Jordan was rather disgusted at the relaxed tone in Jake's voice, as he peered at Molly, who was crouched fearfully by the doorway.
"Hello, Jake." Jordan said in a menacing tone. Molly slunk back around the corner and into Claire's room, not wanting to hear or even think about what they'd be talking about. She sighed as she decided she'd feed Claire, who hadn't fallen asleep after all, and was waggling her tiny arms and legs in the air.
"It appears Molly was contacting you, I see. Still have your plans to come out and get me, superman?" Jake sneered.

Jake

I cough and stand up. Caught completely offguard. "Jordan?" I say and walk down the hall a ways. Unable to sit down when I talked to the man. "Superman? Are you implying that Molly needs saving?" I countered, twisting his words as a sort of backfire. Inside I was freaking. What if he did something to Molly? But I didn't let that show in my words. Sounding stern and not flustered as I was trained.

Jordan grimaced at his words. "I'm implying that you think you can take her away from me." Jordan snarled. "You know very well what I mean, lover-boy. Don't play stupid with me. You never struck my as that type. I could be wrong, though." Jordan shrugged, although he knew that Jake couldn't see him. "Just letting you know, if I find out either of you have contacted each other again, I will do something to Molly. You wouldn't want that, would you? Knowing it'd be all your fault?" Jordan chuckled menacingly, hoping it would fill him up with guilt, just at the thought.
"That's just fair warning, my friend," Jake sneered before hanging up, stalking back to Molly to find her feeding Claire. He didn't make a move on her, though. Instead he just stared, thinking.

Jake

I grit my teeth at his words, and didn't even respond. Flicking my phone closed and grabbing my jacket. Checking to make sure I had my weapong strapped to my belt. I push the door open and slam it behind me. Getting into the car quickly and revving it to life. Not bothering to belt in, or check my mirrors. I back out of my driveway and drive towards my office. I could trace the call, then get Molly. For good this time.

Molly flinched when she saw Jordan standing there, a stone-cold look on his face. He looked like he was going to kill. After Claire was fed, Molly burped the youngster and set the heavy-lidded baby back into her crib, singing her a soft lullaby before standing up and walking to the door, only to be stopped by Jordan.
"You have a lovely voice, you know that?" he said in a uncanny monotone. "Sung from a beautiful mouth, with succulent lips..." He trailed off as he kissed her forcefully, making her emit a squeal. She managed to push away from him and she said,
"Back off, Jordan. I'm going to bed!" Molly stormed into their room like a toddler. She was so pissed it seemed like an egg could be fried on her cheek. She threw the covers on top of herself, and stared at the wall a few minutes before feeling Jordan slide into bed next to her, wrapping his arm around her waist and pulling her closely, whispering threats about all the things he'd do to Jake if she ever contacted him again.

Jack

I got a curious look from Josh-my assistant- as I stormed through the front doors. [so many J's lol] "Forgot the other case" I lied blatantly, though he believed me. I hook up my cell to the computer and trace through the calls to her phone. Waiting impatiently for it to locate her house. When it did, I take the work phone in my middle ring and little finger. Using my index to punch in the authorities 911 number. "Hello, what's your emergency?" A robotic sounding woman answered the phone. I pause, making sure Josh wasn't listening. Then continue. "Yes, um, my neighbors. I heard a child crying along with some feminine cries. I am afraid there is something hostile going on there.." There was a pause. Was she telling them to go there? "Thank you sir, may I ask your-" With that, I hung up.

Molly refused to take it any more after one particularly gruesom description by Jordan. Molly wrenched violently away from him and screamed, "You fucking bastard! You don't even have the guts...!"
By now, Jordan was also on his feet.
Molly grabbed the nearest thing to her (which happened to be a lamp) and chucked it at him. It would've hit him right in the head if he hadn't ducked, allowing the expensive China glass to hit the wall and shatter, sending some sparks from the electrical wire.
Before she could pick up the next closest thing (her alarm clock), she found herself pressed against the wall, a dagger -- which had seemingly appeared out of thin air -- pressed against her throat.
"Darling, we've lived so happily together up until now. Why ruin it?" Jordan asked, pressing the dagger harder against her neck, drawing a thin trickle of crimson blood.

Jake

I take a centuring, yet shaky, breath and memorize the address. Closing the program and standing up. I place my phone in my pocket and walk out of my office. "Sorry Josh, had some last minute paperwork and a call" I say and push open the door into the chilly night air. It didn't even phase me. Partially out of feeling numb in fear for Molly, and also because of my oddity. I climb into the corvette (which I had left on) and head directly for the highway.

Molly shuddered, "Please...!" she begged. "Don't hurt me!"
Jordan moved away from her, wiping the blood off the dagger onto his dark jeans. He stared at her as she continued to wipe the blood that poured slowly from her wound off of her neck. She eventually was forced to get a handful of tissues and press them on the wound. Apparently Jordan had pressed harder than he'd meant to. Molly sat on the bed, shivering, the tissues slowly turning crimson and wet, wondering if she'd ever get out of this hell.
"You should get some rest," Jordan said, pushing her onto the bed gently before trailing kisses down her neck.
"Jordan, get the hell off me!" Molly protested, kicking him off and huddling amongst the pillows.

