Once finally finished, Xavier leaned against the counter and glanced at Rachel. "It's Caspian," he said lightly, already sensing why she was wondering why he was quieter when the group was around. There was a reason behind it, but he wouldn't say. Blake knew the reason and had tried to help, but couldn't. Xavier gave a soft shake of his head and looked at her, "long story," he said softly, glancing away as Caspian came back inside to grab some more things. Once he was back outside, Xavier looked back at her.

His voice startled her, but she wasn't disgruntled. It pleased her to hear his voice. He spoke the man's name, but she didn't connect. 'I don't-" she stopped when he said more, and she shook her head afterwards. She wasn't understanding, and that bothered her. The door creaked and she stopped, watching as Caspian moved about and then left. She noticed how Xavier seemed to freeze and then thaw as the boy appeared and then disappeared. She sighed softly and shook her head, pulling herself to sit on the very edge of the counter. "I see" she lied, blatantly. How would she ever understand this man?

Xavier looked at Rachel as she sat on the counter and shook his head. "It's not good to lie, you know," he said lightly, and gave a light shake of his head. "And, I mean why i'm quieter with the group. It's Caspian," he said with a cock of his head. His honey brown eyes watched the girl. Suddenly, the sound of someone falling down the stairs cam to him and he looked over. A moment later, Blake was sprawled on the ground, glaring up the stairs. "Markus, you ass hole!" he growled, pushing himself to his feet and brushing himself off. Both Xavier and Blake knew later tonight he was going to have one massive headache from that. He was just lucky he didn't hit his head on the walls.

Rachel's features hardened in confusion, and her lips parted to speak.
Crash
She jumped in surprise, and almost fell from her perch on the counter. She slid down as though she intended to, and frowned over at the rowdy boys. Her eyes flickered as she rolled them, then turned around. The girl's light blue eyes danced about the kitchen, taking in each and every detail. Something to distract her, she told herself. Something told her she should call Louis, but he didn't seem up to being with her at the moment. A strange feeling manifested in her stomach, and she moved her arm around her waist. It was a slow, relaxed movement, and she hoped no one would notice.

Xavier glanced at Rachel for a moment and then looked away with a slight sigh. A moment later, Blake bounded over to them and lent against the counter, next to Rachel. Blake had noticed and he looked at her with a curious look on his face. "what's up, Rach?" he asked with a smile. Generally, a normal person wouldn't be so chipper after falling down 2 flights of stairs, but then again, Blake wasn't normal. Xavier looked at the two of them and he watched them for a moment, waiting to see if Rachel would respond.

Rachel started at the sound of Blake's voice, and her eyes fluttered to his. She frowned and shook her head. "Nothing, why?" she answered, and then snuck a look to Xavier. Her eyes then found the floor and she leaned back agaisnt the counter. "So.. what now?" she asked, hoping to change the subject.

Blake gave a light shrug to her replya dn moment of silence passed between before she spoke and he grinned. "Koiya and Markus are calling everyone to come over in an hour. Soon, my friend. Soon everything will become crazy," he said and laughed. Xavier shook his head lightly at blake's antics and Blake just grinned.

Rachel was unsure about the crazy side of his words, but she decided it was just her boring side. She needed a little crazy, after all. Rachel grinned like a fool and looked up at Blake, who, only now that she truly looked at him, was quite tall and handsome. The thought surprised her, and she kept herself from blushing. Rachel looked back over at Xavier, and tucked a strand of her brown hair. In the strange light of the kitchen it seemed to have a reddish tint to it. She nodded, and pushed herself away from the counter. Her eyes swept around the room to make sure things were in order, and she grinned again. "I'm looking forward to it," she said, then crossed her arms and leaned back on her heels.

"So you better," was all Blake said to her words.

2 hours later, people were everywhere. Out the back, in the pool, dancing an chatting. Some even openly pashing on the couches. Half drunk cns and bottles were all over the places and plastic cups littered the floor. Koiya, Markus and Caspian were outside having fun in the pool, Xavier, as usual, was just standing in a corner. Blake, however, was dancing, his shirt discarded on the ground, which showed just how well built the guy was. His piercing blue eyes swept over the dancefloor before searching for Rachel or Xavier before he continued his dancing with some of the girls and guys of the town.

