[Guardian Angel]

(Dimming Flame POV)
Life is never easy for any horse no matter his up raising. Life will always throw hard obsticals in even the boldest, bravest horse's path. Life is a challenge and isnt ment to be taken lightly. Everyday is a day of survival and those who are fit, will make it and those who are not will sadly face death.

Standing in the shadows of the deep forest tree line, i peer out at the vast landscape laid out before me. I take a few causious steps out into the sunlight. The sun is bright in my eyes since i have been traveling in the darkness for so long. It makes me happy to finally see the sweet, lushisness of the grass. Its so green and inviting i cant help but snatch a few blades. The breeze blows around me, stirring the leaves of trees. I trot out farther into the open, the sun reflecting off of my red coat. Even though it is dusty and dirty, caked with mud and gunk it still shines brightly. It shines like burning fire and then it fades to ash as it goes down to my black legs. the breeze which has picked up a tad, tugs at my black and gold streaked mane and tail. i raise my head to the blue, cloudless sky to catch any scent of horses. I get nothing so i continue trotting on.
I stop to admire a red tulip when i get an uneasy feeling in my stomach. The kind of feeling where you think someone is watching you and you are afraid to turn and see? I elevate my elegant head from the flower and peak behind me. I see nothing. I listen...still nothing. I smell the breeze again...nothing. I decide to keep moving. The feeling stays with me and as i go farther across the praire, it increases.
I stop one last time to inspect my surrounds with a keen eye. My gaze travels across grass, rocks, trees, a wolf, a stream...my head whips back around. A wolf! I rear up and scream a warning to it as it slnks closer. i paw the air and toss my head arond trying to look scary. I growls at me and i run. I take off at a sprint, galloping over flat earth. My arabian build will carry me far, hopefully farther away from the pursuing wolf. I call out to any horses willing to help me!

Smoky Dream~ I canter into the meadow, my proud Arabian head tucked gracefully, my neck arched. The wind blew my silky black mane and tail around me, and the sun gleamed off my dark chocolate coat that faded to the color of ash when it reached my legs. I tossed my head up and sli to a stop, half-rearing, and whinnied loudly. I landed with a quiet thud and shook my mane and tail, stretching my neck down to graze, my tail flicking away flies. A wind blew through my mane and tail, bringing with it the scent of another horse. I put my head up, my ears pricked forward, my nostrils dialted to catch the scent again. I could have been a living statue if it weren't for the wind rustling my mane and tail and my nostrils dialting to catch the scent, along with my stomach rising and falling gently with my breath. I broke the silence with another whinny and waited for an answer. None came, and with a snort I began to prance towards the smell, my legs high and snapping in the air, my head tucked and my tail raised and flagged behind me. The wind blew my mane and tail behind me like silk banners, and my body moved with the beauty and grace of a dancer. I emerged into the clering where the stallion was in time to see him take off running. Then another scent blows at me and I smell the wolf. My ears pin back, my tails droops, and I snort. I see the wolf take off after the stallion, and my instincts take over. I run. But not away from the wolf, I run towards it, and soon catch up with it, me being downwind of it so it can't scent me, my hoofbeats silent on the soft grass so it cannot hear me. I bucked, my fore feet rising into the air and smashing down on the wolf''s head. I slide t a stop and prance uneasily away from the wolf's motionless body as it crumpled to the ground, as if it would suddenly jump up and attack. My head whips around to see the stallio as he ran, and another whinny escaped me. I stood motionless as a stature again, my head and tail raised, the wind blowing through my mane and tail, my nostrils dialted as I watched him run with the gracing beauty of an Arabian.

I slide to a halt as i hear other hoof beats behind me. I no longer scence the wild dog chasing me, but the silence is pierced with the blood shedding sound of a skull cracking. I whip around in time to see a handsome black stallion take him down. I watch the dead wolf for a few seconds trying to get my breathing back to normal. My blue eyes gaze back over the stallion and take in his divine beauty. His black body rippled with strong muscles under his silky, shiny coat of ebony. I arch my neck in tightly and flag out my tail like a banner of fire. I whinney a flirty call to him.

Smoky Dream~ I watch her and whinny back

[Guardian Angel]

Arching my neck and raising my tail up high, I take a few slow steps closer to him. His masculin(sp) beauty almost has me caught in a trance,but i dont fall for it. I pick up my legs, raising them high up as i make my way closer to him. I prick my ears forward and flare my nostils as i take in his unfamiliar scent. I take my little show downa notch as i come closer to the wolf. It lies motionless, but i cant help but think it will attack again....or its pack will. A shiver goes down my spine. I shake it off and look once again at the stallion. I nicker kindly.

