Molly's eyes looked hurt as she watched him leave. She didn't want him to go. She didn't know if she was going to be okay. "I can't put you in danger, Jake. Jordan will hurt you if he knows you're here." Molly said, her mind replaying the words that had been on the sheet of paper only moments ago, although she left out the gruesom[sp?] details Jordan had cared to add in. "I don't want you to get hurt." She murmured and looked at her feet, her mind screaming at her to just shut the door and turn away, but something kept her frozen in place.

Jake

I ignore her words as I step down the sidewalk. She doesn't want me to get hurt? If I died, what would change in the world? For the worse, I mean? And anyway, how could he hurt me? I shut the thoughts out and clench my jaw tightly. Rounding the corner before disappearing in the shadows of the coming darkness.

Molly sighed and lifted her head to watch him walk away, although it pained her to see him leave in such a manner. She could tell he had his jaw clenched, and usuaslly people didn't do that if they were feeling okay. Molly closed her door quietly and decided to wait for Jordan's inevitable arrival.
~30 Minutes Later~
There was a knock on the door and Molly took her time opening it. When she looked out, she saw Jordan, holding a beautiful boquet of red roses, an apology card in one hand that was unmistakable.
"I don't know why i didn't listen to you," Jordan mumbled, placing the two things down and embracing her, slipping the engagement ring back on her finger afterwards.
"Jordan, I-I can't marry you anymore," Molly admitted, knowing it would be impossible after finding Jake again. He was all that had been on her mind since he'd left.
"Why? Because that other man threatened he'd rape you if you married me?" Jordan snarled.
"No...becuase it just won't work," Molly kept her voice low, hoping she wouldn't anger Jordan too much.

Jake

I had made my way back to the other city in thirty minutes. The short walk made shorter in my frustrated paces. When I reached the city, I had turned once more. Knowing I couldn't help Molly now, I decided to try to clear my mind of her and her soon to be husband. He most likely was there again, begging to have her back again. And she loved him. Most likely she would marry him. I grab a supplies box and throw it through the window of a 24 hour store. Leaping inside and shoving the shelves hard. Causing a domino effect. The last one fell revealing the teenage, wimpy man who was working these late hours. Terrible to work here at night. I snarl and grab a box of cereal, chucking it at the boy. He ducked beneath the counter, peaking up after the lucky charms exploded against the wall behind him.

"But you do love me, right? We were going to have the perfect son... name him Samuel. Remember all our big plans, Molly?" Jordan looked at her, a false sense of hurt in his eyes, yet Molly couldn't detect its falseness.
She hugged him gently, but didn't change her mind, tears welling in her eyes. She took the ring off of her finger and handed it back to him, shaking her head. "I do love you, Jordan. But it won't work. You can't threaten other people I love!" she said angrily, then clamped a hand over her mouth, staring into Jordan's eyes as she watched them fill with hatred.
"So it is him, isn't it?" Jordan knew her weakness now, and continued coolly, "Then marry me, and I'll leave him alone. Not a drop of blood will fall from him."
Molly stared at him, mouth gaping. "I-I'll go text him..." Molly said, taking the ring back and slipping it on her finger, a tear falling onto the large, shiny diamond, as she grabbed her phone and texted to Jake:
I'm sorry, I'm marrying Jordan. It's only to keep you safe, know that. Ever since I met you, there was this strange connection I can't put my finger on to this day. I can't see you again, I'm sorry. But I really, really like you.
She ended the text, sending it, hoping he would catch her drift. With that, she threw the phone as hard as she could against the wall so it broke, making sure Jordan wouldn't be able to read the text she'd sent.
"Come in," she said solomnly, and Jordan made himself at home.

