[Guardian Angel]

Flame~
I take on last look around at the place I call home. All the animals were readying for slumber and the crckets began to chirp. I sigh happily and walk to Smoky, smiling all the way. I lie down near him and drape my head over Spark and sleep peacfully.

[• Echo]

Smoky~

I look around, listening to the night animals and the wind whispering gently in the trees. I sigh peacefully adn place my head over Flame's back, feeling at peace, then drift into a light sleep.

[Guardian Angel]

A wolf watches silently on the trees, her figure radiating hatred for both the adult horses. They had killed her son and she was back for revenge. She scooted closer to the edge of the tree line and feasted her eyes upon the young filly, taking in the scents.

Flame~
I lifted my head up and glanced about, sniffing the air for something I couldn't see. I felt uneasy and in danger. I stood up quickly, taking a protective stance over Spark and flattening my ears against my skull.

[• Echo]

Smoky~

I feel Flame stand up adn open my eyes, raising my head. A strange yet familiar smell fills my nostrils and I stand quickly, eyes looking around warily, flicking my tail. Wolf. In no time I was beside Flame, standing slightly infront of her and Spark, looking around, nostrils dialted, ears swivelling.

[Guardian Angel]

The wolf smiled from deep in the shadows. Even in the dark, her white teeth glistened as well as her yellow eyes. She exited the trees, her body slender and sleek all the while muscular and fit for a she-wolf. Her black coat shined with health under the moon light from the night sky. Her breath rises before her as she speaks, "Oh don't fret young stallion..." her voice slick and her eyes dart to the foal and back.

Flame~
I snort and toss my head angrily, my orange mane flying up around me. I stamp my hoof and watch the wolf with worried green eyes as I stood over Spark.

[• Echo]

Smoky~

I bare my teeth at the she-wolf before me.
"Don't touch them," I say, body tense, ready for an attack. I stood as calmly as possible, guarding my mate and foal.

[Guardian Angel]

The she wolf throws back her head and howls a eerie note and returns her gaze to the stallion. "Oh I won't touch them..." her voice was light but full of clever and slyness. Out no where, 4 other big wolves appear from the darkness, snarling andd growling as drool drips from there mouths. "My sons!" she cries. "Here is your brother's killer!"

Flame~
my mind races with options as more wolves appear. Should I run with Spark or fight with Smoky?! I whinnied a loud shrill and stomped nervously around, swinging my hindquarters.

[• Echo]

Smoky~

I bare my teeth at the wolves.
"Run," I say to Flame. "Take Spark and run." I said these things so softly that the wolves couldn't hear, barely moving my lips and keeping my eyes on them.

[Guardian Angel]

Flame~
I widen my eyes and whisper, "Were trapped in a circle..." I glance around looking for a weak spot but all the wolves were big and muscular. I look down at Spark and whisper harshly in her ear, "Stay near me where ever I go and durning whatever I do!" I look at the wolf closest to me and I bring in my hind leg. I kick it out, sending dirt and grass and dust in his face. I lurch forward, Spark sprinting by my side through the woods.

The she-wolf watches them closely. She knows their talking but she can't pick out words even though she guess. She looked at a her sons, a evil smile playing on her lips. A sudden out burst from her right had het whipping het head around and growling. "Nikro, Jaden, and Sinster get the mare and foal! I want them alive for now! Trenton you help me with the stallion!" she shouts as the 3 males dash off snarling. The remaining two snap their jaws at Smoky. "I'll get my revenge for you killing my first son..." her voice like velvet.

[• Echo]

Smoky~

I bare my teeth and pin my ears at her, lashing my tail out behind me. Somehow I force myself not to think about Flame and Spark, knowing that they could probably outrun the wolves. I snake my head into the air at the she-wolf before me.
"I'm guessing it's more of a 'you'll die trying' kind of situation," I say, my voice deadly smooth as I stomp my feathered hooves.

