Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah took, deep, centering breaths, trying to stop the tears from flowing. Her wrists were still bleeding from the rusty cuffs, though they weren’t as bad as they had used to be. She sniffed and opened her eyes, staring at the door at where she left, twisting her wrists in the cuffs, trying to wriggle them out, though it only renewed the breathing, and she clenched her teeth. “I’m sorry Eric,” Leah said suddenly, managing to curl herself up and turn on her side, so only her back was facing Eric. She couldn’t take it.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Eric cast his dark eyes away from Leah, his face pale and taught. He lifted his chin slightly, blood trickling down his arm. "Can you get out of the cuffs?" Eric ignored her apology, and blinked once. Swallowing, his throat was partched and dry, and he tried to focus on a way to get out. Turning his good wrist in the cuff, he winced as it scraped across his flesh and threatened to cut him. His head fell onto his chest, as he tried to center hs breathing.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah tried again to pull her wrist out of the cuff, only to be rewarded with the cutting of the skin around her wrist, “Shit,” she murmured, then sighed, “I can’t get out of the cuffs.” Leah said, though it was only a tad louder. Suddenly, a fresh wave of tears hit her, “This is why I left, Eric,” she blurted suddenly, “I didn’t want you to have to deal with this. And now you’re probably hurt, and it’s all my fault. I left because I love you, and I didn’t want you to get hurt. I’m sorry.” Leah’s body shook as tears spilled out of her eyes again.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Eric's eyes were trained on Leah's hands, and he winced as she was cut yet again. He had been about to speak, before harsh footsteps started to near the closed door. Eric cast a glance at Leah, but she wasn't looking at him. He figured he wouldn't look at him either, if he was in her position. Pushing himself back against the wall, Eric cringed as the door was kicked open, the large figure of Matthew stooping in the door. He chuckled at Leah's position, before striding over to the bed. Before he could touch her however, Eric's head snapped up and he cried out, eyes blaing with fury.
"Leave her alone, you bastard!"

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah moved slightly, turning her head to see who was at the door. When she saw it was Matthew, she froze in place, curling immediately up into a tighter ball, her petite form shaking madly. The last thing she expected was to hear Eric tell him to stop, but when she thought about it, she realized it wasn’t all that out-of-the-ordinary. Leah couldn’t say anything anymore, however. Her throat was sore and her eyes were tired. She felt utterly helpless and sore, but she had enough energy to pull herself halfway upright, still curled tightly in a ball.

Matthew paused for just a split second, turning his hard, deadly eyes on Eric. Giving him a harsh glare, a cruel grin played on his lips. Instead of stopping, he did just the oposite. He strode over to Leah, grabbing her by the hair and forcing her against the wall. He didn't bother keeping her covered up, and leaned his head down closer to her. Eric pulled against the cuffs, cursing a blue streak loudly. "You bastard! Dont you dare touch her!" His voice cracked at the end, making Matthew laugh harshly, and press his lips roughly over Leah's own.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah yelped loudly as he pulled her hair up, forcing her to come out of her fetal position, leaving her exposed. And the air was cold against her skin. Leah flinched as Matthew pulled himself closer to her, their lips inches apart, her heart racing rapidly, “Get away from—” Leah’s eyes widened as Matthew basically shoved his lips against hers, and she struggled underneath him, bringing her knee up and knocking him in the stomach, in attempt to get him off of her.

Eric's face paled, his dark eyes growing wide. There was nothing he could do, nothing! He struggled against his bonds, but Matthew continued advancing on Leah. She was also helpless, defensless. Matthew released one of her arms from the cuff, but twisted it behind her back before she had the chance to do anything. Suddenly, the man gasped for air and fell ontop of her slightly, before taking a shuddering breath and narrowing his dark eyes. His hand moved to Leah's throat, and he threatened to cut off her air supply. "I told you," He hissed, "To be good!" Turning away from her, he moved towards Eric and drew back his fist, driving it down onto Eric's broken hand.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah sucked in a breath when she felt his hand around her throat. When he moved over to Eric, punching his broken hand, Leah reached over and screamed, “NO!” and she winced when she saw him hurt Eric, she yelled, “Don’t hurt him! I’ll do anything! Just leave him alone!” Leah said, tears falling down the side of her face again, “Please…I’ll be good! I swear!”

