(Starchaser) Two foxes, ten tails...

Catori wondered aroudn sniffing the ground a little for her next meal, hugnry she whined a little and sighed. "If only that hunter hadn't gone and caught all the rabbit with that stupid dog of his" she muttered and walked back hungrily to her den between the roots of an old oak tree which she had dug out and made herself.

The autmn had come but the hunters still set traps and chased off the food. She flicked her tail not impressed at all and looked around her she jumped feelign a rain drop on her nose. "Ah, come on, I don't want to hunt in the rain later" she said adn walked into ehr den curling up on the leaf bedding. She had a red coat with a white underbelly.

Curling up she stayed as quiet as she could her tail going over her nose and ehr hazel eyes closed gently but still listened around for anything tha tmight be dangerous.

Foalon took a few sips of water, eyes half closed until her heard a russeling splash from the water. He lifted his head to see a water vole break from the surface and start to wobble and dig through the nearby sandy area. Foalon's senses immediently told him to break to the ground and step by pawstep he slowly got closer to the distracted vole. Close enough, he wiggled his haunches and threw himself ontop of the vole and cave a small nip to its neck. He then moved away and picked it up, taking it to a nearby cave, and walking over to the cave and sitting down to eat. As he ate, he stopped and turned, smelling a strong scent of fox. He flicked his nine tails intently and called warily, "hello?"

Catori lifted her head and looked to him growling a little but smelt the food as well but tried to not take any notice of it. "What are you doing here?" she asked still a bit sleepy since she had ended up dozing off. She moved her tail a little looking at him and jerked a little nine tails, that's not possible, it can't be possible she shook ehr head and flicked her tail looking at him waiting for an answer. "Who are you?" she asked ust getting curious now. SHe stood up and shook herself out from the shadows and sat down her tail wrapping around ehr front paws.

Foalon looked at the female, cocking his head. He sat down as well wrapping all his tails around his paws making them cover them. He then dipped his head. "Hello my name's Foalon. Who may you be?" he asked. He hoped he didn't seem too scary, he was actually friendly for a fox with nine tails, for a fox that was so powerful... He waited for an answer.

"I am Catori, and what do you wnat here in my den?" she said licking her lips a little at the smell of food and her ears dropped a little tensing up greatly since she never let any fox into her den usually. But he caught her interest because she hadn't seen a nine tailed fox before but she had heard stories from her mother as a cub.
"Well,going to answer" she said simply her tail flicking a little.

Foalon nodded and lifted himself off his haunches, and nosing the rest of his kill to her. "I'm just stopping here to rest, nothing serious." he murmured calmly. "Here, I say you eyeing this... take it." He said as well. He lifted his head to meet her gaze. "If it's okay with you, I could come in and rest?" he asked.

She hesitated a litttle sniffing what was left of the vole and nodded "Thank you and it's the least I can do for giving me something to eat" she said and picked up the voleadn let him come inside lying down she easily picked bits of meat of the bones easily

Foalon nodded and smiled, blinking gratefully. "Well, it's the least I can do." he said and lied down beside her, their fur touching. He looked out the cave. "So, how long have you been here?" he asked looked over to her.

"About two years, after I left my parents" she said and finished eating the bits of meat and licked her lips contently knowing that it would kep her going until she next tried to hunt and crossed ehr front paws. "What about you? how long ahve you been in the area also why do you have nine tails?"

Foalon shook his head and then nodded. "I was here when my race were extinct now, the only ones left are me and my brother. He's the one who killed them all. He wants to be seen for just him. And I am a nine tailed fox that's why." He answered and turned to look at his nine tails then back at her.

"I'm sorry" she said and flicked her tail a little her fornt paws crossed and her head turned to look at him. She stood up and shook her fur off, "Stay as long as you wish" she said simply and walked out to get herself a drink and flicked her ears listening for the dogs again and snarled hearing barks.

Foalon followed her. He was determined to protect her, seeing she only had one tail. Just a regular fox. He thought. As he followed her through the trees, he stopped to see barking. "Quicken your pace." Hhe whispered then stopped to see a dog barking feriously. Foalon tensed, his 9 tails sticking straight up and his fur. "Go!" he snarled to the female then jumped on the dogs each, whipping one in the face, knocking them uncounsious with his tail.

She flicked ehr tail a little and turned to him as he spoke she growled a little seeing the dog but then her ears went back adn she legged it quickly not stopping to turn back she hid back in her den staying to the shadows and panted a little. "Why on earth did he follow" she said and nibbledher fur a little grooming herself.

Foalon growled and finished the last mutt. All of them lay splayed on the ground. He followed her scent trail and came back. He blinked and started to groom himself quietly, not saying a word. He'd save her... would she be happy?

Catori just looked to him and went over instictively checking he wasn't injured "sorry" she said "but thank you" she bowed her head a little and flicked her tail. SHe didn't like gettig others to defend her but in this case she didn't have a choice since he had made her run.