[Guardian Angel]

Flame~
I dart through the trees, Spark close at my side as we manuver their tightly set bodies. We bound over longs and brachs stumbling every so often hoping to out run the advancing wolves. I hear their taunting voices and angry snarling not far behind us and I urge Spark forward.

The 3 males race after the mare and foal with quick sure-footed bounds. The two are in their sight as they run. The she wolf and her son shift as they watch the angered stallion. The she-wolf snorts like she just heard a worthless joke, "I believe it will be your family that will die trying to escape to sons. As for you, we will beat you until you loose your strength. I don't plan on killing you...." now her voice was flat and expressionless and moved around Smoky in a circle, her son circling him in the other direction.

[• Echo]

Smoky~

I bare my teeth, waiting for them to attack first.
"What would be the point in that? Then I would just learn and be stronger when my strength came back to me, don't you think? Let me live so I can kill you all later in life?" I snort angrily, ears lost in my sea of mane as I shook my head angrily.

[Guardian Angel]

Flame~
I skid to a halt as we reach a dead end. Rocks and boulders of various sized blocked our path and caused certain death of us for sure. I pace back and forth ferioucly, keeping my ears flat against my skull. Spark shivered by my side, keeping pace with me like my shadow. I heard the wolves getting closer and i shoved Spark into a crevis(sp?) in the rocks and told her to hush. I whip arund to face them, my teeth bared as i swing my hindquarters around angrily.

The 3 sons slide to a stop as the ysee the mare and slowly walk torwards her, wondering where the foal is. It was a smart move on her part because two wolves decided to search around the rocks for Spark on the other side. the last wolf chuckled loudly which sounded wicked and evil. the she wolf laughed a witchy laugh and stared hard eyed at Smoky. the son left wit her lurched forward and pretended to nip the stallion. he just barely nippped his hindleg and bounced back snarling.

[• Echo]

Smoky~

The moment he darts at me I strike out with a hind hoof, catching him in the ribs as he bounds back. I hear a slight crack and turn to face the shewolf, one ear half back as I listened to the other two.

[Guardian Angel]

Flame~
I keep an ear cocked to the side as I listen for the other wolves that went searching for Spark. I bared and teeth and reared up screaming as I pawed the air hoping to scare them off.

The wolf yelpped but continued standing and snarling, favoring his left side where a rib was smashed. He lurched again, clawing the Smoky's back before leaping over him to the other side. The she wolf watched the play, humor dancing in her eyes.

[• Echo]

Smoky~

I strike out with my hind legs at the wolf, my hooves aime straight for his head. I feel an impact and teh wolf shot away from me, but I was unsure if I had killed him or not. At the very least, he was probably now bleeding internally. I swing my head into teh air, eyes blazing with anger and slight pain, teeth abred, ears pinned flat against my skull.

[Guardian Angel]

The wolves continued circling the rocks trying to sniff out Sparks. He was flung back, hitting a bush after his head was struck by the horses hooves. He laid there a minute, whinning in pain and agony. Blood oozed from his ears his nose and from a deep gash in his head. The she-wolf was furious as anger built up in her body and prepared to boil over. She lunged for Smoky, bite his leg and bouncing back snarling. She thrust forward and almost had her jaws clanched on her nck when she was shoved to the side by another larger wolf.

Flame~
I stood watching them circle preparing for a time I could attack. One swerved close to me, and I lunged at it, baring my teeth. He skitted back and then smiled. He tossed his head back and let out a howl and the others came running. Fear shot through my veins as I knew they had discovered Spark.

[• Echo]

Somky~
I bare my teeth, kicking at the she-wolf with my good leg as she darted back, snaking my head into the air. I reared up and took a slight step back before lunging at the she-wolf, adotping their ways of attack as my own. Lunge, strike, and jump back. My foreleg struck out at her as I jumped back, tail flicking behind me angrily. i hear a howl in the distance and snort angrily, ears pinned flat against my head. My leg hurt to put too much weight on it, but I didn't let the she-wolf see it, knowing she would have found a weakness then. So instead, I put as much weight on it as possible, making it look as though it didn't hurt.

