Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
"Stop, stop right there!!" A harsh, menacing command rang out behind Mike, just as he had been about to slip Leah into the basement. Her body was in full sight, unconcious, blood rushing down the side of her face. He froze, turning around, before lunging for the door, not in his right mind. Eric pushed his way through the line of officers, that had thier sleek black handguns trained on Mike, and cried out as he caught sight of Leah's unconcious body. Mike didn't have a choice, turning around and raising his hands as he was commanded to do so. Tearing Leah out of Mike's weakening grasp, he dragged her away and gently cradled her in his arms, zoning out, only able to concentrate on Leah, and if she would be alright. A firm, yet gentle hand on his shoulder made him snap out of it, and he realized that hot tears were streaming down his bloodied, bruised cheeks, using his sleeve to wipe the blood off of Leah's face.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Despite the fact that Leah was unconscious, her head was still pounding. Apparently her mind hadn’t completely shut off, for soon after, though not feeling anything, she heard shouts. Leah’s brain was now drifting in and out of consciousness, and she was vaguely aware of familiar arms wrapped around her, some sort of cloth running down the side of her face rather sloppily, and a few drops of hot liquid on her forehead. Leah’s chest was cold, but as her mind slowly let go of its protective state of unconsciousness, Leah’s eyes flickered open, halfway open, groaning slightly. Her vision was still fuzzy and she couldn’t make out the figure of who was holding her, nor the people around them, but she felt safe, as her mind took over and brought her back into the darkness of unconsciousness.

"Get her in, Get her in!" Leah was now strapped to a streacher, her head cradled slightly by Eric's trembling hands. Mike had handcuffs on, and was pressed against the hood of one of the squad cars, and Leah was being rushed to the Ambulance. Eric himself had almost been forced to go to the hospital, but had protested so firmly that they had given up on the idea, untill after the chase was over. He was also ushered into the back of the vehicle, and settled next to Leah as the doors were slammed shut, his hands cradling her head gently, tears streaming down his cheeks.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah was getting annoyed, drifting in and out of unconsciousness. Her vision was blurrier each time she tried to open her eyes, and her head’s pounding rang loudly in her ears. She felt hands around her face, holding her protectively, and she began desperately trying to hold onto being awake, wanting to find out who it was. The touch was familiar, but she couldn’t remember who the touched belonged to. A faint sense of longing touched her heart, and she knew that she’d known this person. Leah finally managed to get her eyes open completely, but much to her horror, she couldn’t see anything but white, and it hurt her eyes to look.

(Sorry also if I keep skipping ahead!)
Reaching the hospital in record time, the doors were thrown open, and Leah taken out. They didn't allow Eric to follow, and he stared with a dull gaze at the doors she had been ushered through. His shoulder's were slightly hunched, before he felt a hand grip one gently, pulling him around. The officer that he had been in the car with smiled at him sadly, nodding once. "Let's get you cleaned up, taken care of. She'll be just fine, relax. You'll be able to see her as soon as possible." With that, he gently herded Eric towards the desk, acting as a chaperone.

[ lol it’s fine ]
Leah was faintly aware of being moved again, but it wasn’t very smoothly, and each time the stretched went over something other than flat surface her head receiving a sharp pain as if somebody had hit her in the head with a baseball bat. Eventually, after numerous bumps, Leah let her mind take over as she fell into unconsciousness yet again, glad to be free of the annoying throbs in her head.
{ A Bit Later }
The next time Leah woke up, she was stretched out at a completely horizontal angle, which wasn’t the most comfortable, either. Groaning as she got her eyes opened, she looked around without moving her head, evaluating her surroundings. She got, now, that she was in a hospital, a heart monitor beeping steadily off to her left (rather irritable), and IV’s in her right arm. Immediately recalling what happened, Leah shot up, her head dizzying and almost knocking her out when she heard a nurse rush over to her, her heels clacking on the smooth tile flooring, pushing Leah back down gently, but adjusting the bed so it wasn’t completely horizontal. “Stay down, honey, we don’t want you hurting yourself anymore than you are already.” The nurse smiled reassuringly before leaving the room, Leah’s mind still racing on what had happened to Eric.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Eric was peacefully sleeping near Leah's bedside, his hand resting on her bed. He had been almost afraid to touch her in her state, his head resting lightly on his chest, which was rising and falling with each even, deep breath he took. His wounds, for the most part had been taken care of, and they had let him stay near Leah, as he had protested wildly when they had wanted him to rest, away from her. Giving in, he realized he had the art of purswasion on his side, and was now with Leah, though he wasn't awake.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah’s head hurt again. She cursed herself for moving so rapidly, but as she managed to calm herself down, she heard faint breathing underneath the monotonous beeping of the heart monitor. She turned her head to see Eric there, and her heart lifted considerably. He was sleeping, she could tell, noticing how calm and peaceful he looked while he slept. She was just close enough to brush him with her fingertips, and she smiled a bit, feeling her lip crack slightly. She reached over and took his hand gently in hers, and whispered, “Eric?”

