Re: U n t o l d
Kulukath scuttled along vehemently, trying to get away from her as quick as possible, laying his one tiny wing flat against his back, in attempt to camoflauge it. He knew he was pretty much screwed, because he could feel her cold stare on his back. He knew he'd have to try something grand, even though it was very stupid, seeing as he'd never accomplished it before, but what must be done, must be done.
He concentrated all his energy into a hideously large snake, grew legs, and a tail... All he needed to focus on was the head, fire, and wings of the being now... But something popped, fizzed, and he growled loudly.
Finally! He'd gotten the head. A large fire brewed in his throat as he felt it ready to spew fire everywhere, but as his body continued to strain and use energy to create a new wing that would actually be functioning, he could tell this was a very bad idea. It was hard enough trying to keep himself in this form, seeing how big it was, but creating a wing and actually using it, when it wasn't really real? That was something only an idiot would try.
Or a very pissed off mix-blood.
Kulukath growled again, shaking his scaled head madly, forcing trees down and away from him with massive claws, his tail lashing back and forth dangerously. He wasn't trying to have a destructive tail, but he kept swinging it back and forth, trying to keep his balance.

Castian stepped back in horror as the small spider started to morph, its body twisting and growing, stretching and retracing. It was quite repulsive to watch, but her eyes were glued to the scene. Soon, the form began to errily remind her of something. Soon, it was clear what he was trying to pull off, and the elf made sure to step back, partly in fear, partly in wonder of the beast. A grand dragon stood before her, watching her with his small, glittering eyes. She gazed up at it, a look of wonder, fear, and curiousity on her face. Of course, he was slightly off proportion, and a bit odd, but still, it was a dragon none the less.
She respected this male. She respected, and understood his hate. She had heard his story, and she now knew what he was capable of. And though facing almost iminent death, she was thankful to know that at least, at least he wouldn't be killed. Not without a whole fleet of warriors coming after him.
The poor thing.
She thought quietly. Just because she didn't have a womans name, didn't mean that on rare ocasions, she didn't have a womans heart.
She knew he was capeable of shapeshifting, but didn't know about the mind reading and controll.

Re: U n t o l d
Kulukath growled angrily, baring white fangs, a second wing finally growing, thought it was quite disproportional: it was midgit compared to the other, huge wing, but it would still fly perfectly well. Angered and slightly depressed, Kulukath began flapping his wings wildly. He wasn't going to kill her himself; he could fly away now, far away. And that's just what he'd do, but not before putting her in harm's way, of course.
He stopped his trashing for a split second at the look on her face, which was quite unmistakably soft. Was that... compassion? Shaking his head vigorously, he opened his maw and let out a jet of bright orange fire, lifting himself feebly into the air, barely able to keep himself over the top of the trees. He felt his energy draining steadily, and he knew that if he didn't get away fast, he would end being knocked out right in front of her and fall right out of the sky. And if that didn't kill him, she probably would, knowing he was defenseless.
Kulukath headed for the mountains, flying away speedily, letting out another roar.
. . . . . . . . . .@ the Mountains. . . . . . . . . . . .
When Kulukath had finally reached a good enough sized ledge, he transformed into his humanoid form in an instant and let himself fall from the sky, landing on the cold, hard rock with a quiet crack, feeling a sharp pain in his wrist, and his healing powers trying to fix it as fast as they could, but he knew it would at least take 12 hours. Groaning, Kulukath's vision flickered, his stomach growling with hunger, and he blacked out.

Dissapointmet flooded through Castion as he slowly made his way away from her, leaping backwards as a huge spurt of orange flames licked towards her. Though happy, and somewhat joyful that he was able to get away, and knowing he would probably be fine, she couldn't push the inner desire away, to want to follow this mysterious being. She ran her hand through her choppy blonde hair, then decided going back to the city was out of the question. There was no way she could possibly show her face there, if they knew she didn't do her job.
Making her way swiftly through the trees, she saw where he had headed, and she knew the mountains well. There was only a few places something of that size could land, and she quickly found the white steed, uncoiling its reins and swinging onto its back, dumping the heavy saddle onto the ground, and kicking him into a gallop. They followed the overgrown trail, the horse speeding through the forest.
~*~*~*~*~*
Hours later, they had finally arived. Slowly, Castion slid off of the horses back, the animal covered in sweat. Her keen eyes glanced around warrily, and she pet the horse softly, starting up the narrow trail.