Eric cried out when Matthew's hand smashed into his own, his broken bones twisting and making tears spill from his eyes. In attempt to collect himself, he pulled up on the cuffs, but a harsh blow was delivered to his jaw, knocking him against the wall.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah watched what was going on, then snapped out of it. She pulled herself up and unclasped the other cuff, looking to the corner of the room where her bag still lay. Eric would have to wait a moment. She slunk quietly to the corner of the room and drew out another bra and shirt, donning both of them as quickly as possible before sneaking back over onto the bed, sidling over it and landing quietly on the other side, before commenting, “Hey, Matthew. I think you forgot something,” Leah snapped, putting herself in between him and Eric.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Matthew was so set on beating up Eric, that he didn't even notice Leah pull her wrist out of the other cuff. He had drawn his fist back once again to punch Eric, when Leah pushed her way in between them. The surprise on his face made Eric laugh outloud, his face raw and bleeding. Matthew turned his eyes back onto Leah's face, before he grabbed her wrists in his hands and twisted them up behind her back. Eric took the oportunity to kick out, his feet smashing into Matthews ankles and making him stagger backwards, dropping Leah.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah grimaced and clenched her teeth, only to watch Eric kick Matthew, and she dropped to the floor, quickly scrambling to her feet and rubbing her wrists momentarily before pushing Matthew back, clasping one of his wrists into a cuff, knowing she didn’t have enough time to cuff them both. They had to get out of here. Leah rushed over to Eric, not bothering to look him in the eye, and uncuffed both of his hands, being extremely careful with his broken hand. “Come on,” she said, helping him to his feet, “Weh ave to get the hell out of here.”

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Eric winced as Leah uncuffed him, and he gingerly lowered his broken hand from the cuff. His cheek was split open and bleeding, but he pushed himself up off of the ground, and grabbed Leah's hand. He pulled her away from the raging Matthew, and pushed her out the door.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah stumbled out the door, wrapping her fingers around Eric’s good wrist. “We have to get out of here before Matthew gets out of the cuff,” Leah said, ushering him out gently, then closing the door behind them. “Hopefully Blake isn’t downstairs…” Leah murmured, rushing down the stairs, checking over her shoulder momentarily to see if Eric was following, not having any trouble getting down the stairs with his broken hand.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah pulled Eric out of the room, his shoulder harshly whapping against the door frame as he stumbled out. Her fingers were tightly curled around his wrist, and he tried to pull free to close the door. Straining against her grip, he leaned forward and grasped the door handle, but Leah closed the door before he had a chance too. It would give them a little extra time if Matthew was able to get out of the cuffs, which Eric was sure he would do very, very soon. He almost tripped over his feet as he stumbled down the stairs, almost running into Leah.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah stumbled slightly when Eric nearly fell into her, feeling him brush lightly over her back, and she turned around to look at him, stepping back a few paces when the disgusting smell of too much alcohol and smoking hit her. Apparently, now was the time people entered the bar: it was full to the brim. Leah took Eric’s good hand gently, “Come on, we have to get out of here before Blake or Matthew find us. We’ll be safe in the church, right?” Leah asked, not bothering to hear an answer—their mandatory concern was to get out of the bar. Her mandatory concern was to fix Eric’s hand when they got out of here.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
"No Leah,"
Eric pulled back as she tried to pull him down the stairs. There wasn't a possible way they could get out, not without being spotted. As Eric eventually stepped down a few more stairs, he peeked through the slightly open door and grimaced at the sight. The small bar was packed, full of loud screaming drunks and cigarette smoke. He mistakenly took a breath, and almost choked on the air. Turning away from the door, he heard thumping from the upstairs bedroom and his eyes widened slightly, before he shoved Leah through the door that led to the bar outside. "Go, you can get through! It's the only way, pretend you work here!" He hissed in her ear, before closing the door behind her. What he had done made his heart feel cold, as if he had just said goodbye for the last time. And possibly, it had been. The upstairs door suddenly flew open, a red faced Matthew raging out of it. In his hands, he clutched a small black handgun. Raising it, he pointed it directly at Eric.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
“Eric!” Leah complained, only to have the door shut in her face. “Eric!” Leah screamed through the door, only to be grabbed around the elbows by somebody else. She was just able to turn her head enough to see who it was: Blake. But her determination gave her a strength that outmatched his. She brought her leg back as far as she could, bringing it harshly back down and kicking him in the crotch. He called out gruffly, dropping her almost immediately, a small silver pistol sliding out from under his coat. Leah scrambled for it, grabbing it, threatening to shoot him, though she knew that she could never shoot somebody.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Matthews face split into a gruesome smile, knowing that Eric was trapped. Pinned against the dead end of the stair well, the only way to get out was through the door. At any rate, Blake was out there and knew what to do if Eric dared make a run for it. A bullet was much faster than his legs could carry him anyhow. Eric's eyes were wide, his face pale. The new cuts and bruises stood out on his face, and Matthew pondered if shooting him was really a good idea. Perhaps it would be better to keep him for the time being. He didn't know where Leah was, and keeping Eric would draw Leah back to him. He knew that for a fact, and wasn't about to let the chance slip out of his fingers. The pleasure of tormenting the young pair was more than he could resist. Matthew slowly stepped down the stairs, one by one. His booted feet landed on each plank of wood, making it squeek slightly, protesting with his weight. Holding the gun on Eric, his hands were slightly shaking with his surpressed rage. Eric's back was pressed against the wall, before his eyes glanced from Matthew, to the gun, then to the door.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah backed up the stairs, fumbling with the handle of the door. She wasn’t going to abandon Eric there. Leah managed to get it open, the gun still tightly gripped in her hand, and slammed it shut behind her, turning around, her breath catching in her throat when she saw Matthew with the gun trained on Eric. Leah lifted her own gun up, her hands shaking noticeably, before saying, her voice wavering, “Put. The gun. Down. Now.” Leah kept her eyes on Matthew, not bothering to check if Eric was okay. She had to give the impression she would actually shoot him, which meant showing no emotion towards the fact he had a gun on Eric. Even through it all, Leah knew she’d never be able to shoot him, even if he threatened Eric. Leah couldn’t kill somebody. She knew she couldn’t.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Eric couldn't help but swear loudly as the door opened, Leah's slender figure appearing in front of him. He had the mind to push her back out, but then his eyes fell on a small silver handgun, clutched tightly in her fingers. Her hands were trembling, and Matthews eyes narrowed as he swung his gun from Eric to Leah. Eric automaticly stiffened, his eyes growing hard and deep. Balling his good hand into a fist, he almost lunged at Matthew, but contained his rage. "Leah, get out of here! Now!" Eric hissed into her ear, but he knew she wouldn't listen. It was his fault this was all happening! It was his fault that she wouldn't go!

