ZAnder chuckled at her expression and tossed his black mane. "My father ran me off of course. But i was suppose to stay and..." he started but then stopped. He glanced over at Zeeta then leaned closer to her sister. "I was suppose stay and be the prince of our herd, but i did not want to." he finished in a hushed whisper. Really, Zander was suppose to be the prince, but he did not have a mate so he was banned until he found one.

Zander blinked. "Like what?" he asked confused. Surely he had only glanced at Zeeta to make sure she wasn't listening hadn't he?

Zander snorts and tosses his skull back and momentarily lays his ears back. They are lost in the sea of his black mane before he comes back down and sets them erect again. "She has every right to, i assume. I mean, i did nearly barge in here and ask personal questions.." he said with a nod of his head and flick of his ebony tail. He was leery of Zeeta and kept a close blue eye on her.

Peeta watched him then put her head down and started to graze her eyes not leaving him, she didn't know what to say. She flicked her tail at some flies that were bothering her, she stomped her hoof in frustration to get rid of them

Zander sighed and shook his black pelt. He turned away from Peeta and cautiously approached the water were Zeeta was playing. He lowered his mug to the surface and started to drink. He smiled as the water slipped past his fuzzy lips and moistened his dry throat. When finished, he lifted his skull and stared out, water dripping from his white whiskers.

Peeta lifted her head and watched him, she wondered why he hadn't left yet. she flicked her tail and went back to grazeing
Zeeta hear him coming, she lifted her head and when he got a drink she stomped in the water. She walked away, under the weeping willow that her sister before was dozeing under and she herself laid down to take a nap, too tired to care to watch Zander.

Zander moved his head away as Zeeta stomped the shallow water and the droplets rained onto him. He let them sit awhile, gazing at them. He thought they looked thousands of tiny diamonds slipping and rolling down his ebony coat. He smiled and then shook them off. With a sigh, he walked slowly to a fir tree and rested beneath it.

Peeta looked at Zander then to her sister, "I don't think so.. not yet." She saw the anger in her sister's eyes, "look he's just as lonly as us."

Zeeta knew Peeta was right, he was just as lonely as they were. She snorted and walked away from her sister.

The black stud was vaguely aware of someone watching him. It gave his neck prickles and he jerked awake to find Peeta looming over him. "Hello, Peeta." he said slowly. He yawned and then got to his hooves.

Zander smiled a soft and understanding smile, the effort straining at the corners of his soft mug and causing him to wince as his lips cracked from being so dry. "Its understandable." he offered, brushing off her apology as he started for the creek again.

(Yeah, but I turn 18 in January and I leave for college next fall. I've been busy applying, and now that I've been accepted I'm busy applying for scholarships.)

Peeta watched him walk away and snorted wondering if he even trusted them. Peeta walked around looking for a soft spot to lay down to wait for her sister's return.

Peeta had put her head down on her forelegs when she laid down, now she picked it up and looked at the sky. It was getting late and she was getting worried. She stood up and walked to the edge of the clearing, daring not to go any further for fear of getting lost, she looked out in the direction that her sister went and sent out a low nicker. She let her head droop and sighed, her sister wasn't coming back tonight.

Zander watched Peeta wander over the edge of the clearing where the trees of the dark forest met the empty grass. He kept his eyes trained on her and tried to read her emotions. It wasn't hard. Her whole body radiated worry. His perked at the soft of her distressed whinny. Snorting softly, he shifted and his black hide the caught the light of the setting sun. "Where did she go?" he called out calmly.

Peeta ignored him with the obvious answer, she walked to the weeping willow and laid down facing the trail. If her sister didn't come back tonight it would be the longest time that they've been apart.

Zeeta (miles away) turned a corner and found out that she was lost. She sighed and looked up at the tress, "there's got to be a way back." she shook and kept going, feeling that she was being fallowed. keeping her ears open to the noises around her. She heard twigs snap and dried up leaves crumple under her follower's foot steps, to decompose in the months to come. She couldn't smell anything, just the forest and the normal forest animals. She thought about her sister as the sun set to the west. What was she doing, was she okay with that stallion? Zeeta perked her ears behind her and saw a dark stallion. She shivered, she knew who it was, but he didn't bother her. She isn't the one that he wanted, he wanted his other daughter. He just turned and walked a different direction with a evil look in his eyes. Zeeta stopped shivering and watched him go, hoping that he didn't find her sister.

Peeta glanced at Zander and saw him asleep. She couldn't sleep, not without her sister being near here. Plus someone needed to stay up and keep watch, from what she didn't know. She laid her head down and just watched the trail wondering where she could be at and if she was okay. Just as she was asking herself these questions she heard twigs snap. Peeta stood up as fast as she could and looked around in a fright. She hoped it was her sister. It wasn't. I black stallion came out of the woods, grinning. She pinned her ears and walked over to Zander hoping he would wake up.

Helakon stepped forward into the clearing, grinning from cheek to cheek. He found her, his prize daughter. The one that he needed. "Hello Peeta. Come say hi to your daddy." He kept walking to her and bareing his teeth. "Did you find a mate." when he reached Peeta he looked down at her, "or is he just a low life?" Her father looked down at the young stallion and felt the urge to tear him to shreds.

(OCC: sorry it's so long. my writer's block is gone finally. haha)

Zander's ear twitched at a sound in the distance. He continued to doze until he heard Peeta's small hooves moving closer to him. She seemed a little worried and frightened. He shifted and then froze when he heard a second voice. It was a male's voice and he addressed Peeta as his daughter. Opening his eyes, Zander backed up a little bit and grew tense.
"A low life?" he huffed, jerking his head up in disgust. The gesture sent his black mane in a frenzy, swarming around his head and completely obscured his ears that now lay flat against his skull. "Im actually a prince. The prince of Jasmine's Legacy."
The black stud straightened up, puffing out his chest and tightening his muscles to appear bigger than what he really was. Was this the stallion the girls had been referring to earlier? The one who kicked them?
