Re: Nothing's stopping me now... (Reserved for Silver Shadows)
Derrik was soon done with his paper, finally after all the time. Class was almost down and over with, and he was glad that it was seeming like school was finally going faster. He looked up from his paper that he left out as he stuffed the rest of his papers into the folder. He looked at Julianna for like the 3rd time since they got here then at his paper, getting up and turning it in. He leaned back in his chair for the last 4 minutes then the bell rung. He lifted himself up. Finally, the class was over. He hurried and got up, giving the teacher the papers. Papers flew at her from rushing students but Derrik strayed, putting his hands in his pockets. "I'll be there to get you," he promised and turned, red flashing his cheeks at what he has said. The thought of him looking at her again, she wondered if she looked at him at all, how she felt about him. If she still douted him as a jock, or liked him...He turned and walked out heading towards his locker and putting his stuff away, stuffing his homework in his backpack and sat at the side of the lockers, watching the halls slowly go vacant. Once they were, he headed towards biology to try to get Juilana out of bilogy.

Re: Nothing's stopping me now... (Reserved for Silver Shadows)
Sneaking a glance over at Derrik, Juliana noted that he had all of his homework done. She was practically in awe that he could go so quickly, she was still fumbling with the first few pages. She looked down, grabbing her backpack and dumping it onto her lap, her slender fingers grabbing ahold of the zipper and fiddling with it slightly, sliding it up and down as she waited for the bell to ring. When if finally did, she bolted out of her seat and grabbed her backpack, slinging it over her shoulder. The teen almost fell backwards with its sudden weight, but managed to catch herself before she fell into Derrik. A slight pink color flushed her smooth cheeks, and she pushed herself up and away from him, starting to make her way towards the classroom door. She turned around slightly as she heard his voice, and gave him a gentle nod and a slight smile. "Thanks."

Derrik headed towards the office and soon appeared seeing Julianna sitting there. He saw the teacher, Mr. Darran, reading silently watching over his detention students. He walked over to Mr. Darran and spoke silently. "Um, I need to pull Julinanna. We need to finish our homework." He said, voice pleading. "She didn't mean to be late, she's really struggling and I'm trying to help her." Mr. Darran was silent for a moment before nodding. "Okay." He said finally. "Oh and here's you sketchbook back." He handed Derrik his notepad and he smiled. "Thanks." Turning he looked at Julianna. "Come on, were heading towards the caferteria." He headed towards the door, opening it for her.

Re: Nothing's stopping me now... (Reserved for Silver Shadows)
Juliana's dark eyes were closed, her long bangs hiding half of her face. She didn't bother to brush them away, as she was nearly alone in the office. Derrik had said he would try and get her out of detention, but she wasn't really sure if he had meant it or not. Now was the perfect time to think; it was quiet and she would have a while to do it. She leaned back in the chair, her eyes still closed. Crossing her arms over her chest, she thought about Derrik and wondered about him. Juliana didn't know what to think of the boy, and she supposed that when they 'studied' together, she would find out. Perhaps he was just a fake, but she found herself wanting to believe that he really wasn't, and that he might be a good friend in the future. At the moment, she didn't dare think that they would be anything more, as she had just met him a few hours earlier and wasn't ready to get into that mindset. Opening her wide brown eyes, she glanced down to her large backpack and leaned down, opening the bag and ruffling through its contents.
The girl quickly found what she was looking for, a small sketch book stashed away in the back, beneith all of her folders and textbooks she was forced to bring home with her. Grabbing a drawing pencil, she opened the pad. Looking over the quick sketches of the park, she let a light smile touch her lips. Juliana soon flipped through the pages, taking in the beginnings of many drawings that hadn't been completed.
A voice broke the silence around her, and she quickly glanced up, flipping the sketch book closed; as if she was afraid others would see the contents inside. Shoving it down into her book-bag, she quickly straightened when she saw the tall figure of Derrik make his way to the teachers desk. They exchanged a few words for a moment or two, before Derrik was handed his notebook. He gave her a smile, a sign that she was free to go. Brushing her soft hair behind her ear, she quickly grabbed her backpack and stood, giving him a relieved smile and starting towards the door.
When she reached it, Derrik was holding it open for her. Moving past him, her body slightly brushed against his, and she turned as soon as she was out. "I wasn't thinking you would come."

