Re: Such Unspoken Mystery Is Like Playing With Fire [ Thunderstruck ]
Molly smiled a thank-you as he opened the door and let her step out first. Her heart fluttered as she felt his lips against hers again. She swore that'd never get old. "Hell yeah, I'm sure." Molly said to him in a teasing way, before taking his hand in hers and asking, "One question, where are we going now?" Molly hadn't really thought about it yet, until this moment, she'd been so wrapped up in the feelings that had finally been let out by Jake and herself. Suddenly she felt sick and laid a hand on her stomach before adding, "The quicker we get out of here, the better. I need to lay down."

I nod and pull out my wallet, checking it to see enough for two days worth of a hotel. I glance around and put my wallet back. "Let's find the nearest hotel then" I say and step down the stairs slowly. Holding her hand and making sure she didn't trip.

Molly nodded in agreement, watching him count his cash. "I have money, too, you know." Molly said, giving him a lopsided smile as he put his wallet back. He seemed a bit on edge, but that was to be, seeing as they had been caught kissing in front of the whole neighborhood, basically. "The nearest hotel is almost a mile away, Jake." Molly grimaced. "I don't want to walk that far. My car's at the shop being repaired after the crash." She frowned again, greatfully accepting his help down the stairs as his hand remained in hers.

"There goes my idea" I say, looking at the cracks in the sidewalk before coming up with an idea. I roll my eyes at myself "Taxi?" My eyes moved to the street catching the sight of an orange car. I reach my hand out and it promptly pulls up beside us. I open the door for her and usher her in before sitting on the worn cushion as well.

Molly rolled her eyes slightly as he stared at the sidewalk. She chuckled to herself as he offered a taxi ride instead. She shrugged, showing her consent. She didn't care, at least she wouldn't have to walk. Molly watched as the bright orange taxi pulled up beside them and Jake ushered her inside, and she gladly went in, resting on the cushion and putting on her seatbelt before Jake came in. The taxi driver asked where to, and she gave him the address of the hotel, and he nodded, pulling away from the curb.

I pull my belt on and buckle it. Reaching over and taking Molly's hand in mine before looking out the window. We passed a few shops before I caught sight of the police station. Taking not of the address before looking back over at Molly. This was really happening. We would actually be together. Live together. Love together..

Molly squeazed Jake's hand as he took it in his, and rested her head on his shoulder, sighing intently. Here they were, after all this time, on their way to freedom. A freedom where only each other mattered, and the baby that was to be on its way. Molly closed her eyes and smiled as she fell into a light daydream of what their life would be like. It seemed like all her dreams were coming true, all in one man.

I smile as her head rests on my shoulder. Listening to the radio that was playing in the taxi. There was a repulsive scent of cigarrete smoke and tobacco, and the station was on some strange r&b or jazz music. I ignore the annoying whining coming from the speakers and rest my eyes.

Molly had nearly fallen asleep when she felt the car come screeching to a halt, launching her forward, almost. The seatbelt held her back, constricting around her waist and chest. "Shit," she murmured as she lifted her head, unlacing her fingers from Jake's hand and seeing they were at the hotel. it was pretty nice, actually. She groaned and asked for the price of the drive, he named it, and she got the money from her wallet, handing it to her. She opened her side of the car and got out, looking around as she walked over to Jake's side of the car and waited for him to get out.

I saw the braking coming and put my arm on her collar bone area to soften the seatbelt's constriction. I get out as she does, and shut the door behind me. Walking up to the doors and holding one open for her. I checked the price on the wall for one night, and could, luckily, afford it. The intricate designs spoke of wealth and riches, but it wasn't really all that expensive. I reach into my back pocket for my wallet as I step towards the front desk.

Molly smiled as she felt his touch on her collar bone, helping to keep the seatbelt's constriction to a limit. Molly smiled agian when he opened the door for her and walked inside, looking around them. It was a nice place. Molly followed him up to the front desk as he pulled out his wallet and whispered, "I have cash, too, if you need it." Molly laced her fingers in his again, holding her back over her shoulder. She smiled at the woman behind the desk, not knowing how long Jake wanted to stay here, so she let him do the talking.

"One night" I say and pull out the exact change. She glancing up over her sharp, no-funny business glasses and a raspy voice spoke. "Smoking or non" I couldn't help thinking it was ironic that she was asking, when she obviously smoked. Stained teeth and raspy voice, suffocating breath. "Non" I say and hand her the money. She presses several keys on the keyboard before reaching into a drawer and pulling out a card. Handing it to me. "Thanks" I say quietly before turning towards the elevator. Squeezing Molly's hand lightly before wrapping my arm around her waist.

