Rachel shook her head softly "Nah... I still won" She said with a grin, and punched his arm lightly. She leaned back when he told her how long it's be, and she looked up when Xavier turned around. She smiled warmly in return and tucked her legs under her. She pulled her hair out of the ponytail and it whipped back. A grin crept onto her face and she looked over at the ocean as they drove by it. She'd never been in a car like this, but it was fun.

Xavier turned back and glanced at Blake who was grinning. He shook his head and then looked ahead at where they were driving. Soon enough they came to a load of apartments and Blake parked. Getting out, the boys shut their doors and then went up some stairs from the outside, leading to the top apartments. They stopped infront of a door with the number 503 on the front. They waited for Rachel before Blake stepped back and Xavier knocked on the door three times.
A woman around the age of 23 stepped out, with long londe hair the same colour as Xavier's, that reached half way down her back and the same eyes as Xavier. She was model tin and just as tall as Blake. She had burn scars on her left shoulder and left side of her face. When she saw Xavier and Blake, a huge smile spread across her face. "Xavier! Blakey-boy!" she practically screamed, rounding them up into a bear hug. "I've told you a million times already to stop calling me that!" he grumbled. but she just laughed.
Then she noticed Rachel. "And who's this? Your girlfriend, Xavier? Or maybe yours, Blake?" the woman asked, moving over to her and giving her a hug as well. She stepped back. "Hi, i'm Xavier's sister, Claretta. And you are?" she asked with a bright smile, whilst ushering the three of them inside and shutting the door behind her.

Rachel's eyes lingered over the apartment building in front of them. The door's shutting made her jump slightly, and she crawled out of the backseat. She stepped inside the building. The cool rush of a breeze brushed back her hair, and she stepped over to the stairs. Her eyes followed Blake and Xavier up the steps and she hesitated. Is she intruding? She hated when she felt like she was just tagging along and unwelcome. She bit her lips slightly, and bounded up the stairs after them. Rachel stood back from the two and the door as they knocked, and her eyes trailed down the hall as they greeted his sister. She looked back and couldn't help laughing quietly at Blake's nickname. She looked up slightly wide-eyed at the girl as she addressed her, and she couldn't help noticing the burns. She looked back up at the girl shortly after and she swallowed hard. Her cheeks flushed at her comment and she smiled slightly at the hug. Rachel was relieved now that she new she wasn't unwelcome, and she stepped inside behind the guys.

"Her name's Rachel," both Blake and Xavier spoke up at the same time, "and no, she's not our girlfriend. She's just a friend," Blake replied with a grin, looking over at her. Claretta stared at the girl and then broke out in a smile again. "Oh my god! So cute! I've always loved the name Rachel," she said and brought her into another hug. "Why can't you be my sibling istead of Xavier. I mean, seriously! He never speaks!" she complained and then ruffled the guy's long hair. "Why haven't you brought her over before?" she asked, looking over at the two boys.
"We just met her yesterday," Blake replied, raising an eyebrow. Claretta glanced at Rachel, then back at the the boys. "Well, you better bring her here from now on, then," she said and then went into the kitchen. "Tea, anyone?" Xavier and Blake looked at eachother."Coffee," they both said and then Claretta poked her head out of the kitchen. "Rachel?" she asked whilst the kettle boiled. Blake led Rachel over to the couch an sat her down, Xavier and Blake sat down either side of her.

Rachel laughed at the two as they replied the way they had, and she nodded in agreement. She chuckled at the girl as she talked about her brother, and Rachel looked down at her shoes. She didn't feel uncomfortable, but she didn't feel like she needed to say anything. Rachel looked over at Blake as he explained why they hadn't brought her over before. She nodded and looked up at the woman. "Yea, I just moved to town a little bit ago" She said with a sweet smile that she only used around adults. Rachel didn't complain when Blake brought her over to the couch, and she sat down between the two. "Tea, if it isn't a bother?" She said, looking over towards the kitchen. She was nice, but Rachel couldn't help being curious about the burns. She would never ask them personally, but she might ask Blake about it later. Rachel folded her hands in her lap and looked around the room.

Claretta nodded and vanished into the kitchen. A few minutes later, carrying two coffee cups in each hand. She placed them on the table and then spread them out, placing them infront of the right person. Claretta sat on the opposite couch and she smiled. "I heard that you guys are talking to Caspian again. Is everything alright, now? He's not causing anymore touble, is he? If he is, i'll be more then happy to come down and show him who's boss," she said and the boys shook their heads. "No, hes fine for now," Blake said then glanced at Rachel, "explain on a later date," he whispered to her as Claretta nodded.

Rachel said a quiet thank you before she lifted the warm mug up into her hands. She took a drink and rested it on her knees. Her hands clasped tightly around it, the heat seeping into her palms. Her eyebrows dipped slightly and she glanced over at Blake for an explanation. She listened, then nodded slightly. "Okay" She said quietly and shrugged before she looked back at Claretta. Her eyes rested on her, but she wasn't really paying attention to her words. She took another drink of her tea before setting it down on the coffee table. She crossed her legs and looked over at the walls. There were pictures of her and what Rachel assumed to be her family.

Blake amd Xavier looked at Claretta. She turned her attention to Rachel and watched her as she looked at the pictures. "So, Rachel, where do you come from? What was it like?" she asked and Blake leaned back in the couch after taking a deep sip of his coffee and sighing. Xavier leaned forward, resting his arms on his knees, watching his sister for a shor while more and then looking away.

Rachel snapped back when Claretta spoke, and she smiled small. "Oh, I lived a little while away for a year and a half. Before that, I lived in Australia for about 14 years" She said and shrugged slightly. Her accent playing in the sudden silence. Rachel snuck a glance at Xavier, then Blake. She looked back at the coffee table and picked up her tea mug. She lifted it to her lips and took another sip.