Re: Nothing's stopping me now... (Reserved for Silver Shadows)
Derrik nodded once she moved out the door and clenched the doornob slowly closing it shut. He watched her turned and heard her remark he shrugged. "I was just waiting for the halls to clear." he murmured and walked besides her as they walked besides eachother. He gave a thin smiled and looked up at the ceiling nervousness passing through his gaze then looked back down at Juliana. "Okay I have got it all set up for us," he said. "So that means we'll be studying in the caferteria." He pushed open the doors and opened them up to see the janitor. "What are you two doing in here?" he asked. "I asked the princapal if we could study.." Derrik replied. "Well you gon' have to move to the teacher lounge no one would be in there." When he said 'no one' Derrik blushed. "Akay, come on Juliana." When they arrived at the door of the lounge, he opened it and held the door again. "Even though I'm a jock, I have always learned ladies first."

Re: Nothing's stopping me now... (Reserved for Silver Shadows)
Looking behind her, Juliana did see that the halls were empty; besides the pair that were standing near the enterance of the office. She turned her head slightly, hearing the door click shut behind them. The halls were silent, Derriks soft voice echoing down the length and appearing to be louder than it actually was. Juliana winced at the noise, but it wasn't that she disliked the sound of it. Glancing at the wall clock, she saw that it was rather early to be out of school for her, and noted that they would have plenty of time to study. Derrik smiled at her, walking near her side. She was able to feel his body warmth against her skin, a slight tremor making its way up her arm. The teen shook her head and fought the blush that was threatening to appear on her smooth cheeks.
She stepped forward, walking side by side with Eric. Her backpack was slung over her shoulders, the straps long so the bag was hanging near her lower back. Slipping her hands into the pockets of her jeans, she nodded as they started making their way to the caferteria. As the two turned the corner, Juliana almost ran straight into the janitor, stumbling backwards and falling against Derriks hard chest.
Desperation caught ahold of the girl, and she pushed herself up and away from him, before he started conversing with the janitor. Giving him an embarrased smile, she looked away and let the two of them talk it out, before it was decided they would study in the teachers lounge... Alone.
How convenient was that? The girl almost rolled her eyes, but held back. Breathing a heavy sigh, she brushed her long hair behind her ear and turned to Derrik, who suddenly looked embarrased. He must have been thinking the same thing she had, and she quickly shook her head. The two moved down the hall, Juliana's high tops pressing down onto the freshly mopped floor. Right when they reached the enterance of the lounge however, she slipped on the wet flooring and nearly fell, managing to grab Derriks arm in an attempt to stay upright.
(Haha, they should both fall down. (;)

Re: Nothing's stopping me now... (Reserved for Silver Shadows)
Derrik waited for her to make her way into the teachers lounge. "Come on girly we don't have all--" suddely, she slipped and fell, grabbing onto his arms making him slightly unbalanced. He fell letting go of the door. The door slammed shut again and then he hurried grabbing her waist. Now he was all the way unbalanced and fell down first right on the ground but it didn't hurt him at all. Then she was right on top of him face-to-face. He met a gaze of a choclate pair of eyes. He was pulled in an embrace he ever had before. Two beautiful stared upon him. And the teen on him, the slender waist he held around his arms when they both had fell, both perfect. He didn't go for the move, he knew it wasn't time but caught in the moment, he didn't know he started to finger from her waist up her spine. He pulled out quickly. What was he doing?! He slowly pulled her off and pulled her up. "Your so clumsy," he had to drop it. But he just couldn't. He sighed and let her in again. "Let's try again. This time you don't fall."

Re: Nothing's stopping me now... (Reserved for Silver Shadows)
Before Juliana knew what was happening, she was starting down towards the floor, her legs flung out from benieth her. Before she could collide with the ground however, she felt a pair of strong hands wrap around her slim waist, making her stiffen slightly. Gasping softly, her weight made Derrik unbalanced, and he started to fall also. She seemed to be watching it all in slow motion, before everything speeded up and she fell harshly down. Expecting the hard floor, she winced, but her body was slighty cushioned from the fall. Wincing, Juliana opened her eyes to find that she was lying on top of Derrik, her open palms resting on his broad, muscular chest. Silence filled her ears, her face only inches from his, wide brown eyes staring into his own. She suddenly felt Derriks finger trailing up her spine, and a shiver wracked over her skin. In that moment, she realized what had happened and quickly pushed herself off of him, though he was trying to help her up. Her cheeks flushed a slight pink, and she didn't dare look him in the eyes. Pushing herself up off of the floor, she quickly stood and steadied herself, before reaching down and thrusting out a hand to help him off of the floor. "Oh my gosh... I'm so sorry. I'm such a clutz."