[Guardian Angel]

The she-wolf cried out and yelpped in pain and fury. As she dodge the stallions blows, getting struck by a few she kept her dying son in her view. A large shadowed wolf emerged from the trees and lunged at her. She was flung back, landing near a sharp rock just missing it. The wolf snarled in her face and lifted a paw as to strike her but then turned to Smoky. His eyes softened alittle as he tried to reach the angry horse, "Go! Go to your mate! I'll find you later!" he was afraid the horse wouldn't trust him.

Flame~
the two other wolves appeared and they started to gang up on me, trying to push me back from the crevice Spark was in. I flattened my ears and lurched forward and bounced back again. One wolf leapt at me and I reard up, striking out and hitting him square in the jaw. "Smoky!!!" my shrilling voice rose up into the air.

Smoky~

I glare at the shadowed wolf, for an instant not beleiving him. But I hear Flame's terrified cry and spin on my heel, galloping towards the sound, limping on my foreleg slightly. As soon as I reach her I swing my head up in the air, striking out at the head of the wolf nearest her.

(Shadow wolf---Clyde)
(she-wolf----Kinny)

Clyde~
I watch him leave and turn my attention back to Kinny. "I outta end you now!! Your a terrible thing you and your blood thirsty sons!" I snarl in her face. Kinny cowers away. "Im going to leave you here to die...." she cut me off. "Go to them you worthless mutt! I'm glad I left you! You'll never make it following your dinner around like a lost pup!" she spat the words as blood oozed from her mouth. "Shut up!" I growled. I swipped her across the face and loped after Smoky.

Flame~
I saw Smoky limping along the path to us. I reared up and tried to attack another wolf. I jerked Spark out of her hole as a shadowed wolf appeared attacking the others. I was confused but urged Spark on as we escaped the fight.

Kinny~
I wriggled closer to my dying son as blackness tainted my vision. Blood was seeping from my nose and ears and it trickled down my throat and out my mouth. It was nasty and metallic. I nosed him and he shuddered slightly. "Baby...?" I ask softly. He moans a s then gurgles a muffled "sorry" before falling silent. Tears fall from my face as I let out a weak howl and begin to cry louder for the loss of my second son to the same stallion.

~ Smoky ~


I see the shadow wolf come in behind me and snort, tossing my head. I swing my head to watch Flame and Spark disappear, glad they had made it out of the fight and away from the wolves. I snake my head high into the air, pawing at the ground and baring my teeth at the wolves.

Flame~
We kept moving, stumbling over hidden rocks and vines that littered the forest floor. Spark kept up the best she could though I could see she was tiring. We finally broke through the tree line and came to a empty pasture. It held little life but it was safe. I stood still with my neck bent and my head hung low trying to catch my breath while Spark nursed. I checked her over for cuts. Both of us made it out unscathed.

Clyde~I fought along side Smoky, jabbing at Kinny's sons with all the hatred in my heart I had for them. Together we killed or ran the remaindes off. I stopped and stood trying to get my breathing back to normal before I had to explain myself to the him.

[• Echo]

~ Smoky ~

I see that the shadow wolf was fighting the she-wolf's suns and fight beside him. FInally they all lay either dead or were gone. I snort, turning my head to look at the shadow wolf.
"Who are you?" I ask cautiously, sidestepping away from the nearest corpse that lay, trampled and bloody, or slashed and limp.

[Guardian Angel]

Clyde~
I shake and look at him with dark black eyes, "I think it would be easier if I explained with Flame near." I stated as I started walking in the direction Flame went, leaping over the few dead wolves. I stopped and turned to look at him, "Will your leg be able to support you to her location alright?" the breeze ripped through my jet black coat.
