Feather shook her head as a giant mountain cat leaped and stood in front of them. "No, I'm not leaving you to get killed. You go one way, I go the other. It will be confused who to get first," she demanded and looked at the mountain cat. "Now."
She went to the left of the mountain cat.

Chase was about to refuse but Feather had already bolted off to the left. The mountain lion leaped at Chase as he dashed to the right, double-barreling (bucking) as he thundered off into the trees with the cat hot on his heels. His long roan mane flagged out behind him as the wind picked up again. "Enough" his voice boomed through the trees. The stud skidded to a stop and spun around to face the lion. He snorted and reared as the mountain lion struggled to skid to a stop. Chase stomped on the ground inches from the puma's nose. He reared again and turned around, kicking out into the air at th cat. The stallion bound off in a circle around the cat, teasing it. Chas snorted and leaped at the cat unexpectantly. He broke its tail, it screamed in pain and fell to the ground. The stud finished it with a quick blow to the head. Chase reared and nieghed in victory, his voice echoed through the forest. Chase landed with a soft thud, "Feather! It's okay now" he looked around for his friend as he trotted back up the path he had just ran and up to the cave, "Feather!?"...

Feather fell in a dark preciprice and looked around. She had been uncousious for a while. She looked around. "Hello?" she asked. She called looking in the small preciprice below. She began to walk through it when something caught her eye. It was a beautiful pool, a waterfall falling down into it. Without hesitation, she made her way to the small pool. She realized it was crystal clear and it looked as if it was shinning with stars. She leaned down, and took one sip of it. She looked around, suddenly feeling tired she lied down and put her hooves in the water falling asleep.

(Whay's a preciprice?)

When Chase reached the cave Feather was no where to be seen, "Feather!?" it was obvious that he was anxious. The stallion looked around franticly, his keen eyes surching through the trees, he called again but there was no answer. The wind howled again as it carried the cry if wolves that had scented the death that lay only meters back. Chase lowered his nose to the ground, "She said left" He said quietly. The stud turned in the direction and followed her scent.

Darkness had fallen when suddenly the ground fell from underneath him. He hit his head on a large rock, knocking him unconscious. Blood trickled from behind his eye, forming a small pool on the dusty ground...