Jake

I heard the phone vibrate on the table. Mine that I had left there when I changed. My eyes flashed green as I turned to look at it. The man trembling in fear. I open it awkwardly and read the text. Pausing after I had finished in disbelief. Although I knew this would happen. I grab the phone and through it at the wall. Causing it to break and land on the ground beyond repair. My eyes now back to their amber state. I grab a chair and throw it at the man. Stepping towards him and grabbing his shirt. I lift him over the counter and to the ground. Stepping on his chest and snarling loudly. A small thrum sound reached my ears and I lift my head to see police in vests and the curious public. I try to run towards them, but the dart was such a high dosage that I was already suffering the effects. My muscles contracted painfully and I fell to the ground. Lacing my ears back and reaching over. I kill the boy in half-conciousness. After the blood reached my tongue, everything went black.

[ got it ]

Molly had no idea what was going on, although she could faintly hear the sounds of sirens. She couldn't do anything, because Jordan had forced himself upon her, their mouths intertwined almost unlockable. Molly felt disgusted into the very pit of her stomach, and the moment she felt Jordan's hand over her chest, she pulled back and gagged.
"I can't do this," she murmured, tears welling in her eyes.
"Yes, you can," Jordan said casually, "And you will." Jordan nodded to the upstairs bedroom, and Molly knew very well what he wanted. Instead, she shook her head, and stalled,
"After dinner, maybe?" Molly hurried herself into the kitchen and turned on the news, which was blurred by so many flashing red, blue and white lights with sounds of sirens, news hellicopters circling a small shop not too far from her house. The words were muffled by all the commotion, and they didn't have lines at the bottom telling her what they were saying, so she had no idea that it was Jake, as she began to make dinner.

Jake

For the longest of times I hadn't awoke. By the time I did, I knew I had blew it. In the anger and blinding jealousy, I had attacked a public store and someone had run for help in the stalled moments. The darkness was easily filtered in my stil amber eyes, and the wolven form told me it was still night. The room was made of titanium, darkened and had a sort of scent blocking system. I couldn't tell where I was, who was with me, or what they were doing. There was a loud, high pitched sound being played, interfering with my sense of hearing. And the only thing I could do was make out shadows with my eyes. Something moved from the corner and I jump. Heavy chains used for anchors on ships kept me from moving at all and I snarl loudly. "What do you want?" The creature was not surprised at my voice, and it's white lab coat stood out like a beacon. It was a man, scientist most likely, in the government. He lifted my chops, looking at my teeth fearlessly. I lift my mouth to bite him, but I fail for there was a muzzle over it. The front constricted in a way to allow him to observe me without being in danger.

After dinner, Molly turned on the news again and began to clean the dishes, stalling their after-dinner activities as long as she possibly could hold out. She stared at Jordan, who was eyeing her hungrily from the corner of the room, until she saw the report on the news. The voice was staticy, but clear enough for her to hear:
"And it turns out, folks, werewolves really aren't myths. One was caught after killing a boy in a nearby shop, when Betsy Walker was able to get to the authorities. No need to worry, folks, for it's being contained and tested as we speak."
Molly knew immediately who it was and rushed over to the television screen as they showed pictures of the attack. Why had Jake done that? He should know better! Suddenly, Molly felt an arm around her waist and felt herself be hauled over Jordan's shoulder, and she yelled at him, kicking and pounding her fists on his back while he dragged her laborously upstairs.

Jake

I growl low in my throat and toss my head. Sending him back onto his butt. The authorities rushed in, guns raised to my head and throat. I pull back against the chains. The scientists quickly stands and ushers them out "It is ok, leave me and this creature be" He says and fearlessly grabs a gun. Pushing the barrel of the Galil down to the ground. The men nod, unsure of what they should do, before leaving the room. I let my eyes flash to their green color and watch the man "Let me go, I do not deserve to be held captive in this room" I say, deep, human voice speaking from my mind and not from my mouth.

