Re: A Millennia of Memories [ Spritzie-kun ]
Grace frowned slightly and turned her gaze away from him, staring at her feet. She'd already started drowning out the morbid and disgusting sounds coming from the bedrom outside. She shrugged slightly, not knowing how to answer his question without being overly blunt about it. The answer in truth was quite simple, and it shouldn't have been hard to answer, but Grace wondered if it was even a good idea to tell him. She wasn't sure he knew that she was a ghost yet. He probably did, considering she'd said she'd been in here for a millennia.
Though the fact that he could touch her may mix him up a bit. Most ghosts were untouchable to humans. Grace sighed and spoke up finally, "Well, I don't know," she said, but she knew the tiny details. "To be completely blunt about it... I died. That's how I got in here. I don't know what kept me from the afterlife. I suspect it has something to do with leaving my newborn child to fend for herself. It wasn't my fault, though. People don't get to choose whether they are murdered or not." Grace said the last part rather sourly.

Colton's bright blue eyes moved from Grace's face, to look around the vast expanse that was spread out in front of them. It was quiet here, exept for the groutesque sounds that were filtering through the mirrors surface. Trying to block them out, he tried to focus his attention back onto grace, rather than whatever else was resuming outside. When she started to speak, her voice captivated him, Colton's eyes looking at her face. She seemed slightly saddened, and when she said she didn't know, he almost objected. Of course she knew- that was obvious.
"You had.... had a baby!?"
Colton looked at grace, a frown crossed over his features. How old was she, seventeen!? Had she been raped!? Colton didn't want to pry, as he knew it was a tender subject that was better to be left alone. "At seventeen?" The boy shook his head, feeling suddenly awkward about the whole topic. Running a hand through his shaggy hair, he averted his eyes away from her and winced slightly, his face twisted into a sorrowful expression. When she also stated that she had been murdered, his face paled slightly. He didn't have anything to say to that, so stayed silent for a few moments, the two of them both in deep thought.

Re: A Millennia of Memories [ Spritzie-kun ]
Grace turned her head and searched his expression a moment. He seemed confused, maybe even slightly conflicted by his own thoughts. When he asked if she'd been seventeen, she nodded slowly. It was her turn to be confused. "When I was alive, women got married much sooner. I was married to Ty when I was fifteen. Then there was the year of purity, and then came...well, the baby." Grace shrugged slightly, turning her head out the window, the dresser not visible from where she was sitting.
"That ring you found? That was Ty's." Grace sighed heavily, allowing their conversation to drop into a hollow pit of thought. She wondered why she'd opened up to Colton so easily like he had. She guessed it was because she'd been in here for so long, keeping her past and her memories to herself. Honestly, she felt good telling somebody, even though it wasn't the most pleasant past. Grace's expression dampened when she remember the last thing she'd ever seen: her baby sleeping idly in the cradle; peaceful, oblivious to the rest of the world. Grace sucked in a breath and shook her head.

The teen frowned, shaking his head slightly. He slipped his hands into his pockets, standing near Grace's side. A few seconds passed in silence, the beautiful galaxies of stars twinkling around them. It was calm and peaceful now, and he turned his eyes back to Grace, his eyes lucid and understanding, despite himself. Cocking his head to one side, he bit his lower lip before hearing Grace's soft voice start to speak once again. He listened intently, before frowning and seriously wondering what age she had been in. "Fifteen?" He raised an eyebrow, nearly finding it hard to believe her. Either way, he didn't say anything, and nearly glanced back to the mirror when she said that the ring had been her fiance's. Looking down and away from her face, he didn't speak. "I'm... I'm sorry."

