Dan nodded his head, "I think so, son."

At this point, Cloud was already so upset he did not even care what Angel was up to. He grunted as he looked over the meager stallions they called studs. He watched how easily they were moved by her. He rolled his eyes and loped around the pasture, waiting and waiting for chip.

Scott look from dan to the cieling then let a breath out and finally said " well if you think so ill ask her out for a horse back ride today then maybe make her lunch or dinner" he said trying to smile

As angel talked and flirt with four or five other stallions who were amazed by her looks and charm, but she always found herself looking over at cloud, who was running around like a mad horse, she sighed not letting it get to her, as she but on a flirt smile and put her head down to graze only to lift it back up with a ear piercing squeal as one of the stallions nipped her rump. She pinned her ears and kicked him square in the jaw. As she landed she turned and walked to the conner where the pasture met where there was some shade, she sighed trying to relax

Cloud skid to a halt when he heard Angel squeal. He looked up at her and smirked when he saw a stallion nip her rump.He had to give him credit for being so brave. He chuckled as the stallion worked his sore jaw. He moved to a shadier spot of the pasture and began to graze some more. He would wait in silence for Chip to come out and the real fun would begin. He glanced a couple times at Angle then went back to grazing.

Dan smiled, "thats sounds like a good idea.No go on and finish up ya days work." he said and ushered him out the door.

Lynn stood along side the mare that Chip was mounting. She held her head tightly so she wouldnt move beneath him. She talked soothingly to her and stoked her head. "Ah Diamond Rose, i know Cloud aint gunna be to happy that you have bred with Chip." she said as she stroked her sweaty neck. The dappled mare grunted and then squealed as Chip violently rammed her back side as he heard Cloud's fuss out side.

Angel was not in the mood for anyone after that cocky stallion nipped her she smirked when she watched him work his sore jaw. One of the younger stallions came over to where she was, but instead of being nice when he gently touched her side through the fence post. Angel wheeled around so fast that before the stujd had time to move she nipped him right on the nose sending him falling straight on his rump. " that'll teach you to mess with me" she said as she turn her rump towards the stallions pasture and started to calm down as the sun's warmth made her sleepy.

After scott said yes sir and walked out of. Dan's office he went to go find lynn. He had checked the stallions barn, the yearlings barn and the brood mare barn which ment she was helping breed a mare. As scott walked into the breed room or barn he saw lynn but stayed by the wall until the stallion was done to talk to lynn about later on today. He smile as he watched her talk to the mare. It reminded him of his mom.

Cloud's head flew up again at the sounds of Angel making a fuss. He snorted as he watched the younger stud twitch his nose and lick off the blood. "Her attitude sure could use an adjusting." he muttered and went on grazing. Then he saw Chip enter the pasture all cocky like...

Chip was dismounted from Diamond and led away. Lynn hadn't noticed Scott standing there as she continued to sooth the white mare. She tossed some hair from her eyes and pieces that stuck to her face. As she unhitched Diamond, she turned and spotted Scott. She gave him a weak smile as she approached him with the mare. She could tell her wanted to talk. "Follow me out to pasture." she said. Lynn let Diamond go out to pasture and she slowly walked to the corner where she sighed and rest her sore bottom against the fence. She then noticed the new mare and a feeling of jealousy surged through her being..

Chip pranced into the pasture with his brown head high and his eyes twinkling. He had just been bred to the farm's delicacy and he knew Cloud wouldn't have it. He stopped mid-way into the field and looked around for Cloud who happily, but angrily came to him. "You bastard.." he growled as he laid his ears. Chip did the same, but laughed as he did so. "What is your problem..second best?"he teased.

After seeing it was a younger stallion, maybe only in his second breed season at stud angel felt bad, she sighed and turned towards the young stallion and whickered for him to come over as he did she apoligizes and lick his muzzle then groomed his shoulder. She smiled when realizing this stallion would make a nice friend but only a friend. angel saw a grey mare come into the pasture and go to the other shaded fence to relax, " she must be the one cloud was having a tamterum about" she mumble to herself after the young stallion walked off from where they were. She saw the grey mare stearing (sp?) At her so she smiled politely then looked over towards cloud as she heard his voice and another stallion vioce which sounded like they were about to fight. She watched and swished her tail blinking her ucey green crystal eyes.

