Re: Such Unspoken Mystery Is Like Playing With Fire [ Thunderstruck ]
My thoughts subsided as I heard the click of a new message on my yahoo account. I stood and opened the message. Reading the print quickly before deleting the message. Great. There was a hunter being hired for the town. I would now have to leave no matter what. I grab my laptop and put on my jacket. Opening the old door and stepping into the cold once more. I shut and lock the door behind me before heading towards the forest. In the night I would find a new, safer, lesser known town.

Molly curled up for a few minutes before hearing the shutting of the door, and walked to her door, seeing the man leaving. "And where are you going?" She called to him, crossing her arms and shuffling on hand to keep the picture frame semi-hidden and so that it wouldn't poke her with its sharp edges. She could tell he was in a hurry, but the had a while before nightfall, when she bet both of them needed a lift out of town. She turned her eyes to her red corvette and nodded towards it, "If you're looking to get out of town," she said, only so he could hear, "I can give you a ride. I'm leaving just the same. I can drop you off at a different town, if you'd like, then where I'm goin'."

I heard her words and stopped. The melodic voice ringing in my ears. I didn't turn around however. "I must leave town, but do not need a ride" I say. Not wanting to leave, but not wanting to turn around. What was with me lately? I curse at myself in a whisper and force myself to step forward into the weakening storm. Leaving footprints in the snow above the ones that were covered from the night before.

"Come on!" Molly said, resting against the porch's frames. "Do you really want to walk in the snowstorms to come? You'll die of frostbite before you reach the next town. I'll give you a ride to the closest town, get you a hotel room, and you can do what you want from there." Molly tilted her head slightly and shuffled her arms, nearly dropping the picture, but managed to catch it and hold it so he couldn't see the image of her mother that was printed in sepia on the other side. Molly looked at him, knowing he'd probably say no, but hoping he'd say yes. She still felt rather guilty for ratting him out to the police, and helping him escape would be the least of what she could do for him

I sigh and stop once more. "Why would you want me to ride with you in your car? I am nothing but a monster, am I not?" My words were cold. Seeming to chill the storm even more. I gather the strength to turn. Her eyes the first thing I met and I could tell she was hiding something. A frame peeking from her folded arms.

Molly sighed exaggeratedly, loud enough for him to hear, "You're still a human, are you not?" She mocked slightly, tapping her foot. "I'm going to leave in thirty minutes," she said, glancing at the watch she could just see from the inside of her house, through the window, "If you change your mind, feel free to join me. Don't be late, because I'm not willing to wait for you." Molly then turned on her heel and walked into her house, closing the door behind her and began to pack once more, putting her mother's photo at the very bottom of her suitcase.

I shake my head slightly as she walks in once more. "I can't wait either" I whisper before turning around and walking towards the forest. I needed to stop this. She was just another human I should have killed. My mother's eyes or not. I should've killed her, and none of this would've happened.

32 minutes later, Molly had finished packing her suitcase and left a note of abscense on her door, making it look as if she was simply going on vacation to Texas, and would be back within a week. Molly hated lying, but she couldn't help it. She had to protect herself at the moment or face charges for lying to the officials. Sighing, Molly opened the trunk of her car and shoved her suitcase in before opening it, rummaging through it, and pulling out the picture of her mother. She sighed and ran her index finger along the golden frame, looking down onto the beaming face of her mother, and she felt herself get choked up for a moment. She gripped the frame harder and stared it, wondering why that damn car crash had ever had to happen.

A flash back of my mother's fright, her shaking her head. Anger and worry littering her beautiful green eyes. My father had disappeared when it had happened. Coincidence? Nah. My mother left me fending for myself at the age of twelve. Why am I different? That's why. I return to the beating cold and blinding darkness. Throwing my laptop into the snow for I would not need it anymore. A town was the last of my thoughts. I was going to try a different way of life. One with less dangers and less ways to screw up.

