I chuckle softly, my voice noticeably deeper and gruffer, but not in an unfriendly way. Bobbing my head, I swish my long tail, head up and ears pricked forward. Blowing loudly through my nose, I paw gently at the snow, uncovering bits of frosty grass beneath. Lowering my muzzle to the ground, I inhale the sweet smell of the green blades for a moment. Shaking my head as I brought it back up, I see Black Rain watching me from the corner of my eye and turn my attention to her. Ears forward, I turn my head towards her.

Black Rain~
Realizing he was look at back at me I quickly look down then towards the sound of running water. Licking my lips I remember that I was thirsty. Piviting in that direction I walk towards the sound.

Feeling a bit of disappointment when she dropped her gaze from mine I dip my head slightly, snorting. Lifting my head, I see the Fairy still on her branch, and, hearing a rustling sound to my right, turn my head to watch Black Rain start moving towards the lake. I could now hear the running water and started eagerly after her, following a few paces away through the remainder of the forest before it opened up where the lake cut through the valley, wide and twisting, now free of the ice that had held it down during the long, cold winter months.

After a bit and sifting through my thoughts, I come to realize that Spiritum was following quickly in my wake. Flicking an ear back, I listen to his hooves upon the ground and gentle breathing until I reach the lakes edge. Stopping so just the tips of my front hooves were in the icey cold water. Snorting and holding my head high I look around before lowering my head and pushing my lips into the water. A shock of both icey coldness and excitement shot through my body as the welcomed liquid flowed into my mouth and down my throat. Closing my eyes in comfort, I only flick my ears to the sound of Spiritum coming up next to me.

Licking my dry lips, I stop about six of seven feet down from her, lowering my head to the water and flaring my nostrils. Stepping in barely so the water came up to my fetlocks, feeling the coldness as though it were touching me through some sort of barrier, I dip my muzzle into the water, licking my dry lips as I did. The icy water flowed into my mouth and now I truly felt the coldness, though it did not bother me much as I drank in long, slow drags, the water flowing down my throat and refreshing my body and spirits, and, when finished, I just let my muzzle hang in the water, watching the ripples of water flow past downstream.

Black Rain~
After a few minutes I lift my muzzle from the cool water. A few drops falling once in awhile back into the constantly moving stream. Nickering softly I prick my ears and look intensely across the lake. Hearing a cracking noise about a hundred yards to the left, I look quickly over to the noise. But it was only a few deer coming down to the water to also get a drink. Blowing out softly I shake my head and lick my lips.

The scent of the deer came to me before I heard or saw them, and I lifted my head to watch them come, lips loose, water dribbling out and running down my chin before dropping back into the constantly moving water. I could see Black Rain watching them, as well, and my gaze flickered to her, turned in the opposite direction as I were on her right and the deer on her left. My eyes studied the arch of her crest, the glistening health of her coat, deep chest, nice conformation, and long legs. I sighed quietly to myself, looking across the water into the forest on the opposite bank, wishing I could tell what she was thinking, understand why her eyes quickly darted away from mine whenever I attempted to meet her gaze.

Stomping a back hoof, I decide I should finally face him. Not worry about whether or not if the terrible thing inside me should come out. I would not let it run my life. Flicking my tail I raise my head and turn my eyes to his. The starting green buds seemed to make his pelt glow and heighten different colours in it. Giving a smile, I keep from giggling. How could I not look at such a handsome stallion, I had been foolish to think that I would loose control.

My eyes lifted up towards the mountains, where a waning moon was beginning to rise. My snowy white pelt would soon begin to darken to a dappled grey as winter turned to spring and led to summer, I knew, and bobbed my head slightly. I got the gnawing feeling of being watched and, from the corner of my eye, saw Black Rain's head turned my head. Bringing my own head around to look at her, ears pricked forward, I tossed my head slightly. Letting out a low, gentle whicker, I took the smallest step in her direction, pausing nearly immediately, afraid she might turn away again and deciding to let her wait until she was ready to approach me on her own. I held her gaze for a moment before I shut my eyes slightly to shake my mane, sighing softly.

Hearing his welcoming whicker, I nicker in return. Ears pricking when he takes a step forward, I wait a second before I approach him. Reaching out, my muzzle barely touches his strong muscled shoulder. Eyes gleaming, I bring my head back and watch him.
(Sorry I thought I had replied.)

My eyes open again and I watch her, feeling as though I large load had been lifted off my broad back when, affter a short moment, she began to approach me, as well. Standing still as she came up, I tuck my head slightly, ears forward, as she extended her muzzle and I felt her warm, velvet touch against my skin. I sighed softly in content, watching her with my dark orbs as she pulled her head away. Extending my own muzzle, nostrils flared, I touch my mug gently to her own, breathing in her sweet breath in a greeting.

Smiling I flick my tail comfortably in the warm sun. Dipping my head after he touches his muzzle to mine, I squeal slightly then toss my head. Grinning playfully I prance away, kicking out slightly as I pull away from him. Eyes gleaming in delight, I turn my head around as I come to a sudden stop to see if he was coming.

I tossed my head slightly at her squeal, ears flicking back to keep the wind out before they slipped forward again. She danced away, prancing, and I could see the high-spirits and fire in her eyes. Dipping my head, I exhaled loudly through my muzzle, taking off into a prance that matched her pace from a halt.

Arching my neck, I once again pick up that elegant prance that my breed was so heralded for. (sp?) Pricking my ears and flagging my tail, I enjoy the happy moment we were sharing. The soft dirt beneath my hardened hooves turned gently from the pressure, forming a perfect shape that reflected exactly my hoof. Nickering softly, I un-tuck my head and look at him. My brilliant eyes flashed in the sun light, which surprisingly did not hurt my eyes one bit. Flicking my tail I rid myself of the flies that harbored my flanks. Once they flew off, I gather myself gallantly and launch forward with all the speed I possessed.

Spiritum's nose lowered down into his chest, matching her image in a perfect contrast for a moment. Tossing his head up into the air, he let out a low bugle as his pace picked up into a canter. Snow the color of his own body lifted up from his stride, raining down slowly upon the earth in a frosty, dream-like manner. He watched as Black Rain launched herself forward, wasting no time as he hastened his stride and bounded forward, skirting around a slight snow drift before surging forward again towards her dark form, both their coats shining radiantly in the brief flashes of the sun peaking out from behind the clouds.
