Avamir~

I smile small, standing up and walking around for a few minutes. I gaze out of the cave to the gray sheets of rain pouring down. I loved rain, but it was cold out, and right now it wasn't worth it to stand out with my head and arms heavenward, letting it rinse away all my worries and troubles for a few moments of peaceful bliss. I went to the back of the cave and set my pack down, lying in the thicker grass, my back to the wall. I realize suddenly how tired I am, and my eyes slide closed, and I fall into a light sleep.

Rowan~ I smile back and watch her for a few minutes. After she falls asleep, I sit up against the cave wall near her, my eyes closing as I fell asleep.

*Around dawn, still dark out...*

Avamir~ Still sleeping, deeper now.

Iliana~ I walk around the woods quietly, my bare feet silent. I reach up to touch the silver locket around my neck. A slight breeze comes, twirling my ankle bracelts around my feet, still making no noise. I see a cave up ahead and venture closer, my silver eyes curious yet wary as I realized to Elves were inside.

Rowan~
I hear someoe's footsteps and peer out into the darkness, unable to see anything through the rain, and I frown slightly, sure I hadn't heard anything.

Iliana~ I stand outside the cave, watching the male, and my eyes slide further into the cave, and my eyes boggle when I see who the female is.

I frown again.
"Who's there?" I call out into the misty rain.

Avamir~ I wake up at the sound of Rowan's voice and scoot closer to him.
"What is it?" I ask.

Iliana~ I alk into the cave, my head high, my eyes wary and cautious.

Rowan~
"I don't know..." I say as Avamir comes closer. Then I see the girl step into the cave.
"Who are you?" I ask, noticing she was staring at Avamir.

Iliana~
"I am Iliana, Werecat and Protector of Chief James, Brother to King Joshua the Third. And I have been sent to find you," I say, pointing to Avamir, not letting my eyes stray from her.

Avamir~
I look a little shocked.
"What?" I ask in disbelief.

Iliana~
I raise my elegant eyebrows.
"You. Have. To. Come. With. Me," I say slowly.

I stand up.

Iliana~
I look at him in what could have been shock over my cool mask that all Werevats had.
"Let's see... One, her father is the brother of a king. Two, her father wants her to come back. Three, this is hardly a good place for someone like her to live in," I say, ticking the numbers off on my fingers.
"Anything else you would like to know?"

I glare at the Werecat, hate sparkling in my eyes. A low hiss escaped through my clenched jaw.

Iliana~
I smirk at him.
"Go on. Try to fight back. I dare you," I say tauntingly.

Avamir~
I study Iliana closely.
"I know you..." I murmur softly.

Iliana~
I turn my gaze back to Avamir and smile gently, forgetting about the male just then.
"Of course you know me. We used to play together when you were really young," I say, smilin again. I could be nice to her; she had been my friend. But not to the boy with her.

I jump up and grab his arm, trying to hold him back.
"Stop, please," I beg to both of them.

Rowan~
I turn to face her and wrap my arms around her, pulling her body closer to mine, then turn to look back at the girl, her body framed by the mist and rain behind her. Water dripped from her hair, and she held herself with poise, beauty, confidence, and grace. I could tell that somewhere, beneath the hardness of her duties, she really did care about Avamir. My mind races, trying to think of some way I could convince the girl to let Avamir go.
"Would you take her away if she was happy?" I ask quietly, knowing this was my only chance.
"If she was happy here, and did not wish to go back?"

I think about it for a moment.
"No, I wouldn't..." I say warily, wondering what he was getting at.

Avamir~
I look confused, and look up at him, tracing the perfectness of his eyes, his high cheek bone, and the line of his jaw.

I smile down at her, trailing my fingers down her jaw line. I bend down and kiss her cheek softly the turn to look back at Iliana.
"So will you still take her?" I ask innocently.

I watch him, now understanding what he was doing.

I shrug.
"I'm sure her father wouldn't want her with a hermit living in the woods," I say with a smirk.

Somehow I manage to keep my face cool.
"I am Rowan, Prince of Leah and monarch to the throne of Leah after my father is gone. Why could she not be with me?" I ask, my voice dangerously cool still.
