking another sip of her coffee and then said, "So, what are we going to do today?" Molly asked. She yawned a bit, still waking up. She was glad that Claire was sleeping.

I lean back as well. "Well, if you are going to stay with me, maybe we could go" I pause and think for the word, failing to find it, I improvise "Shopping for decorations and such" I say, taking another drink of the now warm and not hot drink in my hands. The heat nearly burning against my palms. But it felt good this early in the morning.

Molly nodded gently. She was hoping, some day in the near future, she wouldn't only move into his house, but maybe they could sleep in the same room together, like they had that one night. "That sounds fine." Molly smiled and took a sip of her coffee. "Like... room decorations?" Suddenly a bit confused, she added, "For Claire or me?" Molly chuckled at her idiocy.

I shrug "I thought women enjoyed decorating their homes" I say, slightly embarressed at my stupid remark. I guess I just assumed when I saw those magazines for home decorating and the women on the front at the grocery store.

Molly stared at him for a moment before laughing. "We do, I guess. Just some women more than others." She tapped her fingers on the coffee mug and downed the last of the coffee. "I guess we could go shopping, then go out to lunch, maybe. Does that sound nice?" Molly asked, standing up and walking over to the sink and rinsing out her mug before looking for the dishwasher, and asking, "Is it clean or dirty?"

I nod "Oh, sure, if you'd like" I say and stand. Rinsing mine out as well and taking her mug softly from her hands. "Dirty" I say and pull out the top rack. Placing them neatly along the prongs. "Unless you'd like to go clothes shopping for yourself" I say. Just then thinking of the perfect place for a nice lunch. But first, breakfast would be nice. As if cooresponding to my mind, my stomach growls silently. I open the door to the fridge and pull out an egg carton. "Do you like omlettes?" I ask her.

Molly gave him a lopsided grin when he took the mug and put it in the rack. "I could've done that," She protested before crossing her arms in a teasing, childish way and seating herself back down where she had been originally. "Oh, that may be a good idea. I don't want to be wearing these all the time." Molly shrugged. When he offered an omelette(sp? XD) she nodded. "Yeah, I do." Molly leaned forward a bit, resting on her elbows. "I didn't know you cooked." She commented.

I smile across the counter at her childish behaviour. Pulling out a few more ingredients. "Not really, but I guess I sorta learned" I say, obviously trying to hide sounding stupid about not being very good at cooking. I pull out a pan and set it on the stove. Lighting it, and waiting for it to heat up. "Do you want to go to the mall? Or somewhere else... I don't know of many stores around here.." I add at the end.

Molly noticed his smile and rolled her eyes. Men, she thought to herself. She couldn't help but smile at the man she'd gotten a hold of. She was happy now, to be with him. Maybe they'd have a happily ever after. She ignored his comment about cooking, shrugging it off with a nod of her head. "I dunno..." she asked. "There's a small store that I used to shop at. It's about 30 minutes from here, I'm guessing," Molly shook her head. "It's not worth going that far."

I crack an egg into the pan and left it for a second to harden. "Well if you like it, why not?" I say before adding a couple slices of Kraft cheese to the tops and a bit of cilantro and such that I found in the fridge.

Molly watched him and then shrugged. "I dunno. Didn't know if you wanted to go shopping that far away - for me, may I point out - instead of going 5 minutes to the mall." Molly was never ceased to be amazed by him. He was perfect. She watched him fix the omelet and said, "You obviously know almost as much as i do about cooking," she teased. "I may sign you up for Iron Chef." She joked. "How would you feel about that?"

I chuckle softly at her words. Possitive she was better than I at cooking. "If you'd like" I say simply before folding the omelette and letting the other side cook. Looking up to meet her gaze. It was just so captivating. And I found myself lost inside them. I catch myself and look back down at the food, slipping it onto a plate I had pulled from the cabinet and setting it on the counter beside me before starting another. Once I had the other set to cook for a little, I take her the food. Kissing her forehead lightly. "Would you rather go to the mall?" I ask her.

