Leah had been waiting for hours and hours in the waiting room. Finally, a nurse dressed in all white told her that she could go and visit him, that he'd finally woken up. Leah moved immediately into his room, her heart clenching when she saw the confused and a bit scared look on his face. She slowly made her way over to the bed and sat on one side of it, giving him most of the room to move around if need be. She took one of his hands (in an extremely gentle fashion) and rubbed her thumb over the top of it, smiling gently at him. She was so happy that he was alive. Leah spoke softly, "You scared me so badly, did you know that? I don't know what I would've done if you'd died."

Eric's dark eyes were wide and confused, and he looked up expectantly as a slender figure made its way into the room. He knew he had seen her before, but where! And why was he in the hospital! As the girl sat down, he looked at her as if he had never seen her before, and noted how beautiful she really was. Then, as she took her hand in his, and said his name softly, he blinked once, his brain sluggishly starting to gear up.
"Le - Leah?" He stumbed for the word, his hand trembling slightly as she rubbed her thumb gently over the top of it. He strained to sit up, but fell back, exuasted onto the fluffy white pillow.
"Leah?"

Leah nodded solomnly. When he tried to get up, she pushed him gently back down, though he was already halfway back onto the pillow. "You need to rest, Eric. Don't try to get up." Leah adjusted herself so she could lay on the bed beside him, his hand still in hers, as she stared up at the ceiling, wondering what would've happened if she hadn't gotten there on time. Abruptly, she turned to face him, noting the scars and bruises that were littered everywhere on his body, "What made you do it?" she asked, her voice quavering.

His brain still hadn't fully remembered what had happened before, but now, seeing Leah brought back everything about her. The icecream, the fight, the kiss, the room, the texts...
He looked up as she joined him on the bed, holding his hand in hers, gently looking into his eyes. When she asked him what had made him do it, he had no idea what she was talking about. His brows furrowed together, and confusion filled his wide black eyes. "Wh-What? Do wh- what?"

[ i'm back for a little bit... ]

Leah stared at him for a moment. "So..." she murmured sadly. "You don't remember." Leah sighed and sat up in the bed, letting go of his hand and facing away from him. Her hopes of figuring out why he'd done it practically vanished. The thought of never knowing made her frown. She got off the bed and circled around to his other side, bending down and kissing his forehead softly. "Get better, all right? You still owe me icecream." Leah smiled and, after one last glance, walked out of the room, heart beating slower than usual.

"What?"
Eric thrust out a hand to stop her from leaving, but she had already gotten out of his reach. His eyes were wide, and soon a nurse came in, pushing him gently back onto the bed, and looking over the heart rate moniter, jotting down a few notes and taking care of him in general.
"Miss?" Eric's voice was soft, and the young nurse turned, giving him a cheerful smile. "Yes dear?" She seemed all too happy. "What happened to me?"

Leah nodded to the nurse on her way in, sighing. Did Eric remember her? Did he remember the icecream ordeal? The kiss? Her heart ached at the possibility that eric forgot it all. Well, that's what drugs did to you. Instead of heading home, Leah seated herself outside in the waiting room once more. She couldn't bring herself to leave. Her father had called three times already, leaving curse-filled messages telling her to get home or else he'd lock her in her room until she died of starvation. Eric, however, was more important to her, though. Sighing, Leah crossed her legs and leaned her head against the wall, staring at the ceiling.

Eric reached out his arm, touching the nurses slightly. She blushed slightly, and Eric wondered how young women could be so... touchy. "Can you please ask the young woman outside to come back in? Please?" He asked, blinking once and praying she would agree. His heart jumped as she nodded, finishing up with him and stepping outside the door, gesturing to Leah before heading off down the hall, a small smile on her face, cheeks still pink. Eric pushed himself up, now knowing what had happened. He had gotten information from the nurse, with a little bit of pursasien and now waited anxiously for Leah.

Leah frowned when she noticed the blush on the woman's face. Leah sighed. Eric didn't remember, did he? Leah nodded and put on an obviously fake smile, and walked down the hallway, into Eric's room. He'd sat up, and he seemed to be nervous about something. Just seeing Eric made her heart leap into her throat. Tentatively she walked over to him, and sat down on the bed, just below his feet. "The nurse said you wanted me back in here..?" Leah was curious as to why, but she wasn't going to bombard him with questions when he was in this state.

Eric, who was gaining his own strength by the moment, probably because he was jittery with tension. As she entered the room, he grabbed her hand and pulled her to him, before wrapping his arms around her and hugging her tightly. "Leah... I'm sorry.. I'm so, so sorry." He gently brushed the hair from her eyes, his face taught and worried.

(Sorry talking on the phone ick)

Leah was surprised when he hugged her so suddenly. But he apologized, she felt herself tearing up, and she wrapped her arms around him in return. "I was so worried..." Leah said, laying her head on his shoulder. "I... I thought you were going to die..." Leah whimpered slightly before pulling back a bit to look him in the eyes. "Why did you do it?"