[• Echo]

Smoky Dream~ I snort slightly and shake my head, stepping a little way from the wolf, my nostrils dialted and showing the red part. I hear her nicker and whicker back, softly. "Hello," I say softly, my dark eyes sliding to the wolf then back to the horse, wondering where the wolf's pack was. "What brings you here?" I ask, still softly, not talking much, as usual, as I look back down at the wolf then where it had come from wonderingly.

I am nervous and i shift my body weight uneasily from side to side. I dont normally talk to stallion yet be around one. The odd felling that engulfs(sp) my body makes me want to rear up and buck about just to be rid of it. I have heard the tales of stallion who force bred mares and beat them down when they say no or fight back. I nod my head, "Hello to you too" I shake my red mane. it flies around like flames. "I was actually leaving my homelamd in search of a new life when this wolf tried to attack me, and you?" My eye dart around, searching the landscape for any signs of the wolf's pack. The breeze lingers, tugging at my mane and tail. It tosses it gentle around my neck and brushing my nose. It carries my scent around, lingering it.

Smoky Dream~ "I wander a lot," I say softly, then look around, thinking...

[Guardian Angel]

I nod my head, "I see." I paw the ground for a moment out of frustraion and then i sigh. Lowering my head to the ground, I snatch a few blades of grass then turn my attention back to the stallion. "and your name is?"

[• Echo]

Smoky Dream~ I smile apologetically. "I am sorry; I haven't properly introduced myself yet," I say. "I am Smoky Dream, and you are?" I ask in my quiet voice.

[Guardian Angel]

I have to listen closely to pick up his quiet voice. "Im Dimming Flame for obvious reasons." I shake my black mane as it flutters around my face, the silver shinning in the sun. My deep red coat shines below the sun as it runs down to my black ashy legs like the fire is finally dimming out.

Smoky Dream~ I smile at her. "That is a beautiful name," I say, admiring her beauty.

[Guardian Angel]

If he could see my blush, i would be beat red. I smile and cast my gaze down, "Thanks " i say in a small voice with a giggle at the end.

Smoky Dream~ I smile at her. "No problem," I say, taking a few, hesitant steps closer to her. The wind rustled through my mane and tail, making them float like a smoky plume behind me.

[Guardian Angel]

I arch my neck and cock my head to the side. I giggle and leap forward, nipping his mane. "Tag your it!" Isay, whipping around and cantering off. My ashy legs hardly touch the ground as i prance about temping him to chase me.

[• Echo]

Smoky Dream~ I smile and toss my head, cantering over towards her. I slide to a stop and gently pull at her mane, prancing a little out of reach, my tail raised, my neck arched gracefully as I high-stepped around, watching her with an eager gleam in my eye.

[Guardian Angel]

I smile and lurch forwards then quickly hop back , my mane and tail flying around me. I take a few prances closer and reach my neck out and nip his mane. I giggle and zip off at a quick canter in the oppisite direction, my tail up high. I pull my legs up and arch my neck, slowing to a teasing trot.

[• Echo]

Smoky Dream~ I smile and canter after her, tossing my proud Arabian head high and flagging my tail behind me, lifting my feet high. I catch up to her prancing trot and nuzzle her neck, snorting and spinning on my back legs in another direction, lowering my head slightly. I turn around and gaze back at her, tossing my head and sidestepping.

[Guardian Angel]

I giggle and gaze up at him. I toss my head around and rear up, striking the air with my forlegs. I raise my tail up high and arch my neck, picking my right forleg up and pulling it in. I prance in place and then prance around him. My elgeant arabian body moving gracfully and with ease. My little muscles rippling in my red coat that shines beneth the sun.

Smoky Dream~ I smile and laugh lightly and strike the ground with my left fore, tossing my head. I admire her elegant body shining in the sun and prance around, my legs stepping high, my mane and tail floating gently on the wind. I flag my tail and collect my head, the sun shining on my smoke-colored body, making me seem as if I was a hazy dream of smoke.

[Guardian Angel]

While standing a pride held stance, i took note of his steps. I lurched forward and planted myself against his side. I arched my neck, collectedmy head, raised my tail and picked my legs up. I matched his movemnets exactly and the way we looked together, you would think we were dancing. Our coat colors blurred together looking like a summer sunset.

Smoky Dream~ I smile and toss my head slightly, watching her as our bodies mimicked each others' movements.

I grew tired from our play and stopped to slow my breathing. I smiled up at him, "great show" I walk down to the little creek and sipped it greedily.

Smoky Dream~ I also stop and smile at her. "You too," I say, walking with her to the stream. I take a long drink and raise my head, looking at her.

I stop, feeling him staring. I elevate my head and turn to look at him. "what? is there seaweed on my nose?" I look at my nose and my eyes are cross eyed.