Re: A Millennia of Memories [ Spritzie-kun ]
Grace shrugged and frowned, staring at him, rather confused. "Yeah, fifteen. It's not abnormal for me. My friend married at thirteen." Grace shrugged again, twirling a lock of her hair on her index finger, staring at it with keen interest. Suddenly curious, Grace piped up again, "Is it not normal for women in this age to get married at that age? It seems weird they'd get married any earlier." Grace commented, obviously misunderstanding the whole thing.
When he apologized, she cocked an eyebrow and stared at him, once again confused. This whole conversation was boggling with her mind, and she was getting lost easily. "Wait..." Grace said, "What is there to be sorry for? I don't see that you did anything wrong..." Grace smiled slightly, her gaze softening slightly, and she turned back, staring at the twinkling stars. "It's been beautiful ever since you've come here... I don't know what it was, but I'm guessing the choker... None of the stars used to twinkle, and there weren't any shooting stars," she said, nodding towards a rapidly falling shooting star.
"Even this constellation was dormant. It's amazing the effect you've had on the place," Grace sighed, "But I guess I should focus more on getting you out of here. You're alive, I'm not. You won't last as long with no food. Or water. I don't need anything to survive, really. Simply air to breathe. So.. I'll get thinking, I guess." Grace got up and floated over to the glass edge of the mirror, checking out where the black hole had left a tiny dent. "Hmm... the black hole left a dent. Maybe if you touch the mirror again...?" A loud moan came from outside the mirror, and Grace winced. "Well, after those people....move..."

Colton held in a scoffing laugh, shaking his head. She thought they married younger!? A grin tugged at the corners of his lips, but he just ran a hand through his dark hair and looked away from her, jutting his jaw to the side and hoping he wouldn't say anything that would be offensive to her. He didn't know what she was used to, and didn't want to accidentally insult her by saying the wrong thing. "We..." He trailed off, shaking his head yet again. "We get married when we're about twenty, on average." He gave her a lopsided smile, his lucid blue eyes drawn to her face. She seemed to be so calm right now, a slight smile touching her pink lips.
"I'm sorry... For everything that happened to you..."
Colton's eyes fell away from her face, as he wasn't able to look her in the eye. Grace turned away from him, her gaze falling to the galaxies that stretched out into the far distance, the black abiss lit up with the twinkling stars.
Looking up, he blinked as a large star plummeted past, its searing heat not effecting Colton. He wondered what was really happening, but his eyes darted back to Grace's face when she spoke again. He didn't like the fact that he had changed the place; in fact he wasn't sure if it was for the better. If this mirror- this place reacted to him in such a strong manner, he wondered what would happen if he made a mistake while trying to get Grace and himself back out of the mirror. What if he had the ability to kill her, or himself!? Grace suddenly stood, looking back to the mirror behind them. It was merley a small, glittering square in the abyiss, a trail of perfect stars leading to it. The girl pushed past him, the silken strands of her hair brushing against Coltons forearm. He didn't bother to follow, but as she looked over the mirror once again, he turned away from her and shook his head.
What she said was right; it was beautiful. The clusters of stars and nebulas gently churned in slow, shining circles, every hue and color lit up that was ever known to man, and more. Rays of pink and gold were cast out of many of the stars, lighting up the teens face and highlighting his rough features. His eyes looked straight ahead, his body relaxed and seeming to melt into the heavy blackness that suspended him gently.

Re: A Millennia of Memories [ Spritzie-kun ]
Grace stared at him, brow furrowed. "Twenty? You must be old," Grace commented before turning back to the surface of the mirror, staring out at the ring of Ty's that was just visible on the dresser. The noises outside were slowly escalating, and she shook her head, turning away from the mirror and looking around. She caught a shooting star in her hand, then looked up at Colton as he apologized for the millionth time today. He wasn't apologizing straight out, though. He was sorry about what happened to her.... And what was that? Grace didn't understand completely, but she decided to let it go.
"It's not your falt. You didn't do anything. I'm sorry that I got you stuck in here." As soon as the noise outside receded, she turned and looked outside, glad to see the couple leaving, though they were still in the process of getting their clothes on. She winced. "Well, they're gone now. So why don't you try---" Grace froze as she saw Ty's ring was missing. "They took it!" Grace shrieked.

