Cobalt's brown eyes met hers steadily then hardened a bit as the scent grew stronger. Something hit him from very long ago "A-are you in...heat?" He whispered softly. His tool grew harder, demanding to mate. But he resisted, barely.

Kate sniffed her back leg. She gasped, and jammed her tail to her rump. "Yes..." She replied, gulping. Kate smirked fakely, trying not to make it awakward. Was Cobalt in love with her? No! He couldn't be! 'Who could ever love me!?' Kaitlyn thought.

Cobalt smirked then sighed "Don't worry, I wouldn't try to do what your thinking of unless you wanted me to." He said trying to reassure her. He licked her muzzle, tryin to get her to relax a little.

"What do you mean by 'If I wanted you to'?" Kate asked, her eyes narrowed. Kate may be a bit clueless every once and a while, but she was not stupid.

Cobalt caught his words and scolded himself in his mind. "Well...um...just..never mind" he said looking down, slightly embarrassed. Did he just give away his secret? He hoped not, but he really didn't know what she took of it.

Kate narrowed her eyes. "Oh OK." She replied. Kaitlyn didn't believe him, but decided to turn him on a bit. She wagged her tail, letting her heat scent spread.

Cobalt narrowed his eyes questionably at her when see conceded to him. He stiffened as the heat scent spread around "Can you please stop doing that?" he begged.

"Sorry.. I'm just happy." She snarled, whirling around and going to find Mishka. Soon she found her and smiled. "Sup, besty." Kate greeted, smiling. "Hey, Kaitlyn." She replied, nudging her shoulder. "So what happened with you and Cobalt?" She asked. "Not much. He started acting really weird." Kate told her. "No duh! He's been drooling over you for the past over two weeks! He totally likes you." Mishka teased. "What?" Kate hissed. "He has a massive crush on you, Kaitlyn. Admit it." She growled. Kate lashed her tail. "Maybe he does. I don't care."

Cobalt sighed as she ran off, "Kate...pl-..." he started, but she was already gone. He walked through the dense, dark forest. His mind was consumed by Kate, Kate and more Kate. Her piercing blue eyes seemed like they where indented into his mind. Her white fur seemed like snow, as soft as silk, always rubbing against him. He made sure to stay near the territory, but away from camp to give Kate some room.

A cougar leaped out of nowhere and onto Cobalt, taring his flesh. Kate heard the comotion and dashed over, and basically tore the cougar part. She threw its body against a rock and looked at Cobi. "Are you OK?" She asked.

When the cougar attacked him, Cobalt was flung against a rock. His eyes closed in the quick moment of passing out he had. Cobalt kept his eyes closed, seeing what Kate would do.

Kate panted and turned to Cobalt. "Hey. Wake up!" She barked, nipping his ear and pulling it. Kate growled, wanting him awake. So she wagged her tail so heat scent would catch him. Then she stopped vagging her tail.

Cobalt kept his eyes closed as she pulled on him, wanting to see how far she would go. He almost stiffened as her heat scent spread but he stayed as still as he could without blowing his cover.

Kaitlyn whimpered, her eyes now clouded with worry. "Cobalt... Cobalt!" Kate whined, licking his face. She held back tears from forming as she looked at his limp body. "Please..." She pleaded.

Cobalt opened his eyes slowly, and looked up at Kate. He saw the worry in her eyes so he softly licked her face. He whispered softly "I'm ok don't worry."

Kate wagged her tail and backed away. "A-Are you sure?" Kate asked, looking around. Mishka nudged her over to Cobalt, and their noses touched.

Cobalt smiled and nodded "Yeah I'm sure." He looked at Mishka wondering what she was doing but smiled as his and Kate's noses touched. He rubbed his muzzle on the side of hers and looked into her glorious blue eyes.

Kate growled and pulled away from him, her electric eyes blazing. She glanced at Mish, smiling softly. Kaitlyn didn't know what she'd do without Mishka in her life.

Cobalt was a little baffled when Kate growled at him. He chuckled and looked to the lake nearby, he grinned and raced toward it. He leapt into it sending a splash onto land. He looked to Kate and motioned with his head Come join me!

Kaitlyn smirked and raced forward. She leaped in and splashed Cobalt, soon followed by Mishka. Kate laughed until Drake came. Kaitlyn snarled, sending him away. Mish laughed.

Cobalts laughs of happiness quickly turned to a snarl of fury when he saw Drake. His black fur bristled on the back of his neck,but instead of letting Drake go, Cobalt snarled and leapt from the water. His instincts had kicked in with Kate being in heat. His teeth were bared as he followed Drake into the woods, farther from the camp.

Drake looked at Cobalt. "I'm not looking for trouble, Cobalt." He growled, stalking away. Kaitlyn padded up to Cobalt. "What happened there? I've never seen you act like that." Kate growled.

[center]Cobalt quickly snapped out of it as Kate asked him. "I-I don't know..." he stuttered, his eyes widened as he looked to the ground. What had happened? Cobalt thought.

Kate shrugged it off, and pretended as if it was nothing. Kaitlyn licked his ear softly.
