No More Of A Lonely Girl... (Sammi)
Emilee walked down the stairs of her house, wavy golden hair reaching just below her shoulders. She sighed and rubbed her arm then walked on, holding her breath, hoping her dad wouldn't see her. She went on and walked out the door, lightly closing it. A dog barked, flying itself from the sheep it watched all the way to Emilee and ran to her, tail wagging. Emilee smiled and pet her dog lightly with a soft hand. "C'mon wanna come to the park with me?" she asked. The dog barked, her bark louder than before. Emilee laughed, her spirits rising. She nodded. "Okay come on girl, let's go." Opening the gate she walked out the door, dog following and closed it. Going just a block into her town and to the park she hoped to see someone there; but she was alone. She frown and sighed. "Go over by the swings and sit down," she ordered her dog. Listening to her commands, the dog raced over and sat down. Emilee looked at the small yellow slide that was at the side and went up it, sliding down and going to the edge leaning back with an exaggerated sigh.
She was lonely, always looking in on a crowd of nerd, or a crowd of cheerleaders or just regular populars. She never had a catagory. No one could quite understand her. She was unbelieveably shy and quiet and people always thought he as a target like that. That's why today, she decided to skip school when she knew it was kind of a bad thing. She called of sick while her dad was not up and then snuck herself out of the house. It was almost summer though. So she thought there was not reason to come to school.
Emilee wore some shorts that went her knees, and a short sleeved shirt. She was a pretty girl with golden hair and hazel brown eyes. She thought she wouldn't be a target a lot. But not just for bullying, for sextual harassment which made her deeply insecure.

Re: No More Of A Lonely Girl... (Sammi)
Danny had skipped school today, which he did every Friday, because of his job. His mother didnt know, but Danny worked at the local CD store downtown every Friday morning, just so he could make some extra cash and try to help support his recently widowed mother. His father had passed away last year, and since then, him and his mother have had to take care of things around their small farm. It wasn't easy, and often times they were tight on money, but somehow they managed to pass by.
His border collie padded around close to him wherever he went, and he was only allowed to bring her into work because the customers always talked about her. Her name was Tuesday, because Danny had found her on a Tuesday two years ago, and he disnt know what else to call her. She licked at his fingers as Danny walked out of his work, and down the sidewalk. He pondered about where to go, and then looked down at his energetic canine.
"What do you think, Tuesday? Wanna get some energy out?" Danny smiled as the collie barked frantically, and he laid his skateboard down and began to ride, the dog loping evenly next to him. He skated into the park, and stopped when he reached a wooden bench. He looked at Tuesday, and took out her red frisbee from his black backpack. He threw it in the air, and the dog sprinted off in a heartbeat. "Get it girl!" He smiled. He watched the dog jump into the air and catch the frisbee perfectly, and when she turned around to bring it back he crouched down on his knees, but the dog ran right past him.
"Tuesday!" He called, but she ignored him, and ran toward a dog that was laying at the base of the swings oj the playground. Danny jogged after her, and grabbed the frisbee she had dropped by the slide, when he had seen a girl that looked familiar lounging. "Sorry, my dog finds yours quite interesting for some reason." He grinned, and whistled for his dog. "Tuesday!" He called, and soon she was back by his side. She looked at her and she sat obediently at his feet, then looked at the girl and barked, her tail wagging.

Emilee got up to hear maybe a higher bark and knew it wasn't her dog's. Sitting up, she saw another border collie, Friday sitting up, panting with her butt up in the air in a playful postion. Looking up, she noticed a familar guy appear in the gate of the park. She then noticed he was from her school. So she wasn't alone at skipping school. When she heard him talk to her she couldn't help but feel her heart skip a quick nervous beat. She got up and joined her dog at the last swing pushing her legs only so much. "Y-yeah. She's very playful. She gets along with other dogs just fine." she muttered.

Danny smiled at Emilee, and nodded at Tuesday. Tuesday stood up and ran over to Friday, her butt wiggling in the air as she barked playfully, jumping around infront of the other collie. Danny then looked back at the girl and cocked his head. "Do you go to Roosevelt High?" He cocked his head, and squinted his eyes. "You look familiar."
He smiled kindly at her, then looked back at the playing dogs.

Emilee lifted her head, feeling the presence of his eyes as they burnt through her. She looked up, knowing he had indentified her, that there was no more hiding. "Yes I do. I'm Emilee." she muttered, toying with the chains on the swings, starting to slow down more her heart rate traveling at a quick pace. She was nervous talking to others that came from her school but he was pretty nice to her. She met his gaze, building confidence to talk to him.

He smiled at her, walking over to the swing next to her. He sat down, lazily pushing himself back and forth. "Nice to meet you, Im Theodore. But call me Danny." He smiled, then looked at the dogs again. "So what's your dog's name?" He asked, nodding his head toward the dogs who were rolling around playfully on the soft rubber padding of the playground. Danny figured he should make a little conversation with Emilee, since at school he never saw her with people.

Emilee watched as he came closer to her and sat on the swing next to her, lazily pushing himself. She felt more hesitant with him near now. "Um... er Friday." she said and looked at the chips below them, lazily pushing herself as well. She wasn't much of a talker and was surprised he'd even talk to a loser like her.

He looked up and smiled at her, a light chuckle vibrating out of his throat. His eyes flashed back and forthfrom Friday to Emilee, and he smiled. "You're kidding?! My dog's name is Tuesday." He laughed. Tuesday stopped playing when she heard the mention of her name, and she looked at the humans, letting out a loud bark, and wagged her tail at Emilee, before returning to her little wrestling match with Friday.

He chuckled lightly and looked at his feet, and stopped swaying on the swing. "Yea..." The two teenagers stood in awkward silence for a while, and soon Danny stood up, and Tuesday ran to his side and laid by his feet. "You want to take a walk?" He looked at Emilee, his eyes shimmering. He was beginning to like her, she was pretty, and in a way he felt a strange connection with her even though they had just met.