Blake saw Rachel look at him and she turned slighty and grinned at her. Xavier sighed softly and he stood up. "I'm going for a walk," he said quietly and then waked outside. Blake sighed and looked at Claretta. "You go," he said and Claretta hsitated before she put down her cup before she stood up and followed him out the door. Blake siged. "It's always like this, don't worry about it. Mind you, I have no idea why he does it, so don't bother asking," Blake explained, glancing down at her

Rachel noticed his grin and smiled softly. She looked forward then turned at Xavier's words. Something made her feel like it was her fault and she looked down at her shoes. She didn't look up, but just listened as Blake told Claretta to go with him. Rachel scooted over to give Blake more room before she turned and looked up at his words. She shrugged at his words. "I wish I understood" She said quietly before taking another drink. She listened to the door as it opened then shut a second time.

Blake leaned forward and took another sip of his coffe. When she spoke, he glanced over at her. "so do I, Rach. So do I," he said softly before leaning back into couch again.

Rachel frowned at his words before she took another drink of her tea. She set the mug down on the table and looked over at him. "So what about you? Where did you live before.. Here?" She asked him and pulled her hair to one shoulder.

Blake looked at Rachel again when she asked where he had lived. He cocked his head to the side. "New York," he replied, "then Hollywood for a little while before we came here," he took another sip of coffee.

She listened, then chuckled slightly. "Should've known" She said with a teasing tone and grinned. She glanced around the room again. "She's got a nice place" Rachel said calmly.

Blake chuckled at her words. And then smiled when she commented about Claretta's place. "Yeah. It's nice," he said with a smie. Standing up, he walked infront of the wall, running a han over a photo.

Rachel watched as he stood and walked over to the wall. She couldn't help noticing how handsome he looked as he admired a photo. He bit at her bottom lip and set the tea down. Rachel stood up and walked over to him to look at the pictures closer. She looked at the photo he had touched and wondered why he was focusing on that specific one.

The picture he had been looking had had Xavier, claretta and some other girl, the same age as Xavier. Just the 3. "She," Blake paused, running a single finger over the girl who had dark brown hair, but the same honey brown eyes as the other two. "Was Rosa. She was Xavier's twin sister. However, last year, she died of cancer. We were, uh, pretty close, I guess you could say," which was a bit of an understatement. Rosa and Blake had been dating for 3 years, since they were both 13. When Rosa died, Blake, Xavier and Claretta were torn with what to do with themselves. It was at that time they had fought with Caspian. But, for now, he wouldn't go into that.

Rachel's lips curled into a soft frown as she listened to his words. Her heart seemed to drop like a rock in water when she heard about Xavier's sister. She could tell by the way Blake was talking that they were a thing. Rachel shook her head lightly and touched his arm softly. She dropped her hand and folded her arms. "I'm so sorry" She said, her voice was barely above a whisper and she struggled over the words. Rachel looked at the picture, and the girl was different from the others. She had dark hair, but she had the same beautiful eyes. Her smile was soft and sweet, and so innocent. Rachel assumed that that was how Xavier and Blake had become such close friends, despite their differences.

Blake shook his head softly as Rachel dropped her hand and folded her arms. She apologised for absolutely no reason and Blake sighed. "Don't be sad, Rach. There was or is nothing we can do about it. Sure, we miss her, but atleast she's not in any pain anymore. That's how I think of it. That it's better off where ever she might be, to here, where she was suffering," he said and smiled. He looked down at her and placed a hand on her head for a moment, "you remind me of her in some ways. Then in others, you gus are completely different," he said with soft chucke before letting his hand drop.

Rachel's blue eyes moved up to his when he spoke, and she let a small smile lift her lips. His voice was so full of emotion, and his words were just so moving. She let out a breath and looked over at the picture. The girl seemed almost haunting to Rachel, she felt like she had crossed a line she shouldn't have. Blake's hand rested on her head, and she turned back to him. Her lips were in their typical smirk, but she clearly wasn't grinning. He told her that they were alike in some ways, and that just added to the feeling of stepping over a boundary. She lowered her gaze and laughed for a moment as he did, but the laugh wasn't out of joy.

Blake noticed Rachel's uneasiness and he grinned and gave her a soft slap on the back, "don't worry about it, Rach," he said brightly with a grin. He wnt back over to the couch and sat down, taking another sip of his coffee. He glanced at the front door and wondered how long it would take for them to get back. Each time, the time varied. So he couldn't tell when they'd step through that doorway.

Rachel jumped slightly at his hand on her back, but she grinned at his words. Her shoulders lifted in a shrug and she moved over to the couch as he did. Her tea was cold by now, so she stood up and stepped around a corner and into the kitchen. Rachel dumped the tea down the drain, and set the cup inside the sink. Her eyes watched as the brown liquid slowly disappeared, then she turned and walked into the living room. Rachel sat down on the couch softly and looked over at Blake. "When will they get back, do you think?" She asked. Rachel was curious as to why he had told Clarette to go with Xavier, but she had had enough explanations for the day.

Blake turned his attention to Rachel as she went into the kitchen then came bac out and sat next to him. When she spoke, Blake looked at the door again adn shrugged. "Not sure. The time varies every time it happens," he said, glancing back at her with a small smile. "I'm sorry this had to happen when you came, though," he said softly

Rachel didn't look over at the door when he did, but she lowered her gaze so he didn't feel like she was staring. She nodded at his response, and she looked back up at the picture. When he spoke again, her attention turned to him just as her eyes did. "It's fine really.... Should I go?" She asked, brushing a strand of her hair back behind her ear.
