"When Durnal was injured all those times, where was she? Lying around her den. I swear she is only his mate because she can boss others around..." Nia grumbled, and pressed her nose into his chest. "But I don't think so Blaze. Durnal is like a brother to me, but he takes any opportunity to ignore the bad things Pelican does."

"Nia you must remember she was pregnant, and very moody. All Fae's are like that during pregnancy." I explained, trying to get her to see reality. "Pelican loves Durnal very much. She even said it to him herself. I realize Pelican has done very wrong things, but Durnal is a different story. He has never done anything wrong intentionally, and he has learned from his mistakes." I continued, agreeing that Pelican was brutal. "But Pelican has a soft side. She can be very loving and caring." I said, standing up for my Alpha, though I held slight hostility towards her.

Nia shook her head, slumping down at his paws. "Nevermind. Don't take that message to him. Just, return and say you said your goodbyes to Nia. Because that is what you are doing." Slowly, she stood again, and licked his nose. "We have already spotted several humans in this territory. Thorn is moving us again, farther away. At least three days travel from here. It will probably be the last time I ever see you."

My heart sank as she announced moving farther away. "No, Nia. I don't care if I have to travel a month worth of travelling, I will see you again. I promise." I said, and quickly licked her ear. "If I have to I'll ask permission from Durnal to move back into the forest. There is empty territory on the west side of Durnal's with a good food source and no humans." I added, being sincere.

(Sorry I've been sick and getting worse.)

Shadow was sound asleep in the Den as her ears twitched every once in a while to the sounds of the forest. She was slowly waking up when she heard a conversation going on outside. She was barely able to make out the voices but reconized them as Blaze and Nia. She finally woke up and looked around the Den before standing up and walking outside. Once there she streatched and gave a small tan before shaking her pelt clean of dirt. She looked over at Blaze and Nia before turning and walking to the place Kane showed her. When she got there she walked Over to the pond and drank a little before laying down.
