Blake grinned and split from the group, going to mingle with the people at the party. The music was blaring and people were crammed togehter, dancing. Blake saw Rachel trying to convince Louis to dance and Blake couldn't help but smile. He walked over to them. "Why don't ya dance, Louis? Wouldn't it be better then just sitting there drinking your soda?" Blake asked with a slight grin. He cocked his head to the side and watched Louis with a friendly smile.
Looking down the hall, Blake watched as Markus and Caspian led some girls to some psare rooms. Shaking his head slightly, Blake turned his attention back to the two just as Xavier came up to his side. "Thomas and Lucas have started a huge fight out the back," he said, just loud enough to be heard over the music. Blake sighed and ran a hadn through his hair then looked at his friend. "Go find the other guys," he said and watched as Xavier nodded and left.
"Well then, next time I guess then, ey, Louis?" Blake said before turning and shouldering his way through the crowd, moving to the back of the house. Markus' backyard was huge. But Blake could make out a group of people surrounding who were obviously Lucas and Thomas. Blake made his way over to the groups and shoved through them. The group parted, making a wider, thiner circle around them. "Hey guys, break it up," Blake called to the two trying to get a punch at one anther. They completely ignored him.
Blake groaned and stalked over to them. "Oi!" she shouted, grabbing Thomas' shoulder. The guy was taller then Blake, with short black hair and hazel eyes. Lucas had medium red hair with green eyes. Thomas growled and swung around to swing a punch at him. However Blake caught his fist in his hand and then jerked it to the side and twisted, bending it back in the process. The guy yelped in agony and tried to pull his hand out of Blake's. But Blake kept a strong hold.
Lucas lunged towards him, to get in a hit, but Blake kicked out, kicking the guy right in the gut with a grunt. Lucas went to the ground, just as Koiya and Xavier came over. Obviously Markus and Caspian were busy. Too bad, Markus would've had alot of fun.

Louis looked over at Blake as he spoke, and just rolled his eyes. Rachel offered a sweet frown, then smiled again when Xavier appeared beside Blake. She saw his lips move slightly but she couldn't hear his voice above the music. Knitting her slender eyebrows together, she looked up at Blake. He left shortly after, and Rachel turned around to talk to Louis. He had left, though. Shocked, Rachel stood up on her tiptoes and tried to find him in the crowd. Failing, she sighed softly and the corner of her lip tugged downward. "Great" She thought, and said, quietly. Turning around, she moved back towards the kitchen and carefully took a sip of her water without touching the condensation on the outside. Louis jogged down the steps of the front door and answered his phone. It was Carley, an old friend of his who had recently moved to England. He couldn't pass up the opportunity to chat with her, it was so rare because of the long distance and time differences. "Hey!" He said, smiling even though she couldn't see it. His voice held a slightly shocked tone in it, and he could hear Carley's laughter dance from the other line. "It's cold here" He heard her say, and he took his turn in laughing. She was smiling, he could tell, by the way her words seemed to all end in a higher tone than they started with.

"Get them out of here," Blake grumbled bitterly, stepping away from them as Koiya grabbed both guys by the collar and led them out the front. "Well atleast you restrained yourself this time," oiya said when he finally came back. Blake muttered something incoherent under his breath and stalked off. "Always in a bitter mood after a fight, isn't he?" Koiya said, looking over at Xavier.
Xavier looked at him and gave a slight shrug of the shoulders before he walked off, hearing Koiya sigh heavily in the process. He went and opened the fridge and looked in it for a moment, before he settled for a bottle of water. Shutting the door, Xavier gave a soft sigh and leaned against a wall near where everyone was dancing. He ran a hand through his long hair before he opened his bottle and took a sip. He could already tell this was going to be a long night. Then he'd be forced to help tidy this place up in the morning.

Rachel's frown increased when Louis didn't reappear. She sighed and left her water on the counter as she moved towards the back door. She saw Blake storm in the house bitterly, and her curiosity spiked. She glanced around a moment before she turned and followed him. When he slowed, she jogged over to him and offered a small smile. "What's up?" She asked him, and pulled her hair to one side. Her blue eyes looking up at him. He was probably around a foot or so taller than she was, but she was used to being shorter than most people. Rachel slid her long fingers into the front pockets of her skinny jeans and rolled back on her heels as she waited for his reply.

Blake heard a voice once he had stopped and he turned to glare at the person who was bothering him. But then he saw it was Rachel and his gaze softened, "uh, sorry," he said, running a hand through his sandy blonde hair. He glanced away, "uh, not much. I just had to go split up a fight, is all. Nothing major," he said lightly with a small, almost ashamed laugh. God, he honestly hated when there were fights at a party. The night was meant to be fun, not violent. "Thanks... For asking though," he said, pausing for a moment to think, "uh, did I look angry? Ah, dammit, I did, didn't I?" he said with a small groan.