Molly grunted as she hit the bed, and kicked Jordan in the crotch when he tried to make advances on her. He groaned and pulled back, shooting her a deadly glare. Molly used this time to flip off the bed and rush down the stairs, making it to and out the door before she heard Jordan's footsteps on the stairs.
"Get back here, or next time I see him I'll kill that man of yours, video tape it, and force you to watch the whole thing!" Jordan's voice called after her. Molly stopped momentarily.
"Please don't make me do this," Molly said, feeling Jordan's firm hand on her shoulder, and she turned to him. "You don't really love me, Jordan. You're all lust. I have a better chance with Jake than I do with you." Molly said. "Please let me go."
"No," Jordan said firmly, sighing and dropping his hand. "You're going to be my wife, but I'll.... I'll let you go chase after him for a while. When you come back, I expect you to be ready and willing for me."
Molly beamed and kissed Jordan happily before running to the site of the attack to see if she could find where Jake had gone.

Jake

The scientist pushed a needle into my shoulder, pulling blood from my artery and pulling the sryringe out. I watch him as he leaves the room. I felt a pop in my spine and ignored the pain. Changing to a human slipping out of the chains. Jogging to the door and testing the lock. "Shit" I murmur before moving to turn on the light. It flickered, and I squint slightly to see the room while my eyes adjusted. It was secured completely, except for a vent in the top left corner of the room. I glance around and grab a chain, pulling with all I had. It moved barely and I pull some more. Slowly placing it in a pile under the vent.

Molly was confronted by a policeman when she got to the site and easily pursuaded him with her "feminine charms" to take her to the testing site. Molly waited impatiently in the car as he sped towards it, and she pushed the button to turn on the sirens, then looked away innocenctly as the policeman sped forward until they reached a large white building. Molly grimaced as they stopped and she sighed as she was greated by more policemen, who were much tougher to get past.
"I need to see him... He's my... brother." Molly said, staring at the policeman, who still didn't seem convinced. "Please, if I could just talk to him..." she said, but the policeman didn't budge. The first officer wasn't helping her anymore, either.

Jake

I press my lips together as I pull the last chain into place. Breathing heavily and pausing to catch my breath. The door's handle moved, and I stand up quickly. Pulling the metal off the vent and heaving myself into it. The scientist yelled for the authorities as I crawl as fast as I could towards the main room. Pausing when I heard Molly's voice.

Molly's heart jumped as she heard the scientist's voice call for authorities, and she watched the policemen rush towards one area. Molly slipped behind a post and she watched them rush off. She followed them quietly until she heard a peculiar noise from the ceiling, and look up. She glanced up, but didn't give it much energy, and instead turned and followed the policemen into the open room, realizing it was empty, a vent opened. Molly smiled and nearly squealed with delight. He had escaped! Molly rushed to the entrance of the building again, hoping that he would be coming out anytime now.

I grunt as I squeeze through a small opening and lower myself to the ground. I was in the main room, they would be looking for me soon. I quickly open the doors and head towards the forest. Stopping after noticing who was standing there. "You are married, are you not?"

Molly rushed over to him and hugged him tightly. "I was so worried about you! I came to see if I could get you out, but... it looks like you did that yourself." She smiled sheepishly, then backed up at the tone in his voice. "I'm not married. I'm engaged." Molly searched his eyes but found no betraying emotion. "I'm only getting married to Jordan because he said if I didn't he would hurt you." Molly couldn't see why he couldn't understand. Why was he being so distant...? So cold...? Molly stepped back again and looked at the ground. "I wasn't about to let you get hurt because of my feelings for you." Molly suddenly realized what she'd said and clamped a hand over her mouth and shook her head. "I'm sorry... I ..." she dropped her gaze, her face flushing pink.

Jake

I shook my head at her words and pull away from the hug "What makes you think he would hurt me? And he is going to hurt you. You and I both know that" I say before stepping closer to the forest. "You shouldn't have feelings for me, just as I know I shouldn't for you. I am not right for you." I shake my head slightly and look away as she looks away. Silence burning in the air around us. Suddenly, the slamming of a door caught my attention. " Say that I was trying to trick you into following me, say you don't really remember anything but when I first confronted you and tried to take you" I say to her before turning away and running into the forest. The police split up, most following me and some stopping to interrogate her.