[ i'm going to go soon.... i'm tired... ]
Molly smiled. She was glad she'd made him laugh---er, chuckle. She rolled her eyes at his answer before watching him fold the omelette intently. They both looked up at what seemed the same time, and stared into each other's eyes a moment, before Jake broke the contact by looking back down at the food. She sighed quietly and looked at her fingers, tapping the tips together patiently. When he brought her the food, she smiled and thanked him, taking up a fork and setting gently on the side of the plate. She'd wait to eat until his was ready, despite her hunger. "It doens't matter," she murmured quietly, glad to feel the touch of his lips again. She wondered when they'd be able to kiss each other on the lips, like they had before.

I hesitate, then return to the kitchen. Placing the cheese and cilantro as I had the other one. Letting it rest for a few seconds before folding it and flipping it. I wondered how long it'd be before we were they was it was before. Although I figured it'd never be as it was. Since I didn't have to lock myself up. I felt rather broken without changing, and I hadn't done it for months now. But I wouldn't change if it was not necessary. It would be useless pain anyway..

Molly watched him hesitate, before he went back into the kitchen. While he was gone, instead of eating, she leaned back and thought. What if things were the way they had been before? The sudden realization that it wouldn't have worked between them hit her. She wouldn't have been able to sleep alone every night. She was a woman, and she needed a man that could at least share the bed, and keep her warm on cold winter nights. That was every woman's dream, wasn't it? Sighing, Molly fiddled with her fork and waited for Jake to rejoin her.

I push the omelette onto the plate and sit down in the chair I had been in before. Cutting it silently with my fork. Molly seemed to be thinking about something, something that was bothering her. "You ok?" I ask before taking a bite. It was hot, and nearly burned, but I forced it down.

Molly barely looked up when she heard Jake sit down. She didn't snap out of it until he talked to her. She smiled at him weakly and said, "Yeah, yeah. I'm fine." She looked down at her omelette and began to cut it with her fork, taking smal mouthfuls, her mind still working 1,000 miles per minute.

Something wasn't quite right, but I tried to push it away. If Molly didn't want me to know, then I guess I didn't need to know. I take another bite and couldn't keep my mind from racing. "So, the mall or the other store?" I ask her, trying to start a new conversation.

Molly barely caught his question. "Hmm? Oh, umm... We can go to the mall first. See if there's anything there." Molly shrugged and took another bite of the omelette. It was good, she had to admit. She'd cook dinner, then. See what he had to cook with and she'd make something. She couldn't keep her mind from wandering back to what things would've been like.

I nod softly. Now finding the situation rather awkward. Suddenly, I lost my appetite. I play with the food absently with the fork. Now letting my mind wander to what Molly could be thinking of. Was she scared of me now? Since we had been apart for so long? Or did she not want to be with me anymore... Was I boring? I hoped not. That would be terrible. Although, I wasn't quite sure how a werewolf would be boring...

Molly absentmindedly noticed he wasn't eating. She didn't like where this was going. At that exact moment, she heard Claire start crying. What perfect timing. She didn't think she'd ever be so happy about Claire's fits again. Molly frowned and took another bite of omelette. "I'll probably be back down to eat it." Molly pushed back from her seat and jogged down the hallway and into her room.

I fake a smile and nod, watching as she bounds down the hallway. I then let a small sigh slip from my lips and slouch back into my chair. Resting my striking green eyes and trying to think about the case. The man was in his late 40s, and he had supposedly raped a 23 year-old soldier. However, she admitted to drinking that night. Claire's cries rose above my thoughts, and I immediately snapped back to thinking of Molly and how she appeared unhappy.

Re: Such Unspoken Mystery Is Like Playing With Fire [ Thunderstruck ]
Molly bent down into the crib and picked up the crying child. Claire obviously wasn't hungry, only wanted attention. "Hello there, sunshine," Molly whispered to her baby. She knew Claire would start bawling again if she put her back into the crib to sleep, so she exited the room with Claire in her arms and back down the hallway. All the while, whispering things to Claire to keep her quiet and interested.
