I eyed him skeptically and leaned against the island. "Simba!" I called happily as I saw the orange cat walk into the kitchen. [Haha XD]
I leaned down and picked him up. I looked to John. "Have you met the 'king of the jungle' yet?" I laughed.

Simba:I trot over to her and purr loudly, rubbing against her legs.

{XD kitty! Lol, my real cat is Mufasa, he would've been Simba but we had a dog named Simba, and Fasa fits him as a nickname }

I laugh a little bit as I watch the cat. "Nope, unless you count now," I say.

Simba:I jump up on the gus lap and push my nose into his stomach.

[Rofl! I had a cat named Simba. Beautfiul, beautiful creature. But my dogs got him...killed him. I loved that cat so much... =/ Orange's were always my fav]

I smiled. "There's another to add to your list. He likes you!" I giggled.

{man, that sucks, I had a cat before Fasa named Alladin, but he disappeared one summer about four years ago, and there's with one fridge on the side of our house that hasn't worked in forever since it was my grandma's. We were going to see if it still worked since a neighbor wanted it, then we found our cat...}

I smile, holding onto Simba so he wouldn't slide right off me or grab at me with his claws, rubbing his head. "Well you'd have to tell me if that's a good or bad thing," I say with a laugh.

[Oh god. We found Simba when my sis and I were coming home from school. Both my parents were at work so it was just us...and we found him under the chairs. The dogs were hurt, so he tried...but he wasn't enough. Now we crate them when we leave the house...we already lost 2 that way...no more! *huggles her kitties*]

I watched them and smiled. "Well I don't know. I think I'm on it, though."

{ that's the way I came home to find my duck dead from the dogs (haha, we have a bunch of animals, though sadly no more ducks). That's really sad, I know how it feels for things like that to happen, one of my dogs got ran over one time, and we all loved him }

I smile again, rubbing his head and back.

[Hard core D: I want some ducks...but now I don't think so. Stupid dogs. >_> When I first moved to this house...I was like...8? But anyway, my sis and I got to pick a cat from the shelter. It was that adopt one get one free thing. Well my old cat in Germany was a calico, so that's what I chose. We'd let the cats outside and stuff, and this cat...she was so stupid...she sat in the middle of the road. I had just come home from my neighbors, and I saw it. Right there. She was literally RUN OVER 3 times. But you have to understand. This is a random back road. Why the hell 3 cars all at once came still confuses me. Never again will I own a calico. I still remember her in my moms arms covered in blood...her eyeballs weren't even there and...it hurts so much to even think about her...]

I glanced at the clock on the wall and frowned. I ducked below the island and opened one of the cabinets. I then turned around and pulled a kitty bowl from the counter. "He's probably hungry." I mumbled as I shoved some cat food into the bowl and onto the countertop.

{ohmygosh, that is so terrible! One time I walked down to my bus stop and there was a dog RIGHT THERE, literally in the middle of the road, eyes bugged out. And he was a MASSIVE dog too, who could've not seen it or at least gotten out to help? And he was run over AGAIN, it's like, hello, giant roadkill right there on old highway 80, are you blind? It was so sad. My dog was laying behind the wheel of my truck and my dad had it on because he was about to move it, we didn't even know he was outside, and Dad went to move the truck... We were gonna shoot him since even if we tried to take him to the vet it would be a two-hour drive, but then he just died and I was only about ten and I was crying so hard}

I watch her get the catfood, letting Simba jump out of my arms. "Does he start yowling and crying when you feed him late?" I ask curiously. My friend's sister had a cat like that.

[Awww! That's awful. I hate when stuff like that happens. My sis had this little black pony. Adorable, but very feisty. She had a baby..all black like her momma. well anyway. She was bred to one of our mini studs (the one before the one we have now ) and she foaled without us. She was new, and didn't know anything. We could tell her stomach was small, but no baby was beside her. We thought maybe it had gotten killed which was still sad. About two days later we heard something in the neighboring fence. We saw a small black colt running around. He was weak, but we thought he could live. We even got some milk from a friend who's mare had also just foaled cause his momma wouldn't feed him. So we took him home and the next morning he wasn't well. We rushed him back to the barn where he died. I watched it. His lil lungs couldn't hold it anymore. He like gasped and then was still =T Awful thing to watch. Such a young thing. We called him Piglet.]