"Old!?"
Colton chuckled slightly, raising an eyebrow. He gave a slight shake of his head, the movement making his honey brown hair fall down over his forhead and into his eyes. "I dont think so. I'm only eighteen; so not even close." He gave her one of his most quirky grins, now feeling slightly at ease. Being angry that he was stuck here didn't help him get out, but he supposed that staying calm was the best thing to do at the moment.
The teen couldn't help but wince as the noises from the mirror grew loud and sloppy, and he narrowed his eyes and turned his back to the frame. Looking up, he saw Grace gently reach into the air, her slender hand coressing a tender glowing light. The tiny star was just small enough to be held, and it almost looked like it was alive, the light dancing. It started to glow brighter as Colton stepped forward, but he moved away from it as soon as he saw the effect he had on the star. It dimmed with his passing, but soon Grace spoke again.
Colton glanced back to the mirror, catching a breif flash of skin and again, grimacing. Soon, the couple left the room, their noises starting to grow fainter before finally subsiding all together. The faint whisper of a warm breeze corressed the silence around them, but that was the only sound. Suddenly, Grace burst into a loud cry, and Colton's gaze whipped back so he was facing her. "What!?" When she exclaimed they had taken the ring, he whirled around, his eyes landing on the dresser top. Sure enough, the gem was gone. With quick and nimble movements, he leapt down off of the galaxy, no longer afraid of falling into the abiyss below. As he neared the mirror, the surface started to quiver and shake, before making him stop and eye it carefully.

Re: A Millennia of Memories [ Spritzie-kun ]
Grace turned when she heard Colton coming down from the galaxy. She let go of the star and let it finish its descent, which didn't take very long. She rested her palms flalty against the surface of the mirror, her heart clenching painfully. She shook her head, frowning momentarily as she felt the surface of the mirror shaking, and looked back at Colton. Suddenly she retreated back beside him and nodded towards the mirror's surface.
"Maybe you can try to get out now," she murmured, forgetting about the ring. "You don't have to look for Ty's ring; just get out of here." Grace motioned halfheartedly towards the surface of the mirror before turning and walking back to Skylark. "I'll be fine. It's not like I could touch Ty's ring anymore. Staring at it will only bring back sad memories." Grace shook her head again, sitting on the edge of the galaxy.

Re: A Millennia of Memories [ Spritzie-kun ]
Colton stared at the mirror, his blue eyes lucid in its reflection. The surface quavered and shook with his presence, looking like ripples across water's surface. The boy wondered if this was the way out after all, if he had the ability to get Grace and himself out. If she hadn't been able to get out for over a millienia, someone else had to hold the key to her escape. The teen hoped that it wasn't him, but he was very sure that it was. The tight choker around his neck throbbed slightly, the black leather pressing into the smooth, tanned skin of his neck. He very slowly raised a finger, pressing it to the mirrors surface with a bit of hesitance. Instead of feeling cold glass, his finger slipped through the mirror as if it was water.
He was very startled, nearly wrenching his hand free. A sudden pull of gravity began to claim his arm, pulling him closer to the mirror. He tried to pull back, but was violently sucked deeper towards it. The stiff, nearly lifeless air of the galaxies condensed around his body, picking up speed. A high whistling sound could be heard in the air, the galaxies starting to pulse and churn, the stars growing brighter and twinkling in all hues of colors.
"Grace!"
Colton's head snapped to the side, his blue eyes shining intensely. He spotted her sitting on the galaxy, far away from him and looking deep in thought. The pain from coming into the mirror was no longer there, but he was slowly starting to get sucked into its surface. Half of his body was already sunken through it, and his eyes were desperate. "Grace! This is your chance!" Suddenly, a roaring sound filled his ears, blocking his hearing. Even if she had said something, he couldn't hear it, not now. He slipped into the mirror, and was suddenly hammered back and forth, again bouncing against invisable barriers that made him cry out in pain. He curled into a slight fetal position, grabbing his head and trying to protect himself. Seconds of the cruel torcher passed, before he was flung from the abiyss and onto the dusty floor of the bedroom.

Re: A Millennia of Memories [ Spritzie-kun ]
Grace had just turned her head to see what Colton was talking about, when she saw him suddenly disappear. It was a good minute or so before he reappeared on the other side of the mirror. He'd yelled something inaudible to her before he'd crossed into the other side, but she hadn't caugh it. She jumped to her feet and danced upon the stars, propelling herself downwards towards the surface of the mirror.
Grace stared at him from her side of the mirror, her heart torn between disappointment and sadness and happiness and satisfaction. "You got out!" she cried, a smile plastered on her face, though her heart was torn. She wished she could get out. Suddenly, her smile faded, "You're free..." she said, though her voice was low and barely audible. She shook her head, trying to feel good for him.
"Go ahead, I'm sure your hungry and tired and ready to get out of here. You don't have to return. I'm sure your parents will be wondering where you are...." Grace smiled weakly, trying to sound happy for him, but her expression and her tone-of-voice utterly betrayed the confidence she'd been trying to insert into her words. She wanted nothing more than for her wrong to be righted, but she felt bad now that he was gone.
It was a selfish desire of hers, and she found it easily to push away. After all, she'd been in here a millennia already, right? Couldn't she wait another one? She had half the mind to tell him to go and have a good life, have children and find a happy marriage, and maybe, just maybe, his son could come or his daughter could come and rescue her once and for all. But yet again, that was too selfish for her liking. Grace rested her head on the frame of the mirror, which was vibrating slightly from Colton's close proximity. "Go ahead," she said, motioning with her hand, "The door's that way." She smiled reassuringly.

