Re: Diablo, Competition with the Enemy. (About a rescued horse)
I snorted and whinnied in protest as she pulled me away from the hay. I walk around in circles in my new stall, happy to say that it was much larger than my last stall, which wasn't big enough for me to turn my head in. Kyle hadn't been the most...generous human ever. I breathed out my nostrils and took the hay out of her hands, the tip of my top lip nibbling on her palm gently, slightly coating it with saliva.

Grinning, I then drop the hay into the stall, and move into the stall, petting the horses side, and looking at his scars, my training from the summer vet job helping me out. I run my hands over his front leg, and feel a swollen part, seeming hot to the touch.

I snorted and immediately went to the hay she placed in the stall, snorting and eating it hungrily. I quietly note her enter the stall and I could feel her eyes boring down on me, and tilted my ears towards her. As her hand runs down my leg, I snorted angrily as she touched a part that had been tender for a long time. I grunted and stepped away from her, placing my rump almost directly in front of her face and flicking my tail in agitation.

I step back, my eyes understanding. "It's ok, hold on boy." I say. It was an abcess, and I move to his front leg again, and pull out my jack knife, making a small incision in the abcess. The puss drained out, releiving the pressure and pain in a instant. "Good boy Diablo."

Re: Diablo, Competition with the Enemy. (About a rescued horse)
I saw the knife glint out of the corner of my eye and whinnied loudly. Though when the pain was relieved, I snorted and turned my head to look at her, then pressed my nose against her chest, breathing out, and sending small ripples across her shirt. I nickered lowly and then turned my head, continueing to graze. Maybe... slowly, she would gain my trust... and maybe, slowly, I would grow accustomed to the fact not all humans were as evil as Kyle.

Out of my back pocket, I take a hankerchief and wipe away the rest of the white ooz. "Good boy. Didnt Kyle see that? Why was he riding you like that!" I practically punched the stall wall, then regreted it, as blood started pouring from my split knuckles. "Oww.." I say, wiping the blood on my jeans.

Re: Diablo, Competition with the Enemy. (About a rescued horse)
I felt her whipe away the puss and my eyes looked to her again, my mouth full of hay, though I swallowed it quickly. I heard her talk about Kyle and watched her angrily punch the wall. The pungent smell of coppery blood filled my nostrils, and I pricked my ears, worried about her. I moved my muzzle close to her fist and licked the blood away, even though I despised the taste of blood. I still had scars on the sides of lips from where Kyle had ridden me too hard and broke the skin with the bit, causing me to be forced to drink my own blood, but it was for her, so I quietly accepted it and looked at her with concerned eyes.

Smiling through the pain, I pet Diablos head softly with my uninjured hand, speaking to him in soft tones. I then hear a car pull up, and I step outside the stall, holding my hand behind my back. Footsteps grew closer, then a figure stepped into the barn, hat shading his face. It was Kyle.

I smiled as she pet my head, then I flicked my ears as i heard the car driving before she did. I tilted my head and watched her step out of the stall, as I saw a figure who's eyes were shaded walk up to the stall. As soon as I got a whiff of his sense, I whinnied fearfully and kicked the stall angrily, causing part of it to crack. I backed up into the very back of my stall and pinned my ears, wondering what he was here for.

"What do you want!?" I ask, stepping closer and poking him in the chest boldly. He chuckled, and shoved me hard against the wall, face hard. I gasped. "Your parents arent home, are they?" He asks, pushing me against the wall harder, his fingers crawling under my shirt and on my bare stomach. "No!" I say, before realizing that was a terrible idea. He smirks and pulls off my shirt, me kicking and screaming, but he pulls out a knife and holds it to my throat. I stop, eyes on the blade. He snickers, and unclips my bra, his hand over my mouth.

Re: Diablo, Competition with the Enemy. (About a rescued horse)
I snorted and watched as Kyle was stepping closer and practically violating my human. I snorted and ran up to the stall door and kicked at it desperately, trying to break it open. I neighed loudly, unable to get out of the stall quite yet, and reached my neck out, biting Kyle's hand angrily and pulling him away from Allie, and bit down on one of his fingers, almsot breaking it. I let go of his finger and began to pound against the door again, trying to break the door down so I could get in between Allie and Kyle.

Re: Diablo, Competition with the Enemy. (About a rescued horse)
Kyle screamed, and swung the blade at Diablo, gashing open his leg. He seemed even more angry, and I tried to run, but he picked my up and threw me against the hard floor, my head hitting the concrete with a lound crack. He pinned me to the ground, eyes wild with a fire I had never seen before. We were far away from Diablo, there was no way he could get out of the locked stall. The bolt held firm, even when he kicked it hard. I kick and scream, trying to get him off of me, but he dosent move, his large frame on my small one, practically impossible for me to breath, much less fight him off. I must have passed out, because before I knew it, he was inside of me, our clothes strewn about the barn. I couldnt move, I could fight. And my mother wasent expected home for a few more hours. There was so much pain. I gasp aloud, and Kyle grunts, grinning in my face. I could smell beer on his breath.

