Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Eric's fingers tightened gently around Leah's, though it didn't feel the same way as it had felt before. Something was wrong and out of place, making things seem awkward between the two. It was something that could only be regained with time, and trust. Eric knew that all too well, after his last (and only) girlfriend had blown him off. He had called it over when she did it again, after time had passed and Eric had fallen for her again. Painful memories wracked his mind, and he pushed them away, before they arrived at the train station.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah sighed and thought about Micah. Some part of her was wishing that Eric was Micah, but another part of her loved him for being Eric, and all the ways that they could relate. There was no doubt in her mind that they wouldn’t be more than close friends for a while, and maybe not even that. It would take a while for him to trust her again, and their next kiss, if it was ever to come, would be more like their first instead of their hundredth—which it technically would be, after all the times they’d already kissed.

The railway had been running for years and years, and instead of replacing the whole thing, they had just upgraded it bit by bit. It was now still a train, unlikely as that was. Shaking his head, Eric reached the enterance of the place and guided Leah inside. It was rather dark, and all around them people waited for the train to come, dull yellow tickets in their hands. Eric draped an arm around Leah's shoulder, as if to protect her.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah looked around the modernized train station. It seemed rather unbecoming and unsafe, but she felt a bit better when Eric wrapped an arm around her. Most everybody in the place was holding the same yellow tickets she and Eric were holding—save the few that were still buying theirs. Watching as eyes followed the two of them, Leah frowned. “They don’t seem to see teenagers every day,” Leah said sarcastically, mostly to herself.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Eric growled slightly under his breath, and flipped up her own hood to cover her face. "Dont trust anyone.." He looked around, before making his way to a empty bench and sitting both him and Leah down on it. "Dont look at anyone either, they dont like it when that happens." Many fights broke out down here, and he wasn't in the mood, nor shape to get into another one.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah wasn’t expecting him to flip up her hood, but she didn’t try to stop him as he continued talking. She nodded meekly. She’d never actually been here before, so she decided it best—and safest—to listen to Eric and take his advice. She kept her eyes trained on the path directly ahead of her, so not to look at anybody in the eye, and also so that she wouldn’t run into anybody. As they seated themselves on the bench, she glanced at the clock that was crookedly placed on the far wall. It was ten ‘till eleven.

Breathing in deeply, Eric closed his eyes. The air around them smelt like cigarette smoke and beer, and he hated the scent, as it was all too familiar. Shaking his head, he was well aware of Leah's hand in his. His skin was tingling wherever hers was touching him, and he inwardly rolled his eyes. Though he had feelings for her, they were different now, and he hated himself for changing this way. Time would mend them back together, but how much time, was the question.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah’s eyes were glued to the clock. The place and atmosphere made her feel extremely uncomfortable. Without realizing it, she squeezed Eric’s hand lightly before casting quick and hesitant glances around at the other faces, most of which were smoking cigarettes. The smell made her want to cough, but the place was so quiet she felt that if she coughed she might start a revolutionary war.

Eric felt Leah's hand tighten around hers, and he breathed in a long breath, before hearing the light rumble of the train far down on the tracks. "Good, its coming." He pushed himself off of the bench, but didn't dare leave Leah's side, as many shady figures loomed around them, drawing on cigarettes, and watching the pair with dark, glimmering eyes.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah got up with him, holding her train ticket in one hand so tightly. She felt, right now, that it was her gateway to heaven. Once she was on the train, with Eric, she had a feeling it’d feel a lot safer and be a friendlier environment. The shadowy figures that stood all around them were not comforting in the least, but Leah had Eric, and though she knew neither of them were in any condition to fight, that Eric would be able to fend them off. But at the moment either of them made a fairly easy pit pocket target. For a split second, she thought she saw Matthew's shining brown eyes, but when she looked again, they seemed to have disappeared into the crowd. Shuddering slightly, Leah turned away, staying close by Eric.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
(Whoa... That just creeped me out, seeing as I'm sitting in a pitch black bedroom!!)
The train screetched to a stop, its breaks squeeling painfully. Eric winced, hating the sound. The doors opened, and people started to move towards them. Eric waited until the majority of them had passed, before squeezing Leah's hand and leading her towards the man who was collecting the tickets. He handed him his own, then looked to Leah.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
[ lol ikr!? I am too XD I’m also rereading some of my old RP posts… *sigh* I miss the good ol’ days sometimes ]
Leah squinted one last time in the direction she thought she’d seen Matthew in, but nobody seemed to be standing in that corner at all—in fact, it was a completely deserted corner. Shuddering, Leah followed Eric onto the platform where they handed in their tickets, and she handed in hers, smiling weakly. Leah knew she must be imagining things. Matthew couldn’t possibly be here. Besides, why would he, of all people, travel by train?