Rachel saw the anger in his eyes when he turned around, and she stepped back slightly. She nipped at her bottom lip as she listened to him, and she shrugged softly. "I guess so... Mostly just upset though" She said honestly, then looked back up at him. "If it means anything, its sorta fun" She said with a laugh and a shrug. Rachel chuckled and stepped back to allow a man carrying several drinks to what she assumed was his friends. She watched as he passed, and tried to follow him through the crowd. She lost view of him shortly after the tempo increased and she returned her grey blue gaze to Blake.

Blake gave a sigh of relief and then ndded. When she spoke again, commenting about the party, he looked at her, only to see her eyes folowing some guy who had walked past them. When she finally looked back at him, Blake gave a soft grin, "well, is there any way for me to make it even funner for you?" Blake asked the girl with a smile. "Afterall, the hosts are supposed to accomadate their guests as best they can," he aid with a light chuckle.

Louis chuckled and said his farewells to Carley. Reluctantly, he hung up his cell and slid it into the pocket of his jeans. He glanced around the darkening afternoon before he pushed open the door and stepped inside the party.

Rachel grinned at his words and shook her head softly. "Nah, but you're entertaining to watch as you huff around" She teased, and ran the end of her shirt between her thumb and index finger. The door opened almost noticeably, and Rachel glanced over to see an extremely happy Louis. She cocked a sandy colored eyebrow but looked back at Blake. "He's hard to follow" She said lightly and smiled.

Blake crossed his arms over his chest at her comment, scowling, but he couldn't keep the grin off his face. Then the door open and he looked over at Louis. He heard Rachel's comment and he nodded, "I think the same thing. Do you have any idea why he hates me? I'm pretty sure I haven't done anything to make him hate me.." he said, trailing off and looking at Rachel. "I really want to know. I don't like having enemies," he said with a slight frown.

Rachel shrugged lightly. "I don't know... He never really talks about that sort of thing. Not to mention I just moved here, so I don't really know everything about him." She said. "He knows everything about me, but I just don't think he likes talking about himself" Rachel added, then glanced over at him. She frowned slightly when they met eyes, and she looked down at her shoes. Louis rolled his eyes when he saw her talking with Blake, and he moved around them to the kitchen. Rachel sighed softly and leaned back against the staircase she was close to. She looked back at Blake. "What about your friends... You guys seem awfully...." She hesitated, picked her words carefully. "Fun" She said and laughed slightly.

Blake sighed softly and then watched as Louis moved around them to the kitchen. Cocking his head to the side, Blake looked back at Rachel as she asked about his friends. "Ah. Yeah, I guess. To be honest, we used all hate eachother. Well, except Xavier. I'm not sure that guy knows what negitibe emotions are. Or positive for that matter... But anyway. The main reason we became a group was because of our parents. Then we just, kinda became friends. If I think about it, none of us have personalities which are similiar, except that we like to have fun. Xavier's quiet, Markus likes to start fights, Koiya is loud, Caspian is... complicated. And i'm me. Yet eberyone seems to think that we're the bad boys of town," he said, thinking for a moment, his startling blue gaze looking down at Rachel.

Rachel listened closely to his voice, filtering it from the loud bass that vibrated her feet. She nodded softly, then looked back up at him. His sharp gaze caught her off guard and she glanced over towards the kitchen. Louis was taking a drink of his soda, and Xavier was standing by the fridge. She looked back at Blake. "Did something happen that made Xavier so quiet?" Rachel asked, but realized how nosy she was being. "I'm sorry. I can be really pushy... You don't have to answer that" She said with a nervous laugh and shifted on her feet.

Blake followed Rachel's gaze to Louis then Xavier. When she spoke, Blake frowned slightly. He could tell she liked him. Not that that bothered him. He looked back at her and shrugged, "Honestly. I'm not sure. Hm, now that I think about it, Xavier's parents never forced him to come into our group. He just did so on his own. But no, I have no idea why he's so quiet. He's been like that since before he joined our group. I think it may have started when he was around 10... His silence, I mean. Honestly, none of us have been to Xavier's house, nor do we know anything about him, really. He doesn't speak to anyone much. And never about himself." Blake said, turning his gaze back over to the silent guy/

Rachel let a frown litter her young features at the words. So she basically had no chance of getting to know him. She looked back at Blake just as he turned to look at Xavier. The entire group was incredibly handsome, but something about the others didn't really spike her interest. Blake had that cowboy, sweetheart appeal with a little cocky attitude. She had a soft spot for that, of course. Then there was Xavier. He was sweet, or so she assumed, and he was handsome. Rachel realized she had been looking Blake over and quickly turned her eyes to the floor. "Oh" She said softly, and wriggled her toes. They rubbed against the strap of her white flip flops and tapped the bottoms of them.

Blake could almost feel Rachel's disappointment and he laughed. He stepped to the side and pushed her lightly in Xavier's direction. "Go on. There's really only one way to truely get to know someone, isn't there?" he said with a wink befoe he turned and walked off. Now, what to do now?