Re: A Millennia of Memories [ Spritzie-kun ]
Colton opened his eyes, his body aching with pain. As he glanced upwards, he caught a slight reflection of himself in the mirror and stiffened, a large gash across his cheek, running from under his eye, down to his jaw line. He quickly pressed a hand to the wound, but found that it wasn't bleeding anymore; though he did have blood over his chest.
Wondering what had happened to cause him to get hurt, he frowned and glanced up, his body lying sprawled on the dirty, dusty floor. His skin was coated with dirt, and he grunted as he slowly pushed himself into a sitting position, his elbows pressing into the wood. He shook his head, trying to clear his foggy brain before he glanced up to the mirror, hearing Grace's quiet voice. Immedietly, Colton noted the keen disapointment, and how she was trying to cover it up. He gave a harsh shake of his head; his lucid blue eyes staring directly into Grace's, the intensity showing clearly.
"I'm going to get you out of here. Even if I get killed in the process."
Colton knew that this was something he needed to do, needed to finish. He wouldn't be able to leave her here, a strong sense of indignation welling up inside of him. There was no way he could get her out when he was out of the mirror, Colton was pretty sure. Unless he was inside... Then he could possibly take her out with him. Still, the teen wasn't sure if he could handle another trip inside the other dimention, as his own body might not hold up as well as he would have hoped.

Re: A Millennia of Memories [ Spritzie-kun ]
Grace looked at the gash on his cheek. She bit her lip; she felt awful. When he said he would die to get her out of the mirror of hers. She shook her head and stopped chewing on her lip. It wasn't normal for a guy to say that! 'Oh, I'll die to get you out of here!' That's not something Grace was used to hearing. She didn't think she was worth saving. She was dead, after all. So what was the big fuss?
Suddenly, Grace shook her head vigorously, "You have a family," Grace commented in a quiet voice, "You have friends. You have a life--and I mean that literally." Grace smiled weakly, turning away from him. She dismissed him with wave of her hand and began walking back slowly towards Skylark. She smiled to herself weakly. She was happy he was out.
Grace chuckled to herself glumly, "It was nice meeting you, however. Have a nice....well, life, I guess." Grace turned around and flashed him one last encouraging smile. "Maybe I'll see you in time."

Re: A Millennia of Memories [ Spritzie-kun ]
Slowly pushing himself up off of the dusty floor, Colton rolled his shoulders and winced as a popping noise resounded. Flexing his fingers, he tried to wipe away the blood on his cheek. After checking that he was alright, he glanced upwards and noticed Grace looking intently at him from her position behind the quavering mirror. Though the surface was trembling, the view was clear and unbroken, and the teen could make out the sadness that filled her eyes; the girl trying to disquise it by fake happiness.
He knew that look. That was what he did to get by, cover his loss and emptiness by appearing to be fine, numbing emotions down so they would be less noticable.
She didn't believe him, it was obvious. He looked to the bed, frowning slightly at the mangled sheets and dirty spread. If he could fix it up, get some new bedding, it wouldn't be half bad... Though he would still hate sleeping on it, after he knew what had gone on on it before hand.
"I'm staying here Grace."
Colton's voice was firm, his tone no nonsense. "Dont try and make me change my mind, because It's not going to happen. You think I have a family, a life? Maybe I am alive, but that doesent mean I'm any different than you are."
He gave her a steady glare, his lucid blue eyes intense and sparkling in the filtered sunlight. "And I'm going to get you out of here. It's not fair for somebody to miss out on... everything for so long, to be abandoned and left alone." He gave a shake of his head, and again tried to cover emotions that wanted to seep to the surface. He had been abandoned, left alone, by his own parents. He wasn't cared for; and quite contrary to what Grace had so strongly stated, the 'friends' he had weren't more than street rats that beat up on others.
"You dont know anything about me. Dont assume anything."

