Jake

I step away from her, searching he eyes for a sign of truth in her words. Though I couldn't think straight in all the confusion. My eyes swirled an amber/green mixture now. For the first time. I had never felt this way before. I shake my head softly "Is it true?" I asked her. My voice sounding distant, and my ancient english accent was there. Similar to my voice when I was in my other form.

Molly withdrew her hand as it fell by her side and she stared at him, the color in his eyes rather odd. "Is what true, Jake?" Molly asked quietly, staring at him desperately. "What did he tell you!?"
Jordan wasn't liking where this conversation was going. He stepped closer and butted in, "Of course it's true! Why do you have any doubt?"
Molly grimaced, "Tell me what you said, Jordan!" she shrieked, shoving him backwards.

Jake

I clench my jaw at Jordan and move Molly gently, throwing my fist into Jordan's jaw. It didn't break anything, but I was positive it hurt. "Butt out" I snarl the words, breathing labored, not out of exhaustion, more out of nerves. "Did you say you'd go with him?" I ask Molly. Hoping the answer was no.

Molly squeaked gently when she saw Jake punch Jordan, but she didn't stop him from doing anything. Molly stared at Jake with longing eyes, "I did. But I'm only going with him because he promised he'd leave you alone if I went home with him... I don't want to. I love you!" Molly said.
Jordan felt his jaw tenderly and grimaced. "Bastard." he muttered.

Jake

I look over at Molly. Dipping my brows slightly. I didn't speak, not even when Jordan cursed at me. Blocking out his voice and only listening to my own breathing. I lean back against the wall, trying to calm down. I didn't know why this had made me so angry. I loved Molly. And I knew that she loved me too. Didn't I? I did. So this shouldn't be bothering me. But she said she'd go with him. She would leave me. I run my hands through my hair and shake my head softly. Still trying to understand.

Molly sighed, taking his silence the wrong way. She looked at him for a moment before turning away. "I'll say it again, Jake. I don't want to go. If you ever want to talk..." she paused, holding back tears, "You know my number." Molly walked over to Jordan, who cuffed her roughly behind the neck and began leading her towards the elevator.
"Let's go home, darling," he crooned. "Away from that beast."
"He's not a beast!" Molly countered angrily. "You're the only beast around here for miles." She said angrily, only to feel his hand come down roughly on her cheek as they entered the elevator.

Jake

I grit my teeth at his aggression to her and take his shoulder roughly in my hand. Whirling him around to face me. "Listen up you piece of shit" I growl the words. My eyes amber when I met his, not caring to show any humanity around him. "If you so much as cause her the slightest of physical pain. Leaving out the mental part, because you hurt her all the time that way. If you hurt her physically, I will, I swear on my own fucked up life, kill you" I said. Not caring to hold back the cussing, because he deserved it.

Jordan jerked his shoulder out of Jake's grasp. "She's my bitch," Jordan said, so only Jake could hear, "So I'll do whatever I want with her."
Molly flinched at Jake's harsh words. While the two were bickering, she took this time to slip behind Jake, hoping Jordan wouldn't notice and get into the elevator without her, but she knew that was highly unlikely. Molly was shaking slightly, fearful that this may turn into an all-out brawl. "Don't let him take me away," Molly whimpered, but she knew the predicament she was in was inevitable.

Jake

My eyes narrow at his words, and shove his chest hard with my hands. Barely hearing Molly behind me. "She is not yours. She is no one's! She isn't property. And sure as Hell not a bitch" I say. Loud enough so Molly could hear what he called her.

Jordan grimaced and pulled a gun from his back pocket, cocking it and pointing it at Jake's forehead. "As far as I'm concerned she is mine."
Molly glared at Jordan when she heard what Jake had said, easily catching on to the fact that Jordan had called her a bitch. Anger boiling up inside her, Molly stepped out from behind Jake and kicked Jordan in the crotch, and a pained look crossed his face, as he nearly dropped the gun, but managed to recompose himself and grab Molly's arm, pulling her tightly against his chest, pointing the gun to her head, instead.
"Now let us go, superman," Jordan spat. "And she won't get hurt. Do we have an agreement?"

Jake

"Do it!" I say harshly. A smirk lifting onto my lips. "You don't have the guts" Just then, Molly kneed him harshly in the crotch. I nearly chuckled, but then he held the gun to her head. I shake my head "Let her go" I say. Then his next words hurt. They hit hard. "Fine. Take her. But don't think you'll never see me again" I say. I knew I would see him again. And it would most likely be sooner than he thought.

Jordan nodded, satisfied. "I have more protection than you think," he told Jake, grimacing before escorting Molly into the elevator, who was currently scared shitless. He still had the cocked gun to her back as they entered the elevator. Molly kept her eyes on the floor as th doors closed and her sight of Jake was lost.
~Different Hotel~
It had taken a while to get there, and Molly still had tears staining her cheeks. Jordan had confiscated her phone, and he hadn't let her out of her sight. There had been several minutes of passionate (from his end) kissing, and Molly's lips were swollen and her eyes rather puffy and red from a new wave of tears that had overcome her. Jordan had promised her if she ever ran off with Jake like that again, he'd kill him himself. Molly didn't doubt his words. Instead, she just stared at him and let him do what he wanted with her, knowing if she struggled it would only bring more pain.
Eventually, he let her go, replacing the wedding ring back on her finger, and allowed her some rest. She crawled into bed, but couldn't sleep. Her mind was still on Jake.