The teen saw the pink flush her cheeks and his did also. "Err... your fine." he said and looked at the ground. He let her in and closed the door behind them, moaning and groaning before falling silent as it finally closed all the way. He took a seat in a gree chair and pulled a chair besides him, pulling out a plastic black folder and opening it to take out the work. He looked at her and patted the chair. "It's time to show you how to understand this," he announced and looked at his paper, reviewing it proudly. "I'll make sure you get a good grade... promise." He'd makin' a lot of promises to her and with all his heart, he knew he'd keep them.

Re: Nothing's stopping me now... (Reserved for Silver Shadows)
Juliana didn't dare try and speak, as embarrasment had gotten ahold of her and she was sure her voice would give awaay the way she was feeling. Her heart thumped wildly in her chest, her breathing hitched slightly, before she forced herself to take in a deep breath and calm herself down. Hearing blood rushing to her head, she soon entered the room and leaned against the doorframe for support, holding her head gently in her hands. Soon, the throbbing subsided and she was able to raise her head, seeing that Derrik had closed the door behind them and was now taking a seat at one of the office chairs. When Derrik bent down to retrieve his folder, Juliana took the second to pull her hair out of her eyes, blinking once and swallowing; trying to clear her confused mind. Shaking her head, she soon joined him at the table, sitting down on the office chair by his side. When he announced he wouldn't let her fail the class, Juliana let a slight smile pass over her lips, her eyes tired.
"Eh, you dont know how hard I am to teach yet."

Derrik gave a half hearted smile. "Well first," he murmured. "Your gonna learn how to do this no matter what." He said and showed her his sheet. He pointed at each one he did, showing their answers one by one. He stopped at number ten then went straight up to number one again. "I'll let you copy the answers as soon as you understand them." he told her. "Once you understand them, you'll really impress the teacher." he pulled out his blue pen and looked at her. "Now, try figuring this out." he said simply, sitting back in his chair. "If you don't understand I'll try giving you some information hopefully you'll understand."

Re: Nothing's stopping me now... (Reserved for Silver Shadows)
At Derrik's smile, Juliana's heart gave a slight jump. She didn't know what was really going on right now, but pushed all feelings to the side and focused on studying for the time being. She looked to her side when he slid over his sheet, pulling out her own and clicking her pen into position. Reading them over in his handwriting, she was slightly able to understand how he came up with the answers after all. After a few minutes had passed by in silence, Juliana looked up, her chocolate gaze locking with Derriks. Not moving her eyes from his, she slid the folder back over to his side of the table, before looking away and back down to her own. Her hands fell to her lap, and she twiddled with the ball point pen a second, before turning her gaze back onto the boy beside her. She gave him a slight nod and a smile, before gesturing to her blank worksheet. "I dont know how you do it." Giving him a limp smile, she smoothed her hair to one side of her neck, leaning back over the table and trying to concentrate once again.

Re: Nothing's stopping me now... (Reserved for Silver Shadows)
Derrik waited patiently. While getting unpatient, he eventually spaced out. He thought about what the jocks and cheerleaders would think if he was with Juliana all the time. But he didn't know what to do. His feelings that were growing for Juliana were undeniable. Easy to hide on the outside, but hard to hide on the inside even though he told himself no to have those kinds of feeling. Looking at her like he did now, looking at her smooth cheeck and how she cocentrated it just made his knees weak even if he wasn't touching her. Suddenly, he was pulled from those deep and dark thoughts when the girl next to him said she was mainly still confused about what to do. He leaned in next to her, their faces only a few inches away. He looked at her, a nervous smile that he couldn't put up that was on his face. He looked down and explained quickly. He looked up. "Now do you understand."