A faint throbbing in the back of his temples annoyed Eric, and his deep sleep lightened a bit, as the faint pain persisted to grow worse. As something brushed against his fingers, he woke up all the way, cracking his eyes open and blinking once, the light making his head hurt even more. Pushing himself into an upright position, he turned his head slightly, his dark eyes widening as he saw Leah gazing at him, her face bruised and bandanged.
"Leah?" It was faintly a whisper, a breath of air, and Eric's heart constricted in his chest.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah stared at Eric, seemingly troubled in his peaceful slumber. When his eyes opened, Leah’s mind relaxed. For a split second, she was afraid he was dead, but she knew that was impossible, seeing as she had heard him breathing. When he said her name so faintly she almost missed it, Leah nodded a bit, trying not to move too much, lest her headache come roaring back. “I’m so glad you’re safe,” Leah whispered to him, barely moving her lips, her smile growing. In reality, she was afraid that Eric had been hurt much worse than he seemed to be now. He could be, but Leah wasn’t sure. He looked better than she’d expected, though, which took a load off of her shoulders.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
"You're ok." Eric simply stated, taking a moment to digest that fact. Taking her hand in his, and being very gentle, a smile spread across his face, and he leaned in closer to her, eyes desperate and searching. "You're, ok!" He exclaimed, lightly brushing her hair away from her forhead. He wanted to wrap her in a massive hug, and kiss her so hard, but knew that it would be extremly painful, as he had been in these situations before.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah laughed slightly, but it was short-lived. “Looks like you are too,” Leah murmured, her smile broadening at the look at his face. She’d been so worried… Although she hadn’t had much time to be worried with Mike. Leah suddenly remembered her torn shirt, but was thankful as she recalled she was now in the hospital-style dress. She looked in Eric’s eyes longingly, wanting to just reach up and pull him into a kiss, but she wasn’t sure she could even lift her arms anymore. A single tear fell down her face and she said, her voice cracking slightly, “I was so scared, Eric…” her smiled fading slightly.

Eric couldn't help himself, not any longer. He stood, then stooped down by her bed, leaning his head down to let his lips brush against hers, kissing her softly, not wanting her to have to move. Pulling away after a second or two, he shook his head, eyes saddened and exited at the same time. "Leah-" His deep voice cracked suddenly, and his dark eyes started to glitter with tears. "I was so, so worried! It's all my fault, everything!"

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah wanted to move her hands to his neck and keep him there forever, but she knew it wasn’t going to happen. Leah suddenly felt extremely emotional when Eric started talking to her, about how he was sorry, and she shook her head, afraid if she spoke she would start crying. After taking a centering breath, she said, her voice wavering, “I’m so glad you’re safe. You were just in time. I d-don’t know what he w-was planning…” Leah shuddered as another tear escaped her eyes, recalling the memory of his lips harshly pressed against hers.

"Shh..." Eric shushed Leah, very softly running his thumb over her lips, leaning down so his face was inches from hers, eyes deep and worried, glittering with unshed tears that threatened to fall down his cheeks. His dark hair was slightly matted with blood, and he just shook his head, brow's drawn together in a saddened, worried, and desperate frown. "Dont speak anymore Leah. You're body needs to rest, it needs sleep." He gently sat down on the edge of the bed, slipping her hand into his, and bringing his head down to kiss it gently, handling it gingerly, as if she was glass and would break with a single touch.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah’s eyes were filled with an unspoken fear, but she nodded simply and let Eric’s rhythmic voice soothe her. Without meaning to let it happen, a few more tears slipped down Leah’s face. She didn’t know what would’ve happened to her if Eric hadn’t shown up when he had. Her heart clenched painfully, the result: the heart monitor’s beeping changing ever so slightly. Leah let him kiss her hand. “I don’t want to sleep,” Leah muttered deftly. “I’m afraid that sleep won’t bring me any rest.” In truth, Leah was scared she’d simply have nightmares.