Jake

I close my eyes and lower my head in defeat when the elevator closes. Punching the wall out of sheer anger for my failure. I tried her phone. But it was off. I throw my elbow into the glass of the window. The one they had at the end of the hall. Grabbing the sill, I climb out of it. Using the windows to pull myself onto the roof of the building. Once there, I get up on one of the vents and lay back. Staring up into the sky absently. Thoughts of Molly burning my heart.

[ okay. cool ]

Molly grimaced as she sat in the hospital bed, the bluish gown oddly softer than she'd expected. Jordan stood by her side, holding her hand. Molly couldn't help but think of Jake at this time, although she'd given up hope on him. They'd moved to Colorado, and she had to admit, it was a lovely place, even though it was rather chill at times. There was a lovely view of the mountains from her house. She cringed as she began to go into labor.

[ Lolz ]

Jake

I write the final bit of the report and hand the folder to my assistant. "Can you put this in for me? I have somewhere I have to be" I say, and he nods. Not even questioning me. I nod a thanks and pick up my keys. I had got a license in the time between Molly and I. And bought myself a silver corvette. Pushing open the door of my office, I unlock the doors with a click and get inside. Promptly belting in and adjusting my mirrors. When I pushed the key into the ignition and turned it, my engine roared into life. Vibrating my seat only slightly. I open my wallet and pull out my ID card. Yes, I did join the military, and yes I finished college quickly. I place the card on the dashboard and back out of the parking space. Driving through the gate, where I was greeted and allowed through, and pull into my house. Unlocking it's door and stepping inside the air-conditioned home. I was also in Colorado, and like I told Jordan, I was going to come back. Today happened to be the day I wanted to come back. Molly should be giving birth some time today...

[ skipping over birth scene.... ]

It had taken nearly 5 hours, which was pretty short for her, considering it had taken her mother 8 hours to give birth to Molly. The thought brought a smile to her face as Jordan handed her a hankerchief[sp?] to wipe the sweat off of her face, as the child was handed to her in a little pink blanket. Over the years, Molly had completely forgotten about the nightmare, and the sight of the little girl was overwhelming. A bit of disappointment showed clearly on Jordan's face, but he seemed happy enough. They ended up naming the child Claire, which pleased Molly. She'd always liked the name. Molly rested back into the pillow of her bed as she rocked Claire, the crying child, to sleep, trying to keep herself awake. Her lower body ached miserably.

Jake

Claws slipped over the tile and attempted to catch traction. Looking down, I smile down at Derek. The huge iguana was a rescue, and he was old. Therefore one of the largest iguanas. I reach down and grab his sides gently, lifting him up to his tree and giving him some fruit to munch on. He was pleased, and I misted him with a water bottle for a few squirts. I look over at the time. "I'll be back bud" I say and pull on my uniform acu jacket. Taking a heavy, centuring breath, I step outside and get into my corvette. Starting it, and driving off post to the hospital I figured Molly would prefer to go.

Molly couldn't keep a broad smile off of her face. Whenever she looked into the child's eyes, all she saw was herself. It was like looking into a mirror. Claire would definately be her pride-and-joy. Molly sighed as they took Claire from her to do various tests, such as weigh her and check to see if everything was in good health. Molly reclined into the fluffy pillows while she watched them weigh Claire, who wasn't exactly cooperating. Seeing the squirming baby made her chuckle lovingly. She was a mother! The idea brought her so much joy. She only wished Jake was here to share it, instead of Jordan.

Jake

I parked in the lot, and locked the doors. Placing the keys in my acu's pocket and practically jumped up the stairs. I walk inside the freezing cold building and straight to the woman at the front desk. "May I see Molly?" She looked over the computer at me. Her dark brown eyes seemed to search mine. "No weapons in the building." I nearly rolled my eyes, before unclipping my gun from it's case and setting it on the counter. "Now may I?" She nods "Friend?" I nod my head and follow her down the hall. She showed me a room, and I stood hidden in the hallway. Smiling at the child that looked so much like Molly. I didn't go inside just yet, I'd have to wait until Jordan left. And I hoped that would be soon. He probably wouldn't recognize me. I mean, who would suspect I'd be in the army, and I had an army hair cut as well.

Molly smiled after a minute, as Claire was returned to her arms. She cradled the baby and whispered softly to her, telling her all about their home at the base of the mountains, only a few miles off if they drove.
"Where is the restroom?" Jordan asked suddenly, kissing Molly's forehead after being pointed in the direction of the restrooms and left in that direction. Molly sighed as she watched Jordan leave; he looked like he was sick. Maybe it was the Mc.Donald's omelet?
Molly rolled her eyes and silently closed them, afterwards, resting, Claire falling asleep in her mother's embrace.

Jake

I bite my lip lightly and act as though I was walking down the hall when Jordan came out. He was oblivious. I then knock softly on the door. Careful not to be loud for the baby who was drifting lightly in and out of sleep. Molly's sweet voice reached my ears as a nurse opened the door. I look over her shoulder. "Molly...." I said, it wasn't a question, just felt right to say her name. I knew she would recognize me, uniform or not. My eyes were the same electric green as they were before.

Molly flickered one eye open, thinking it was Jordan back from the bathroom (already). When her eyes met with vaguely familiar bright green eyes, her mouth dropped open and she propped herself up on the bed, making sure not to wake Claire. "Jake?" she whispered hoarsely. "Jake... how did you... how did you find me? There must be dozens of hospitals... And that you'd end up in Colorado! Of all places!" Molly was overwhelmed with joy and a refreshment undescribable, yet she kept her voice quiet and contained, despite how she felt.
