Valarie watched him, breath short as she watched him walk away. She crawled over to the corner of the cell and waited, covering herself comfortably in her jacket. Minutes ticked by and even though it didn't take long, she started to get impatient. Hearing the pounding and click clang from the metal stairs, as she heard. She instantly knew it was prince, though she stayed when she was as he appeared from the shadows with keys in his hands and watched him unlock the door. Her heart quickened and she looked up and smiled halfly. "Talk to daddy?" she asked quietly. "What he say?"

"Come on." Casmir leaned down near her figure, and gently slid his arms under hers, lifting her to her feet. He took her arms behind her back, and told her quietly that she needed to stay still, that he wasn't going to hurt her.
Clamping iron cuffs onto her wrists, he ushered her out of the cell door, then a guard stepped before them, looking down at them, and frowning. "Prince Casmir, is this ne-" He was cut off by a deadly glare by Casmir, telling him that he had higher authority, and the large man submissivly stepped backwards, shrugging slightly.

Valarie smiled and just played sad, frowning as they passed a guard. For some reason, his touch made her heart quicken, the closeness made her want him more. She sighed and shook her head. She couldn't love him! Not the prince. She let him lead her forward quietly, happy to be out of the cells. Happy to feel the freash air even if it was for a short period of time.

Casmir was positioned behind her, his hands gripping her arms behind her back, holding onto the cuffs. She was doing a damn good job of looking sullen and sad, and he tried to keep an amused smile off of his face. He guided her quickly to the building that sat along side of the one they had just come up from, and ushered her inside.
It was still a jail, yes, but it was above ground. The cells were neat, and had beds, the floor not dirty exept for a bit of dirt. He walked her into one of them, letting her go, and quickly undoing the cuffs.

Valarie kept walking on, seeing the faces turn to them as she went on, looking on sad until she was led into another jail but this time, this was on ground. She smiled and looked inside. If she used her imagination, this could be a hotel room. She walked up and put her face through the small window, feeling the fresh air on her face. She sniffed it and turned to him wrapping her hands tightly around him, lucky no guards were around. "Thank you." she whispered.

Casmir was taken aback as she turned around and wrapped her arms around him, and he stiffly raised a hand, patting her back a few times before pulling away. He pursed his lips, his brown hair falling into his eyes a bit. "I'm sorry that it's not much, but it's better than the other." He said quietly, his voice soft and gentle.
Here, at least, she wouldn't have to endure the cold, damp prison undergroud, that was kept for the terrible lowlives and murderers... Wait, she was a murder, in other's eyes.

Valarie let go, and was kinda heart ached that she couldn't feel his touch anymore. She looked to her shoes and wiggled her toes nervously, heart racing. Finally, she looked up and gave a smile. "Definatly." Going over to the bed she sat down and looked at her feet, which now she took off her sandals.

"Alright then. I'll leave you be, unless..." Casmir trailed off, his eyes puzzled. He was going to say, 'unless you want me to stay', but decided that he shouldn't say that, because there was no reason he should stay in the first place. Clearing his throat, he shook his head, straightening. "Nevermind. I'll go now." He turned and strode out of the prison. As soon as he was outside, he ran a hand through his hair and shook his head.

Valarie whipped around to catch him starting to walk away. "Don't--" the door shut and she was in the silence of the room and suddenly, she was unhappy again. She sighed and toyed with the necklace for which her grandmother gave her. You will always be a great warrior. Don't let those others bring you down. She rephrased those words with a close of her eyes and a deep inward sigh.