"Leah, dont cry." Eric's voice wavered slightly as he uttered the words, setting his jaw to keep himself from crying. Raising a thumb and lightly brushing away her tears, a few of his own dropped down onto her neck as he leaned in, before shaking his head slightly. "Rest. I'm going to be right here. Always." Making a promise to her that he was determined to keep, he set his jaw slightly, raising a hand and running it through his hair, in an attempt to calm himself down.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah nodded feebly; biting her lip to ensure no more tears would slip past her. She took in a deep, centering breath and stared at Eric longingly, lacing her fingers through his. “Thank you,” she whispered, trying to get herself to relax as she closed her eyes, pushing away all thoughts of Mike and everything he’d done or was planning to do. Eventually, she found sleep, but it was far from peaceful.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
As soon as Leah drifted into an unsteady sleep, Eric let his head fall into his open palm, tears starting to flow out of his eyes, running down through his fingers and falling onto the white floor below. Shoulders hunched, he was desperate to know why life had to be so fucking hard, why, for the two of them, it couldn't be the way every other teen's life seemed to be. Living now, was like a living hell, but he was determined to get through it, some way or another. It had seemed like the storm had temorarilly passed, but now it had come back in full force.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
The hallway was dark, foreboding, pictures hung slanted on the walls. Off to her right was a bedroom that had no windows, no closets, and no escape route. Positioned in the middle of the room perched a white bed with tall golden headboards that were made of thin wires, holding the bed together. Through the eyes of herself, she saw hope. Her body carried her into the room, but as soon as she turned to slam the door, she found no door to be shut. Cornered with nowhere to go, she watched in horror as the tall man approached her, using his size and strength as an advantage against her slender frame. Before a yell could emit itself from her throat, she was shoved onto the bed and her clothes were roughly discarded. The man positioned himself over her…
Leah sat bolt upright, in cold sweat. She was hardly aware of the fact she’d screamed, but her heart was racing—and it showed on the heart monitor—as she frantically tried to remember where she was. When she recognized where she was, she drew in a shaky breath and cupped her head in her hands, unable to keep the tears from flowing freely down her face, her petite figure shaking uncontrollably.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Minutes had passed, or perhaps it had been hours. Eric didn't know, and he also didn't care to know. Deep in thought and daydreaming slightly, a peircing scream of fear suddenly filled the silence, the heart beat moniter bleeping madly, as it had gotten posessed. Leah was sitting straight up in the bed, her eyes wild with fear and gut wrenching terror, and within a split second, Eric had pushed himself off of the chair, kneeling on her bed and wrapping her in a hug he hoped would be enough to comefort her without words, as he was afraid he couldn't speak himself.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah felt arms wrap around her, and as she’d finally assessed her location, she knew it wasn’t Mike. The touch was comforting, but it still didn’t calm her nerves. She drew in a racking breath, and, despite the pain, wrapped her arms tightly around Eric’s waist and cried unstoppably into his shoulder, her body still shaking with fear. Leah was desperately trying to push the lingering remains of the dream from her head, but the greedy look displayed on Mike’s face kept haunting her whenever her eyelids shut, and, if possible, she began to cry even harder.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Eric knew about the nightmares. He knew what they did to you, and he knew what it was like to experience them. Jolting awake and bolting upright in bed, heart racing wildly, body coated in cold sweat. And every time you closed your eyes, the dream continued on. Unknowingly, his arm's wrapped tighter around Leah, and he tried to sooth her, but found it almost impossible. This was his fault! Everything! Pulling away from her, tears welled up in his eyes and fell onto the blanket, before he shook his head. "This happened because of me! If you never would have met me, you would have been so much better off!" He cried out, before turning and pushing past the nurse that had hurried in, leaving the room.

Re: Never Alone. (Shiori)
Leah’s eyes were already red and puffy from crying when Eric pulled back, only moments later. Tears were in his own eyes, falling freely. When he removed himself completely from her and pushed his way away from her, out of the room, Leah put her hand on the IV, ripping it from her arm, wincing at the pain before swinging her wobbly legs over the side of the bed. She had made it to the door when two nurses took both of her arms and guided her (with some struggle) back to the bed. “Eric!” Leah cried, tears streaming out of her face now, not because of the dream, but because she was afraid Eric had just walked out on her. Forever.

(This topic just made me cry! He'll come back.)
Eric heard her cries fror him, and his heart wrenched inside his chest, tears streaming down his cheeks. Pushing his way into the mens bathroom, he kicked open one of the stall doors, before locking it behind him, sitting on the toilet seat and holding his head in his hands. His chest heaved with sobs that he didn't dare utter aloud. This mess had been caused soley because of him.