Re: Diablo, Competition with the Enemy. (About a rescued horse)
I was forced to kneel when Kyle gashed open my leg. I snorted and knew I had to get out. I stood up, the action causing more blood to gash from my leg. I whinnied in pain, yet continued to batter the door. Suddenly, there was a loud crack, and the door split in half, allowing me to creep out, though the split wood cut through my skin and I neighed loudly in pain, and limped around until I found them. My leg hurt, but I kicked Kyle upside the head and tore him away from her, trampling his arm and neighed loudly before stumbling and falling over, not attempting to get back up.

Kyle rips himself out of me, and attacks the horse, kicking him hard in the barrel. I scream and rush forward, and he looks at me, eyes gleaming. "See ya later, sister!" He crudly remarks, then collects our clothes. "A keepsake-" He says, not giving me my clothes back, and shoving them into the front seat of his truck. He gets dressed, then speeds out of the driveway, leaving a plume of dust behind him. I gasp and fall next to diablo, sobbing as I crawl into a fetal position, my bare body covered with scratches and bruises, a trickle of bright red blood coming from a gash on my head.

Re: Diablo, Competition with the Enemy. (About a rescued horse)
I snorted and cringed as he kicked my barrel and wheezed momentarily, seeing him leave. The dust plumed into my face and I coughed. I watched Allie crawl closer to me, and I knew immediately I had to get her to the house. I had to do something. I whinnied softly to her and struggled to get to my feet, falling down twice, before finally getting to my feet. I nudged my snout underneath her belly, careful not to hurt her anymore, and slowly ebbed her onto my back. I snorted and began limping very slowly towards the house, neighing loudly, hoping another one of the two-legs was close enough to hear my cries for help.

I find myself on his back, but slip off, needing to attend to his wounds. "No boy, easy. Thanks for helping, but nothing can help me now." I say, and start to sob as I lead him back to his stall, and lay him down, grabbing gauze and ointment from a shelf overhead. I run my hand over his wound, my knuckles now scabbed.

Re: Diablo, Competition with the Enemy. (About a rescued horse)
I snorted and tried to refuse treatment, but my leg hurt terribly and i laid down, looking at her small figure, wondering why she insisted on helping me when she needed more help than I. I neighed loudly again, praying somebody would hear me and come and help her. The wound on her head was obviously worse than she cared to admit. I snorted and thought to myself how I wished I could be as strong as her.

I finish wrapping his wound, my fingers trembling slightly as I realize what had happened to me. In silence, I pet him softly, the exit the stall, limping up to the house. I reach the front door, and fall to the carpet, sobbing. I crawl to my room, and pull a shirt over my head, along with some pants, then grab a blanket, and rush outside, back to the barn.

Re: Diablo, Competition with the Enemy. (About a rescued horse)
I whinnied loudly as she left me, and for what seemed like hours, turned out to be minutes, and she finally returned to me carrying a blanket. I lifted my head and looked at her, concern in my eyes. I didn't know exactly what had happened, but I knew it wasn't good. I could tell by her pink eyes that she had been crying, and I nickered softly, trying to get up and get closer to her to comfort her.

I contune to sob, and slip through the hole in the door, and curl up next to the horse, laying the blankey over us. The sun started to set, and rays of golden sunlight iluminated the barn. I burried my face in his mane and cried, my eyes red and puffy.

Re: Diablo, Competition with the Enemy. (About a rescued horse)
I snorted, worried about her. I allowed her to curl up beside me, hoping she would stay with me for the rest of the night. I sighed and listened to her sobs, each one killing me inside. She was such a nice girl, why would Kyle ever want to hurt her? Now, I thought, we both had something against him. I flicked my ears back to hear her cries, it stilling me to know I was of some comfort to her. I lifted my head and nibbled on her hair gently, hoping the act would at least make her stop crying for a little while -- if only for a moment.

I sniffed and rubbed my eyes, not able to cry anymore. I threw my hands around his neck, and fell asleep in an instant, the horse comeforting her. She realized she would have to tell her mother, but she wouldnt tell her. Not yet at least.

Re: Diablo, Competition with the Enemy. (About a rescued horse)
I sighed again and felt her throw her arms around my neck, and I shed a tear for her, scared for what the outcome of Kyle's actions would be. I stayed up until 2AM guarding her, making sure Kyle wasn't going to come back, and I saw figure in the doorway. I neighed lowly, but realized it was Allie's mom. I whinnied softly to her, begging her silently to come in and help her daughter, who was in obvious pain, and tearstains still streaked her face.

Mother-
I rush forward, and open the stall door, kneeling down by my daughter and the horse. I didnt wake her though, leaving her to rest. I would talk to her in the morning. I pulled the blanket around her shoulders, and petted the horses nose softly.
