"Don't you agree someone would wonder what happened to me if I never reuturned from my task? And if I go back alone, who is to say I won't be punished severely?"

Rowan~ I come back a few minutes later, holding a cleaned rabbit carcass. I come in and start a small fire.

I smile small when he comes in and lean my head against the cave wall. I look abck outside and notice it stopped raining. I smile.

I smile, cooking the rabbit. I trun to look out the cave, noticing the rain had stopped.

"That was odd..." I say, thinking about Iliana.
"I wonder what she'll do?" I wonder aloud.

I watch her and sigh softly.
"No idea," I say, my voice trailing off. I stand up from my kneeling position and walk over to her and sit, down near her, thinking silently.

I sigh and lean my head against him, burying my face into his chest slightly. SIlent tears dripped onto to his chest. If only he knew...

Rowan~

I lay a hand softly against the small of her back and move a little closer to her. I close my eyes for a brief instant and manage to force a smile out. It was small adn disappeared quickly, but no matter. I sigh softly, lost in my own thoughts, and for the first time that day, I actually felt sad.

[sure, sounds good. Lol, my Mom bought the book Dear John, and I just finished it. It looks really different than what the movie will be XD]

Avamir~

I angle my head up slightly to look at him. Why did Life and Love always have to be so hard? I wonder dryly to myself, and as I think back, I can't help a new stream of tears from flooding my eyes, and angle my head back into his chest so he won't see me cry.

[lol, I know right? I've had that book for awhile and its one of my favorites! I can't wait to see the movie... Wanna make their story seem kinda like that, but not directly?]

Rowan~

I realize she is crying and pull away from the shadows of my mind to touch her head slightly.
"What is it?" I ask softly. I immediately felt a shred of shame. I was going to leave soon, afterall, and if she was already sad, then how would she get through later on? I loved her, I knew that, but I knew what the army did to couples. I had been in it long enough, trying to escape my old life. I had seen it happen over and over again, and it was never pleasant for thsoe involved. I sigh againa dn trail my fingers through her hair, thinking how I would tell her.
"Avamir..." The word escaped from my lips before I could think, pull it back, or anything Before I could stop it the rest came flooding out. "I'm leaving." Avamir... Such a beautiful name, the word RoseHeart in our native language. I sigh and move my body slightly away from her and stand up, walking over to the rabbit that cooked on the spit by the fire, a lump of guilt forming in my throat.

Avamir~

I shake my head.
"No, of course there isn't, I'm fine," I say, wiping the tears from my eyes. I became lsot in my thoughts for awhile, battling over my fears and other emotions. THen I hear him speak again.
"What?" I ask. What did he mean? I think to myself, and move away slightly when he stands up. I alos stand adn follow him.
"What do you mean?" I ask tentatively, unsure if this was the better or worst thing that was happening to me.

I sigh softly and turn to face her.
"I mean that I have to go fight in the army, within the month," I say, watching her with a pained expression. I drop my gaze back down to the rabbit on the spit. The wind blew my hair into my eyes and I tossed my head to get rid of the bangs, watching her out of the corner of my eyes.