Re: U n t o l d
Kulukath, about three hours later, roused angrily. He leaned up on his wrists, only to be reminded of his broken one when a sharp pain shot through it as he applied pressure to it. "Ow!" He cried, immediately recoiling and falling back down, hitting his head on the cold rock. He grimaced. Using that much energy had not been a good idea. His head was buzzing uncontrollably and his vision was flickering and unsteady. He felt, to be blunt, like he was drunk.
Though Kulukath was pure of ever being drunk, he wondered if this is actually what it felt like. He tried getting up twice, only to fall back down and injure his wrist further until it fell limp, his healing powers now swelling up on his wrist, making it even more swollen than it should've been. Groaning, Kulukath laid back down and gave up, closing his eyes. He'd have to wait until his wrist was repaired before he could go hunting again.

Re: U n t o l d
A sharp cry made Castian's head whip around, making her horse throw his head up and let out a startled squeel. The cry echoed around them, bouncing off of the rock walls, and rebounding untill it slowly faded away. A sharp thump followed after that, and Castian let the horse loose, knowing he would come find her when he was ready. The steed whinned happily, galloping into the forest, and Castian frowned, slipping silently from boulder to boulder. Stealth wise, she was silent. She used her keen hearing and eyesight to follow the trail of the dragon, seeing where he had landed, where huge scratches had been caused from his claws. She saw where he had transformed back into his.. regular form, and quickly scanned the area.
A sharp cry caught in her throat, and she held herself back from running like a maniac to his limp form, to see if he was alive, but she distinctivley saw his chest rising and falling with deep breaths. His wrist was very swollen, and she slowly crept forward.

Re: U n t o l d
Kulukath had nothing better to listen to, so when he heard the slightest move of the tiniest pebble, he murmured, "Go away, or kill me now. I'm not in the mood to fight you, whoever you are." Kulukath kept his eyes closed, staring at the back of is eyelids, facing up.
His wrist was throbbing uncontrollably and he felt like he could just cut it off. Kulukath groaned in annoyance and rolled over onto one side, accidentally rolling over his bad wrist and he sucked in a sharp breath, opened his eyes, moved his injured hand towards him, and closed his eyes again.
It wasn't that he didn't want to fight, he was just too tired, too vulnerable, and he'd be easily outmatched in this state, despite his amazing strength he'd been born with.

Re: U n t o l d
His quiet words filled the air, flooding away as fast as they had came. At this moment, there was no trace of the strong, powerful being she had almost died from earlier. Her ribs still ached, and she imedietly felt her hand moved down to its sword hilt. Not to kill him of course, but just in case he tried anything stupid. She stalked forward, her feet hardly making a sound on the rough stones. Nearing his body, she stood over him, braced, but leaned down closer, taking her foot and nudging him softly in the ribs.
"My, My." She said quietly, but not at all in an acusing, or smug manner. Deciding it was best to help him now, she bent down and pulled him up to a sitting position, her hands firmly clasped around his bare shoulders.
"Wake up, or I'll slap you-" She threatened, then unsheathed her sword, throwing it behind her, and hearing it clatter as it hit a large boulder.

Re: U n t o l d
Kulukath kept his ears open, listening for her footsteps. She was an assassin, of course, which made it hard to distinguish them, and on top of that, she was an ELF. And elves were usually light on their feet.
He coughed slightly when he felt her foot against his rips and nearly shot up and grabbed her by the leg to pull her down, but he decided against it. Either way, she jerked him into a sitting position and his eyes snapped open and he pulled forcefully away from her. "It's you, is it?" He snapped angrily and shoved himself away from her with his feet, a look of pure hatred on his face. He nearly brandished the horns atop his head at her, but he realized how foolish that would look, so, instead, he just stared at her, eyes narrowed. He didn't trust her. Not one bit.
"Why not just kill me now, while I'm weak?"