Scott smiled as lynn invited him to walk out to the pastures with her. " she a beauty what's her name" he asked lynn about the grey mare after lynn had turned her out in the same pasture as angel. Scott smiled as he saw angel made a new friend with a young stallion she had probably been mean to. It was angels way of letting stallions know she would be in heat soon. She would be mean first then turn fiesty then flirting and when it came to the stallion that would breed her she would act all lovey dovey towards him. Scott looked back to lynn as he leaned against the railing " may I ask you something" he said with a smile

The young stud smiled at her and let her lick his nose. He eagerly accepted her apology and allowed her to groom his shoulder, but he dare not touch her again. He then walked away to watch Cloud. Diamond stayed her distance and watched Cloud from afar. She never really liked Chip, but did enjoy a good fight. The new mare smiled at her and she simply ignored her. Today was not a friend making day.
Cloud squealed, "In your dreams!" he was always one to take the first hit and so he did. He shoved Chip violently backwards. The sorrel stud stumbled, but launched himself at Cloud. He reared and boxed him in the shoulder. Cloud neighed a loud shrill and reared up to, boxing Chip right in the throat. The stud gagged as he came back down, but did not give up. Cloud whirled around and kicked out, cutting him in the gut. Chip bellowed in pain and moved off to the side, giving up. He glared at his enemy with angry eyes and flat ears, but knew this wasnt over. Cloud stood his ground, snorting and breathing heavy. With a nod, he turned on his heel and stalked off to the fence to greet Diamond who had made her way past Angel.

Lynn spoke, "Her name is Diamond Rose. She is the best brood mare on the farm and defiantly Cloud's favorite." She let her go into the pasture. She studied the mares who grazed lazily on one side then her haze shifted to the stallions. She sighed and rolled her blue eyes, "Of course Cloud is fighting..." she groaned. She turned away from the gate and looked up at Scott on the railing. "Shoot." she said and crossed her arms over her chest expectantly. She had chores to do still..

Angel watched the two stallions go at it giving each other several harsh blows before cloud pulled away victorious. She smile as cloud won, but moved away from the fence as cloud and dimonad came to meet at it. Angel lifted her head and saw scott and lynn at the gate with a whinny she made her way over to the fence, whickering to scott and lynn for some attention.

" you silly girl" scott said as angel came over and layed her head inbetween lynn and him. With a smile scott looked at lynn" rose might be the best brood mare here for now but wait till you see the champions angel produces" he said with a laugh as angel bodded her head in agreement, sending her mane in ever direction doing so. Scott wasn't just a local rider either angel and him had gone to the olympics and out of the three foals angel had, had two went on to be like their mom while the other one became a champion localy. " its a stallion thing but I hope they didn't hurt each other very much" scott said as he study the two stallions before turning back to lynn " hey do you want to go for a ride. You can bring cloud and ill bring angel and just relax for alittle while. I already cleared it with dan for us to take off for alittle while if you would like" he said with not only a smile on his face but it seemed that his icey baby blue eyes were smiling at her too as well.

Cloud watched Chip from the corner of his eye as he nuzzled Diamond affectionately. they did not exchange much words other than Diamond complaining about how Chip had purposely hurt her and how angry she was to be carrying his foals. Cloud snorted as anger flared again, but he would get over it. They said they missed each other and grazed along side the fence. The palomino stud kept an ear on Lynn and her guy friend who he was leery of.

Lynn smiled as Angel made her way over and graciously stroked her thick neck. "That neat." she said as she looked into the mare's lucid blue eyes. Lynn recoiled internally when Scott mentioned going for a ride together and that he had cleared it with Dan. That was odd..somehow, she knew Dan was behind this. He was always trying to get her out into the world and meet new people, live a normal life, and move on from her rough past. At first, she wanted to decline and make up an excuse but that would hurt his feelings and she would be letting Dan down. With a silent sigh, she peeked around Angel's massive skull and said, "I..guess so." she met Scott's icy gaze that matched his mare's. She was doing this for Dan, hers or Scott's benefit..

Scott smiled as lynn said yes. " great ill meet you back out here with angel in ten minutes" scott said with a grin as he went and got angels lead and halter and slipped her out of the pasture." Ready to stretch your legs girl" he asked his mare with a laugh as she tossed her head and prance her way to the broodmare barn, her ears prick and head raised, tail flagged like a banner, like arabains do. " you silly girl stop showing off for all thoses studs" scott said as he finally got angel into the broodmared barn, he went and got his english pleasure riding saddle and angels bridle. All of angels tack, brushes, and coats and halters not only had her name on it but it also had beautifully detailed angel wings that scotts mother had scetched on a piece of paper for angel before she had died.

Angel happily pranced along to the broodmare barn knowing that they were going for a ride meaning she would get to stretch her legs. She whinnied a warm whinny to the mares still inside then let scott tack her up. She nudged him telling him to hurry up.

After tacking angel up scott lead her out of the barn to wait for lynn and cloud

Lynn plastered a smile to her face and watched as the duet strolled away. When they were out of ear shot, she groaned and pulled open the stud gate."Come on, Cloud. Were going for a ride.." she hollered. Cloud lifted his head and trotted up to her, flagging his tail in the breeze. She led him in by a technique she thought him as a foal. She guided him by click her right and left side of her tongue for directions. She set Cloud up at the cross ties near his still and prepared him. She acquired him in his english saddle with his name across the back go the seat in silver and his silver pad with his name in black. She put black wraps around his legs to prevent cuts from the brush. Lynn fixed his black bridal over his head and adjusted the clasp. She traced the silver name with her finger. With a grunt, she led him outside.