Re: Nothing's stopping me now... (Reserved for Silver Shadows)
When Derrik leaned in to explain to her once again, Juliana found it very hard to focus. She was well aware of his hot breath on her neck, gently coresing her smooth skin. He leaned in close, his face very near her own as she tried not to let herself slip into the way of her feelings, though she wasn't really sure what they were. Unless she let herself go, she wouldn't know- maybe never know. Slowly moving her eyes up off of the paper, she looked into Derriks and smiled slightly, her soft pink lips gently curving upward, a pleasent expression on her face. She felt at east, listening to his low voice speaking very quietly near her ear. The room was silent, only the soft sound of the janitors cart's wheels squeeking softly outside. They were definatly alone, and she was well aware of how close they were sitting together. When he finished explaining, she looked down to the paper, poising her pen over the blank and slowly writing the answer for the problem. Letting it drop onto the table, she gave a small nod and turned back to look at the boy, her gaze connecting with his own in an intense manner. "Thank you.."

Re: Nothing's stopping me now... (Reserved for Silver Shadows)
Derrik smiled watching her write down the answers, glad that she probably now understood. He looked up from the paper and there she was looking at him, that beautiful and gentle smile that melted him so much. He stared at his eyes, actually seeing his own reflection in them. Instead of replying, he lifted his hand and gently pulled her bangs away from her eyes that again and again kept falling before her eyes. He leaned down to kiss her. This was probably the most worst thing he'd probably ever done. It'd probably ruin his reputation - but he didn't care. He had certain feelings and to see if she felt the same way, and the embrace she just purposly kept putting in him, warmth melted his body again and again, multiple and loads of times.

Re: Nothing's stopping me now... (Reserved for Silver Shadows)
Juliana blinked once as Derrik raised his hand, flinching slightly. She had been expecting perhaps something different, but she wasn't sure what it could have been. His fingers gently moved her long bangs away from her chocolate eyes, but she didn't protest. As the boy breathed, she was well aware of his gentle breath coressing her skin. A slight shiver wracked down her spine, his gaze so intense that she felt as if she would melt right into the chair beneith her. Suddenly, he moved forward, their faces mere inches apart now. The feeling was unsettling, she didn't know what it was. But as Derrik leaned in closer, she felt her stomach leap inside of her, her heart starting to beat faster in her chest, pounding as she felt his soft lips press against hers. The beginning of the kiss was gentle, and her eyes fluttered closed. Relying on pure emotion alone, she moved her hands up to gently cup his cheeks, leaning up to press her own lips against his. Was this real? Was she just falling for him this easily? A part of her told her it wasn't right, but she decide she would figure that out later, judging on how all of this went.

Re: Nothing's stopping me now... (Reserved for Silver Shadows)
When her lips met his own he was surprised. His eyes closed as he lifted them both up to pull her up, wanting her close. He put his arms around her waist and continued to press his lips against her soft one, going deeper, passionate and deep. He suddenly stopped and pulled her away looking at her and releasing his grip on her waist, pink reaching her cheeks. What had he done, and why did he like it so much? This was a kiss he liked, but why did he want to touch her other places that were too overrated for his catagory? He looked to meet her gaze, bewildered they then lost bewilderment and become gentle feeling kinda akward.

Re: Nothing's stopping me now... (Reserved for Silver Shadows)
Juliana's mind was slightly confused, and as she fought for reality, she soon lost to her emotions. She nearly melted into Derrik as she felt his strong arms wrap around her waist, pressing her body gently into his. He leaned down into the kiss, making it grow deeper, her fingers gently coressing his cheeks as their lips locked together.
Suddenly Derrik let her go, drawing his lips away from hers and stepping back. Distance was soon put between the pair, her skin tingling feircly wherever he had touched her. Turning her head, she smiled gently and looked back down to the paper, seeing its answers scribbled across the page. The teen leaned down and quickly stuffed the homework back into the folder, leaving it open on the wooden table. She turned her gaze back up to Derrik's, meeting his squarely and with slight humor. "You're so unpredictable." Giving him a slight smile, she turned and slipped her folder into the backpack. Figuring that she had all the information she needed to finish, Juliana found herself wanting to stay, wanting to feel his lips against hers once again.

Derrik watched her put her homework in her folder, and her folder in her bag putting her bookbag over her shoulder and saying he unpredictable. He was now even more embarrsed and he looked at his feet. After a couple of minutes when he lost the pinks in his cheeks, he looked up and gave a thin smile. He couldn't believe he wanted the kiss again, playing it like a movie. He just couldn't break it from his head. He just laughed quietly. "Whatever you say." he sighed. He walked over towards the door and looked back, now as if nothing ever happened. "So where ya heading? You have a car or do you want a ride?"