He wasn't cared for; and quite contrary to what Grace had so strongly stated, the 'friends' he had weren't more than street rats that beat up on others.
"You dont know anything about me. Dont assume anything."

Re: A Millennia of Memories [ Spritzie-kun ]
Grace shook her head. He was endulging himself in stubborn idiocy. If he tried to get her out, he probably would die, and Grace refused to be responsible for the life of another person. Grace turned away from him and had made her way across the stars, nearly three-fourths of the way towards Skylark, when he said he was staying there. Grace shook her head. he was being completely ridiculous. What made him so...well, edgy? And so bold, daring, and somewhat courteous? She doubted he'd want to sleep on the bed that'd been mixed up in so much love-making it probably indirectly spawned hundreds of babies.
Something in his comment on abandonment struck a nerve with her. She didn't know why, but she felt the need to lash out at him. He obviously didn't understand. Succumbing to her own selfish desires, and whirled around and snapped, "I've been abandoned my whole life, and I've done a fair bit of abandoning myself, even if it wasn't on purpose! When you're murdered, all you know is abandonment!" Grace shook her head, clenching her fists tightly so her knuckles turned white---well, as white as they could get, considering she was dead, and relatively white already.
Grace turned away from him, ignoring his last comment. She was so unhappy now. Grace didn't want him to stay. If he did, she'd feel even more guilty than she already did. She doubted Colton would be able to read her inner emotions. Her emotions were much more indepth than he probably guessed. Since she was a ghost, it was unfairly assumed that she only had a few emotions, when, in truth, she had as many emotions---possibly even more emotions---than any normal human had. She sighed heavily and sat on the edge of Skylark, her back turned to him.
Grace stared at the stars nonchalantly. It was weird. Even though he was no longer in the mirror, the chemical reaction of his presence lingered in the world, and though Skylark no longer churned, and shooting stars no longer fell, the stars were still twinkling, shining and blowing out sometimes, though none of them turned to shooting stars when they burned out. Grace sighed heavily, laying back and staring up above her, the stars and constellations reflecting in her violet eyes. Grace felt a tear trickle down her cheek. She was responsible for this whole mess! And now she felt like she was reeling Colton in to do her own bidding, for completely selfish reasons. After all, what would he get out of saving her? Grace wiped the tear off on the back of her wrist, her mind churning to come up with ideas to dissuade him to just go home.

Re: A Millennia of Memories [ Spritzie-kun ]
Colton glared at her when she shook her head. She was obviously not happy with him, even after he had offered to help her get out of the mirror. Wasn't that what she had wanted in the first place? Hadn't she just been begging him to help her!?
She turned away from him, obviously watching the large spiral galaxy that was no longer visable from his current position. Colton jumped when she suddenly whirled around, her face a mask of anger. "Wha-" The teen boy was quickly inturupted however, and having grace rage at him for trying to help made him cross his arms over his chest and glare at her. Still, when she hd finished speaking, her words struck a minor chord in his heart, making his glare deepen and grow angry. "That's not the way it has to be anymore! And dont you go raging at me about that, I didn't have a choice either! When your very parents throw you in a dumpster when you're a baby, I think I know what abandonment means too!" She turned away from him again, and Colton narrowed his eyes. She started off towards Skylark, slowly fading out of sight as she grew farther away. Now, the mirror was black and empty, though he knew his face was still visable in it, at least to her.
"Dont tell me what to do Grace. An hour ago, you were begging me to stay and help you out of the mirror. Now, I offer to help and you get all bitchy. I dont know what to think. Do you want to stay in the mirror forever? If you do, then I might as well leave right now and never come back." He shook his head, dropping his gaze, before realizing he should continue to speak, even if it was to vent his anger. "I believe you, dont think that I dont. But dont think that were all that different, because we really arent." He pursed his lips, sinking down into a nearby chair and praying it wouldn't break on him. Letting his head fall into his hands, he closed his eyes and drifted into the realm of dreams and thoughts, now ignoring her completley.
(Ugh, I havn't been able to post very good this whole week long. I'm sorry. This is a failure. ):)