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah heard Eric swear, and she frowned momentarily at Eric’s language. Leah froze up momentarily as Matthew turned the gun to her instead of Eric, and she had half a mind to just tell Matthew she wouldn’t complain if he just left Eric alone. “I’m not leaving,” Leah snapped at Eric, taking a wary step towards Matthew, “Put the gun away, Matthew. You’re not the only one here who can kill with a snap of their fingers,” Leah said, cocking the gun. She was still feigning her ability to actually shoot him, hoping desperately that he’d buy it.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Matthew wavered for a split second as Leah turned the gun back her, his hand lowering an inch, before he returned with more force. His finger pressed slightly on the trigger, teasing the pair that was standing in front of him. His dark chocolate hair fell down into his hard brown eyes, his square jaw set and tight. Leah looked fearsome with the gun, but he knew that she wouldn't actually shoot him. She wasn't like that. Eric turned to Leah, having half the mind to grab the gun out of her hand, and use it on the bastard that had almost violated her, plus so many more gruesome things he didn't have time to the think about, and didn't want to think about none the less. In a split second, all hell could break loose, and he wasn't about to let Leah get in the way. She was here to protect him, but he wasn't about to let her get hurt because of it. He pushed forward, standing in front of Leah and protecting her own body with his. If Matthew would shoot, he would be the one to take the bullet. At least he hoped his body would keep Leah safe.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah froze suddenly as Eric stepped in front of her. Whatever the heck was running through his mind, he was being stupid. She put the gun down by her feet, not trusting her shaky fingers not to accidentally pull the trigged and shoot Eric instead. Leah, immediately recognizing the danger, knowing Matthew would take advantage of the situation and shoot Eric, Leah frowned and gently nudged Eric out of the way, “Eric, I’ll shoot him if I really have to,” Leah snapped at him, though it was only loud enough for him to hear. Leah raised the gun again, her hands a tad less shaky now, her eyes set and her mind focusing on her determination to get both her and Eric out of there alive. “Eric, I need you to go down the stairs and make sure Blake isn’t…well, well enough to get up and come after us. We’re screwed if he is.” Leah frowned, not taking her eyes off Matthew. “Please don’t argue, just go!”