Xavier took another sip of his water and watched in silence as the girls and guys mingled and danced, pressed up against eachother. Some in more suggestive and compromising positions then others. Shaking his head slightly, Xavier leaned his head back against the wall wih a sigh.

Rachel felt his hand push her slightly and she turned back. Her eyes were wide "What?! No, I just" She said, but he had turned around. She took a long breath and let it out as a dramatic sigh. She glanced around the kitchen, and noticed Louis had left. He probably went home, she thought to herself. Her lips twitched slightly into a frown, then back to their normal form. They were full, and when she let them rest they had barely the hint of a smirk. She got the expression from her mother, she assumed. She never really knew her father. Stepping slowly and quietly, she wandered into the kitchen. Taking a napkin off the roll, she wiped off the condensation from her water bottle. She then set the paper towel down and picked up the water. Rachel took a long sip before she set it back down and looked down at her toes. How was she supposed to start a nice conversation with someone so held back as Xavier?

Xavier glanced into the kitchen, to see Rachel. Not saying a word, he stayed right where he was, not making a move towards her or anyone else for that matter. But then he saw a crwd of guys and girls alike wander into the kitchen. One of the girls shoved Rachel away, growling, "get outta my way," obviously the group was drunk. Xavier watched Rachel stumbled to the side and he pushed himself off the wall he was leaning on and stepped quickly over to her, gripping her shoulders firmly but gently and steadying her. Once she had her feet, Xavier let go and stepped back. "you alright?" he asked quietly, looking down at her with his honey brown eyes.

Rachel watched the pedicured toes of the woman as she moved towards her. She glanced up, and her eyebrows knit together when she was shoved. Gritting her teeth, she struggled to straighten herself. Hands gripped her shoulders, and she whirled around to see the big brown eyes of Xavier. She felt her cheeks warm but forced her embarrassment away. "Thanks" She said with a huff, and turned around to look at the drunk girl. She managed to spill Rachel's water all over the counter. She smiled slightly, and clenched her fist at her side. The water seemed to move naturally over to the girl, soaking the front side of her tight skirt. It looked like she had wet herself. Rachel couldn't hide her small laugh, and she clasped her hand over her lips.

Xavier watched the drunk girl as well and saw the water spill over her skirt. She yelped and shrieked like a banshee and then stormed out of te house. Raising an eyebrow, Xavier looked back at Rachel. "That was your water, right?" he asked her softly. "Sorry.." he apologised. For nothing, really, as it wasn;t his fault. He glanced at his water bottle and he offered it to her. "You can have it," he said softly, glancing at the water bottle he had in his hand then at Rachel, waiting for her to take it.

Rachel laughed as she stormed from the house, then turned around to face Xavier again. She hesitated, their eyes meeting. She glanced over at the spilled water, then shrugged. "Yea" She said in answer, then frowned at his apology. "It isn't your fault" She said, then looked down at his water. The outside gathered droplets from the warmed atmosphere around it. She hesitated, then stepped back slightly. "It's alright, I'm not really thirsty" Rachel said with a small smile, her heart racing. She peeled her eyes from the bottle back up to his honey colored eyes and soft features.

Xavier gave a light shrug and dropped his hand to his side, bottle held in it. He stepped back and leaned against the wall again, running a hand through his hair. He watched the girl a moment longer, holding her gaze, without wavering. Then he noticed how late it had gotten. People were either passed out on the ground or starting to leave and he gave a soft sigh. "Did you want me to walk you home? It's late," he said to her, waiting for a reply.

Rachel looked over at the people who had crashed around the house in various, and rather odd, places and positions. She shrugged lightly. "If you want" She said softly and looked back at him. If he wants... Dang she'd want him to walk her home even if he didn't want to. She really wanted to crack this man's shell. It was like her own little mystery that she swore she would solve.

Xavier gave a low nod and then moved towards the front door. Once she came outside and was walking in the direction of he house, Xavier caught up and waled beside her in silence. For him, it was comfortable. Xavier liked silence. Or, more to the point, he was used to it. He coudn't imagine himself being anything else. Quiet. That's all he could be. And Xavier liked the silence which greeted him when he was alone. Allowing him to think clearly.

Rachel glanced back as he caught up with her, and she let the silence creep over them. She hoped he'd break it, but it didn't seem like that was going to happen. A frown tugged at her lips, and she forced it away. "So.." She started, then hesitated. What was she supposed to say? She glanced out at the park for an idea, but it didn't help her. She looked back up at him and laughed slightly, shrugging her shoulders. "How long have you lived here?" She asked him finally.

Xavier cocked an eyebrow at her sudden laugh and he wondered what she was thinking of. But when she finally spoke, he looked over at her. "Since about 8 years old," he replied quietly, shoving his hands into his pockets and hunching his shoulders. "You said early today you moved here a few years ago, but only moved to this town recently... what do you mean by that? he asked her, cocking his head to the side.