Re: A Millennia of Memories [ Spritzie-kun ]
Grace snorted softly. "I don't want your help because I feel bad about getting you into this whole mess in the first place," she said, though she was more inserting the words into his conscience (benefits of being a ghost). "I thought it would be easier. I was being selfish." Grace's tone trailed off, and she remained facing away from him. She kept her mind away from his now, not seeing the need to speak another word. Even if it was for comfort, Grace couldn't speak anymore. So much had happened in such little time.
She felt dreadfully guilty about putting Colton through the pain of coming into and going out of the mirror. She didn't think it'd be painful for him. She didn't want it to be painful for him. The more she thought about her selfishness, the more Grace wished she could just fade from reality; fade into oblivion, regardless if she went to heaven or hell---or disappeared from existance completely. All she wanted was not to feel anything anymore. Even though she was a ghost, she could still feel emotions. And right now? She felt numb on the inside as if she'd been stung by some unknown thing.
Grace chanced a look at Colton, her eyes flickering over her shoulder, but he was out of her view now, and she sighed thickly. She wished he'd just leave. She knew she was being nonsensical. Wanting and pleading and somewhat demanding his help at first, then going off at him when he finally decided he would help her. She shook her head. After what he'd told her about his parents, her guilt only mounted in amazing quantities. Why did she always have to do something wrong?

Colton's stubborn side was well tuned, and he wasn't about to back down from this. Now, more than ever, her protesting had gotten him warmed up to the notion of rescuing a maiden from a cursed mirror... No matter how fairy tale it might seem, it was reality and would have to be done.
"I dont care." He crossed his arms over his bare chest, leaning up leisurly against the wall. His hat, once again was to the side, jaunty just as he was acting. "You cant stop me, and you know that too." He still couldn't see Grace, but he knew she was there, listening to him continue to speak. "You also cant do anything about it. God damn it, I'm getting you out of there no matter what."
He didn't have an answer for why he would be doing such a thing, but his mind was made up; and he wasn't changing it. It was quiet in the room, and he looked around it with a bored expression. "Alright then. First things first, If I'm getting you out, you'll need clothes. Unless..." He frowned. "Unless the ones you wear stick with you, which I'm not so sure of. Perhaps he only said these things to tease her, prod her a bit more, but it couldn't be helped. It was his nature to do so, and he felt as if he deserved better treatment than he was getting from her.

Re: A Millennia of Memories [ Spritzie-kun ]
[ Nah ya didn't ! Don't sayyyy thatttt!! ]
Grace sighed and stared out from Skylark. She had to admit: the boy had more determination that she'd first credited him with. Her bluish-purple hair waved around her in a gentle manner, caressing her torso much like a blanket or shawl. She withdrew herself from everything for a moment to consider their current predicament: she no longer wished for his help after all the trouble she'd put him through, yet he was now thoroughly determined; she wasn't sure it was even possible for her to be released from her mirror prison, but yet again: he was thoroughly (and, quite frankly: stubbornly) determined to figure it out.
His words passed straight through her ears as she stared at the twinkling stars, her mind conjuring up random ideas of how she'd be able to be released, and the fantastical life she'd live once she was out---well, as much as a ghost could "live." The thoughts brought a strange yet unsurprising longing to her heart, and she once again found herself wondering why she no longer wanted Colton's help. Her mind told her no, but her heart told her yes. It was a hugely conflicting matter, and it only upset her more than she already was, which was troubling for her. She hadn't been this confused and worried since...well, ever since she'd been pregnant with her firstborn child.
When he brought up the topic of clothes, however, she frowned. To be honest, she had no idea of whether or not her clothes would transfer with her. Grace's face flushed at the thought of it, and she turned from the mirror's face, just in case Colton would be able to see her reaction to his innocent yet flirtatiously perverse comment. Nevertheless, Grace took it with a grain of salt and replied in playful banter: "You would like that, wouldn't you?" She turned her head back towards the mirror's glossy frame when she felt her face cooled off enough. She pondered the idea a bit more before sighing heavily and saying, "Frankly, I have no clue to even a hint on the...eh...well...clothes..problem."
To her, that sounded awkward, and she grimaced. Males, she snorted to softly to herself.

