"Compared to what I've gone through before, dragging one girl around with me who doesn't know how to fight is nothing," I say, looking over at her.

I arch my eyebrows.
"How well? Like this?" I ask, poking her shoulder with my fist.

I smile slightly and give him a light punch back. "Like that."

I smile, rolling my eyes.
"Ever gotten in a real fight?" I ask curiously.

I shake my head. "Nahh...you?" I stare up at him, my hazel brown eyes bright with curiosity.

I shift slightly.
"Too many to count," I say.

I sigh.
"I learned how to stay alive, at least," I say.

I smile crookedly.
"Even if that makes me a big scary retired army guy?" I ask innocently.

I roll my eyes. "Not big and scary."
I stared at him for a moment, toying with a smile.
I gave up fighting it and then said, "So how does the military work, then?"

I shrug.
"Military-like. Not exactly neat and tidy, but well-organized," I say.
"IT can change someone's life, that's for sure."

I nod slightly and stare out the window for a moment. I then looked back up at him, my eyes bright with excitement. "Have you ever got to ride in one of their helicopters?!"

I chuckle.
"Yes, I have," I say.

I grin. "I've always wanted to ride in one...was it fun??"

"It depends on why you're riding in one," I say.

I blink. "Right..." I slumped back down. "So er...was it hard...?"

I arch my eyebrows.
"Being in the service? Usually boring," I say.

I nod and stare out the window for a moment. "Well...life doesn't go on forever. What do you want to do now?"

I shrug my shoulders.
"Who knows? Maybe I'll re-enlist or something. There's a lot of choices, but none really sound appealing," I admitted.

I roll my eyes. "No! I mean, we have the rest of the day yet." I smiled.

"Well then maybe you should specify," I joke lightly.