Eric pursed his lips, looking away. "The whole point was to die, really." He stroked a hand over her back, and watched her reaction as she pulled back, looking him in the eyes. Her stare was so intense, that he swore his heart gave a jump, and tore his eyes away from hers. "See this?" He gestured to himself. The bruises, scars, scrapes. "That's one of the reasons."

Leah frowned, biting her lip. When she looked him over, she ran a hand tenderly over her cheek. "You can't stay with your parents anymore, Eric." Leah sighed heavily and returned her head to his chest. "Please don't do it again." Leah closed her eyes. She hugged him a bit tighter, biting her lip for a moment. Suddenly she blurted out, "Eric I can't lose you. I can't lose another guy that I care for" Leah looked up and kissed his cheek gently.

Eric brought her eyes up to meet hers, and flinched as she ran a hand over his cheek. It didn't hurt, but he was afraid it would, as he was plauged by nightmares. As she wrapped her arms tightly around him, he felt her pressed against him, and he ran a hand through her hair, softly whispering in her ear.
"I wont...I cant..." He was taken aback as she kissed him softly, and then moved his head a bit, so his lips found hers.

Leah smiled at his promise to her, a bit taken back when he moved his head so their lips touched. The rush that came with his kiss flooded back to her, and she didn't want to pull back. Leah did pull back, however, after a few moments, that to her, felt like an eternity. She felt her face blush, and she kissed his lips gently once more, before pulling back very slightly, "You know, this is the weirdest combination ever, but it feels right." Leah moved her head to rest it on his chest again.

Eric held her tightly to him, and smiled as she seemed to accept the kiss. Soon though, after a few moments she pulled away, and the nurse came back in, looking slightly surprised and dissapointed. Eric ignored her, smoothing Leah's hair back from her face as she rested her head on his chest, and he also rested his chin on the top of her head.

Leah, having just enough to room to, she curled her legs up on the bed. Leah was a bit jealous when she saw the look on the nurse's face, which surprised the heck out of her. Ignoring it, Leah sighed contentedly. "Do you think the nurse needs me to move?" Leah asked quietly. She didn't really have any intentions of moving, but she thought she may as well ask.

Eric pushed himself over so there was room for the two of them on the bed, and wrapped his arm around Leah. The nurse asked him to hold out his hand, and he did, and she removed the tape for the iv with a little more force than she needed to. The tape coming off made him wince, and rub his wrist slightly. "Oww, watch it!" He said, looking rather confused. She finished checking him, before striding out the door, and looking slighty upset. "Umm.... I think I pissed her off."

Leah glared at the nurse angrily. "Geez, somebody is jealous." Leah scooted further onto the bed when he moved to give her room. "Do you know how long you're going to be here? Cuz when you are let out, I'm not going to let you go back home. You know that, right?" Leah kissed his chin gently. She felt happier than she had for a very long time. It was weird that she was... well... cuddling with Eric after one day, but it was a great feeling. And it felt so right, as if she'd known him all her life.

Eric shrugged, but the movement sent pain down his spine. He shook his head instead, and was rewarded with a little less pain than before. "I have no idea... Untill I'm stable I guess..." He said quietly, listening to the quiet beeps of the heart rate moniter that was positioned by the bed. As she kissed his chin, the heart rate sped up a bit, and Eric laughed. "Caught me."

Leah listened to the heart moniter, and when it sped up, she chuckled. She had nothing to say, so instead she moved very lightly on the bed next to him and closed her eyes, content. "Mind if I stay here tonight? I don't think my parents would be very pleased with me if I came home extra late. You should hear the voice messages they've left me..." Leah sighed.

Eric closed his eyes, resting his head lightly next to hers. His arms were wrapped protectivley around her, and he kissed her forhead softly. "You can stay as long as you want." Stroking the hair from her eyes, he smiled slightly, his lips cracked and dry. "I'm lonley anyhow."

Leah smiled, yawning slightly. She wondered what time it was. It must be late, seeing as she'd been here most of the day. She cuddled up as close as she could to Eric without causing him any pain before nodding, "I hope forever isn't too long.." Leah managed to mutter before she drifted off into sleep.

Eric smiled softly. "Forever isn't long enough." He also closed his eyes, Leah's body fitting into his perfectly. His fingers laced with hers, and he felt his lower lip tremble slightly, but didn't know why. Taking a deep breath, he felt her lean into him and the heartrate on the moniter sped up, making him look away. Damn that stupid machine, it gave away what he was feeling.

Leah found it easy to fall asleep with the rhythmic beeping of the monitor, and the heat from the body next to her. She knew if Liam or any of her family members saw her now, they'd slit her throat. But that didn't dissuade her. She was content, and as she fell into a deeper sleep, her head was filled with happy dreams. Dreams happier than she'd ever had in what felt like an eternity.