Re: A Millennia of Memories [ Spritzie-kun ]
While waiting for Grace's slow to come response, Colton amused himself by starting to explore the room. The last time he had been at it, it was because he had been trying to find a few valubles. Now, he was just trying to find something to do with his time while he thought. Striding across the room, the floor boards creaked under his weight. They were old and dusty, and he was slightly warry that they would suddenly break.
Kneeling in front of the dresser, he heard a slight scuffling under it and bent down to check it out. Peering into the dark space, he suddenly yelped and drew back, a harsh hiss emitting from its depths, and the animal drawing back to hide once again. Colton's nose was scratched, blood dripping of the tip. "God damn cat!" Wiping it on his arm, he pressed his fingers to the wound and frowned, before he heard Grace's answer.
He was in a mindset to kick at the dresser, but thought better of it as he heard the cat hiss once again. She was obviously taking shelter here, and he was the one intruding. Shaking his head, he moved back to the mirror. He was no longer scared of it, nor Grace. He moved forward with purpose, drawing close enough to the mirror that the surface trembled and rippled with his presence. He snorted slightly, rolling his eyes. "Ha, yeah. It's a automatic turn on when a girl comes out of a mirror naked." He moved away from the mirror, before leaning up against the wall yet again. "So, should I come in and get you now?"

Re: A Millennia of Memories [ Spritzie-kun ]
Grace heard Colton's shuffling, jumping slightly when she heard the sound of a hissing cat. That was one of the last things she'd expected. Although she had heard that cat there for some time. Not too long ago there were the quiet mews of kittens, but it'd been a couple of months, and Grace didn't know where the kittens had gotten off to, whether they were dead, lost, or somewhere else in the mansion. Grace rolled her eyes at his comment, thinking she noted slight sarcasm in his tone, but she couldn't be completely sure.
When he came in view of the mirror, he was holding his nose with his fingers, and she chuckled. He'd probably gotten a piece of that cat's mind; which she thought he completely deserved. "Men," she muttered to herself, but just loud enough for Colton to catch a wisp of her comment, hopping off of Skylark as she saw the mirror's surface ripple with the presence of Colton's nearness, and stretched. She hopped delicately from twinkling star to twinkling star before reaching the surface of the mirror. She studied the outside world, not able to see Colton anymore, but knowing he was nearby somewhere, for the mirror's surface was vibrating when she touched it.
Shrugging, Grace said in an aloof tone, "It's up to you. I don't see why you have to ask me," Grace stared at the floorboards in front of her, wondering what it'd be like to get out of this damned mirror. In a way, she was scared to come out. She hadn't seen the outside world in so, so long... Grace knew it would've changed dramatically since the time she walked it. She was wary of what it would be like now, and if she'd find herself content in it. Of course, if she got out, she'd not give one thought to returning to the mirror, but that didn't mean she'd leave the mansion. Mind wandering momentarily, Grace ran her fingers over the mirror's surface in an offlandish sort of way.

Re: A Millennia of Memories [ Spritzie-kun ]
"So, I'm going to have to come in, or your going to have to come out. Which is it?" He was struck with a sudden idea, and frowned as he neared the mirror once again. It no longer held his reflection, nor hers. He caught a faint whisp of her comment, and rolled his eyes. Deciding it was better to keep fights down to a minimum between them, he raised his hand and rested it a few inches away from the mirror. It's surface convolted with electric tension, seeming like water. He didn't dare touch it, last time he had been painfully sucked into the mirror without a thought. The whole point of this was to get her out, not him in. "Grab my hand... or at least try to." Colton waited for Grace, his hand steady. Wiping the last remains of blood off of his nose, he frowned at the dresser and waited for Grace to object, or accept his offer. "It's quite simple. Take your hand, see if you can get it through the mirror. Unless you want me to go in and drag you out with me, I advise to go ahead and accept my offer." Grace appeared in front of the mirror, and he gave her a corky grin.