I thought about it for a moment and shrugged. "Well...I'm not that sure. He did when I locked the cabinets. I did that cause of my old dog." I added before continuing, "But he died shortly after I got Simba a few years ago..so I didn't mind the cabinets anymore. And I figured out that the cat is pretty smart. If I don't feed him, he gets into the cabinets himself. I wanted to lock them again but didn't like his howling. Soo...I guess so." I smiled, thinking over what I had just said and wondering if it made sense.

{awh Christ, that's so sad! I helped a mare give birth to a small colt, a cute little palomino, and he was so small. His mother wouldn't nurse him but one of the other mares, whose foal was a stillborn, would, and he started doing better, but he had some kind of disease a literally just collasped one day. He was in the pasture with his foster mom and we were all holding him as he died, and the vet got here only a couple minutes later }

I smile. "Smart little cat. Does he only get into the catfood or everything else?" I asked, leaning against the counter and folding my arms on the counter.

[same. The vet was just a few minutes too late..it's so sad. And, to make it worse, that was the first horse-related death that I had actually seen...and it was my horse. (Technically).]

I stared at the cat for a moment and frowned. "Just the catfood, actually. He does like cheese curls, though." I smiled.

{I hate things like that, the first I saw was at a horse show when a horse bolted as he was coming out of the arena, taking off. He stepped into a gopher hole and went flying, breaking his neck and leg, he died a few minutes later, and everyone just sat there since we didn't really know what to do. A family friend was closest and ran over to make sure the rider was okay.}

I chuckle softly. "So I guess you know better than to leave those lying around, huh?" I say, scratching Smiba right in front of his tail on his back.

[Once there was a horse who was running the barrels. Real cute rider, too XD Well as he dashed for the first barrel something snapped on the girth, and the saddle came off. The poor guy went flying. You can imagine how fast the pony was going. He was sent to the hospital. And my sis...she was bucked off. Flew at least 10 feet and then hit her back. Also went in the ambulance (sp?) and to the hospital. Thank god she was okay. And the thing, that mare kicked out when she ran, but NEVER bucked like that. Not for me anyway. She was a good mare...=T Arab..]

I chuckled. "Yep."

{oh wow, one time riding my horse at a show, I got bucked off TWICE before it even STARTED. Star, my sister's horse, spooked at the chalk on the ground and Patches was right by her and took off back to the trailer bucking. I got horrible road rash >.<
Aw, I love Arabs! I'm getting one from my mom's work, and he's so adorable, but his hoof is chipped really bad right now =/ }

I watch the cat eat for a bit, tapping quietly on the counter to a song that was stuck in my head.

I jump up on the counter and lay down, my tail hanging off the edge and twitching, I purr happy to be around my owner and her new found friend.

[Dawww >.< I once had this gelding. Gorgeous, he was. Dunno what color to be excact. We called him Rocky...but anyway. He'd always do this jumping sideways thing and he did it at a horse show and I was like hanging off the saddle XD Finally I fell...gave me a half-concusion thingy and my mom made me get back on and trot him around the barrels. Yay. -_- ]

I smiled and stroked Simba. My eyes trailed over to John's tapping finger and I shook my head. "My mom always hated when I tapped my fingers." I smiled.

{XD my dad tried to make me do that when I fell off a massiv 16.3hh QH and broke my collarbone, though he didn't know it then}

I smile. "My dad joked that he would cut off my hand and my brother's," I say. "He said only girls tapped their fingers." I rolled my eyes.

[Saviour]

I sneeze at their conversation, my way of laughing at his comment on the subject. I rub my chin on her hand when she strokes me, my purring growing louder from her attention.

I tilted my head, slightly curious. "Why only the girls?" I smile and stroke Simba.

[Saviour]

I look up, my ears foreward and my eyes set on a strange man who was heavily dressed on the beach. My tail twitched and then went stiff and I jumped over her arm and onto the bar, I jump off onto the sand and watch the man curiously, my body stiff.
