Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Eric felt the mattress shift slightly, then felt Leah's arm brush against his as he sat up. His nerves fired up, and where she had touched him, seemed to tingle slightly. Swallowing, he looked over to her, an embarrased smile just barley on his lips. "Yeah." He said hoarsly. "I was probably overeacting, eh? I tend to do that alot. It's just that no one ever means anything to me. They dont mean what they say, and I wanted to make sure you knew I was sorry..."

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah smiled back at him, the random urge to hug him washing over her. She listened to him talk before turning her head and staring at her feet for a moment, then shrugged. Leah turned back to him and hugged him gently. "It's all right. You didn't do anything wrong. I knew where you were coming from, so there's no reason to be embarrassed." Leah reluctantly let go and felt herself blush slightly. Even though he hadn't hugged her back, it'd been nice. Though now she felt like she was just getting random excuses to hold his hand or hug him.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Eric hadn't been expecting a hug. Maybe a slight pat on the back, or a hand on a shoulder, but he didn't mind the hug either. He tentativley patted her back with his free hand, her fresh, flowery shampoo scent making his nose wrinkle slightly, though not in distaste. She pulled away, seemingly a bit embarrased, but he gave her a kind smile. He seemed to be smiling more today, then he had done in... weeks? Months? He couldn't even remember, but suspected that it had been a very long time. And it felt so damn good, that an even deeper smile cascaded across his features, seeming to light up his whole face. And why was he smiling? He had no idea.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah smiled at him, blushing slightly as a smile crossed his face. Without thinking, she said softly, "You know, you should smile more often." Leah folded her hands in her lap and let out a content sigh. She wanted him to stay the night just to get away from his parents, but now after what had happened, she didn't feel like it'd be right. Plus, it'd be extremely awkward. Doing an inward facepalm, Leah cursed herself for being so flimsy around him. It was really odd, honestly. Most relationships built upon the random feeling of attraction didn't last long, but she suddenly found herself wishing it might.

Eric managed a shrug. "Sometimes it's hard to find things to smile about." He said kindly, closing his eyes softly and sitting, tiredly thinking about all of the things that had happened in his life, that you couldn't smile out. He broke out of his trance, and then turned back to Leah.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah was starting to feel more tired, and she looked at the clock beside her bed. It was 10:30. Yawning, Leah laid back and nodded. "I guess you're right. Some things are just not worth smiling about. But you're different. I can't remember the last time I've smiled so much in one day." Leah closed her eyes, but didn't intend to be rude. She was still awake and listening.

"But," Eric pushed himself off of the bed. "I should probably get home." He nudged her softly with his shoulder, and glanced at the clock. He was suprised to see it how late it was.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah sighed and sat up, rubbing her eyes a bit, "Do you really have to go?" Leah opened her eyes and looked up at him. She was still hoping he may decide just to sleep on the couch. She yawned before replying, "You can stay in my bed; I can sleep on the couch. I don't want you going back home if you may get in trouble for coming here." Leah frowned seriously.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Eric shrugged, his lips pursing slightly. "I wont be missed." He said honestly. They wouldn't even know he was missing. Of course, why would they. His door was locked and there was no way they could get in. Even when he was there, he didn't answer when they spoke to him, so there was no way of knowing if he was gone or not.
He looked down at the couch, then onto the bed, and shook his head. "If I stay, I'll sleep on the floor."

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah frowned at him, "You will not!" She protested. "I'm not going to have you waking up with a sore back." Leah sighed and hopped off the bed. "If you aren't going to sleep on the bed, then sleep on the couch. It's comfortable." Leah smiled and poked his shoulder gently. She was hoping he'd stay. But if he did, she'd have to lock the door to her room in case her parents decided to wake her up in the morning (sometimes they did, sometimes they didn't, but she couldn't take the risk). "Pleaseeee?" Leah asked, smiling sweetly. She felt rather ridiculous, but she was tired and thought it best if he went to sleep on the couch, even if it did smell slightly of her cinnamon-y perfume. It didn't smell bad, after all.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Eric didn't like saying no. In fact, he didn't want to leave. Perhaps he could stay. And if he just couldn't sleep (Sometimes he didn't sleep at all during the whole night,) He might leave her a note, stating that he had gone home. After a minute of silence, Eric sighed, and threw up his hands in surrender. "Ok, ok. I'm game, you got me. I'll stay if you want me too." He gave her a tired, kind smile, before slumping against the wall.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah smiled and clapped, handing him one of the many fluffy pillows on her bed, "Here, sleep on the couch," She moved to the closet and got an extra blanket out and handed it to him. "Sleep on the couch, not the floor. If I wake up and you're on the floor, you'll be sorry." Leah smiled before locking the door to her room for precaution and going into the bathroom to wash her teeth before slipping under the covers in her own bed. She yawned and said, "Thanks for staying. I know it's kinda weird, but I don't want you going back home--" she yawned "--if you're only going to get hurt. You gotta stop letting them do that to you..." Leah drifted off without meaning to.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Before Eric had processed what had all happened, Leah was asleep, and he was standing in the middle of the room, holding a fluffy pink pillow. Smiling silently to himself, he walked over to Leah's bed and switched off the light. The room was plunged into blackness, and Eric flipped off his converse, setting them down at the bottom of the couch. He almost swore as he stubbed a toe on her dresser, but held it in and laid down on the couch. A soft, rather good smelling purfume greeted him as he lie down on the couch, his legs hanging off the end. Closing his eyes, he stuffed the pillow under his head. Within minutes, he was fast asleep.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah hardly remembered falling asleep last night when she woke up. It was almost 11:30, and she bolted upright in bed. She nearly had forgotten that Eric was there, when she looked out the window, to see the sunshine illuminating his hair. Her heart skipped a beat and she smiled, then laid back on the bed, staring up at the ceiling, trying to recall what had gone on last night. Nothing exciting, she recalled, and she yawned, rolling over onto her side and staring at Eric for a moment, before a smile slipped across her lips. He looked peaceful when he was sleeping, like he had no troubles.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
A slight frown passed over the sleeping Eric's features, and he shifted slighty, almost falling off of the couch. Within a few minutes, he was almost constantly shifting, and suddenly he snapped awake, bolting upright, his breathing hard, forhead coated in a cold sweat, eyes wide and wild as he looked around the room. His eyes fell onto Leah, and he tried to calm himself down, but the images that played out in his mind didn't stop. He groaned and fell back onto the couch, pulling the blanket over his head as he did so.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah worried a bit when she saw him begin to toss and turn. She swung over the bed, fixing her shirt so it covered her better, she walked over to him and sat down on the floor beside him, staring up at him expectantly. "Are you all right?" She asked, her brows furrowed in worry. He had been so calm for a second, but now he seemed to be sweating and scared shitless. Leah wondered what had brought on the sudden change, but she wouldn't press.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Eric groaned in embarrasment, keeping the blanket securley over his head. Closing his eyes, he felt Leah kneel down next to where he was lying, and he sat up, turning so he was now sitting, facing her. He slipped the blanket off and let if fall to his lap, and nodded, face and lips rather pale. "I'm fine.." He said rather hoarsly, but he then noticed he was rubbing his scars again. Dropping his hands, he gave her a rather forced smile, before standing and rearanging the bean bag couch. He folded the blanket and set it down at the bottom, and then tossed the pillow at Leah, just for grins.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah frowned, "I don't really think you are," Leah said, watching him rearrange things. "Hey!" she called as she narrowly missed catching the pillow, but she laughed either way. She tossed it back onto the bed and stood up to face him. "But seriously, what's wrong?" Leah wanted to know really badly, and she felt bad for prodding, but she was curious now, and he'd looked so sickly for a moment she was afraid he was just going to fall over and die.