Re: A Millennia of Memories [ Spritzie-kun ]
Grace stared out, the mirror suddenly going blank. She frowned, but only a few moments later did he reappear. The mirror's surface began to ripple quite wildly as he put his hand closer to it, and Grace bit her lip nervously. Never before had somebody had this affect on the mirror, and even though he was trying to help her get out, she was afraid of what it'd be like to go through the mirror. Of course, she wouldn't be in any pain, seeing as she was already dead, but his request for her to reach her hand outside the mirror seemed impossible to her. Never before had she been able to even get so much as a hair out of the mirror, and just because he had some random, crazy affect on the glass made it so she could stick her whole hand out, and then some?
Rolling her eyes, Grace moved a bit closer to the mirror, "You know," she said, putting her hand against the mirror's surface, which tingled to the touch, "I really don't trust you to do this, but at the same time I do. If I was still living, it'd be a whole 'nother story." Grace applied a little pressure to her hand, but as soon as her hand went more than an inch into the mirror, she felt a strange shocking, like that of lightning and she jerked back. "Geez!" She said. How did that happen!? She was a ghost!! Things like that couldn't touch her!
Grace looked up at Colton and frowned, "I have no idea what the hell that was, but it was unpleasant." Grace took a moment and rubbed the palm of her hand, which was buzzing and hurt whenever she flexed her fingers, before placing it on the glass again, ready to start over. She would endure the shock if she had to; she made up her mind. She wanted to get out of this place, no matter how much it cost her.

Re: A Millennia of Memories [ Spritzie-kun ]
Colton waited anxiously, before he glanced out one of the broken windows. It was late afternoon, the sun streaming down into the room and casting long shadows over everything in it. He didn't notice Grace's hesitation, only because he wasn't looking at her pale face. Her words made him jump, as he had been lost in a sea of thoughts- no longer paying attention to what was around him.
"You can trust me.. At least for this. It's the only way, and I know you want to get out of here." He managed to give her a slightly lopsided smile, his brilliant blue eyes twinkling with surpressed humor. "Unless you need me to go get some clothes." Perhaps the last comment had been a failed attempt at a joke, perhaps not. Either way, Grace started nearing her fingers to the mirror's surface, before they touched. Both the girl and Colton were rewarded with a harsh electric shock, Colton getting the brunt of it. He staggered backwards, tripping over the damn stool and falling harshly onto his backside. He rubbed his fingers, a frown over his face. "That hurt, Damn it!"
Swearing, he managed to push himself up and back to the mirror once again. Grace was also rubbing her fingers, and Colton brushed off his dusty backside with a frown and a cross expression. "Yeah, it wasn't all too pleasant. Try this."
Colton immedietly slipped his hand into the mirror, rewarded with a powerful electric shock that nearly made his hair stand on end. Either way it soon subsided, and his arm was reaching into the other dimention. "Can you grab ahold of it?"

Re: A Millennia of Memories [ Spritzie-kun ]
Grace frowned as she saw he'd gotten the same reaction. She was beginning to wonder if this was even possible. And if it wasn't, was all hope lost? Grace frowned again and rubbed her forehead before listening to him make another perverse comment. However, she really wondered if anything would happen. She doubted it, and plus, how would live-people clothes fit her, anyways? She was wearing the dress she'd been burried with, so it should stay on... Or so she hoped.
"I think I'll be fine," Grace sneered at him, though in an obviously playful way. She didn't want to be rude towards him anymore lest she piss him off and make him, inadvertantly, go away. She had a strange feeling if she pissed him off and he left, that he wouldn't come back, no matter how tempted he would be to come back. Nevertheless, now that he'd been inside the mirror himself, she would safely bet he'd be drawn back to it sooner or later. If that was to happen, only time would tell. And hell, Grace had more time on her hands than she knew what to do with.
Nodding, Grace saw him get shocked again as he stuck his hand back through the mirror, this time offering her his hand instead of her having to reach out for his. Rubbing her hand once more, Grace took a tentative step forward and placed her hand on his, though she was rewarded with another shock, but she didn't let go this time. It wasn't as bad as the first time, but she wondered if, she was indeed pulled through the mirror, if the shock would only get worse. Again, it was likely, but she was willing to do almost anything to get out of this mirror, even though it'd housed her for a millennia.

It wasn't as bad as the first time, but she wondered if, she was indeed pulled through the mirror, if the shock would only get worse. Again, it was likely, but she was willing to do almost anything to get out of this mirror, even though it'd housed her for a millennia.
