Amelia gave a stern look to Dreamer then galloped after Desire. She caught up with her foal and nuzzled her, "I may love you even more than daddy, sweetheart. Don't you ever think I don't love you." She looked Desire in the eyes.

Amelia nuzzled her foal lovingly and smiled. "Maybe it's time you and I go somewhere else." She sighed and turned to give Dreamer a quick glance. The stallion had been perfect for her since she had only laid eyes on him. Leaving him was a tough decision, but she had to do it for Desire. Desire needed a stallion that would protect them no matter what. Dreamer should've faught Apollo away. He should've. Shown he cared. Amelia let out a deep sigh and laid down. "But not tonight." She hid a tear from her daughter.

I picked up my ears to hear they're conversation. When they finished, I was crushed. Rivers of tears ran down my face. I cleared them up and walked into where Apollo lay. "Leave." I held up my head and looked down at the stallion. "Now."

"Do you hate me that much?" I ran off, feeling torn into peices by my family's words. I ran about a mile when I finnally stopped. I looked back once then grazed a little, trying to forget their words. It would take years before I would get over this, years. I shook out my mane and decided to rest before I traveled again. I was never going back. Amelia had found another, and Desire hated me. I loved them too much for words to tell, but they didn't love me back. I had been mistreated once again. Another life, stolen by a young stallion. I erased this thought from my mind and looked ahead of me. Nothing but trees. I scrapped my hoof in the dirt and let out a peircing neigh, warning nearby horse not to mess with me. I reared and landed wih a huge thud. I began trotting around the meadow I had stoppe din, trying to occupy my mind.

Amelia was immediately on her feet, galloping after him. She lost her way once or twice, putting her a good deal behind him, but finally caught up with him, looking at the anger in his eyes. She warily stepped out from her hiding place. "No, Dreamer," she said quietly, "You never lost me." She looked at the ground, a tear rolling down her long nose and off the velvety tip of her nose. A stern look crossed her face. This was the first time she had ever been in love. "But if you want, you can go. Desire and I--" she sucked in a breath, fighting off more tears, "--Desire and I will manage." She turned around, tears pouring down her face, and she galloped off. When she was almost back home, she began to sing:

Desire looked at the ground. "Okay then", she said and then a group of wolves came aND CIRCULED HER AND SHE STARTED A SMALL NEIGH. "Mamma!" she said and neighed real loud and a wolf bit her leg and she groaned and laid down.

"DESIRE!" Amelia neighed loudly and galloped over to her, rearing and landing on a wolf. She bucked another one away and bucked to get one off of her back. "Go, Desire! Hurry!" She snorted and rolled on the ground, trying to crush the wolf that was on her back. She was instantly back on her feet and bucked around wildly, thrashing her hooves. She looked around to see only more wolves coming. She nudged Desire forward. "Go!"
