I felt an elbow from one of the younger girls, and look over. Pale blue eyes changing from flirty to a death glare. She rolled her eyes and back off, the group twitched away. I return my gaze to Payton and leaned closer to him, standing up on my tiptoes to whisper into his ear. "You're friends over there are way desperate. Surprising you two could differ so greatly" I say with a smirk, my words curving in a slight bit of laughter.

" thats because i dot go around kissing everything on two liegs with bigboobs" he ssaid with a teasing smile noticing her give the death glare to the younger girl

I chuckle lightly at him, knowing he had a point. I was getting slightly bored of the situation and glance around him, looking at his friends all getting lucky with matchingly desperate girls.

"" so how did you like the bondfire" he asked her as helooked at all his friends findiing a girl to hook up with

I shrug, a small smile playing on my lips mischieviously. "Eh, it's alright" I say, a devious twinkle in my eyes.

"" it looked like you were having fun with my friend back there" he said with a smirk on his face

I scoff "More like he was having fun... I was doing all the work" I say, chuckling lightly and biting my lip as I look up at him.

He couldn't help but laugh " that's josh for you..he likes his girls todo all the work for him" he said as he looked around then looked back at her

I shake my head, chuckling lightly. I look at the ground, biting my lip. "Soooo....." I say, this was starting to get a little awkward..

" so can you get up here or do you need help up" he asked her with a bright smile

My eyes meet his quickly, and I smirk "What's that supposed to mean?" My words were soft in the air, seeming to dance with my sweet, but abviously devious, voice.

" meaning do you need my help to help you up inot the bed on my truck or can you jump up yourself" he said with a laugh he thought se would get it since he was sittting on the tailgate already

I give him a playful glare and pull myself easily onto the tailgate. "Beat the odds like a bumblebee, do I?" I chuckle and pinch his arm gently.

he smirked "" your not the first to beat the odds sugar plum"" he said and gently pushed her back

I look at him curiously as he pushes me back, letting him do so.

hesaw her look and laughed " meaning your not the first person t ge up here by yourself" he said taking a drink of his beer

I frown slightly out at the water before laying back against the truck. Looking up at the brightening stars, pale blue eyes masked in the darkness. I felt odd around him. Like I was just another one of the girls to talk to. I didn't know why it bothered me. But it did.

he looked back at her " whats wrong" he asked

I look over at him "Nothin" I say and then return my gaze to the stars. Ignoring the fact that my shirt lifted slightly to show my silver belly ring.

" now thats a lie"" he said and laid back with her watching the stars

I was shorter than him, and there fore, when I rolled onto my belly and lifted myself with my elbows, I could still look at him. "Honestly, there isn't anything wrong that wasn't wrong with me before"

he looked over at her " well alright" he said then looked back up at the sky

"You are impossible to understand" I grumble and roll back onto my back, barely brushing his arm before pulling mine onto my stomach.

he sighed then said " im told that alot. i dont like to be easily read by others"" he said

I heard his sigh and I felt terrible all of a sudden. "Sorry..." I murmur, looking to my left to find the eyes of one of his friends. I lower my eyes to a glare and jump onto my knees, shoving his chest hard and sending him back onto his butt.