Castian leaped backwards skillfully, as he pushed himself away, but neared him again as he glared angrilly at her. "I'm not going to kill you!" She snapped, this time circling him, watching him warrily.
"I dont think so." Her bright eyes took him in, and a slight shiver started down her spine as she saw the look of sheer hatred in his eyes, which made her wonder why she ever came in the first place.

Re: U n t o l d
Kulukath averted his eyes finally and growled to himself. He was hungry and in a foul mood. She really shouldn't be messing with him, he thought. He wanted to just shove her away, very badly, but he knew that one, he didn't have the strength to do so, and two, it wouldn't make anything better. She'd probably just attack him and kill him, like he was ebbing her on to do.
"Why are you here, anyways?" Kulukath snapped, not looking at her.

Castian rolled her eyes at the question, not sure why she really was here. Instead of try to help him sit up like she had done before, she quickly took the flask of water that was strapped over her shoulder, and threw it to him.
"Drink something." She ordered, knowing that he needed it. "If you need me to go... I'll go." She said calmly, but gestured to the sword behind her. "I didn't come to finish you off you know. And I'm expecting that you're going to try and kill me-" Her voice was flat, stating the facts.
"But I'm not focusing on that fact right now."

Kulukath smiled and caught the flask of water in his hand and did a waterfall from it, wiping his mouth and closing the flask, tossing it back to her. He groaned a bit as he shifted his weight, using his bad wrist, and rested his head against the cold rock.
"I don't see why you wouldn't," Kulukath commented casually, his voice betraying no emotions. "I would if I were in your place. You got your money, may as well bring my horned head back to whoever wanted me dead."
Suddenly, Kulukath was interested. "Who wanted me dead in the first place? Who sent you?"

Catching the flask easilly, she set it down, lowering herself down to the ground. Leaning her back against a stone boulder, she crossed her legs and cocked her head to the side. As he asked why she didn't kill him, her eyes hardened.
"Dont ask." She said flatly, firmly, in a tone that said, 'if you do, you're gonna get it!'.
Crossing her arms over her chest, she eyed him with mild curiousity. "Why are you asking?" She asked, raising an eyebrow and watching him closley.

Re: U n t o l d
Kulukath wanted to call her a name (most females weren't allowed to address him in such a manner. He hated it.) but held his tongue. He didn't want to pick a fight he couldn't win. Though maybe, just maybe, he'd pick that fight when he was better. Grimacing at her question, he turned his head to look at her, an expression on his face that clearly spoke he thought she was stupid.
"Do I not have right to know my enemies?" Kulukath spat. He inwardly did a facepalm. She was so clueless, wasn't she?

Castion lowered her eyes. "Of course you have a right." She said quietly. Figuring it was better just to not argue, she closed her eyes tiredly, her arms draped across her torso.
"I really dont know. I was hired by the city of Elmenor, to do this... task. I was met in a dark room, where I was paid. The one who met me there was wearing a long dark cape, and refused to show himself to me."
(Computer issues, so my posts will be short.)

Kulukath sighed heavily, "I should've known. Shadowhaph hired you, eh?" Kulukath shook his head in disapproval. "Good hiree, but if you don't report back to him sometime soon, he'll have scouts sent out. If he finds you alive he'll kill ya."
Kulukath growled angrily. "He's the King of Demons. He ain't no fairy princess. He'll kill mericlessly." Kulukath set his jaw angrily. "One day..." he muttered through clenched teeth, "One day, I'm going to kill that good-for-nothing son-of-a-bitch." Kulukath was staring hard at the ground, as if it had insulted him.

Castian let a small smile flicker across her face. "Thank's for the advice. I'll stay clear of him, dont worry." Her choppy blonde hair blew around her face, the wind strong for being in the mountains. Her ribs ached, but she refused to admit that, and lowered her eyes.
"I hope you do. I mean, I hope you kill him." She said quietly, looking at the stone benieth her feet.

