After about five, seven minutes, I stand up. Sore from laying there so long, and step out into the light. Blinking in the sun's rays and turning towards my den. A thought crossed my mind to go to Molly's, but I was still weak from the testing and tranquilizer. She probably didn't want me to come anyway. She was probably already forgetting about me. I run a hand through my hair and use a rock to brace myself. Feeling like I was going to puke from everything. Not to mention the beers I had had.

Molly took one bite of the eggs before she gagged and nearly threw up on the table, but managed to turn her head and throw up into her trashcan. Jordan asked her if she was all right, but she shook her head vigorously.
"I'm going outside." she said shakily and cleared out her trashcan, cleaning it and going to the front porch. She sat down and put the trashcan between her legs, her skin an unnatural pale color, as she thought about Jake. She wondered where he was and what he was doing, and if he was thinking about her, like she was thinking about him.

I grumble in my sickened state and rub my eyes. Looking around before stepping shakily down the trail again. Not only was all this and the testing weakening me, but it was but the first stage of the moon. Making it much more difficult. I trail my hand on the rock to steady myself as I pass by pine trees and they change into aspens as I go further up. The air thinning but not too much. I reach the small cave and walk inside. Laying down on the bed of moss I usually slept on and sighing heavily.

Molly jumped slightly when she felt Jordan's hand on her shoulder.
"You know he's not coming back for you," he whispered softly, taking a seat beside her, "I already told you. He doesn't love you. He never did. He was playing you, Molly. Don't let it get to your head."
"But... he said..." Molly felt herself get choked up again at the thought of him. "I... I wish I knew where he was." She whispered softly, and then felt Jordan's soft lips on her cheek.
"Stay out here as long as you want, but you look kinda funny in just a robe and undergarments." Jordan chuckled and walked back inside, but Molly didn't care. She tied the robe around her so nothing but its silk fabric was visible. Molly rested her head in her arms, which she draped over her knees that were now tucked close to her chest. She sighed heavily and hummed a song to herself, her mind unable to stray from Jake's image. His face... his voice... his eyes. They all played about in her mind, tormenting her restlessly.

I sit up, unable to sleep, and walk to the town where I went for the day. Stopping by starbucks, but getting a coffee to go and not a cresant. I walk down the street, peeking in windows of shops and such. A shine caught my eye, and I look in the window. A beautiful diamond necklace shimmering perfectly back at me. Silver with small diamonds placed evenly beside a centered diamond moon. I step inside the store, ignoring the woman as she asked if I needed help. I lift the necklace up, admiring the stones. I checked the price tag, and sigh. I had just twenty dollars less than what was needed. I set the necklace back down, and look over the other jewelry.

Molly eventually got up, her stomach churning less, and went into the house. She made herself some coffee, not at all feeling like going out today. She added some extra cream, like always, and put the warm mug to her lips, taking a sip before seating herself by the window, looking outside at the world while Jordan was upstairs running around. She could hear his footsteps hurriedly pacing from one room to the next, getting ready for work. It was a Tuesday, after all. A short ten mintues later, Jordan came down the stairs.
"Since the car is jammed, I'll have to walk. I'll be late, but that's all right. I got to fix my girl breakfast, even though she didn't eat it." Jordan grimaced a moment, saw the coffee, then kissed her head and fled the house. Molly watched him turn left, away from the starbucks and other city outings, and scooted closer to the window so she could rest her elbow on its sill, staring out a the neighbor across the street who was noisily mowing his lawn.

I lift up a pair of black earings. Studs, but shaped as stars. I sigh as they were too childish, and move onto a ring. Grey pearl and a diamond. Wrapped in gold. I check the pricetag, and a small smile lifted my lips. I toss it in my hand and step to the woman in the check out. "I think she'll love it" She said, like she was supposed to. I shrug and pull out a fifty, along with several tens, twenties, and a few ones. She rolled her eyes at the change and counted it. Handing me the ring when she finished. I take the ring and place it in my pocket. Pulling out a piece of a pocket notebook paper and a pen.
I'm sorry I was such a jerk. I probably don't deserve your forgiveness, and I shouldn't give you this. It will most likely only make Jordan mad. I want you to know that I love you, but I can't see me giving you want you deserve. I hope you like it, it isn't much, but it's something.
---Jake
I then step towards her house, remembering the address clear as day.