Molly sighed and wiped the corners of her eyes before placing the picture back in her suitcase, zipping it up, and closing the trunk. She brushed the snow off of the other parts of the cars and got into the driver's seat. She put the keys into the ignition and her first thoughts were to put on the heat, when she looked over and saw that her gas meter was low. She'd have to get more gas, and she didn't really want to. Sighing, Molly turned on the heat and laid back in her chair for a moment, eyes closed, trying to get herself together. She'd wait five minutes to see of the wolf-man would show up... if he didn't, she was on her way to the nearest town. With that, Molly allowed herself to relax and stared on the window, semi-hoping to see his figure walk out of the forest.

I fought back the urge to walk back to the girl. Knowing it would only result in bad. I lay in the cave, green eyes watching as water gathered along the top. Wavering as it became heavy and collapsed to the ground. Misting me slightly on the cheek. I wipe the water off once again and find patterns in the moss. Strange ribbons and circles that were guided and shaped from water supply.

Molly had waited nearly ten minutes now, and she had no idea why she hadn't just left already. Sighing, Molly put the car into the gear and revved up the engine -- which was rather noisy -- and began to pull out of the driveway. The fact that she had waited so long for a man who obviously wanted to kill her appalled her. She'd never been one interested in men, but he was rather alluring to her, and she didn't like it one bit. Molly grimaced and turned on the radio to 94.7, and began to sing along with the songs she knew as she drove out of the small neighborhood, not noticing she was driving slower than usual, as if waiting for him to come running up to her and tell her to stop. She gave one last look at her new, yet old, house and rounded the corner, slowly making her way to the gas station.

I couldn't think of anything but her. Her voice. Her eyes. Her hair. Her smell. Why is it I could fall for some one so fast when I had only wanted to kill her? I shake my head at myself and let my head rest on the cold rock. Making my hair slightly wet. However, even if I wished it go away, she continued to penetrate my mind. She was gone already. Leave me alone.

Molly had just reached the gas station when her car rolled to a stop. It was a few inches short of where she needed to be, and the gas pump wouldn't reach that far. Grimacing, Molly got out of the car and pushed it gently, rolling it to a stop right where it needed to be. The car nearly skidded on a patch of ice, and went forward even more, but it managed to roll to a halt before it did so. Longing pulled at her as she wished that the wolf-man had come back. Molly hadn't even caught his name! She sighed and put the gas pump in the car and hopped into the front seat, shivering in the cold.

Another sigh escaped my lips as I stood up. Looking into the coming night and already feeling strength. I didn't want to ever become human again. It was useless. Weak. Annoying. With a roll of my eyes, I step out and into the cold. The winter breeze toying with my jacket and pant legs. I didn't know where I was going. Back to town? I was craving a coffee and cresant, maybe I would just go to Starbucks.

Molly sighed when she heard the click of the pump. She got up and out of the car and began taking the pump out, sliding in her credit card into the correct slot, and then taking it out again, shutting the gas-tank enterance on her car's side. Molly stood there for a minute, then decided she'd go get a coffee. She suddenly remembered that the wolf-man might be there, and, distressed, shook her head and changed her mind. He'd almost killed her, he probably still wanted to, and she needed to get away from him. Molly decided, if she'd had to, she'd go to the Mc. Donald's across the street and get one of their wimpy coffees instead. Entering her car once more, she started it up and began to drive, a bit faster, to Mc. Donald's, ready to get out of this town and away from the wolf.

I walk inside the shop and order my typical black americano. Taking a drink and ordering a cresant. I waited for longer than usual. And the dirty blonde woman seemed deathly afraid of me. I watch her closely as she makes the food, warily avoiding me. A small grin tickled my lips as I sat down and rested my eyes. It was too bad I had to leave.

As Molly pulled into the drive-through at the Mc. Donald's across the street from Starbucks, she caught a glimpse of the bright green eyes and immediately averted her gaze. Exactly what who she hadn't wanted to see. The wolf-man that hadn't joined her on her great escape. She felt a bit offended that he hadn't accepted her offer, yet in a sense, she was glad. Falling for a man this easily, especially one that wasn't really a man, wasn't good. Molly grimaced and ordered her coffee, paid at the first window, and drove slowly up to the second window, where she was handed her coffee and asked if she wanted a packet of cream. Nodding her head numbly, Molly took the cream and began to drive away, doing her best not to look into the Starbuck's window as she drove past.