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Eric nodded slightly as Leah handed over her ticket, and the two were allowed to board the train. Making sure to stay near Leah, he led her down the car and towards an empty seat, near the back where not many people were sitting. For the amount of people hanging around outside the train, there werent that many actually abord it. Sliding into one of the seats, he gave Leah a quick smile.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah frowned and shook her head. Nothing was going to happen. Leah smiled and sat down thankfully. Though the train’s atmosphere wasn’t as welcoming as she’d have liked it to be, it was still better than what it was outside. She curled her legs up onto the seat and sighed, closing her eyes. “I’m so tired,” she commented quietly, not really expecting Eric to listen—much less care.

Eric leaned his head back, pressing it against the window and staring out. This was it, this was finally the day. He had always dreamed of boarding the train to leave, but had never acted on the whim. Now, he had Leah by his side.... If only he had done it before, when things were going well between them. He lifted his head as Leah spoke, sounding drowsy and tired. He nodded, before turning back to the window. "Get some sleep... You're going to need it."

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah nodded and took in a deep breath. She didn’t know when or where they’d be stopping. She knew Eric would wake her up when they got there, so she nodded lazily. “All right,” she murmured, yawning and getting into a more comfortable position, before letting her breathing become regular, falling asleep easily.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Minutes later, the train started to move down the tracks, starting to gain speed. It was loud, but Eric tuned it out, staring out the window with blank eyes. He was unblinking, as thoughts flooded through his head, and he closed his eyes once to try and forget about what had happened between himself and Leah. He wished with all his heart that it hadn't happened in the first place, and turned his head to look at Leah, who was soundly sleeping. he took her hand in his once again, and continued to look at her.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
, for the first time since she’d been reunited with Eric, she had a peaceful sleep. No nightmares flooded through her—no Mike, no Matthew, no Liam. It was only them. However, she didn’t have the dream she’d had before, when they had gotten married. Leah felt something warm around her hand, and she stirred slightly, but didn’t wake up.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Turning back to the window, Eric didn't dare sleep. He didn't trust anyone on the train, and was in no position to get into a fight. Shaking his head, he watched scenery fly past, breifly illuminated then plunging into total blackness. His hood was still covering his face, and he didn't dare take it off, but he turned when he heard footsteps down the middle isle.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah’s mind wandered in her sleep. She vaguely was aware of her surroundings. Leah moved slightly in her sleep, her mind wandering. Her sleep was light, and she vaguely felt the bumping of the train and she heard footsteps and the low murmur of chatter. She was too tired, however, to wake herself up, and she let herself fall into a deeper sleep.

The figure stopped a few paces past Eric and Leah's seat, and he quickly turned his eyes away as the person turned back to look at them. Eric felt eyes on them, and swallowed once before hearing the figure continue down the isle. Not knowing who it was, he shook his head, wishing Leah was on the inside of the seat. He stood and pushed her over, not trying to wake her, but not going to risk her saftey either.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah felt herself being moved gently, and she stirred slightly, “Hmmm?” Leah rubbed her eyes and stared at Eric, noticing she’d been moved. “Eh, something the matter, Eric?” Leah asked groggily, yawning and straightening up. She couldn’t have been asleep very long, but the train had started moving, so she’d been sleeping for at least twenty minutes.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Eric bit his lower lip slightly as Leah woke up, and asked him if everything was alright. Giving a stiff nod, he stared straight ahead, before moving his wrist so he could look at the watch around his wrist. 11:30 pm, and he wasn't tired at all. His mind was racing, and he was trying to figure out where they would go once they exited the train, where they would sleep for the rest of the night.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah stretched and yawned slightly. “Are you sure you’re all right?” Leah asked yawning again. She was tired and yet she’d re-awoken. She didn’t know if she’d be able to get back to sleep. “I haven’t been asleep very long, have I?” Leah moved a bit so he legs were no longer curled up. “My knees hurt,” she grimaced. “Where are we going?” She asked.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Eric sighed, before letting his head fall into his hands. So many questions, and so few answers. "I'm fine Leah." He shook his head and inhaled deeply, clenching his jaw. "You've been dozing for about twenty minutes. Were headed to the city." Closing his eyes, he was struck with a wave of gut wrenching nausia and swallowed once, not knowing why he felt sick like this.