Jake

I hoped the authorities would be there by the time I arrived. I had a slight plan formed, but hoped nothing would stray. I take my phone and text a short text to Molly. Hoping she would get it. Grab Clair, I'll be at the back.

Molly had just lay down, the bleeding on her neck finally stopped, yet the wound was still fresh. She flicked open one eye and stared at her phone, which had just vibrated, signalling she'd gotten a text. Molly looked over at Jordan, who was leaving the room. He hadn't seemed to notice the buzz.
Quietly, she picked up her phone and saw the text was from Jake. She read it eagerly, then nodded, calling to Jordan, "I'm going out onto the back porch with Claire..."
All she got in return was a grunt and unhappy epxression. Molly nodded and slipped out of bed, placing a large bandaid over her neck and grabbing Claire gently, who was still sleeping, and made her way downstairs to the porch, her cell phone still in her hand as she texted a reply:
All right... outside now. Jordan is not in a good mood....

I reply *I know* and turn onto her street. Parking a block away and getting out. I left my jacket in the car, but kept my firearm on my hip. Lifting into a brisk jog, I turn and climb over the fense silently and with supernatural ease. Seeing Molly, I rush over. Taking note of her injury. I pull her close to me and kiss the top of her head. Feeling horrible I couldn't prevent that pain. "Come on, we need to hurry" I say in a hushed voice, stepping back.

Molly smiled slightly when she felt Jake's lips on her forehead, despite their current situation. She nodded briskly and hugged Claire tighter to her chest, looking up at Jake. Molly couldn't agree more with him and said, "That's an understatement." Molly urged him forward, to lead her and Claire to his car so they could get away as soon as possible. She was sure he had some sort of plan, but she asked anyways, "Do you have a plan?"

I nod "Perfect one, but we need the neighbors cooperation" I say. Trying not to startle her with its many holes and such. I grip the fence and flip over it. Reaching over to offer a hand with Claire. Just then I thought of how she might not trust me with her, and pull slightly away. I stop though and hold my hands there.

Molly nodded, a bit skeptical herself of his plan. She didn't know enough about it to fully trust it, but she guessed he knew what he was doing, considering he was in the army now... Molly was about to hand him Claire when he pulled back slightly, and she cocked an eyebrow, but handed him Claire anyways before hoisting herself over the fence and teetering a moment before she regained her footing and took Claire back into her arms. "So... what exactly do we ned to do for this plan...?" Molly asked.

Jake

"For your neighbor to act like I did when I called. Saying he was worried about you because of all the rucous" I pause, stepping closer to the sidewalk and heading towards the corvette. "Then he went over and helped you and Claire out, and back to his house, where you called me, your friend" I say. Looking over at her.

[ just realized i spelled "ned" instead of "need..." .... epic fail ... almost spelled fail fial. wow. ]

Molly nodded gently. "Wait, wait," she shook her head. "Why would my neighbors be concerned? They barely know Jordan and I. He makes me keep to the house when I'm not at the school, and nobody in this neighborhood has children besides me, so none of them have any reason to be at the school. They do know we don't get along all the time, but they've never tried to stop it before. Why not?" Molly frowned.

Molly frowned. "Why can't we just run? Why can't we just run like the last time...? We can move out of the US for good. We can go to Europe, or Hawaii.... or ..." Molly trailed off. She knew it was hopeless. She sighed and rested her forehead against his broad chest, thinking about what they were going to do. Of course, they could always try his plan...

"No, no." Molly shook her head. "We'll just go along with your plan. There's a nice old man one house down... he may be willing to help, if we don't tell him the plan. Mind repeating it for me?" Molly lifted her head, determination clearly stated in her reddish-brown eyes.

Jake

"The neighbor called for help because he heard a rucous going on, then he went over and helped you out because he was worried when it became quieter..." I say, it was terrible. I knew it was terrible. And she probably did too. I let out a small sigh and look at the road. Unsure of how this would turn out.

Molly frowned then brain-stormed for a moment before piping up, "What about this: I run over to the neighbor's house--of course, after taking off this blasted bandaid--and tell him Jordan tried to kill me--he basically did try--and have him call the cops... You could take Claire and say that you rescued her from the house." Molly offered the idea then bit her lip, hoping it was managable.

Molly smiled. "All righty, then," Molly confirmed, handing him Claire. "I'll be one house down. Just to sound official, the neighbor's name is Mr. Williams. In case you ever need to call him by his name." Molly sighed, praying to God that this plan would work, and kissed him before taking off the band-aid, placing it in a nearby trashcan, and jogging off to the neighbor's house, hearing Jordan cry:
"MOOOOLLY!"
