Jaybird bucked, and the father let go. Whinnying, she started to chase after but she realized it was too late. She felt film tape her eyes and she crumpled weakly to the ground, feeling her stomach clench. "Apollo..." she whispered, looking at the road.

[Spritz]

With the ropes still hanging from his neck, Apollo tossed his head into the air, letting out a shrill, peircing whinny that echoed in the enclosure. He bucked out wildly, his hooves hitting the walls with sharp cracks. He heard the truck start, and the trailer start to move away from his sister.

Jaybird did not dare give up. Instead, she lifted up and started to paw the ground jumping the fence and went after the truck whinnying wildly. She wasn't going to lose her brother! Not again. She huffed, but kept going. She was champion of running and she could run super fast and try to follow him to where he was going.

[Spritz]

Apollo heard hoofbeats following the truck, but the vehicle was starting to pick up speed. He thrust his muzzle out of the small space above where the door closed. Whinning in fear and terror, and also in desperation, he saw the last glimpses of Zoey sobbing into her hands, and Jaybird galloping franticly behind the truck, growing smaller and smaller as they drove away.

Jaybird started to grow tired, and she pushed herself on but the truck started to go faster... and faster. She stopped and looked, watching the truck go away, whinnying quietly. She started to trott, she was not going to lose her brother.