Rachel let a small giggle slip and her eyes turned to his before she moved off to look around a bit before the people came.

She managed to remain somewhat calm when the intrusion began. It was a little too much for her at first, so she left the house for the fresh air of the backyard. Soon, though, they had flooded towards the pool and yard areas as well. Deciding that it was too risky, she moved into the home again and looked around for a familiar face, or at least someone who looked relatively amiable.

Blake noticed Rachel come back inside and he quickly excused himself from the dancing groups and went over to her. He gave a wide smile as he looked down at her. "Different from last nights party?" he asked. Which, it was. Parties at Blake's always were more wild. Always had more people swarming to join. He noticed her look and he frowned. "It's not too much, is it? I can send some people home, if you want that," he said, watching the small female infront of him.

Rachel felt lost as she looked around. For a moment, she felt surprisingly vulnerable. At last, though, she caught sight of an approaching Blake. She couldn't stifle the sigh of relief, and offered him a small smile. Her head gradually tilted upwards as he grew closer, his bulky frame contrasting with her slender one. He spoke, and she shook her head quickly. "No!" she said with a small laugh. "No, it's fine really. I just... Thought I heard my name," she lied, trying to explain why she had been searching the room. Her eyes split from his and she glanced back into the kitchen, and moved towards the room they were in. Xavier leaned in a small alcove. Her eyebrows quivered as though she had to focus on keeping them from furrowing, then she beamed a smile back at Blake.

Blake didn't believe Rachel's words. Nobody knew her here, except the group and only he and Xavier were inside. And, well, Xavier never said much, let alone call out someone's name loud enough for them to hear. However, he was gracious enough not to say anything. Blake watched as she looked over at Xavier for a short while before looking back at him and smiling. He smiled back and then glanced at the people dancing. "You can go dance, if you want. Everyone's pretty fun here," he said with a grin.

Rachel felt her cheeks warm and she hoped he wouldn't notice. "Oh, no..." she paused to laugh softly. "I don't dance," she added with a small smile and a shrug. Her hands felt their way to her pockets and she slid them inside. The music was loud, but not painfully. It was just strong enough that she could feel it in her feet, and it made her heart beat a little quicker.

Blake noticed her blush and he couldn't help grin. Which widened at her words. "Oh, that's fine. Is there anything you would like to do? There area few things upstairs you could do. There's a pool room. And as pool cues and stuff, not an actual indoor pool," he said with a light laugh. A few moments later, some girls draged him back to the dancefloor and he grumbled something under his breath before talking t them for a moment and going back over to Rachel. "Uh, sorry 'bout that," he said sheepishly.

Rachel, glad he hadn't insisted that she danced, nodded. She didn't feel like going upstairs and finding someone to play pool with, and his mention of an indoor pool made her tense slightly. She just nodded again, like a fool. "Well.. What do you usually-" she started, but turned her eyes to a few girls who grabbed him insistently. Her eyes narrowed slightly, and for some reason she felt angry and jealous. When he returned, she shrugged stiffly. "It's alright," she said and smiled small. "I think I'm going to go back outside for a little bit.." she said and looked away for a moment.

Blake's grin turned to a soft frown at her words adn then smiled. "Alright, then. Just take it easy, and if you have any problems, just come find me, 'kay?" he said with a smile before he was called over by some guys. He glanced at Rachel before he gave a soft smile and walked over to them, one who gave a light, playful punch to his bare chest. Blake laughed slightly and glanced back over at Rachel to see if she was still voer there, or had gone outside already.

Rachel looked up at him, trying to ignore his bare chest. She nodded "Yea sure, thanks," she said sweetly. Her hand came up to her forehead and she brushed her hair back behind her ear. He walked off, and she lingered for a moment. Her eyes followed him to a group of guys, then she turned and walked towards the yard. Rachel pushed open the screen door and let it shut on its own accord. After all, it was so loud that no one would hear if it slammed. Her lungs greedily sucked in the fresh, crisp night air and she strode slowly off the porch and into the grass.

Not seeing Rachel where she had been, Blake sighed before he moved his attention onto the boys. Xavier pushed himself off the wall and went and grabbed a bottle of water before he walked outside and sat of a lawn chair, which was on the opposite end of the yard from the pool. He leaned forward, resting his elbows on his thighs and staring idly at the grass. There was really nothing to do at parties like these.
