"No! I cant! Not yet, dont you understand!?" I asked tears blurring me eyes. "She will make me go see a doctor and get an abortion, kill the baby." I say, wet tears dripping off the end of my nose as my head droops. "I cant tell her, I just cant!" I say, and lean my head against his side, the tears running over his black and white hide.

I flinched slightly at her stern reply, then lower my head and look away from her. I snorted and wondered if her mother would really do that. I twitched, realizing what she meant. She was....pregnant??? Rage boiled within me, and I neighed loudly, pawing the ground with my good leg. I finally decided i'd let her treat my leg and moved it out so it lay in front of me, then nuzzled her shoulder, trying to comfort her. I felt guilty; I hadn't meant to upset her so badly. I nickered softly, hoping she'd forgive me for prodding about it.

I smile, and pet his velvety muzzle softly. "Its ok. I just wish it would never had happened, you know?" I say, and unconciously rub my flat stomach, wondering if I was really pregnant. The thought revolted me, just as much as Kyle did. The morning sickness, the pain, it was all to much for a 15 year old girl to handle. After the area was numbed, I quickly stich up the wound, pulling the piece of skin tight back where it belonged.

I grunted softly as I watched her rub her stomach. I had never really seen a pregnant human before, and i didn't know much about human pregnancy, I just hoped that it wouldn't cause her any pain. I laid my head down and watched her stitch up my leg, only feeling tiny pinpricks that weren't enough to hurt me. Once she was done, I laid on my side, giving her a warm stomach to rest her head on, in case she wanted to. I wondered what would happen to me, now, if she really was pregnant. Would she get rid of me? Would her mother force her to get rid of me? The though scared me. I wanted to stay here. I didn't want to go back to Kyle, and that's probably where Allie's mom would send me, considering that's who I was bought from.

I lay my head on his stomach, sighing. "Diablo, I wont let Kyle take you away. Never ever." I say, rubbing his side as I spoke. His warm body and rythmac breathing made me relax.

1 1/2 Months Later

I get up and strech, before pulling on my jeans, which were starting to become hard to button around the waist. I sigh and leave them unbuttoned, my mother was gone and so couldnt see me. I also throw on a tank top, then hurry out to the barn to see Diablo.

I snorted as I roamed freely in my stall, the wound on my leg only a memory of the past. I hadn't seen Kyle in the last month and a half, and I was pretty glad. I had gained my strength again, and I would kick his butt if he ever tried to lay hands on my Allie again. I had grown much closer to her during these days and we had begun to do frequent trail rides, though we hadn't trained for events yet. I whinnied my usual greeting to her when I saw her, and once she was close enough, I nuzzled her slightly rounded belly, pulling on her shirt playfully, as though I could hear what her baby was saying.

I smile, scratching his head playfully. I then sigh, and flop down on the straw inside of his stall. "What am I going to do boy. I have to tell mom sooner or later. She has already asked why I was getting heavier." I say, rubbing my slightly swollen stomach. I then stand, and retrieve the western saddle I used for trail riding.

I nickered softly and nibbled on her hair, listening to her. I wanted to tell her I didn't care how big she got, she was still my girl. I flicked my tail at flies, knowing I couldn't--and probably never would be able to--answer her question. I was beginning to realize there were some things in Allie's life I had no control over. But giving her pleasure riding wasn't one of them. I saw her get the western saddle and stayed put obediently, ready to be ridden agian. I wondered to myself if she'd still be able to ride me once she began even more pregnant. I hoped she would. Maybe...sidesaddle?

I tacked him up quickly, determined to do something we hadent done before. Instead of using a bit with a curb chain, as I usually did, I slipped a snaffle bit into his mouth, compleate with a speed bridle. I mounted with a grunt, something that was getting harder each day, and squeezed him forward, heading into the woods where I had set up a course a while back.

I snorted as I shuffled the new bit around my mouth with my tongue, getting used to the feeling of it and the new bridle. I set into an easy trot as not to bounce her around too much. My trot was still a bit rough, though, due to the injury on my leg that had never completely healed. I took it as a reminder that I was lucky to be able to be doing this at all. I snorted as we went into a different section of the forest and looked around, eyeing my surroundings with intruige.

I pull him up as we reach a large clearing, three buckets I had smuggled from the barn set up in the barrel racing pattern. I had heard that Kyle was ok, and he was going to compete in a huge show that was coming up in about six months. About a month before I was due. "Do you remember this?" I asked him, petting his shoulder softly.

I snorted and looked at the barrels in their formation, memories flooding back to me. I stopped in my tracks and backed up a bit, reluctant to go towards the all-to-familiar shapes. I wanted to make Allie happy, and I'd do pretty much anything, but now, was it the time? When she was pregnant? I whinnied softly, hoping to get her to let me not do this, but I decided that I would try it once more if she really wanted me to.

