Eric placed a hand on her shoulder, turning the energetic girl back to face him. "No. I mean, I dont know if I can even participate. Like, in the competition." He said solomly.

America sighed. "You don't have to. I usually go with solos. It makes the judges watch you more intently. And we don't have to make it up. But we do need to have one for the recital." America turned back around. She walked into her mom's office, sitting down and opening the book up, looking at costumes for dance.

Eric placed his hands on his temples, almost like he had a slight headache. "I'll see you tomarrow, America." He said softly, then turned and pushed the glass door open, walking through and into the locker room. He quickly changed into his jeans and T-shirt, then exited the building and started up his Chevy Avalanche.