Re: Such Unspoken Mystery Is Like Playing With Fire [ Thunderstruck ]
Molly sipped at her coffee and had nearly dozed off when she caught a glimpse of the tall figure she thought she knew. Not knowing for certain it was him, Molly slipped into the kitchen to do the dishes, pretending not to notice she'd seen him. He'd been making his way up her driveway, so it must be, mustn't it? Unable to contain herself, Molly stepped out of the kitchen and opened the door, staring out at the green-eyed man.
"Jake? I thought..." Molly shook her head momentarily, suddenly confused at why he had come back. Maybe he was coming to take her away from Jordan and their abusive relationship? Then Molly absentmindedly put a hand on her stomach. She couldn't leave Jordan now. Not with a baby on its way. Molly sighed and looked back up into Jake's eyes, and her knees almost buckled underneath her.

I look down at her beautiful eyes, noticing her hold her stomach. I cringe slightly, knowing what it was. I pull the ring and note from my pocket, handing it to her. Before I released it into her hand, I lifted my left hand and brushed some of her silky black hair from her face. I held the urge to kiss her, and turn around, not wanting to leave. I pause, "I love you, Molly" My deep voice seemed to whisper the words.

Molly knew when he saw him cringe, that he knew she was pregnant. The idea killed Molly. She gently took the paper and ring, looking down at it with glistening eyes. Molly stared at him longingly as he brushed a strand of hair out of her face. Molly's eyes dropped to his mouth, but only for a split second, because he turned away. Molly felt herself already choked up, and those three words she'd been dying to hear from him had finally been said, and it played at her heartstrings. "If you love me," Molly croaked, "Then take me away from here. I don't want Jordan. I want you. I love you, too..." Molly said, slipping the new ring around her ring finger on her opposite hand, reading the note quickly, her eyes glancing up and staring at the back of his head.

I felt shaky as I listen to her gorgeous voice ring in my ears. "You know I can't do that. I would if I was.... well.. normal" I sigh and turn to face her again "But I'm not" My green eyes met her beautiful mahogany ones. Making me falter once more and close my eyes. Lowering my head. I wondered where Jordan was, then figured he was at work. Humans typically worked today at these hours.

Molly was fighting back tears, now. She was on the verge of losing him. And this time, it may be forever. "No, I don't know!" she said, turning to look at him with desperate eyes. "I don't give a damn if you couldn't provide me with a penny, Jake! All I care about is that you love me, and I you. Does it matter if you're 'normal' or not? Or are you just going to reject me again?" Molly felt a single tear trickle down her cheek as she stared at him, mouth closed, in a bit of disbelief.

I shake my head and run my hands through my hair. "No, I am never going to reject you. I never did and never will. Molly, I want you, I love you, I need you. But please, do you really want to come live with me? My half wolf me, and my pathetic life of murder?" I shake my head. Desperately wanting her to know everything and chose from that. She shouldn't have to live a life like that, even if I loved her. I don't think I would ever love again. I move my hand slightly but clench it into a fist. Wanting to kiss her but knowing I shouldn't.

Re: Such Unspoken Mystery Is Like Playing With Fire [ Thunderstruck ]
Molly dropped her gaze, her hair falling into her face and hiding the fact she was struggling to hold back tears. Honestly, she wanted no life like the one he was describing for her, but she loved him, and she didn't care who or what he was, nor did she care what she did. She'd learned that he was nearly a different person in his wolf form, not the person she loved, and she knew she could accept that, but it seemed his course was determined. Molly's already-broken heart felt like it was shattering all over again, and she lifted her eyes to look in his dashing green ones, and asked, "Then will you do me a favor before you go?" Her voice was almost inaudible.

I had almost wanted her to answer differently. But I knew this was for the best. "Anything" Was all I said, ignoring the looks of the people around us. I wanted her love, I wanted Jordan to fuck off, and I wanted her to come with me. She deserved better than him, but she needed the life he offered. I remembered the terrible months without her, and how I barely grazed by. But I forced those memories back. Hoping that would all change after we left this settled. Or at least a little more settled than it was before.