Molly felt her heart cringe when he technically admitted he had feelings for her. Molly shook her head and turned away. He was gone, probably never to come back again. A tear trickled down her cheek but she quickly wiped it away and turned to the police officers. She repeated the story that Jake had created for her, yet left out the part that Jake had created it, and they asked her a few more questions before nodding and letting her go home. She walked home in silence, staring at her feet, and dreaded the confrontation she was about to get by Jordan.
When she walked into the door, he was already waiting, his shirt off and slung over his shoulder, as she wrapped his arms around her waist and carried her like a newborn upstairs and put her on the bed, where the romance commensed.

Jake

I lost them around a bend in the trail. Taking the cave route through the mountain and stopping in a den-like cavity. I throw my fist into the wall and ignore the pain. My knuckles bleeding slightly. I lower myself to the ground and put my face in my hands. She loved me, and I was so cold to her. I shake my head and grit my teeth. Almost feeling like crying as I knew she would never forgive me for the way I had acted to her.

As soon as Jordan removed herself from inside of her, Molly turned onto her side and curled into a fetal position, facing Jordan, who wrapped his arms around her. He could tell something was wrong.
"He loves me, Jordan. But...but he won't do anything about it." She curled into his embrace, the feeling of their warm skin together almost heavenly, although she wished it was Jake.
"He's not worth your tears, Molly," Jordan said comfortingly, then added stiffly, "You're mine now."
Molly rested a hand on her stomach, wondering if Jordan's dreams of having the perfect baby boy would come true. Molly was against premarital sex, but it had happened, and there was no turning back now. Jordan could feel her uneasiness, and pulled her closer. "He doesn't love you." He muttered. "He never did."
Molly nodded as tears trailed down her cheeks; her heart felt like it had shattered into a million, tiny, irriplacable pieces. Instead of worrying about it further, Molly pulled herself closer to Jordan, and fell asleep, wrapped in his warm embrace.

Jake

Thoughts of them together plagued my mind as the sun rose. Feeling its warmth in the humid cave but not leaving. I ease into a laying position and close my eyes. Letting out a shaky breath. She had probably realized that he was better for her, but I wished it wasn't true. I wished I could give her that size stone, a beautiful house, a normal family life. But I knew that was impossible, and it tore me apart inside.

Molly awoke the next morning to stomach pains and the feeling that she was going to throw up. Molly groaned and rolled out of bed, grabbing her undergarments and throwing on a robe. Molly grabbed a trashcan just in case, and made her way downstairs where she found Jordan making breakfast. She smiled gently, but wished she was seeing Jake instead of Jordan. She frowned suddenly and turned, feeling her stomach, which was already only slightly rounded, and she sighed. Molly sighed and looked at her broken phone, realizing it was still able to text, but she figured Jake didn't want to hear from her.
The thought only hurt her more. She walked to the window and looked outside, somehow wishing Jake would come to his senses and come back for her. She didn't care if it was right or not. She just wanted to be loved be him, and to give him her love.

Jake

A sigh escaped my lips after the lack of sleep and I sit up, glancing around the chamber and into the tunnel. They hadn't found him, I doubt they ever would. A yell came from outside, saying they should head back for lunch. I could go back to my real den once they left. However I would have to wait a few minutes for them to get out of ear shot. Resting my head against the cool rock.

Molly wished she could text Jake. He said he'd always respond. But where was he now? Off falling for some other woman? Molly clenched her teeth and pressed her forehead longingly against the window, praying that he would come to his senses and just com for her! A tear fell down Molly's cheek as she turned to go eat breakfast with Jordan, who was beaming with delight.
"How are you feeling?" he asked.
"Awful," Molly said, nodding to the trashcan she was holding beside her in case she was to throw up.
"I'm sorry honey," he said kissing her forehead and placing a plate of eggs before her with some orange juice. "Try to eat something, will you?"