I whispered him my plan, about beating Kyle in the show, about winning over him. About showing him he was wrong. But I softly petted him, seeing that he was reluctant to do it again. I backed him away from the course, and turned in the direction of the barn, slightly sighing.

I flicked my ears back to listen to her, agreeing with the plan, but still a bit wary about the barrels. I snorted and listened to her sigh, turning me around. Disappointed in myself, I whinnied and turned my head to look at the barrels in formation. Aggitatedly, I grunted and turned around without a command from her and stood in the ready position I had before, although it seemed like years had passed since I had last stood there.

"No boy, its alright," I say, seeing that he didnt want to do it. I gently patted him on the neck, slightly laughing at myself. Right, I was going to barrel race at 7 and a half months pregnant?

I whinnied forlornly, and hoped maybe she'd be willing to give it a try tomorrow. I whipped my head back and nipped her leg gently, playfully. I snorted and headed back towards the barn, wondering if her mother would be there already. I pondered how long it would take for her mom to figure out that she was pregnant, and what would happen when she did? I grunted again, flicking my tail and not bothering to trot home, just walking, enjoying the scenery around us.

As we enter the cool dark barn, I slide off of his back, gasping a bit when my slightly protuding stomach pressed against the leather of the saddle. I
slide to the ground, my face pale. Leading him to his stall, I quickly run out back, my hand covering my mouth. I then proceeded to throw up, a new round of morning sickness coming on.

I snorted as she grunted coming off my saddle and looked at her with concern. What was wrong? I nicker when she ran back out of my stall, and suddenly a pungent odor filled my nostrils. I whinnied softly and looked over at her, trying to figure out was wrong. I nickered and stomped my hoof, pushing against the door that kept me away from her, and began to pace in circles in my stall, wishing i could reach her.

I coughed, and spit into the grass, the nasty smell filling my nostrils. I turned on the hose, and rinsed out my mouth with the cold water. I then hear my mothers car roll up, and I sigh. I quickly button my too small pants, and pick up a saddle blanket, the material covering my slightly bulging midsection. My mother walkes into the barn, heels clicking on the cement floor.

I snort as I hear the sound of the hose running and turn to my water bucket to see that it was nearly empty. I neigh loudly and impatiently, drinking the rest of the water in there, and then turning to see Allie's mother walk into the stable. I flicked my ears back, as her clicking heels on the floor irritated me. I shook my head and paced in my stall, waiting for those annoying shoes to stop making so much rucus.

"Hi, hi mom!" I say, stuttering a bit. I grab the hose and fill up Diablos water bucket, and then drop some hay into his stall, all the while smiling and holding the blanket close to my waist. She frowns and motiones me over to her. I hesitantly go, and when she wasent looking, wipe any leftover vomit from my lips. "Honey, you know that I told you we have an anual checkup at the doctors today, dont you?" She says, picking a few blades of straw out of my hair. "Why arent you ready?"

I snorted and greatfully plucked some more hay out of her hair, chewing it slowly, and watching her mother. I went to my water bucket and continued to gulp down some water until I heard what Allie's mother said. Wasn't Allie avoiding that....doctor place? Or person? I snorted and accidentally splurted water everywhere, scaring myself to the point where I neighed and backed up into the door, nearly knocking myself over. I shook my head, mane flopping down on my neck, and turned around and stared at Allie's mom, hoping to make her uncomfortable, although I felt extremely pathetic.

I burst out laughing as Mom gets drenched with water. She glares at me, her hair plastered on her head. "Get. Ready. Now." She says harshly, then strides toward the house, shoes clicking. My smile dissapeares, and I run into Diablos stall, sobbing into his wet mane. "I cant go! I cant go!" I say over and over, my tears cascading down my face.

I neigh angrily and sharply at her, wishing I could tell her to take those damned shoes off! I nuzzled Allie, knowing there was nothing i could do now. I knew this moment was going to come sooner or later, although I had desperately hoped it would've come later. Much, much later. Maybe even later to the point it never happened, even though I knew that wouldn't happen. I whinnied softly, trying to encourage her and tell her everything was going to be okay, but I knew it probably wasn't going to be. I sighed and let Allie cry on me, happy that I could be the shoulder she came to whenever she needed comfort.

I wipe my puffy eyes, and sniff, giving Diablo one last hug, then leaving the stall. I ran up to the house, my mother in the shower, singing to herself. Why was she so darn happy!? I ask myself, and run up to my room, changing into a pair of sweatpants that used to be too big on my, but now fit snugly around my midsection. I also changed my shirt into a baggy t-shirt, hoping it would not give away the bulge on my tummy. Though I knew today was the day my mother would find out.

(Can you play the mom for a bit? Since Diablo cant really say anything much while she is gone-)