Molly wasn't happy that he was leaving, but begging had never been one of her strong suits, and when he said 'anything,' Molly nearly died of relief. She knew she shouldn't, knowing that people were around them, giving them weird stares and such, but Molly didn't care anymore. "Kiss me," she murmured, but before she gave him time to reply, she wrapped her arms around his neck and pressed her lips gently against his. It was amazing to her how a kiss could feel this right. It was completely different than any of the lustful kisses Jordan had given her, and she nearly lost herself in it, wrapping her arms tighter against his neck and letting her eyes flutter close.

Her words brought me to reach for her waist. Before I kissed her, she kissed me. Her arms around my neck and lips pressed gently against mine. I close my eyes, wondering how amazing one touch could be. I hug the small of her back and kiss her softly.

Molly couldn't help but notice how good it felt to have his arms around her, and she wondered if he was thinking the same. She pulled out of the kiss a few moments later, though, and stared him in the eyes, her mouth still only inches from his. Then the whole ideal of him leaving her forever came back to mind, and she hugged him closer, resting her head on his chest.
"Please don't leave me," she whispered, on the verge of tears, and it showed obviously in her voice.

I had forgotten about the entire situation untill she rested her head on my shoulder and begged me not to leave. I breath heavily and pull her closer to me gently. Unsure of how to answer. I shake my head slightly, glaring at the people staring. I then close my eyes, focusing on her touch and her hot breath on my shoulder. I thought momentarily of how I might be able to get a job, live a slightly normal life with her. I could raise enough money to buy a house of her dreams if I got into the right genre of work. Or I could just get into law enforcement... buy a little cozy house. I kiss her neck tenderly "I will try my hardest to give you everything if you chose to come with me" I whisper.

Molly accepted his warm embrace as she pulled her closer. Molly wondered why he was being quiet for so long, but suddenly she felt his lips on her neck, and she glanced up, yet she kept her head resting on his chest. When she heard Jake's response, her head shot up and she looked at him, amazed. That was the last thing she'd expected to hear from him. "I don't need everything, Jake," she murmured. "I just need you." Molly was pleased by his answer, and she couldn't help but kiss him (shortly) again, and say, "So you'll take me with you?" Her eyes glimmered with hope.

"If you want" I say, her kiss increasing my hope. I could live a normal life during the day. I could. And I could sleep at night... Well, locked up of course, but I could sleep at night. Without murdering. And locking murderers in jail. Not only that, but I would have Molly with me, and we could raise Jordan's child like it was ours. Get him in a nice school, and live a family life. I couldn't help a small smile at the thought.

Molly let a smile spread across her lips as thoughts shot through her head. Maybe they would live a normal life. She could get a job as a teacher -- something she'd always wanted to do; she loved kids -- and he could... Well, do whatever he wanted. As long as they were together, she would be happy. "Then I'm coming with you." Molly said, patting his chest gently and looking at the neighbors staring. "I just need to get my cash and one or two more outfits first. Can't wear this all the time." She smiled sheepishly at the robe she was wearing. "Be right back." she said, ushering him into the house and closing the door behind them, rushing silently up the stairs.

I step inside with her ushering and lean on the door, watching as she bounds up the stairs. A bright handsome smile pulling at my lips. She actually loved me, and was actually going to come with me. I glance out the side window onto the street, where the neighbors and passer-bys were already whispering and walking briskly away. I chuckle, not really caring about anything right now, and in the best mood I think I would ever be in. I wondered if she would have a beautiful little girl, or a handsome boy.

Molly walked upstairs and packed up two pairs of jeans, and three shirts with her favorite leather jacket. Molly put them all into a small bag, although it was more like a purse than a suitcase. She grabbed her wallet and slipped off Jordan's wedding ring, placing it on the pillow of the unmade bed. Molly sighed and slipped on some black skinny jeans and a form-fitting grey t-shirt, putting on her knee-high black boots. She put some extra undergarments in her bag, too, before heading back downstairs and stopping on the last stair to stare at Jake for a moment. Was this really happening? He loved her. He really, really loved her! And now here they were. She jumped the last step and said, "We should get out of here before Jordan comes back." She said, opening the door.

I nod and open the door, letting her step out before I did. I shut the door behind me and pull her into a short kiss. "You're sure?" I say, just to be sure she didn't have any regret later on. First thing was first, get a job and a hotel room temporarily.
