She slunk nearer to the fire, then sat down on the ground, her 14 foot caramel wings spread out behind her. She glanced at him, but avoided eye contact. Swallowing, she cleared her throat.
"I dont have a favorate color. For me, there are more important things than that. Like surviving." She said, her voice hoarse because of all of the inhaled smoke.
"Thank you for saving me."

He sighed as he put the food down, halfway finished. "We should get to know eachother, you know, if we want to rebuild our species." He said, as he got up and streched. "I think it's time we should go, and I know of a place that we might be able to live in peace and rebuild our species." He said, with a kinda funny to serious voice. He opened his wings as he took two powerful downstrokes and rose out of the air.

"Wha-" She started, rebuild species? She was taken aback, and kind of grossed out. Before she could ask him what he meant, he had already risen into the air. She shook her head, leaping to her feet, then with a running start, leaped into he air, unfurling her wings. With a few powerful, strong downstrokes, she rose and flew fast, catching up with him.

"You should think about it, since were the only one left, the choice is in our hands." He said, as he caught a warm thermal. The heat soothed his wings as he passed over the land and was now flying over an ocean. "It's an deserted island, so stay on the look out."

"Think about what, exactly?" She snapped, but it didn't sound as harsh as she had wanted it to. To make up for the fail, she rose over him and flew directly above him, before whapping him lightly in the head with one of her strong wings.

He chuckled lightly continueing to flap in her embrace. "Kids is what I ment, you know?" He said as he silently angled his wings to the right when he felt something blowing infront of his face. "Stop." He said in a serious matter as he put his arm out infront of him, and jerked it out. "Turblence." he lowered himself as he tested the air, seeing that the turblence was dropping."We should make it to the island as fast as we can before the turblence blocks our path." He said as he held her hand as he carefully guided her thourgh the path, hopeing to get one of 'them' moments going. His worry grew more when the turblence was right above their heads. He pulled on her hand as he sped thourgh it, going at least 60miles per hour.

She crossed her arms over her chest. "Uhu..." Trailing off, she started as he clasped her hand into his larger one, but didn't pull away.
"Because screaming, squalling mutant babies are really atractive.." She teased, then a powerful updraft ripped her hand from his. She flapped powerfully, and was able to break out of it, looking a bit disoriented.

"Maybe you should veiw it from a different perspective, like in we might rebuild our species kind of thinking." He pesuaved, reaching her as he figured his way out of the turbulence. He spotted an island off ahead, and notified her. "There is it, follow me." He said as he flew towards the center, and landed on an wooden house. "I built this while I was on the run, they would also avoid it." He said as he landed on the latter and walked inside, turning on the inside with a light bulb. "I would just steal some stuff from stores when I needed it." He said, sitting on the counch."What do you think?" He asked.

She shook her head, laughing as she spotted a cozy looking house, smack dab in the middle of a small island. "Good work-" She said, ignoring his comment about saving the species. She would have to think that over.
The girl alighted on the roof, her huge caremel wings open as she dropped down to the ladder, ducking inside and raising her eyebrows at the inside. Giving a low whistle, she laughed.
"Cool!"

He rolled his eyes at her, then ran towards what appeared to be the kitchen. "I also got some stuff that isn't from nature, so take a look and see if your hungry." He said, and looked outside, then looked at her. "By the way, you never told me your name. My name is Colando, and your's is?"

She had just hopped onto the couch next to him, before he got up and headed towards the kitchen. As he intraduced himself, she smiled.
"Colando, I like it. It fits you." She said, before even realizing what she had said. "I dont know my real name, or if I ever had one. But you can call me Sage." She nodded, before standing and following him into the kitchen, her wings brushing agaisnt his.

Colando felt her wings. "Are you trying to turn me on?" He asked, stilling feeling the tingling sensation on his wings. "I need to go, I'll be right back." He said as he jumped down and flew off towards the shore. He touched down, feeling the sand inbetween his toes. "The last ones, and to die extinct." He mumbled the words out loud, as he watched the waves roll up towards his toes.

Sage opened her mouth to protest, that there was merley no space, but he had already taken off and was out of the window. Deciding not to follow, she sighed and rolled her eyes, opening the fridge. There, she pulled out lunch meat, cheese, bread, and everything else nececarry to make a sandwich.
As she assembled the food, she made one for Colando also, and hummed to herself softly. After she had finished, she put the remains of the food back, then brought her large sandwich back to the living room, where she slumped down on the couch, her wings extended and taking up most of the room.

He decided that his meltdown was childish, and flew back the the house. He landed quietly and shut the door as he came in, seeing the sandwhich on the counter. "Thanks." He mumbled as he laid down on the floor, eating the sandwich. "Taste's good." he said as he put the plate in the sink, then closed the curtains in the house.

Sage didn't say anything, just watched him with her keen, bright eyes. After polishing off the sandwich, she stood, heading back into the kitchen and quickly washing both of thier dishes off. She then found the cubbord and put them away, walking past Colando and making sure her wings were tight into her back. He had seemed... Weird, when they had touched.

He watched her go into the kitchen. "Sorry for the incident." He mumbled, barely getting it out. You can have the bedroom, I can sleep on the couch tonight." He landed on the couch, back first. "Night." He said as he turned off the light with a little rope.

"Nah, you can sleep in the bed. I'm going to stay outside." Sage climbed onto the balcony, then balanced on the rail, turning and giving him a small smile over her shoulder, before leaping off of it. To a normal person, that fall would have killed them. But as she dropped downwards, she snapped open her huge, powerful wings, and rose with a few downstrokes, speeding into the night, siloughetted against the large, full moon.

