Haven, a wandering soul (Redhead!!! :D )

Haven padded down the soft sands of the beach. The wind ruffling her rare, pure white coat. She sat down and took in a deep breath. She had travelled all day today and she was tired. She lied down on some rocks, and watched the water hit them, the ocean spray hitting her fur. She closed her bright blue eyes and relaxed. She wished every day could be like today, quiet, without worry.

Haven thought of that night, the night where it all had changed for her. Her and her brother had been in the town laughing and stupidly they had changed without looking or sensing if there was anyone around them. She blamed herself for this, she was the careful one. She remebered being at home watching TV when suddenly there was a banging on the door, it crashed open and 3 large men pistol at hand walked in. She remembered her brother throwing herself in front of her. Shouting for her to run before he changed into a wolf and jumped the men. Haven changed and ran for it, hearing a shot, she looked back. Her brother's grey coat lying lifelessly on the ground a pool of blood around it. She saw the man look up and she would never forget that look...glory. She ran out of there, now on the run. She hadn't changed back into a human since the incident where she lost everything.

A seagulls cry interuptted her backflash. She opened her eays and flinched as its cries seemed as they were right beside her ear. She yawned and sighed. How she wished she could've changed that fatefull night, but there was nothing she could do now. She sat up and narrowed her sky blue eyes watching the ocean. The wind picking up, she wish it would just take her with it.

Caden walked slowly acros the sand the salty ocean air leaving bits of salt all over his pure as coal jet black fur. His mint green eyes stood out from his coat. Caden was a werewolf and next inline to become the aphla of his pack which was soon to happen. He was 19 in his human form which he hadn't been in for a month after he found out he was to become aphla soo soon. Caden was a born leader and every out going but he wasn't ready to lead a pack. With the stress of being perfect and following in his fathers foot steps he couldn't handle it and took off head for the beach where he always found peace and comfort in listening to the crashing of the waves onto the shore. The only marking on cadens jet black pelt was a white star on his chesxt which all his pack had which also was a favorite among werewolf hunters. His pack was of a bloodline the the hunters wanted noone was sure as to why they wanted. Cadens pack had become known among werewolf hunters as the stars among the mist for they were hard to kill and capture but if they did the hunters loved to shoot them in the star on their chest. As caden contined to pad down the shore he froze smelling a werewolf. A female one at that. His eyes locked onto the pure white female. Cadem pricked his ears in her direction and let a low growl rowl from his throat " you know your on the stars among the mist's turf don't you" he said and slowly revealing him self to the female

Haven listened to the bird calls and the waves, she started to climb down the rocks and she jumped back onto the sand. She caught a scent, a shapeshifter, like her. She narrowed her eyes, the breeze kept changing direction so she couldn't pinpoint the location. She didn't want confrontaion and she avoided it as much as possible. She knew the scent was male, and she also knew she had no chance of winning a fight. She had never been a fighter, her brother had always protected her. Now that he wasn't here she avoided other shapeshifters, she wasn't a coward she just knew there was no point in throwing away her life after her brother did every thing to save it. The bushes by the beach's edge started to rustle. She looked up and slightly raised her haunches, ears back. A pure black male wolf stepped out, he was big. She didn't think she'd get out of this easily, the auora coming from his was strong, she knew he was strong. He spoke and Haven dropped her gaze but still aware of his every movement. "I apologize for tresspasing, i'll leave" she said looking up meeting his gaze with her strong blue eyes.

As their eyes met cadens features soften seeing she was about his age or a year younger and alone. He relaxed " no your alone if you seek protection or safty especially from them dam hunters" he growled out " you may stay here" he finished with a gentle smiled and stood the ocean breeze sending his kindof fluffy coat in all directions. Caden took in her scent knowing she was a shifter like him and from what he could tell by looking at her she had to be hungry. " we have food and water back at the den enough for you to eat your fill if you'd like to come back" he said in his deep yet gentle voice

Haven saw him relax, and so did she. She flattened her ears against her head. "There are hunters around here?" she asked raising her head, a slightly worried expression on her face. She nodded her head in thanks for his invitation. "I appreciate it, thank you i'll only stay awhile" she said quickly, she knew herself that she wouldn't take it too well if she were around a lot of wolves at once. Haven took a deep breath in memorizing his scent already to make sure she didn't forget it. She nodded her small white head. "thank you" she said as she took a couple of steps towards him.

" no not out this far" he said as she asked about the hunters coming out here. " you can stay as long as you want" he said as he turned and started to walk back from where he had come. " we only have 6 other members my mother and father my brother and his mate who is pregnant with5 pups and me and my little sister" he said as he walked into the forest until they came to a water fall he smiled and started to walk behind it. " come on" he said over his shoulder to her tro follow him. As the entered cadens family was eating supper. " well look who's back" said his older brother " cady your back" called lily his younger sister who was still a young pup no more then 5 years old " good to have you abck son" his father brutes said "who's your friend honey" his mother roselin said as she saw the female behind him " she's a friend mom" caden said " well what's your friends name" miley anthnys mate asked as she smiled her swollen belly showing now

Haven shifted her paw in the sand. Haven followed him her pawsteps barely making a sound. She smiled "big family" she said to him. As they walked they neared a forest, and a waterfall. She stopped and looked at in awe, it was beautiful. She saw that Caden had already entered behind it, she took a deep breath already the different scents of the wolves swarmed her nose, she didn't really know what to think. She followed him anway. She gave them a small smile as she walked in, she felt so small. Almost all of the wolves were much larger than her, she was only a little bigger than the young female. She let Caden answer the first question. "My Name's Haven" she said quietly to the wolves around her.

" what a beautiful name " cadens mother side with a warm smile as she laid down and started to clean herself " well you are welcome to stay as long as you like haven" brutes said with a smile before laying down by his mate. " cady is she your mate?" Lily asked cocking her head at haven" no lily she's a friedn" caden said blushing slightly " yah like he could get a mate " anthny said with a laugh" watch it ant" caden growled out as he sat down " well eat what you would like ant and I shall be going for a walk now" roselin said with a smile and winked at lily who ran after her and ant " I'm sooo sorry about my family" caden said quickly

"Thank you" Haven said with a smile. She looked up Lily when she asked if she was his mate, Haven listened to the family banter and quietly laughed to herself, she saw Caden blush and cocked her head, and looked back at his brother and little sister, pretending she didn't notice. "alright i really appreciate your hospitality" she said politely. She looked at Caden who was now apologizing, she looked at him slightly confused. "there's nothing to be sorry for, you have a great family" she said quietly to him.

" thanks but sometimes we all go on edge" he said with a smiled as he watched her " so how long are you going to stay?" He asked hoping it would be a while

Haven couldn't help but smile. "Im not sure, Im quite use to being alone" she said, she looked up at him "Do you ever shift?" she asked curiously.