Eric sighed deeply and placed his hands on her shoulders. "Seriously, I'm fine." He gave her a slight smile, and nodded. "Thanks for letting me stay." A sudden twist of the door handle made him jump, and turn. It was locked, but someone was persistantly trying to get in.
"Leah!? Is there someone in there with you!?" Eric looked blankly at Leah. "Should I hide?" He whispered, rather humourously.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah felt that his hands on her shoulders was a rather immobilizing position for him and she momentarily freaked, but kept it to herself. Shaking her head, she smiled back at him, "No problem. Any time." Leah jumped, as well, when the doorknob began to be twisted vigorously. "Crap, mind getting into the closet?" Leah, without thinking, ushered him towards the closet door and went to open her room door. As soon as she clicked the lock the door swung open and hit her square in the forehead, sending her flying off her feet. "Ouch, Dad!" Leah cried, rubbing her forehead and getting to her feet.
As soon as she was on her feet, her father started listing a bunch of chores to do, then commented on her appearance in an ugly tone with a very dismissive sneer, and then left the room. Leah was coming down with a huge headache and she'd received a rather large cut on her forehead, so she simply knocked on the closet door to tell Eric it was safe then went into the bathroom to examine the cut.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Eric stumbled into the closet, hiding in the midst of many layers of clothes. He winced as he saw Leah get smacked in the forhead by the door, and made a mental note to never stand in her position when he unlocked a door. He silenly listened to the list of chores Leah had to do, and rolled his eyes. Soon, the door closed, and he stepped out, easily following her to the bathroom. He opened up a few cubbords before he found the washclothes, and wet one under the faucet. Pressing it lightly to her forhead and wiping off the blood, he swallowed.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah sighed slightly as she noted out of the corner of her eye that Eric had come into the room. She didn't expect him to help her, so when she felt the cool washcloth on her forehead she was rather surprised. Leah wasn't exactly sure what to do. She could take the washcloth from him and wipe herself off or just let him do it. Either way, it was odd. She could very faintly feel his breath on her cheeks, and it sent an involuntary shiver down her spine. "T-thanks," Leah managed to say, trying her hardest to look into his eyes without blushing furiously.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
"That's a long list of chores you have to do.." Eric commented, wiping away the blood, and pressing the washcloth against her forhead, waiting untill the bleeding stopped. He didn't really notice thier awkward position, both of them standing rather close to eachother, untill he saw Leah reeling for control, and he stepped back a bit, making sure she didn't feel uncomfortable. It wasn't weird for him, not really, seeing as he was only helping her, nothing more.. That thought made him blush furiously, and he inwardly punched himself.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah sighed, momentarily forgetting that Eric was so close to her. "Yeah, so much for forgetting me. I'm like their personal maid." Leah frowned and noted silently that he'd stepped back. Why? She wasn't sure. Maybe he'd read her expression, maybe it was making him anxious, as well. She wasn't about to ask, though. She didn't mind having somebody look after her for once and clean up her cuts, like her parents had done when she was very, very little girl. "Do you have to do the chores around your house?" Leah asked halfheartedly.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah's light voice broke the silence, the dripping of the faucet ringing in Eric's ears. He looked at her, his dark eyes shining slightly with an unreadable emotion. "I cant come out of my room when I'm home. So, no." His hair was slightly ruffled up around his head, and he ran a hand through it, looking down, before dabbing at the cut, gently.