I glance over and recognized the bright red car. She must've been waiting for me. I shake my head and stand up to take the cresant. The woman placed it on the counter and left. Obviously not wanting me any closer than required. This fear almost made me angry, or made me feel secluded. I grab the bag and sit down. Taking a bite and complimenting it with the hot coffee. A woman whispered to her husband quietly behind me. She must've been talking about me. I didn't want this fear anymore.

Molly managed to successfully drive past the Starbucks without a backwards glance, and finally mustered her strength to press harder against the gass peddle, and her car revved up loudly and took off down the street. Molly nodded, pleased with herself, and reached over for her coffee, taking a sip, almost spitting it out. She'd always hated Mc. Donald's coffee. Just like her mother had. Molly smiled as a memory of her mother complaining to her father about eating breakfast at Mc. Donald's. She'd sounded like a 3-year-old when she'd complained, and it had always brought a smile to Molly's face. She came to a screeching halt at a red stoplight she'd almost zoomed right past, and the front of her car was about a foot past where it should've been. Shaking her head angrily, Molly reclined into the seat and tried to relax.

Another couple began talking about me, and I got up quickly. Grabbing my cresant and coffee and leaving the shop abruptly. Walking to the old man's house. I caught looks and whispers along the way. It seemed as though I was going mad. With frustration, I unlock and open the man's door. Locking it behind me and sitting on the dusty couch. I turn on the old tv. It went directly to the news, announcing the mistake of what appeared like me. They said they weren't sure though. A grumble and I changed the channel. Only to find the same thing. Finally, I reached a channel that wasn't talking about this incident. Great, not much better. Some 'Animal Planet' talking about wolves hunting their prey. I turn off the tv and lean back in the chair.

Sighing, Molly eventually made her way from the town, although it took about an hour. Once she was gone, she stopped at a small town and pulled into the driveway of a run-down hotel that looked like it was ready to cave in. Knowing it was the best she could do for now, Molly got out of the car after parking it and went inside. It was almost as cold inside as it was outside, and she frowned. This was probably the place to be, for her, since she was wanted in a town only an hour away. She needed to get clean out of this state, that's what she needed to do. Molly checked in, seeing as all the rooms they had were open, and the man behind the counter continued to bore her about when breakfast was open, when it closed, and what they served. Molly brushed him off and smiled saying, "I won't be here for breakfast. I'll check out at four tomorrow." Molly smirked and went to her room, which was conveniently on the 7th floor, the highest floor the had. Could this day get any worse?

I couldn't wait for the night. Then I would be rid of this town and these people. Rid of her in my mind, and rid of whatever else that was boring me. I take the last bite of the cresant and throw the bag on the floor. Taking a long swig of my coffee and kicking my feet up onto the coffee table. As convenient, the glass shattered onto the floor. "You have got to be kidding me" I grumble and stand up, kicking the metal lining over and stepping into the kitchen. OUt of sheer boredom, I turn on the faucet. Watching the stream of water before turning it off. I then turn it back on, and repeat this for several minutes before laying back on the counter and falling asleep. Hopefully I would sleep through the change.

Molly sighed as she eagerly crawled into bed, but she couldn't get him out of her head. She wondered what he was doing, and wondered if she called her house, he would be able to hear the ringtone, where-ever he was. Molly guessed he'd returned home for the night before heading out the next day. The most annoying thing was that she couldn't get him out of her head, and he was nothing but a stupid wolf. Molly barely knew him, yet she felt some... responsibility for him. Molly tried to fall asleep, but only managed in tossing and turning, and groaned, turning on her stomach and screaming into her pillow.

I wake up, sore from the hard counter and now in my wolf form. I glance around with amber eyes before moving to the bed. Figuring I would sleep tonight and leave tomorrow.