"Where are you going?" He said, getting protective. He opened his Grey wings, dappled with blue. He jumped off and gathered air under him, and avoided the tree next to the house. He felt the wind blow against him, making it hard to stay in the air. Dark clouds hovered in the distance, and the smell of thunder made him take another look. "Hurricane." He said as he flew higher, seeing the hurricane was miles across, and had to be at least a catigorey 4 or 5. Panic rushed into him as he turned off and flew, his wings beating like a humming bird. The hurricane was getting faster, it had to be going over 200MPH. It would leave the island treeless, and lifeless. Clouds swept past him as he scanned the island, looking for Sage. He went back to the house, looking for her.

Sage had been peacefully floating on updrafts, her eyes closed, dark hair whipping around her face. Her tawny caramel wings were extened to thier full length, and she had been about to flap, when a powerful updraft made her soar into the sky. Confused, she flapped her wings, gaining controll, but didn't drift again as she had before, but kept a close eye out. Realizing the sky overhead was full of thunderheads, she sighed, the wind growing stronger. She would have to turn back, so much for her relaxing night of flying. Suddenly, a huge boom of thunder shattered the still night, and the clouds opened, heavy rain starting to torrent downwards. And Sage was stuck in the middle of it.

Colando searched feverishly, as the tree's started to shake, bending in all directions. A large crack sounded as a big palm tree landed on the house, breaking it. He looked around as the floor was smashed. Another tree creaked as he struggled to take flight, the wind blowing Him in the oppisite direction. The tree fell on the house, making it unaccesible. Another gale force wind blew him off his wings, literly. He fliped back wards, landing on a tree. He felt pain in his back as he fell off, not before landing on his back again, adding more damage. He maneged to take off before the wind knocked down another tree. "Sage!" He yelled out as he rose above the tree, getting tossed around.

Sage worked her wings powerfully, struggling to stay aloft. The sea of wind blew her in all directions, and her wings felt like they were about to be torn from her body. She pushed agasint the gale, the lightning illuminating her desperate face, thunder booming through the sky. The rain pelted downeward, making her hair stick to her face, the torrents only growing heavier. Soon, the girl plummited downwards, her body stricking the large trunk of a tree, then crumpling to the ground, unconcious and limp.

The wind blew Colando towards the beach, making him land on his leg, spraining it heavily. The wave's caught him, pulling him into the water. He struggled to get into the air, and didn't know how to fight a rip current. He finally got above the water, drenching in the cold weather. He saw something along the water, and looked closely at it. "Sage!" He screamed, struggling to stay in the air, and out of the waves. Her body then got smacked by a wave, driving her under. He saw the last few air in her body, and dived after her. The rip tide pulled her limp body away from him. He went up for air as a wave smacked into him, feeling like his body was going to be riped apart from the force of the two pulls. He reached up again for a deep breath, then went under again. He swam with the rip current, getting closer to her limp body. He gave one last push and grabbed her hand, yanking her hard into his grasp. He surfaced right after a wave, seeing the swirl of wind less then a mile away. He surfaced from the water, getting smacked by a 20-foot wave. He remained airborne as he rose and flew towards the hurricane, seeing the storm get closer and closer. He put the girl stronger in his grip as he felt himself being sucked in, then pushed out. He angled his wings as he was propelled behind the hurricane, getting a boost. His wings ached as he glided across the ocean, staying under the clouds. Rain splashed his wings, making them heavy and numb. He saw land not too far away as he could barely fly, and his body shaking from hypothermia. He fell out of the air, struggling to staay balence. He landed on top of a tree, the tree's almost dry with the thick leaves. He felt thorns stick into his arms and legs as the thorns digged deeper when he landed. He shivered violently, then checked her breathing. She was still breathing, but he couldn't tell her tempature because his fingers felt cold. He flew down and landed on a house, looking like it was made by humans. He opened the door, hearing no sound and decided to go in. It was dark, but warm as he set the girl down on the ground. He took off her clothes and put the blanket on, trying not to look at her naked. He wrapped a few more blankets and scooted in, naked as well.(lol)

Sage's head nodded slightly, falling to the side. She was just barley concious, as her head had been hit pretty badly. Dried blood, mixed with wet blood caked the side of her face and the back of her head. A slight moan of pain escaped her dry, cracked lips, as her head began to throb. But soon, she could feel herself getting warmer, just hearing the sound of someone nearby. Not knowing what exactly was going on, and not able to pry her eyes open, she shifted slightly, turning onto her stomach, the blanket falling to her lower back. Her long dark hair was tousled around her head, and her caremel tawny wings laid limply on top of her.

Colando felt uncormfortable being around her....naked. He quickly got out of the covers when he felt warm and dry, and put his wet clothes on. They were a little wet, but his warm skin dried them fast. He put the fireplace on as he decided to explore the house. It was mourning as he checked out the food, getting water and some leftover burgers in the fridge. He warmed up the patty and the bread on the stove and then put some by Sage. He opened his mouth as wide as he could to try and bite the burger, which had to be at least 5 inches with all the toppings. Once he was done he got a wet towel and cleaned some of the blood off her, checking her wounds. He tied a cloth over her head wound and gave her some headache medicine he found in the bathroom.

Sage very slowly pried her lids open, blinking several, slow times. All she saw were fuzzy colors and shapes, and she squinted, trying to g=be able to see clearly once again. She moaned softly as she sat up, the blanket falling to her waist. As she realized she had no clothes on, she snatched up to her and then realized that Colando was sitting right there. A pink blush tinted her cheeks, and she brushed some stray strands of hair out of her eyes, still groggy, her head fuzzy.
A small, growing smile spread across her face, as her foggy brain realized what had happened.
"You saved meee," She slured, shaking her head and trying to wake up. "Again."
