I smile.
"Then let's head a little ways down the beach," I say. I walk over to the pier, picking up my board, waiting for her.

I nod, following him. "Your the master." I chuckled.

I chuckled softly, walking along the beach to find a good beginner spot. When I finally did, I waded into the water, motioning to her.

I wipe the hair out of my face and follow him in, smiling. God it was hard to keep your eyes off of his body. I wanted to reach out and touch him, but I kept myself tight and just smiled, waiting for his instructions.

~ John ~

The waves were slow and easy, and I stopped when we were far enough in, truning to her.
"You put the band around your ankle in case you fall; It will pull you back up if you can't get upa dn keep you from losing the board," I say.
"And you spread out your arms and bend your knees slightly, try to stay still as much as possible and keep your balance. Everyone falls a few times usually before they get the hang of it," I say, looking at her.

I nod. "Sounds good..."

I laugh lightly.
"It's easier than it looks. Now, do you want to try now, or blow the whole thing off?" I say with a grin.

I laugh softly. "You know, I'd rather blow the whole thing off."

I laugh.
"Where's the fun in that?" I tease lightly.

I roll my eyes, giving him a gentle shove. "You just want to see me fall!" I laughed.

~ John~

I laugh again.
"That's the most interesting part," I say, semi-serious, then crack up again.

I grab the board. "Alright. I'll try. Only for you." I grin and fiddle with the strap.

~ John~

I chuckle.
"Have fun, got the pretty good idea of it?" I ask, teasing her.
"Or do I need to explain it again, only slower?"

I roll my eyes. "I think I've got it." I wipe my curly brown hair from my face and set out deeper into the water, slightly uneasy.

~ John~

I smile and follow her slowly, watching her almost anxiously.

I got ready as a wave came towards me. It washed me foward and I stood, wobbling slightly. I caught my balance and grinned.
I was doing it!
But just when I thought I had it all, I leaned too far foward and tumbled head first into the watear.

~ John~

I smile small as she starts to surf, then dive towards her as she fell. I catch her once she was underwater and pull her back up.
"You okay?" I ask, concerned. Everyone fell, but it was always a little scarier the first time.

I sputtered slighlty and wiped the hair out of my face. I grinned sheepishly. "Haha, yeah."
I stared at him, my lips in a small smile.

~ John~

I smile small, extending a hand to help her up.

I take his hand and straighten myself up. "Well...there you have it." I giggled slightly.

I smirk.
"Not gonna try and do that again? Only with less falling," I tease gently.

I roll my eyes again. I realized my hand was still in his. I wanted to keep it there...but it felt...awkward. So I unlatched and then stared up at him. "So er...you want me to do it again...then?"

~ John~

I smile small.
"Only if you want to," I say.

[Guest]

I shrug. "I dunno...wanna just...hang out for the rest of the day?"

I smile, bedning down slightly to undo the strap from her ankle, dunking underwater for an instant with eyes closed. Back up I shake my wet hair, rubbing the salt water from my eyes, and nod, picking up my board.
"Sure," I say, walking towards teh beach with her.