Cloud waited patiently while Lynn tacked him up. He loved going for rides. It was very rarely if they went with other horses because he was so aggressive. He was kind of confused though. Lynn was acting weird all of sudden, reluctant almost. He shrugged it off and followed her outside.

Once out, Lynn came to Scott and Angel. She easily climbed into the saddle and straddled Cloud, ready to go. "Ready?" she asked as she blew wisps of hair out of her pale, freckled face.

Angel shook her head as they waited for lynn and her mount to tack up. " be good for once" scott wishpered to angel as he ajusted her dark cherry colored bridle and her saddle. He patted angels thick yet slender silky neck as he checked angel's white leg wraps and made sure her white saddle pad with green trimming that matched her eyes was just right before lynn and cloud came out. Scott turned when he heard lynn and hoof beats. " yah I'm ready" he said as he mounted angel and turned her toward lynn and cloud. Scott could sense that lynn didn't really want to be here but he put it aside.

Angel stood still while scott ajusted everything, but she wanted to get going. She turned her elegant head towards the stallion barn where she could make out a horse and rider coming out. She whickered a greet then she saw it was lynn and cloud. She pricked her ears forward as scott mounts and playfull pulled at the riens wanting to start walking. But settled down when lynn and cloud got closer

Lynn walked a impatient Cloud up to Scott and Angel. She sighed and gave him a small smile. "Let's go then. You lead." she placed Cloud behind the mare and waited for them to go. She knew to keep a respectful distance because that was polite, but also because Cloud would easily flirt with Angel's ass.

Cloud snorted and pressed forward, his legs inching to get moving! He jiggled his reins when he was placed behind Angel and nickered to her, watching her back side intently. He would wait before he gave her a smart comment.

Scott nodded his head and licked his tongue to angel who gladly took off at a springy trot down the path inbetween the pastures. Scotty smiled as angel whinny in pleasure stretching her legs and flagged her tail, the wind making it look likne live fire of multi colored fire.

Angel had her ears pricked and was soo happy to trot around the property. She looked back at cloud and whickered a greeting back but kept trotting on.

" so where would you like to go" he said as he looked back to lynn, scott was. A very good horsemen. He had been riding since he was little. He felt at piece when he was riding angel.

Lynn watched as Angel moved onward, picking up her pace to an even trot and flagging her multicolored tail. She nudged her studs sides and he quickly jumped into action, a bit dramatically, picking up his hooves in a showy manner as he trotted after Angel. He bobbed his head and lifted his tail letting it stream like a banner of white flame.

Cloud was happy to be out and moving again. It was hardly ever these past few months that he got to go for a leisure ride with his girl. He tugged his reins, playfully trying to knock them from her hands, but it failed. He easily caught up with Angel and hung his head, relaxing as they went.

The red head stared at Scott's backside. "I dont know." was what she answered. She closed her eyes for a minute and sighed. She felt each step her stallion took and the way he constantly shifted his weight. She had to admit it was peaceful to finally get away from the barn but it annoyed her that Dan set it up.

Scott smiled to himself as he watched lynn and cloud come after them. He could tell that this ride would help everyone get to know each other. He watched as cloud showed off, but he was soon brought back down to earth by angel, who started todo almost a prance type trot, which made her tail bounce around before relaxing at an easy walk.

Angel let her scent out before cloud caught up with scotty and her. She whickered almost silently to cloud as she relaxed enjoying his company. " sorry about earlier I guess I was little jealous" she said softly for she hated to be wrong or even tell others she was wrong. Angel shook her lucious (sp?) Mane before looking at cloud with her soft crystal green eyes

Scott ran a hand through his longish dark brown hair thinking of where to take her, his unlce aunt and their six kids lived not to far away on a eventing farm. He knew that there was a small creek up ahead a ways that was beautiful this time of year. Scott smiled gently and looked at her " there a special place maybe ten minutes away I usually go to when I would come visit my uncle and aunt" he said as they went in that I direction

Cloud grunted as Angel's scent drifted to his nose. It was such a temping tease the way it danced around his flared nostrils and caressed his masculine senses. She was oblivious as to how it affected him. He closed his eyes and tried to push away the burning desire to mount her back side right then and there, but he would be taking the risk of hurting Lynn and hurting Scott. Like that would bother him.

Lynn nodded her head as she pulled Cloud around to trot beside Angel. She still kept a little behind Scott. She stayed just past his shoulder. She ran an hand through her flaming hair and sighed. There were so many places around her she knew about. Little secrets and hiding places she had found as child, but they were hers. She settled for where Scott chose. "Sounds wonderful." she commented to let him know was aware of him.

