When Death Comes My Way, The Darkness Will Be All Too Welcome {Please Reply!}
The Phantom's blinding white form walked through the forest, pausing only once to wipe the blood that lingered on his lips, continuing on his endless journey that seemed to lead nowhere. He never stopped, never hesitated or fell back, never thought about the Life that he had taken tonight. At least this time he had not had to commit murder; Or, at least, not in his mind. The poor creature had been young, merely a yearling, yet she had been blinded with the pain of a creature that had come before himself. He had ended her Life quickly, cradling her in the painless dark of his own mind, taking her pain from her and giving it to himself, almost as a portal between Light and Darknesses. Then she was gone, and he had continued on, never looking back, never again feeling the sorrow that he had when he had first stumbled upon the poor creature.
The moonless night lifted high overhead, no stars there to light the way. Just darkness. Somewhere along the distant, towering mountains, dawn was just beginning to creep up on the land, but its light had not yet sent tendrils of color over the ebony sky. The Phantom's ivory form blended perfectly with the snowy landscape. He sank into the downy white stuff up to his elbows, yet never did he feel the cold. Unlike what most would think, he radiated heat, not cold. Yes, he was different. There was no other like himself.
His fetlock of the purest white hung lightly down his forehead, waving gently in the wind he created by walking. Other than the air he was pushing against, there was no other wind weaving its way through the valley. Somewhere deep in the woods by the lake, a whipporwill sang out his eerie call, the sound echoing for miles and taking place in the emptiness of everything. His ivory mane and tail waved gently out behind him, his tall, elegant and sleek form moving flawlessly through the deep snow.
Finally, he stopped, lifting his head high into the air, his breath rising like misty fingers up into the dark. His slim ears were pricked forward elegantly, his nostrils dilated. There was something new in the air. Yet, despite the way his mind raced, there was no change in the stillness of his heart. He whinnied loudly, his sound echoing. And then, an answer rang back to him.

Mystie saw a blinding white stallion making his way through the trees. She galloped to catch up with him. She thought she saw him up ahead, but when she blinked, he disappeared. She looked for him, but with no luck. She called out to him, hoping he was like her. She craved blood and could smell his. She lifted her delicate ears to track him that way. Maybe the human with wings would come. She could help her find him. There! Mystie saw the stallion in the darkness and ran toward him, making sure to keep him in sight. He must have noticed she was there. She ran as fast as she could, following his blood-scent.

Decode The night watched the white horse, her black coat hideing herself from everything I watched the stallion and mare. I wonder if they are mated, what ever she though turning to walk away.

Mystie smelled another, different, blood-scent. This one was a mare. She tried to focus on the stallion. Focus, Mystie! She told herself. She had to find that stallion. She needed to find him.

The Phantom's head shot up instantly, hearing the whinny of another horse nearby in response to his own call. His ears swivelled almost nervously, flicking his tail behind him as if to ward away flies. But in the stillness of the early morning, whose rays from the sun had not yet graced the land, there were no flies. It was too cold, too dark, for them to be out. They would not evven come out in the middle of the day. In this wasteland, the only animals were those that were able to survive the cold, harsh conditions. Then, he caught the scent of the creature that had been following him, and he dilated his nostrils to take in the scent, although it was difficult with no wind to blow the scent towards him. Whoever it was, they were close now. He blinked slightly, tossing his head slightly. One slim, elegant foreleg pawed at the ground, and he took a step back, the whites of his eyes showing as he snorted, ears half back. She wasn't mortal; Like himself, only different. No one was like him. Then he scented another, yet again a mare, only this one was mortal! He exhaled loudly, feeling a strange feeling come over his body as he dilated his nostrils again to take in the mortal mare's heavenly scent; Not that of her in-heat sign, but that of her blood.

Mystie heard the stallion stop and kept going. She wanted, no needed, to get to him. His blood-scent was intoxicating. He wasn't mortal, like her, but he wasn't the kind of immortal that she was. She flattened her ears against the wind, but didn't slow. Nothing else was going to make her stop.

He curled his lip back, ears flattening right against his head as he heard the immortal mare's hoofbeats coming closer and closer, getting louder and louder. He tossed his head up into the still air, his mane falling back into place, hanging down from atop his crest, unmoving in the absence of the wind. He bared his teeth, the white not standing out against the color of his coat and that of the terrain. The still world was beautiful; That was undeniable. Ice and snow covered everything in a blanket of white, and after the previous blizzard, nothing mared the perfect surface of the snow other than the hoofprints of myself leading into this meadow, and those of the two mares who had entered into my valley, my World of White. I hadn't been here in quite some time; No, I had been travelling again. The spirts that tagged along with me now stood restlessly in the trees, just the shimmering outlines of all animals, there eyes a deep gold that stood out from the white, the only color left in this world. The mist that was their breaths rose silently up into the air, weaving its way between the trees, and I listened. A moment later, I could see the thin, solid outline of the mare, just inside the cover of the trees.