Molly tried to smile through the woman's disgusting breath which made her want to gag. She breathed out a silent breath of relief when Jake chose non-smoking. Molly stared at her while she worked on the computer, then handed Jake a card. Molly nodded her own thanks as they moved towards the elevator, and she smiled when she felt his arm around her waist. As they walked, she rested her temple on his shoulder. "What floor?" she asked as they reached the elevator.

I glance at the card's number as the doors to the elevator close. "Third" I say and press the red button. It stayed back with a light turning on. A beep sounded as the elevator rose and I look down at Molly. Kissing her forhead. She didn't look to healthy at the moment. Slightly more pale than I remembered. I tried to hide my concern. "Do you want a coffee or something? Or just sleep when we get to the room?" I ask, before continuing. "I have to go see if there is a job open at the police office... I want to turn my life around" I then realized I was probably bugging her with my talking, and stopped.

Molly nodded as they boarded the elevator and it slowly made its asscent. She smiled when she felt his soft lips on her forehead, and leaned herself against him. Molly looked up into his eyes and realized there was some concern in his eyes. When he started questioning her, she just chuckled and rubbed his arm encouragingly. "I think sleep would do me well," she said quietly, closing her eyes. Molly smiled when he said he was going to get a job at the police station. She kissed his shoulder gently. "I'm so proud of you." She whispered.

I chuckle lightly at her words, but didn't respond. She obviously needed rest, and it almost seemed like she would fall asleep right there. The doors open slowly, and I step forward slowly. Our door was just outside the elevator. Handy. I stick the key in and the light turns green, letting me turn the handle and step inside. I glance around before letting go of her waist and turning the air off. The room was plenty cold, hopefully she thought the same. I notice there was two beds, and figured I could sleep in the other bed if she didn't feel like sharing a bed yet.

Molly couldn't think that the elevator door's took longer to open, they seemed to move at the pace of glaciers. She groaned angrily. Once the door opened, she almost died of relief. Molly followed him into their room, which seemed freezing. She watched him turn off the air, and realized there were two beds. She hadn't expected that. But immediately she crawled onto the bed and got under the covers. "Are you leaving or are you gonna snuggle?" Molly asked, her eyes closed and resting on the pillow. "It's rather cold in here. Good for snuggling."

I hide my surprise better than my concern. I pause for a second, unsure of how to answer. I kick off my shoes and ease myself into the bed. Careful not to make it move very much.

Behind Molly's closed eyes, all she heard was silence, until she felt the bed move shift ever so lightly, and felt Jake's warmth beside her. She flipped over, opening one eye, and looked him over. "Yay," she muttered quietly and huggled herself up against his chest, her forehead pressed against it lightly. Her arms were wrapped by her own chest, the only barrier in between their two bodies. She gave him one last look before closing her eyes, satisfied, but her stomach was still churning.

I smile down at her as she curls herself closer to me. Resting my eyes and thinking.

[ okay ]
Molly rolled over, groaning slightly and opened her groggy eyes. She nearly jumped when she saw Jake instead of Jordan, but smiled as she recalled the events of yesterday. As if on morning cue, her stomach began to churn unstoppably and Molly swung her legs over the bed and rushed into the bathroom just in time to empty her stomach contents into it, which wasn't much. Molly moaned and sat down by the toilet before flushing it and closing her eyes, resting her head against the sink's counter which happened to be quite close to the toilet. Not very good modeling, by Molly's standards.

I hadn't noticed the change, nor the change back into human form. In the morning, I awoke to the scent of vomit and Molly's moaning. I wince only slightly and get out of the bed, stepping into the bathroom and sitting beside Molly. I rub her back lightly, having to position myself awkwardly under the sink. Sunk down further than typical but still sitting beside her. "You need anything?" I ask.

Molly grimaced and was rubbing her forehead when she noticed Jake walk into the bathroom. "Hello, love. Did I wake you?" Molly felt bad all of a sudden, but went back to feeling sorry for herself when her stomach lurched. Molly smiled weakly when she felt him rub her back, although he looked like he wasn't in the ideal position, half-way underneath the sink. Molly grimaced, "A fat-ass sleeping pill," Molly said. "So I can sleep through it all." Molly held her stomach uncomfortably and closed her eyes again.
