Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah sighed heavily before turning on her back and staring up at the ceiling, holding her hands comfortably behind her head. It was really obvious that something was bothering Eric, but he was too stubborn to talk about it. Leah smiled. She didn’t mind the fact that he was exceedingly stubborn—more so than any other person she’d ever met (save Liam), but that was one of his quirks she appreciated about him. She turned her head to look at him, only to see he was talking to Mark. Leah chuckled and turned her head, staring back up at the ceiling, which was quite uneventful.

Eric nodded, before turning away from Mark. Pursing his lips, he made his way slowly back over to their sleeping bags, before he dropped Leah's pillow down on top of her back, throwing his own down and flopping heavilly onto his stomach. Letting his face fall into the soft padding, he let his hands rest on the back of his head.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah smiled gently and moved the pillow up to her head, and she situated herself on her side again, staring at Eric with keen interest. “Eric, really,” she said, “I know you may not…well, trust me as much as you used to, but you can still tell me anything. I’m always going to listen to you, you know. No matter the situation.” Leah smiled weakly, staring at him intently. He seemed…either depressed or worried or confused or nervous about something. There were a lot of options, and Leah let out a heavy sigh.

Eric tugged on the zipper of the sleeping bag, quickly sliding into it and positioning the clean pillow under his head. The lights in the room were dim, and his eyes were tired with sleep. Closing them, he buried his face in the pillow and shook his head. Warm and tired, he wasn't about to say anything else tonight. "Goodnight Leah."

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah sighed heavily and shook her head. He was—she was sure of it now—the most stubborn person she’d ever met. Smiling quietly to herself, she turned onto her other side, glancing quickly to find Mark, curious suddenly as to what they’d been talking about, before yawning and closing her eyes. Sleep found her quicker than she’d intended, but it was welcome, and soon she was shrouded in the pleasant darkness that fills one’s mind, the fluffy visions of dreams slowly seeping into her imagination.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Eric was dead tired, his eyes closed. But it was the kind of tired that lets you have no rest, nags at you until you give in to a night of tossing and turning. Anything, anything but that was welcome. Eric wouldn't be able to function the next day without sleep, and he felt his mind racing, though his body yearned for sleep, yearned for rest. Shaking his head, he closed his eyes yet again, but he couldn't sleep. A throbbing headache was starting in his temples, and he tossed, turning over and placing his hands on his forhead. Looking over, he saw that Leah was peacefully asleep, and sighed.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah was completely unaware of Eric’s struggles to sleep. Her mind drifted from one dream to another, none of them consisting of the nightmares she used to have. Leah’s conscience nagged at her, however, whenever her dream was too good to be real, and it died away. Most people who had good dreams were able to hold onto them, but it seemed as though Leah’s conscience was forcing away any good thoughts and replacing them with mellow ones. Through it all, though, Leah didn’t stir. Not even once.

After what seemed like hours of useless tossing and turning, Eric slapped his fists down onto the sleeping bag and sat upright. His eyes were bloodshot and red from lack of sleep, and he had to constantly blink to keep them from burning and itching. Clenching his hands into fists, he gazed about the room. Really, there were quite a few people up, and some were conversing softly with eachother. Eric decided he had nothing else to do, and after glancing at Leah once, he crawled out of his sleeping bag and stood up, stretching once before heading over to the small group.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah heard noises beside her, and her brain stirred slightly, and she opened one eye, only to see Eric walking towards a group of others who were already awake. Keeping herself quiet and not moving a muscle, Leah watched him walk away. She wondered if he’d gotten any sleep at all. He looked tired. Just by the way he carried himself, she could tell he was simply exhausted, and it was obvious to her now that sleep had not found him. Rolling over onto her other side, staring at Eric’s now-vacated sleeping bag, she began to wonder what he’d thought about when he was awake. If Mark were awake, hopefully the friends would converse. Shrugging it off, Leah closed her eyes, and it didn’t take long for sleep to envelop her once more.

Four heards glanced upwards as Eric neared them, and Eric gave a tentative smile. He didn't know any of these people, and glanced over to Mark's cot. He was sleeping, of course, his mouth open slightly. Snores emitted from his throat, and Eric grimaced before turning back to the small group. He was greeted with friendly smiles, and Eric sat down near them.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
[ okeedokes. You okay? ]
Leah’s sleep, this time, was a bit less peaceful. Not that the environment she’d fallen asleep in was uncomfortable, but her dreams, ever since she’d seen the dark room with the people in it, something seemed….well…off. Her dreams tormented her, and if she’d been in a regular bed, she would’ve been tossing and turning uncontrollably. At a climax in one of the worst dream’s she’d had in ages, Leah’s eyes flew open, and her heart was pounding madly enough that she could hear it in her ears. She pushed herself upright and took in a shaky breath, holding her head in her hands and trying to get a hold of herself.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
After a subtle chat with a few others, Eric had made his way back to his sleeping bag. Leah was still sleeping peacefully, and he shook his head. Slumping down onto the bag, he flopped onto his stomach. It was actually quite warm in here, and he quickly pulled off his sweatshirt, throwing it to the side. A sudden gasp from beside him made him bolt upright, his eyes wild. Whipping his head to the side, he saw that Leah was sitting up, her head in her hands. Frowning slightly, Eric manuvered closer to her and placed his hand on her shoulder. "You...You ok?"

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah pulled away instinctively, looking up. When she saw it was Eric, she said, “Oh, it’s you,” she sounded relieved, then just shrugged. “I’m fine.” Leah said, but she didn’t make any move to lie back down. Instead, she rested her chin in the palm of her hand, and stared around the room. After a few minutes of staring at nothing, Leah sighed heavily and lay back down on the pillow, but she knew she wasn’t going to be able to go back to sleep anytime soon.

Eric frowned slightly, his eyes deep and unreadable. "Yeah, of course its me..." He trailed off, not knowing what to say. She didn't lie back down, and Eric removed his hand from her shoulder, shrugging slightly. "Ok." Shaking his head, he lay back on his pillow and stared at the celing, his lips pursed slightly.