I saw the mare beging to aprouch(sp) the white stallion as i was walking away, my black coat standing out very easily out from all the white. My dark black wings leaveing a trail, good thing was that me being a Dark Angel Horse was the snow regrouped.

Mystie paused, breathing in the cold air. She was close enough to the stallion to reach out and touch him. She saw without realizing the spirits in the trees next to him. She shivered and snorted, alerting the stallion. She wanted him so bad. She closed her eyes and turned away. She knew she could not have him. She sensed he didn't want a mare. Yet.

His body quivered slightly as he twisted around, holding back a squeal as he turned to face her with his empty eyes. Outside of the clearing, he could tell that another mare was walking away, lifting and tossing his head before he returned his gaze to the other, the vampyre. Ears still back, muscles quivering under his taut, milky white coat that twitched every so often on his withers, near his mane, he stared at her. He relaxed hislips, letting them fall back over his sharpeneed, razor-like teeth. "Hello," he said finally. His voice was rough yet gentle, calm and steady, his gaze never leaving her's, his demeanor ccalming and settling back into the gentleman-like profile he always held.

"You are not who you pretend to be." Mystie began. "But why? We may never know." She steadily met his gaze. Her skin shivered under his cold gaze. "By the way, my name is Mystie. What is yours?"

I stopped and leaned against a tree my black wings folded as I watch the phantom and the vampyer. The phantom horse reminded me of Fantasma. I began laughing very quietly. Fantasmas name ment Phantom. I bit my lip to keep from laughing.

Mystie's ears flicked forward as she heard a faint sound, like someone laughing, in the trees. "You hear that?" She tilted her head at the stallion.

I kept laughing before turning invisable, tring not to get caught laughing. I watched them, my laugh still quiet.

The Phantom's eyes narrowed slightly, hearing the mare's chuckle from in the forest, before returning his attention to the Vampyre in front of him, shaking his head slightly. "And how do you know that? Is it what I am, or who I am that you inquire about? I do not pretend to be mortal, though I do also not make it obvious what I am," he says, the words seeming to entwine through themselves, making their way to her with a suave tone, close to emotionless, yet not quite. "It is, a pleasure, to meet you, Mystie. Mine is The Phantom of the Night, though you may choose to call me what you wish." His voice was heavily accented, somewhere between British and French, closer to British. *And the same to you, wherever you choose to hide yourself* he added to the mare in the trees. "Of course I do, I am not what any other is. I can hear her laugh quite clearly, yet I am not able to place her direct position, though she hides herself somewhere behind the trees." His gaze flashed to the trees in the mare's general direction before returning to Mystie.

"All I know is that you pretend to be a gentleman, yet you kill. But I do wish to know more about you. For example, who and what are you. I know you are immortal. But not the same as me." Mystie tried not to say anything about his blood-scent. "Your blood-scent is amazing, but not mortal. Are you a vampyre?" She closed her eyes. "Are you truly alive?"

The Phantom's eyebrows shot up for an instant before lowering, and he shook his head again. "No no, I do not pretend, my dear. This is how I was created, this is how I was taught by instincts to act. I do not kill for the pleasure of killing, but nor do I think anymore of those who I have, stolen from. I try to keep it to those who have sinned, but it is not always so simple. I do not let them feel pain, when they do, it is merely because I may be too weak, or they do not accept the fact that I am stronger. "Yes, I am immortal, and I also am not quite like you. As for your last two questions, those are two that I have been searching the answers to for myself. I am more than a Vampyre, yet less so. My heart is still, yet blood somehow manages to run through my veins." He shook his head, digging his left foreleg into the ground, troubled.

Staying Hidden I decided to see if I could trick him. * Did you know im your guardian?* I asked in his head giving out a loud neigh from in the woods.

He swivelled his ears, hiding a scowl in his eyes. *I have no guardian, mare. You cannot guard one who cannot die, who has no pulse and only a sliver of a soul. You are not my guardian; You are darkened, the opposite of what guardians are* He snorted back to her, turning towards the woods and staring straight into the dark, seemingly past the trees to her position, now that he knew exactly where she stood.

He sighed softly, the sound almost inaudible, but not quite. "I'm not easy to trick; I have lived far too long already," I said, my voice almost sour as I shook my head.