The palomino stud was slightly caught off guard by her sudden apologies, but he replied back cooly, "Its typical." and gave her an award winning smile.

as angel and scottylead lynn and cloud to scotts secret place, a light breeze blew making angels mane and tail look like fire that was alive, angel had her ears pricked knowing exactly where they were headed. scott simled as angel went form a walk to a springy trot then settled back to a light and airy walk next to cloud.

scott nodded at her words and turned onto a shade dirt path he smiled to himself and gave angel the quew to gallop. angel reared alittle and took off knowing where to turn and when to jump. scott looked over his shoulder and smiled at lynn " catch us if you can" he called as angel whinnied in pleasure of having her head to run. they run through the trees jumping a few fallen trees, hearing the creek running near them, pushed angel and scott to go faster to get there before lynn and cloud to set up the little picnik he had made for them

as scott and angel got to the creek first he set up the picnik. laying down a nice large blanket, placing a basket and candles down since it was getting dark he brought out a radio and turned it on as it played soft country music in the back round. he had placed lights in the trees that looked like a million little stars . he also had lantures in the trees as well

Lynn watched Angel. The sweet mare's whole body seemed to vibrate with excitement. Lynn knew that 'angel knew where she was going. Out of no where, Angel took off in a burst of speed and Scott was shouting something over his shoulder. Cloud was surprised and snorted. After realizing it was a race, the stud wanted nothing more than to follow and win. Lynn let him go.

Cloud extended his neck and leveled his head. He lengthened his strides that he could run faster to catch the mare ahead of him. He was not going to let her escape. Lynn gathered up the reins and held on with ease, letting Cloud do the work. Soon, Angel and Scott were gone from view. They knew where the secret place was and had gotten way a head. Lynn pulled Cloud to a slower gait. The stud chomped at the bit waiting to go and catch her. With a sigh, she let him take off again. The two galloped through the woods, clearing tree after tree and a small creek in hot pursuit of the duet.

Lynn tugged Cloud to a dramatic halt as they spotted the two. Cloud grunted and kept on walking across the pasture to Angel. Lynn's eyes looked up at the picnic sight and moaned. Scott had not only set up a picnic, but a romantic picnic and she gulped. He had placed lanterns in the big trees and candles a top the big blanket with was ladened with food. Climbing off of Cloud, Lynn let him loose to graze with his mare. She approached Scott slowly, chewing the ends of her hair and watching him leerily.

Scott turned from angel who he was brushing and picking some dirt from her coat when he heard cloud and lynn approach. A small smile formed on his lips as he turned angel loose to graze as cloud walked to her. Jake kept his hands in his pockets as he walked up to lynn " just so you know dan did ask me todo any of this" he said refering to the picnik and the secret place. He wasn't trying to be too romantic to make it like wonderland to help both of them relax.

Angel looked up when she saw cloud and lynn she smiled and whickered softly to him as she walked away from scotty to go graze but still close by the creek, that ran just softly enough tomake this place that much more magical. She looked up and pricked her ears and cloud came her way. Angel swished her tail and extend her muzzle to cloud in a greeting

Scott looked around him and sighed " welcome to my wonderland. My mother brought me here it was our spot when I needed my alone time or time to think or train angel" he said smiling at angel before looking back to lynn " we can sit down if you would like"

Lynn nodded her head. A short, single bob that made her hair fall over her shoulders and spill around her face. She looked over his work, the candles and the food. She gazed at the lanterns filling the trees then out to the wondrous place.

Cloud smiled and returned her greeting, nickering softly and muzzling her cheek. He lowered his thick skull to to the ground and started to graze.

Lynn stood at the very edge of the blanket and sighed, watching the sky and then glancing around the pasture. She tried to imagine a little Scott and his mama playing here or him with a young angel. "Alright." she whispered and sat down. She clutched her arms over her mid section and crossed her legs.

scotty smiled softly at lynn as they sat down almost at the same time. " i hope oyur hungry" he said as he started to pull food from the basket. he first pulled out home made chicken salade that had walnuts and sweet tangy grapes in it. he then pulled fresh cresents out to make sandwhiches with. scott them pulled a large container of fresh fruit salade which had strawberries, black berries blueberris, kiwi and pinapple. " and finally for desert my mothers home made crumbrule" scotty said as he pulled to small circular containers from the basket before he pulled a thing of sweet tea and a few bottles of water out for them to drink. everythign was his mothers recipies

angel smiled at cloud as he made his way over to her, she softly nuzzled his muzzle, then she let her large with danity head go back to grazing, the pink and orange sunset reflected off her own multicolored coat as she flicked her long tail relaxing by cloud

scott made lynn a plate with a little bit of everything on except desert, then he made himslef a plate and smiled at her