Kulukath stared at her a moment. Nobody had really supported him in his doings before, and her acceptance of his bloodthirst for Shadowhaph startled him. He kept the look off of his face, though, and stared back down at his feet. He groaned and pushed himself to his feet, walking to the edge of the cliff, to the boulder where her sword was and kicked it back to her. "You might be needing that if you're going to get out of here alive," Kulukath commented, watching the setting sun behind the tall pine trees.
He continued speaking without turning to face her, "I'm sure Shadowhaph would've seen dragonfyre by now. Not to mention locate it."

Castian was startled as he got to his feet, walking to her sword and kicking it back to her. The blade skidded over, but she caught it neatly, grabbing it by the handle and standing, quickly sheathing it.
"Probably." Castian said quietly, her voice soft, and sounding tired. "That means you should get out of here." Advising him probably wasn't something she should try to do, but she went for it anyway.

Re: U n t o l d
Kulukath turned and stared at her for a moment, then shrugged. "I can handle him myself, once I get something to eat. After all, I'd feel like a king if it was he who came running to me." Kulukath smirked viciously and turned his head away from her, staring out over the landscape. He definately wasn't going to try becoming a dragon again---not until he was stronger; much stronger.
But he could still shift into animals that took barely any of his energy and killed Shadowhaph, if the demon king was stupid enough to not realize that it was him. Shadowhaph was cunning, yes, he was sly, deceitful, and an amazingly good fighter, yes, yes, and yes. But, Shadowhaph didn't have the sharpest eyes, and that was one of the reasons Kulukath had managed to escape his grasp every time.
Growling to himself angrilly as his stomach growled, Kulukath turned on his heel and began descending the mountain, not caring to wait for the elven assassin. She could come if she wanted to, but he wasn't going to be slowed for a female. Especially one that had been sent to kill him.

Watching with her keen eyes, she saw that this male had started down the mountan side, saying he was hungry. She didn't follow, knowing it would be rude to follow him like persistant puppy. Figuring she needed to eat also, she pushed herself off of the ground, standing straight and raising her arms, and dislodging the bow that was strapped to her back. Yes, she had come prepared to kill him, with the sword, bow and all, but she knew that even if she wanted too, she couldn't kill him.
Slinking noislessly away from the ledge, she knew of a perfect spot, where there was a wild herd of mountain goats. She had also leaned from experience, that goat was actually quite good, and decided it was time to feast again. Creeping slowly, she slunk from one boulder to the next, her boots making no sound on the rock under her feet, her hand holding the bow. Her choppy blonde hair rustled gently in the air, and she saw that one of the goats was alone, a perfect target.
Falling into a crouch, she notched the arrow and drew back, closing one eye and aiming at the heart of the animal.

Re: U n t o l d
Kulukath was a bit pleased that she hadn't followed him, and he trod down the beaten path until he reached a small group of snow-hares, all munching happily on dandelions that were nearly frozen (and mostly dead) as well as dead grass. Using the last of the energy he had, knowing the chase would be worth it, Kulukath shifted into a snow leopard, crouching against the rocks, his coat (besides his black wing which was pressed tightly to the concealed side of his body) blending in perfectly. When the moment came, he pounced out, managing to catch one hare, break its neck, and leap onto another one. He had planned on getting three, but by the time he had killed the second, they had all scattered like wildfire.
Kulukath growled and began eating his hares, steadily feeling the energy come back to him. He didn't bother to return to his humanoid form, though, seeing as it was easier to eat two, full-grown hares when you were a full-grown snow leopard.

Re: U n t o l d
A slight whistling sound passed over the red feathers as the arrow soared through the air, catching the goat by surprise. The head of the arrow dug deep into the animals flesh, and it leaped into the air, kicking out with his hind legs, before spinning and racing away, triping over its own legs. Red blood spilled out of the wound, and Castian turned away, not liking to see the suffering, but knowing it would be worth it. Minutes later, the elf was on her feet, tracking the blood trail, and finding the goat, dead not 50 feet away from its shooting point. It was small, yes, but it had lots of meat. Not caring about the blood, she gutted it right then and there, desposing of the bile and gathering all four of its legs in her hands, carrying it back to the camp with a bit of trouble.