Re: Nothing's stopping me now... (Reserved for Silver Shadows)
Juliana didn't know if the kiss had meant anything, but she figured it probably had. Either way, it had felt... right, and she wasn't going to argue with her feelings. Not yet at least. Her heart sank slightly when Derrik moved to the door, but she turned to follow him. Giving him a slight smile when he asked her about her ride home, she shrugged her shoulders and slipped her hands into her pockets. The teen was slightly afraid to speak, as if she would stumble and trip over her words. Her mind was racing, heart pumping wildly, and she wondered if what she was feeling was obvious on her face. Moving so she was beside him, she placed her hand on the handle of the door and turned it, the door slipping open. "I have a car, but thanks anyway."

Re: Nothing's stopping me now... (Reserved for Silver Shadows)
Derrik's eyebrows rose as she said she had a car and sighed. "Okay see ya tomorrow, Juliana." Turning around, he walked away stuffing his hands brutally in his pocket. He looked back at her one last time, taking one hand out to wave goodbye again before turning around again to walk out the door. He hoppe in his red vehcial and rode off. When he arrived home, he opened his door and looked around. "Um, dad are you there?" No answer. He sighed and took off his jacket and bookbag crashing on the couch and moaned. He thought what he'd did. How he'd want Juliana here with him while he touched her carlessly. But she wasn't the one for him... was she? He wasn't sure though. He just knew how happy, the feelings he felt when he was around her.

~*~*~*~*~*~
Juliana couldn't think straight, her mind reeling about what had happened only minutes earlier. Sitting in the passenger seat of her small white car, her fingers draped over the leather steering wheel. Her dark chocolate eyes were wide, her brows drawn together in a slight frown. The tires of the car moved smoothly over the black asphalt, the ride smooth and quiet. Music from the radio was soft in the backround, but she couldn't hear it; as her thoughts were loud and blocking out everything else.
Never-ending images of Derrik filled her mind, making her blink as she tried to concentrate on the road. Soon though, she reached her home and pulled into the drive, parking the vehicle in the garage and clamboring out. She wished that she had gotten his number, as she found herself wanting to speak to him once again. Digging in her purse for her cell phone, she blinked as she saw she had several new text messages, none that she had remembered receiving.

Derrik sighed and got up and looked upstairs. "Dad? Are you there?" he asked. He creeped the door open slowly and loooked inside to see his dad sleeping, breathings slow. He closed the door and shut it sighing. He walked over to his bedroom and crash onto his bed more softer. He looked around and toyed with his phone abit flipping it back and forth until he felt exhausted, thinking about Juliana. He leaned down and closed his eyes falling asleep. He couldn't get his thoughts off of Juliana though...

Re: Nothing's stopping me now... (Reserved for Silver Shadows)
Juliana stared at the computer screen, the blue and white screen of Facebook pulled up on a new tab. Lying on her stomach, her soft bed comforted her jittery nerves and made her slightly tired. Clicking on the familiar face of Derrik, she quickly scrolled down through his profile, hoping that he had his phone number publicly displayed. When she found it however, Juliana suddenly developed a sense of dread, that knotted inside her gut. What if he was just playing her, and only wanted more? What if he was just using her weakness to make himself higher in his standing crowd? She frowned at the thought, before copying his number into her phone and labeling it as a new contact. After checking a few notifications and messages, she clicked out of the window and flipped her laptop shut. The dim glow was diminished, leaving the girl in her dark bedroom, alone. She closed her eyes, holding onto the feeling of his soft, warm lips pressed against hers, the feeling of his strong arms pulling him to her..

Derrik heard her laugh, her voice in his head as he thought through the darkness of his head. Soon, the beeping of his phone startled him and his eyes swung awake. He got up and hurried getting ready, brushing back his hair and getting dressed. He looked at his phone. It was almost 8 he was gonna be late! He looked at his mom's picture and prayed that they would make him an exception. Then, he looked outside and saw snow hurry violently to the ground. He looked back and hurried downstairs, watching the news to see below that school was out. He was relieved but not relieved that he would not have to go to school but not see Juliana. He sighed and walked downstairs with his phone in his hand.
